Since relocating from jhb to kzn in january, i thought i had found the perfect garage. So everyday my kids attend activities between 15:30 and 17:00 in assagay, between this time i would either pop in to fill up fuel 3x times per week averaging R1600, so monthly on average about R6000, i will also waste about 30min by going inside the convenience store and purchasing whatever it is that i need. This went on for 6 months and i was very pleased. However last week the super (healthy - by no means fit) floor manager comes to my vehicle and asks me to leave as i had been parked off for more than 20minutes. So i kindly explained to him that he knows my vehicle and face, and that i am a very regular customer and i love the garage and store that is why i choose to support and relax for 30 minutes whilst waiting for my kids. His response was sorry we need to clear the parking lot as they have 15 minute signs all over. Well guess what guys, its every single customer that makes your business survive, imagine no customers driving in then what? No problem from my side, i adjusted my routine, i now take a drive to Hillcrest corner to waste time and support the Caltex garage at the top, im sure my R6000per month means alot to them.

At the start of the comrades marathon our car got broken into. The entire left front window gone. The staff at Engen Polo Pony Convenience Centre help us with a temporary solution free of charge. So friendly, helpful and approachable. Don't know what we would've done without them! They saved the day and therefore we made it on time to see my dad cross the finish line! (They also have delicious krispy kreme doughnuts and coffee to help calm the nerves.) Thank you to Corné and Gregory and all the friendly staff at Polo Pony. It is much appreciated!

I always have great experiences here. Tonight I was trying to enter the hype competition. Had a nasty interaction with a cashier called Nomusa. She was just not having it. It's horrible as this is such an examplary service station. I tried to request her surname and a number for a manager, and she blatantly refused and told me where to get off. Il still come here however. Service is usually number one!

I was saved by the manager I believe he was.. after leaving durban and not paying attention to my petrol level I ran out of petrol just passed the garage. Corne drove out to meet me very quickly with petrol, some water and a sweetie for my kids. Really happy with the help I received and I will make sure I always look at my Guage properly again

It's always a pleasure to shop here. I go for the woolies shop, not so much the fuel. Staff are usually very friendly and helpful. Pricey, but very handy convenience food shop. They also have a nice coffee ☕️ takeaway and a Steers in store. All told pretty decent for a quick stop on your way home or otherwise …

Thank you to Manager Patrick and his incredible friendly team. We picked up a flat tyre on the M13 and "limped" to the Engen. His staff saw our plight and just climbed in to change our right rear wheel... Sincerely appreciated and dually rewarded... guests Arthur and Janine safely home …

Please explain to me how customers can't park in reverse but staff may? Also the attitude of your managers or supervisors in red shirts is pathetic towards senior disabled clients . I will never ever use your garage again and I will be taking this to social media . Absolutely ridiculous

We popped there this morning for our coffee club meet up and had a really great and well priced Cuppacino and Muffin combo for just under R30. Staff were friendly and efficient. The convenience shop itself was very well stocked and has a remarkable variety. Definitely worth supporting.

I had a unpleasant experience with a cashier,who had a bad attitude towards me. The next day I visited the garage to share my experience with management. I spoke the manager who promised to attend my matter, but till today he never got back me for a feedback.

Always love stopping here but lately the cappuchino has not been good. It appears to be a strong coffee with a bit of milk. Sorry guys you need to up your game and revert back to an excellent cappuchino. Star rating = for the cappuchino only
