I visited this branch today, 23 April 2019 around 7PM. I rented an automatic for health reasons from Enterprise Leicester branch. The car developed a flat tyre, I called the Leicester branch and was advised to first try the repair kit. I used it but the puncture was on the side so it did not work. They transferred me to the AA who sent a recovery. AA was very helpful and temporarily fixed the tyre for me. He said that the tyre should be replaced as it would not stay inflated overnight. I informed the Leicester branch about this, they requested me to take the vehicle to the local Enterprise branch, in Macclesfield where the tyre went flat. I called the Macclesfield branch and they did not have any vehicles in stock to swap, so they requested me to take the car to the Manchester Airport branch who would definitely swap for an automatic. So this is what I did, I drove to the Manchester Airport branch and at this point was frustrated because I had been driving since 5AM and I felt that Enterprise was not interested to help me as they kept asking me to arrange things instead of them picking up the phone and organising a replacement. Upon arriving at the airport branch I explained the situation, although I was extremely annoyed at no point was I disrespectful, but I was assertive. I explained that I needed an automatic replacement. The person I spoke to said he was a manager. He said that there were no automatics. He tried to offer me manual vehicles below the standard of my rental, which I find totally ridiculous and completely unacceptable. He lied to me because he did have automatic cars to offer, such as an Audi which I know was automatic. I suggested he gave me that vehicle and he said that he couldn't. Actually he could but preferred to irritate and antagonise me. If I rented an automatic which was for health reasons which I won't divulge as this is a public review, he should've replaced with another automatic no matter what due to the inconvenience. Instead he preferred to be cheap, display awful customer service, do the bare minimum, and expected me to be pleased. He said that I was rude to him which is totally untrue, because he was dismissive and unhelpful and therefore did not deserve me to be nice and calm. At no point I ever used foul language, I was merely asserting that I was not going to leave with a car that's worse than the one I rented (this is a business rental and I'm a regular Enterprise customer). Despite this not being the branch where I collected the vehicle the company purports to be customer friendly however on this occasion the total opposite occurred. I will make a formal complaint about this manager as he had an automatic and should've offered it. Now due to using the clutch on the manual car he gave me for only a 10 mile journey my knee is killing me with pain. I started my day at 5am, drove from Manchester to Leicester, then Leicester to Birmingham, then back to Leicester and Manchester all on a single day. I was not expecting an Enterprise manager to be putting his bottom line first. Had he been empathetic and given me an automatic even if it was of a higher category because it was the only one in stock at his branch then this review would be the opposite. Do not trust Enterprise to help when things go wrong.

Update after communicating with Enterprise per their response (original intact below): They have ignored my complaint that the clerk lied about what would happen if I declined additional coverage. They said "Coverage are optional and can be declined". Nice ignore. They were glad I found "fuel at a cheaper rate" - ignoring that I actually paid their inflated price after the clerk lied about the prices. Their response to charging me additional taxes was that I had not prepaid for the entire rental period, and they billed for one more day (I paid for my entire rental up front from Expedia, and my Expedia receipt says I was paid in full). So to summarize, their clerk lied, and charged me extra, then the company did not deal with it when I contacted them. I suggest if you're thinking of renting from them, stay away. You will get scammed and will have no recourse. If there are any denials from them in any further response, I will post my complete invoices from Expedia and Enterprise as graphics here. I would be happy to, and you'd see exactly what they get up to. Perhaps I should also post my emails to them and their response if you need to see how they tried to sidestep everything, either ignoring or pretending to ignore my actual complaints. I thought from their response below that they might actually attempt to deal with this, but they did not, so I will NEVER rent from them again, or any of their affiliated companies. Yes - be sure you know that some of the other rental places are in fact the same company (e.g. Alamo, and National). ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’d prepaid for my three week rental as part of my Expedia vacation package. The clerk commented at what a great price I’d got, and that I must have booked and paid some time ago, as the prices had recently gone way up (I had). Then he told me I had to pay £52 in mandatory taxes anyway. I had no choice - the clerk would not let me have the car I paid for until I paid the extra tax. Then he pressured me to buy excess coverage. When I declined, and said my credit card covers me, he insisted I would be personally responsible for up to £24,000 if the car was totalled. This seemed very fishy so I took a risk and refused. Then he told me their fuel was a better deal if I prepay, as the £1.70/L was far better than the over £2 the petrol stations were charging. I admit I fell for that one. Later I saw the petrol stations were actually charging £1.65/L. Then he wanted a £200 deposit. Not a hold, but an actual charge. Luckily when I returned the car, I got the deposit back, and an additional £50 “courtesy” for complaining about the rest of the nonsense. What an experience though. The clerk simply lied about the insurance (I checked the website), and also lied about the petrol price. The tax should not have been charged, as my original Expedia receipt clearly said all charges and taxes were included in what I’d paid. I will never choose this company again. I never had any bad experience with Avis in the past, so I will stick with them next time.

