Dear Sir/Mam I have been a customer of your Engen Garage for the last ten years. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on having and maintaining such excellent staff and the service that you provide. I have watched monitored your staff not only with myself but with others customers as well and they are absolutely consistent. When I mean staff I mean all round, inside, outside, carwash etc. This morning I popped into the store to get donuts for my Staff at the hospital as we had such a hectic Monday and I wanted to give them a sweet treat Tuesday, I am always greeted with love and respect and made to feel like a celebrity. The store was extremely busy and I didn't see the donuts I wanted, so I was going to stop at Spar or Pick and Pay. I didn't want to bother the bakery staff as I know it's always displayed on the counter. Pretty asked me why was I leaving without purchasing anything, I explained that they didn't have my favorite donuts, she asked me to wait so she could check for me. She checked for the Donuts and they had made them, she packed 24 for me in Boxes. Despite the Bakery insisting that I can must take mixed she went above and beyond and gave me what I requested. This morning your staff member retained revenue for you and I spent R72 at your store for 24 Mini Donuts. I further contacted her to check if the donuts was eggless as some of my staff where fasting and she promptly enquired and let me know. This may seem like a small amount, but if you add up going above and beyond all the time, then she is definitely retaining customers and bringing in money. I witnessed her helping another customer yesterday afternoon also going the extra mile. I popped in quickly to drop a chocolate off for her, but felt this email really needed to be sent. ALL your staff are absolutely amazing, many staff complain about their salaries to customers it happens every, I have not once heard them complain. I do hope that they all get a extremely special Bonus this December. We always feel much better than when we walked in. To you and your Fanatic Team keep up the great work. Warm Regards

The car wash is very poorly run . The guy who is in charge stands around with people who seem to be his friends having their cars washed for hours whilst the people piling up in the queues of cars are not attended to timeously . He has been doing this for years now and nothing has been done about this . When "posh" cars arrive they are allowed between and hour to an hour and half of attention and detail and the drivers of those cars are allowed to stand around and have long conversations even when their cars are done while other cars have to wait for them to move . I arrived at the cash wash today at 12.00 and its 13.26 and still they have not seen to me yet I was only the 4th car in the queue. I'm so glad I no longer have to tolerate this as I am leaving Durban for good . So sad that the levels of service excellence in Durban has been reduced to this

Pathetic Service Station. Staff is lazy and never want to assist. They think they are doing you a favour by working there. The staff at the Bakery counter never help. The manager is never around. Service station always seems to be short staffed. The Bakery always runs out of stock and they are never ready on time. Staff just walk around doing nothing. The is a oversized petrol attendant that is rude and absolutely slow. He is always passing his work on to other petrol attendants, who I think are afraid coz of his size.

Last 5year I become this store I be used my wife Woolworths in the night and the was no problem cause she was in the car and give me authority to the salesperson refused to let me used it I explained you him she's not well and but she's in the car I pointed to the car and he still refused to do. He proceeded to discuss me To the other customers in Zulu that have stolen the card guys do not support them because what they have done is wrong and disrespectful to discuss client's business with other people in the store

Awesome store, I normally pop past for the delicious milktarts. Lately, the consistency of these milktarts has not been up to standard. They're normally so creamy and smooth, but on my last 2 occasions, they've been lumpy and bases are really thin which makes them fall apart. Where's the Master Baker there .. But I'll still keep coming back.. This is just some constructive criticism..

Petrol filling and service is good. Car wash on the other hand is pathetic. Car wash is under equipped. Old rough wash cloths were used with less foam which created horrid swirl marks all over my new car >:( They don't use grit guards in their wash buckets either.They didn't have the correct soft brushes/tools to wash the rims. For that price I expect much better!!!

We walked into the store and did not acknowledge that we had our masks dropped below our nose an mouth and were harassed an chased out the store as if we were dogs instead of politely asking us to put our masks up ... this a pathetic to treat another human being like this embarrassing us infront of other customers as if we are animals

Needed petrol.for my generator today, was turned away by the staff because I had a plastic container. The same container that the garage has filled in for me over the last 4 years. Was really disappointed, another service station filled my plastic container. Unfortunately the service at this station is dropping.

Must say that this morning I bought the mini chicken pies from the store at the garage. What a rip off. Totally disappointed with the pies. No filling at all inside. Just air pockets brushed with a little chicken tasting sauce. Never again. Please Management do something about this. Not acceptable.

The bakery is absolutely outstanding! Besides the baked goods being fantastic, the staff are so helpful and friendly. I have to say a huge thank you to all the bakery staff who assisted me with having donuts ready for me at 6.30am for my daughter's school. Outstanding!

CAR WASH WAS VERY BAD. DAMAGED MY NEW RED CAR WITH SWIRL MARKS ON THE PAINT. VERY UPSETTING. Car wash guys also pushed my side Mirrors in and out very aggressively. They are terribly under equipped to wash cars. I want compensation to get the swirl scratches removed.

Always enjoyed shopping at the shop and filling up at the petrol station but due to myself and my family being harassed by several undesirable characters who are always there day and night we feel threatened so will not go there until the situation improve

The worst experience. Went in to fill up (full house), the attendant couldn't open the valves to fill up.pressure, and none of the other attendants wanted to assist. The worst service ever. Will never fill up at this service station. Just a bad attitude.

I was really impressed with the service I received today. The petrol attendant named Sipho was extremely helpful and courteous. He went out of his way to assist me. Thank you Sipho. I will definitely recommend this service station to others.

Pathetic service from sipho on new years day... Filled fuel n tyre pressure first he starts filling 2.3 bars and when I notified him he said o just relax n he threw away my pressure valve caps andn when I questioned him said it was broken.

Beautiful set up at the garage. The only reason that I will never go back there is because there's too many beggars hanging around which makes everyone uncomfortable. You cannot even go out for an evening walk in that area.

The man behind the counter had zero communications skills and was rude. After I asked his name he walked away and would not give it to me in order to make a complaint. Surely this is not how Engen train their employees.

Staff are super friendly and approachable. Not too happy with the Krispy Kreme doughnuts sold here as it sometimes isn't fresh- however, the Soji cake at the bakery is delicious. The car wash facilities are good too.

Beggars every time I arrive. It is absolutely shocking!!! Beggars should not be allowed by petrol stations in the masses. Gives the petrol station a very bad name and I personally avoid going there these days.

Car wash was complete in 25 minutes. Site like all other service stations has a quick convenient store. Staff is always friendly.Fuel fill up is fast with rewards points form clicks.

Extremely neat and tidy. Service is excellent. The store is verynwell stocked and they have the most amazing donuts which is not oily and Extremely light and fluffy.

They have a woolies vibe in there and a rad bakery for late night snacking. The jam squares are tight if you're on a budget. No super M though :(
