If you're looking for a place to enjoy some delicious food, shop for unique items, and admire the stunning views of the city, you should definitely check out Empire Stores. This historic building used to be a warehouse complex, but now it's a vibrant destination that offers something for everyone. You can explore the food hall, where you'll find a variety of cuisines and flavors, from pizza and tacos to sushi and ice cream. You can also browse the market, where you'll discover local artisans and vendors selling everything from clothing and accessories to books and art. And don't forget to visit the rooftop, where you can relax on the lawn, sip a cocktail, and take in the breathtaking skyline of Manhattan. Empire Stores is more than just a building, it's an experience that you won't want to miss.
A wonderful urban escape with tons of arts and style with cuisines from all over the globe. The views from the food court are amazing. Prices are decent and you get a 20% discount if you use Apple pay to pay on Saturday. Indoor dining space did seem a bit packed when I went (Sunday afternoon). My favorite exhibit was the Multiply 2019, which using a camera could move the tiles on the board as you moved. If in DUMBO, this is definitely a place to visit to grab food and enjoy amazing views. The architecture inside was also quite enjoyable.
A very wide range of excellent food all on offer in one location. Competition between mini-restaurants is fierce so they all bring their A-game. Handmade donuts and canolis next to vegan everything, adjacent to Ramen, across from Ice cream, and around the corner from barbecue, southern comfort food, Italian, and breakfast fare. Upstairs has scenic views with pizza, meats, and alcohol. Can't go wrong at this Brooklyn intitution.
Came here today especially to see the new Tom Fruin glass house (available through May, 2019). The place offers great view of the city and the two bridges from the third and forth floors. I was only looking, didn’t buy anything so I can’t recommend any of the stores or restaurants. So my experience was completely free and wonderful, I highly recommend visiting. Such a fun ️ shopping center and eatery with tons of food vendors from ramen to burgers and fries. Tons of retail spaces, indoor and outdoor seating, rooftop walkways and seating, along with beautiful views of the Brooklyn bridge and lower Manhattan. They also have ample ♿ handicap accessible ️ parking, seating, and restrooms.
Beautiful new indoor shopping mall. If you go to the 5th floor you can get a super nice view of manhattan and both bridges. Everything in there is super pricy, especially the food, but it’s like that everywhere in dumbo now. Also there’s a public restroom but it had the longest line for the woman’s restroom I had ever seen in my entire life.
It's a adaptive reuse project of a warehouse. So from outside it looks like nothing but you will find it surprisingly intimate when you go inside. The architecture and structure itself is speechless. There are not many stores so you will feel spacious but not like crowded in other shopping mall.
Empire Stores is a lovely haven located right outside of Brooklyn Bridge Park on Water Street. There are free public bathrooms & you can grab a bite when you visit! It’s a great spot for a break while you’re adventuring around Brooklyn, highly recommend!
This is one of the nicest building in Brooklyn. Over seeing the Brooklyn Bridge basically right on the water. The time out market has whatever you need. So many different options. - Dumbo House and Cecconis are my go too!
Crowded but amazing. Same building as time out market, so look around, get some food, visit the bar rooftop, do some shopping, etc. amazing overall, especially the view