I would like to share my awful experience with Enterprise in Manchester Airport. We decided to rent a car for the long bank holiday weekend to enjoy the free time we get with our 2 babies. We rang Enterprise who sold us a Mondeo type of car on the phone and told us to pick it up from Manchester Airport (we are based in Bolton). We arrived at the car rental village in Manchester airport and went to reception who tried to give us a focus or another smaller car which was nothing wrong with but we said no as we were booked for a Mondeo size vehicle. We were then told that there was an error and were charged for a focus type not a Mondeo but we were still happy to pay for the supplement although it was not our fault!!! After doing so, they asked us to pay for the deposit which is absolutely fine and normal, no issue with that at all. As we tried to pay for the deposit, they refused to take the very same card we initially made the payment with for the rental (standard visa debit). Some of the staff, namely Paul Ross was extremely rude and dry and refused to discuss or help at all in any way or another. To sum it up, we were dragged to Manchester Airport to collect the wrong car which we paid for on the phone prior to arriving there and even ended up paying a supplement even though it wasn't our fault, then we were refused any car at all as we had to have a credit card to pay for the deposit, no visa debit accepted!!! When we rented the car on the phone, we said that we were going to pay the deposit with the same visa debit and they said it was fine. When we received the order confirmation online, there nothing to indicate that only credit cards are allowed to make payment of the deposit, and we were not advised on the phone either!!! and on the top of that, we were treated like garbage, namely by Paul Ross whose attitude was appauling and totally unprofessional even in front of the branch manager who was totally unhelpful and not interested. While we were regular customer at Enterprise in Bolton and even have a membership with them, some of the staff at Manchester Airport was totally out of order and rude, we will never recommend Enterprise, namelly the branch in Manchester airport to anyone. They wasted our time and money (over 3 hour trying to resolve that deposit payment issue with 2 babies). While I can appreciate that internal mistakes and errors can happen, this should not be done at the expense of the customer.

High pressure sales on arrival after long haul flight Firstly let me just say I flew around the world 24 hours flying time 38 hours total travel time to visit my dying Grandmother. I arrive late night, the car has already been arranged and booked in advance. The sales person immediately goes into up sell mode. Trying to sell additional insurance to me and upgrades. I told him I have adequate insurance and as will only be using the car to visit my Nan who is dying (now dead) unlikely to be at risk so here is what he said. If you get a flat tyre you will be liable 1000 pounds without roadside assist, i challenged him looking at the brand of the tyre they were unlikely to cost 1000 pound per tyre and if they do then needs a new supplier. He then said any chip on the wind screen will cost 1000 pounds, very high pressure tactics for a man who has come at extremely short notice and just wants to see his Nan. I asked ok if I sign for this can I leave, he said of course. So I take some photos and quick video of a blue car that I had booked. The sales man then offers me a upgrade car, I said I was happy, after a number of times him repeating himself, I said if I sign up for the upgrade can i get out of here quickly. He stated yes, so went though the same motions of looking at the car. Luckily for me a college of his came out and distracted the sales person thus allowing my escape after paying the significant mark ups in the cost of what I originally booked. The car I was provided was actually very uncomfortable to drive and no explanation provided on the basics using the electronics (of which were many). Anyway the short version is my experience was one of extremely high pressure up selling and even though I told him i was in a rush to see my dying Nan I was delayed for 30 -40 minutes while he pushed the up selling agenda. I signed up for the upgrades as seeing my Nan was more important than the money. Thank goodness I got to see her while still cognitively aware then over the next few days she slipped into the next life. On return I was advised that I had parked in the wrong location, even though the night staff had told me to come to that area. On the upside the return was relatively hassle free and staff minimally helpful.

The lack of coordination among staff members was evident as each person offered conflicting reasons for the delay – from car cleaning to unspecified issues. My grievances were communicated to the manager, who appeared understanding and promptly arranged for an alternative vehicle. However, despite assurances of compensation due to the 90-minute delay, which caused me to miss crucial meetings, no resolution was offered. This prolonged wait, resulting in missed appointments, was highly inconvenient and disappointing. What added to the frustration was the lack of functional vending machines on-site. Despite attempts to seek assistance, there was no access to drinks or any form of refreshments during this prolonged period of uncertainty. The inconsistent responses from various staff members only added to the confusion and lack of clarity regarding the situation. Despite the manager’s promise to follow up on compensation for the inconvenience caused, there was a complete lack of communication thereafter. The unfulfilled commitment left me utterly disappointed and dissatisfied with the overall customer service experience. In conclusion, my encounter with Enterprise Car Hire at Manchester Airport was marred by inefficiency, extended wait times, missed opportunities, and a lack of accountability in addressing customer grievances. Such instances highlight the need for significant improvements in both service coordination and responsiveness to customer concerns. I hope sharing this experience serves as constructive feedback for Enterprise Car Hire to reevaluate their operational strategies and prioritize customer satisfaction. By far, the worst experience I’ve faced so far anywhere in the world. When we arrived; we had to wait 2.5 hours for our vehicle. We got an “upgraded” car, however, this car gave us issues we never anticipated. Upon exiting the airport, the tire popped. We had to wait on the motorway side for 6 hours while their preferred vendor AA refused to offer us service for almost 4 hours and finally when they did- they put a plug on the tire and told us to go the next day to a tire shop to get a new tire. When I went the next morning to national tires; I waited for 4 hours for enterprise to approve the tire - and they didn’t approve to put the tire because it was to “expensive” and this vendor didn’t have a budget tire. I was told I would receive a call for next steps and I haven’t. It’s now become risky to drive this car with this tire on because the plug has a life of a 100 miles; and I’ve gone well over that. Additionally, driving on the motorway is next to impossible because I can’t surpass 45miles an hour according to their advice and instructions. My stay in UK is for less then 7 days; and the inconvenience and experience with enterprise so far has effected my stay, and really killed some of the limited time I have. I was told I would hear back with my options from the office at the village, but never heard back. I even asked to just exchange my car locally where I’m staying in leicester and was told over the phone that “no cars are available” and I’m certain no body even took the time to check for the replacement before concluding that. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again after this experience.

I hired a car from Manchester airport and dropped it off the next morning at east Midlands airport as arranged. They did not confirm that i had dropped tha car off which they should have emailed me. The next day i called the customer services and they had no idea that i had dropped the car, the agent and i tried to contact the east Midlands Airport branch by phone a few times but they did not answer. Two days later i managed to get in contact with east midlands and they said they cannot do anything on their side as i hired the car from the manchester branch. I called the manchester branch and they had no idea until I explained, they said they would have to get in contact with East Midlands to confirm drop off, mileage and fuel then they would return my deposit. A few hours later i get a call from enterprise asking why i had only dropped the car off that morning! (2 days later) i was not happy at all. I explained i had dropped the car off 2 days before and i have spent the first couple of days of my holiday trying to sort this out. Still up to now i have not had any email confirming that i have dropped the car off and i will be getting my deposit back. I had to hire the car as an emergency as i had missed my flights from manchester and the next flight was from east midlands. I had to use my holiday money to pay for the car hire and deposit. I thought i may be getting my deposit back within 2 to 3 days but doesnt look like it due to their lack of communication. I will not be using their services again.

I got a decent price when booking my flights a week's rental. The shuttle bus from Manchester Airport was prompt and it only takes a few minutes to get to the 'rental village'. All the rental companies share a centralised booking office and then they send you to a satellite key/car collection office. Staff were very polite, the young lady that served me was friendly and chatted, making a customer feel at ease. So nice to not be dealing with a robot person. The staff at the collection office tried to sell me a waiver policy, which was expensive. I booked full cover independently with my flights for a fraction of the cost. Do not fall for the Enterprise scheme. Once he was satisfied with my cover he told me that they did not have me selected vehicle and do upgraded me (basic Vauxhall Astra to a Nissan Quashqi Sport with full comfort spec and Sat nav). I noticed two door scuffs and went back to tell him. He ok'd it but I shot video evidence of the scuffs just in case. They do with old a £200 deposit but mine was credited back to my card within 4 days of return. Not the first time I have used Enterprise and definitely not my last. Good service and prices every time.

Had a bit of a bumpy start due to some issues on pick up related to car availability, however the team sorted the issue relatively quickly and to a standard that I was more than happy with. The car we ended up with was brand new, clean and an upgrade to what I had originally booked. All the staff on pickup were super friendly and apologetic for the issues, Suhaib, was great in sorting the issue. We unexpectedly needed to extend our rental, due to being caught in bad weather on the Isle Of Skye, which was during the Christmas Public Holidays, rang and spoke too Annabelle, who was an absolute superstar. She was so understanding of the situation and provided us with an instant and easy resolution to our worries, without any question or hesitation. In a few minutes she had relieved us of a huge amount of stress, her friendly demeanour, and professionalism was so greatly appreciated and epitomised what good customer service should look, sound and feel like. Overall has been a great rental experience which was then only made better by Annabelle. Thanks so much Enterprise/Alamo Manchester!

Really poor service compared to other branches, I ended up getting an expensive item stolen from the car after returning it and had to jump through hoops to get them to admit negligence. I left a pair of expensive sunglasses in the car when I returned it. I realised 5 minutes after and returned to the desk to ask if they could grab them for me. I was told to wait for a short while which ended up being over 1 hour by which time they told me that they'd accidentally sent the car out without it being checked or cleaned and that I could call the manager the next day to ensure the item would be posted. After around two months of contacting them they're "unable to locate the item". Thankfully I was able to get in touch with somebody higher up the chain who is arranging compensation for the stolen item and has apologised for the poor service of the branch team and area manager. I'd avoid this branch of Enterprise if you want to avoid having to go through the same lengthy process!

WARNING ENTERPRISE ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED I rented a car for a one way trip. Collected form Manchester Airport. When I dropped it off at the other end 3 or 4 hours later, the agent saw some old damage. He acknowledged that it wasn't my fault and had his manager confirm that they knew it was from before my rental. Apparently Manchester Airport offload their damaged stock on one way rentals so that it becomes someone else's problem. I then spoke to the Manchester airport office who assured me that I wouldn't be charged. Three months later they take over £700 from my credit card. And guess what the branch cant remember saying that I wouldn't be charged. Further warning if you call the 'damage recovery unit' to try and resolve it, you may get the chance to speak to the single rudest person on earth! UPDATE: Enterprise responded to this to ask me to contact them to resolve. I guess to try to save their reputation in the reviews. However they do NOT reply to the emails sent.

The rental experience itself was average, with nothing good or bad really to report. After I returned home, however, the difficulty started. I received a notification in May of 2019 that while renting the vehicle a violation was issued in Liverpool and I was charged administration fees without authorization. I contacted the company to dispute the charges, and as of September of 2019, I have not received a single document to of evidence for the violation, yet the administration fees have still be charged. The customer service contacts have not been helpful thus far in any way. I would recommend avoiding this company. UPDATE 9.10.19: Please see that Enterprise responds to all of their terrible reviews with an email address to help. I sent a detailed email nearly 3 weeks ago and never got a response. What they've done here is actually made the customer experience even worse, which was difficult to accomplish. I've lowered my review from a 2 to a 1 with this development.

I flew in to the UK at Short notice for my Brothers funeral. Having booked the car through Enterprise directly by telephone I spoke to a very nice lady Called Isabelle, probably at the central booking centre. She was very polite and efficient, she was very upfront with the pricing and assured me there would be no hidden costs or "Up Sell" when I picked up the car. On arrival at Manchester airport the staff who I dealt with were also first class, from the nice young lady on the desk to the Guys at the collection kiosk. Dropping the vehicle off in the early hours to catch my flight back to the USA was very easy. I wish to thank all of the staff at "Enterprise Rent a Car" for making my car rental experience a very pleasurable, hassle free and enjoyable time. In the past I have been subjected to some real RIP OFF Merchants in the Car rental business. You have restored my faith that there are honest reputable companies out there. Thank You. So, to be clear I have deducted one star for Enterprise itself. Why does the city centre store have such restricted weekend opening hrs? This airport store was actually quite good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The process of picking the car up was as smooth as possible despite some inconveniences enjoyed by all of the car rental places. The main one is that the car rental park as it's called is away from the terminals, so a shuttle bus is required from terminal 1 (which can be quite full). The checking in process is quite convoluted and can do with a good dose of streamlining. For example, Hertz managed to check in 3 customers while we waded through an unnecessarily lengthy check in process at Enterprise. However, once through that process the staff were helpful, efficient and friendly from pick up to drop off.

Rude staff. I went with my Uncle to rent a car and an error on the system meant that they were not able to give my Uncle a car even though my Uncle had done nothing wrong. This was not their fault of course since it was a system error which I understood, but they accused him of doing something bad to the previous car he rented, were rude and not understanding and did not help at all to resolve the situation. My Uncle called Enterprise a day after and the error was recognised and removed and he was given a free car for the weekend to make up for it. But this was only after being talked down upon and leaving feeling almost humiliated by the rude staff at Manchester Airport Enterprise. They did nothing to help, didn't give any advice on what to do and only accused him of doing something bad. Absolutely shocking service.

My experience was incredibly disappointing. After signing the contract, I requested insurance, but the employee rushed through the process and added basic coverage without giving me a chance to explain and understand what he is doing. To make matters worse, a minor accident caused slight damage to the car's door, and when I returned it, they promptly charged me £1,550. When I inquired about obtaining a repair cost report for insurance purposes, they informed me it would take up to 60 days to receive it. I found this delay unacceptable, especially when they had charged me immediately for their fees and expenses. This has been the most frustrating and unsatisfactory car rental experience I've ever had!! I returned the car on 14 Aug, until 18 Oct which means after 65 days and still I didn’t receive the repair cost.

We collected the car from the Newark branch in Nottinghamshire. We dealt with a wonderful lady called Prititiya. She was outstanding and a delight to deal with. We collected the vehicle without any problems and we’re away within 15 minutes. The vehicle was just what we asked for and was well kept and tidy inside. Perfect start! We returned the car to Manchester Airport car rental returns and we’re instantly met by a Enterprise staff member who went through the handover process with was smooth and effortless. The whole experience was a delight and a credit to all at Enterprise car rental. We will most definitely be using again in both Australia and overseas. And also a thank you to the manager at Manchester Melanie Chapman for such wonderful service. Many Thanks Adam & Tracey Cooper.

I was tricked and robbed - paying premium price for a low-end car. Branch manager, Polly Iddon, and members of staff, Leimar and Darcey did not care enough to response to my feedback, after insisting to be given a feedback. 1. Made payment and Received Confirmation for a 7-seater chosen to serve our traveling purpose. 2. At the time of collection, 2.1 The car of our choice cannot be provided, a deposit by Credit Card only is required - explaining more control over the deposit is needed from your side. I offered even to give 1000£ in cash if the control of the deposit really matters. 2.2 Can offer a full refund. 2.3 Or can offer a lower-range 5 seater or other 7 seater one with the same price as the higher range I paid for. Of course, still with a 1000£ deposit from my debit card.

Very poor service experienced. I am still waiting for a refund which was agreed to be paid back in October by the customer service manager. I was overcharged for things I hadn’t originally agreed to when I picked up the car. Whoever I dealt with on the day didn’t know what they were. the original online quote was 250, but I ended up paying another 350 on top, although I was told I would pay only 12 pound per day extra to reduce my excess (over 10 days = 120)My biggest regret was not asking to speak to a manager at the time. I had very little confidence in this guy, but when you’re at an airport after a 17 hour flight, you just want to get to the hotel and rest. I was assured by the service manager my bill would be recalculated and a refund paid but have not received a penny!

Excellent just like in the U.S.! we tried hard to get a rental through Europcar and after I listened to their seedy salesman I knew we were at the wrong stand. Save yourself the pain and walk directly past Europcar to Enterprise; they didn't try hard to upsell and got me what I needed in half the time it took to bicker with the idiot at Europcar. I feel sorry for the bloke, he's obviously paid to be sketchy and get unsuspecting people to buy cars they don't need, like the Jaguar he tried to sell me. We walked in with a quote from a booking agency and he immediately responded with a quote for a Jaguar that cost three times as much, and for two weeks that was several THOUSAND dollars more. Absurd. Enterprise gave me a nice economic, automatic diesel 5 seat car for 680.

If i could give a 0 star rating i would , i’ve put a reservation through three weeks ago I had the colleagues from this branch call me back named Naureen and take my details and confirm if I had a credit card one week before the rental date. And two days before the rental date I was told unfortunately you cannot book your car from here as you need a boarding pass i.e. you need to be flying in from another country to take a car from us here at the rental village, I spoke to Customer Services over the phone they said this is not true I spoke back to the branch manager at enterprise and he said this is the policy we have here , the point for writing this long review is that this branch is not trusted so if you have plans they are great at letting people down.

We were a walk-in customer after our original car rental provider didn’t have the car we had booked and couldn’t provide a suitable alternative. We were helped without having to wait and Enterprise arranged a suitable car straight away. The whole process was quick and efficient and we were on our way in less than 30 mins. Return of the car was also fast and efficient. Easy shuttle to and from rental location from the airport terminal. We did have an issue during the rental, which we raised with Enterprise after the rental ended. We were put in contact with the branch manager - via Enterprises customer service team. We received a call from the manager and all was sorted. We will be using Enterprise again in the future.

Poor, very poor customer service for a company that advocates itself as a champion for customer service. Booked a car, drove from Liverpool to Manchester Airport (That car size or transmission not available in Liverpool) got there and booking not honoured as they don't do one ways on 7 seater cars apparently. The lady manager, didn’t get her name acted on obnoxiously refusing to listen to any of us. Waste of time, money & journey to Manchester Airport. Google really needs to introduce 0 stars. Saying sorry and offering refund of money just got good enough. Time is MONEY and you wasted loads of ours. What does your customer service do for wasting our time & fuel? WOW, I say this because from beginning to return The staff at Manchester airport were Fantastic, From Alfred at the counter being an absolute gentleman and professional putting us at ease and ready for our Tour to the handover of the vehicle which was a brand new minibus all was wow, the offers were not pressured on us and we were in 20 mins on our way everything explained so well. On the return was no different the vehicle checked and my refund organised within 15 mins then off to the terminal with free bus tickets. If I was able to give 1 million stars I would. Absolutely satisfied. I had been totally let down...for the third time...booking with Green Motion. My flight got in at 23.00 instead of 18.30 due to Ryanair fiasco. No-one was in the office or there to wait for us. Enterprise at Rental Village was the only company to have a car free for me. Even Hertz had given their last car out to late arrivers. It wasn't the type of car I wanted but it had 4 wheels! As there was an annoying noise coming from the dashboard, I was given a 20% discount with no hesitation. The staff, especially Matt, were extremely professional and honest. Thank you. I'll be depending on you in the future.

If there were any cheaper tyres they would have fitted them on the car. They mixed „Davanti“ on the front axle with „Sailun“ on the rear. I mean what is so hard about fitting decent tyres? I paid 312€ for 3 Days for a Vauxhall Crossland with manual transmission. What I was expecting was normal branded tyres (Goodyear, Bridgestone…) and not the cheapest - Mix! - you could possible find on the internet. These tyres are so horribly loud and drive like garbage. Advise: Let them confirm the tyre brand and mileage of the car - before you rent there. Ps. They will soll it’s not possible. Advise: go to Sixt!

I've rented cars from so many companies in the past but the service was just okay, I've rented cars from this company at Manchester Airport more than once and the service has been exceptional, both the branch manager Suhaib, the assistant branch manager Ghulam, Becky and Jess are some of the most professional and polite people I've ever dealt with. Me and my friends rent a car via FTI Germany at Enterprise. Car was good and clean, Staff was friendly. Two Stars just because we got offered that they would fill it with petrol again for 1,20 a ltr. after giving it back. Afterwards we got charged 90£ for a half empty tank. And as we got no papers from enterprise manchester we can't complain about it. Absolutely rip off. So although the car was nice never again!! In Addition I wanna mention that the customer support is really helpful and friendly and we could sort the problem and got our money back. Notice:always check your papers!

I had an early morning flight and returned the car before enterprise opened. Apparently they found a scuff on the tire and charged me £250. I was shown a picture upon my return which was a ridiculously small scuff and certainly didn’t justify a replacement tire. The vehicle had 13000 miles on it so I’m not sure why am I paying for a full replacement tire? There has been no follow up, no nothing except a charge to my credit card. They just want your money and dgaf. I won’t be using ERAC in the UK again. There service is terrible compared with that in the states.

Terrible service, they try to upsell you on everything.... Had a slightly cracked windscreen so they took £1,000 off my credit card. Was told it would be refunded within a week, eventually took 7 weeks and I only got £350 back... They do not give a detailed breakdown of costs which I believe to be dishonest and then they slap a £50 admin fee - for what ? Still fighting with them, probably won’t get anywhere. I have been a loyal customer for years - definitely will never use them again and neither will my business. Tread carefully..... Highly untrustworthy....

Awful experience. Hired a car from Plymouth (who were incredibly helpful). Polly the ‘branch manager’ was happy to leave us stranded in Manchester and would not give us our prehired return vehicle due to payment on a debit card rather than credit card. All of her staff looked highly uncomfortable at her attitude. The only help from her was she caused such a scene the lovely gentlemen from Avis overheard and stepped in to help get us home. A shame because our experience in July was not like this. Will never use the Manchester airport team again.

Had excellent service at Enterprise, Manchester Airport, this week. Renting cars can be stressful but Ben, with his humour, put us all at ease as he seamlessly went through the process of what the hire entailed and what we should expect. The car, a Ford Puma, was presented in immaculate condition and served us well at a very competitive price. On return we were quickly received by Henry who was polite and efficient in ensuring the car was returned in an appropriate state. Thoroughly recommend. 5*

By far, this was the worst car rental experience I've had. They didn't provide a full explanation of the insurance. We paid for "FULL" insurance, but when we had an accident and needed it, they claimed we didn't choose the full option and withdrew 1,550 pounds without my consent! I wouldn't mind paying, but why didn't they inform me from the beginning? This is unacceptable! Honestly, after this scheme I am never renting from Enterprise again! There are better options. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!

We didn't find a very good car in the class we asked for, but after asking for an upgrade we were given a car as much as the car was an expensive one because it was a higher class. The shock to me which made it really bad was a Mercedes that did not have Apple car play or Android Auto which made the trip a bit difficult because I had to use postcodes depending on the Mercedes sat nav. Then fine tuning the trip too. The location I need to go to using my phone which was very unsafe

Absolutely disgusting company. AFTER the car was returned they charged my uncles card an extra £250 - for nothing. I tried to call them as he is in Saudi and they said they would get back to me. I waited 2 days and they didn’t, and then I called them and was hold for 40 mins... i am STILL ON HOLD RIGHT NOW. I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend them unless you’re cool with your money being stolen. Absolute joke and the branch manager should be appalled, do you even know what ESQI is?

I was charged an extra £500 after I returned the rental car for alleged damage but with no explanation. There had been no accident or incident and there was no visible damage. I followed the Enterprise complaint procedure but I have no response after 3 weeks, so now I am in the tedious and time consuming process of disputing the charges via my credit card company and also filing a claim under my credit card car rental insurance policy. I'm obviously very disappointed.

Not sure why this place got such a low rating. The guys at pickup/dropoff were not only fast but also really courteous. When I raised my eyebrows as the car they had booked for me had a few scratches the gentleman at the pick-up/parking immediately asked me whether I wanted a different car. No argument. No hassle. A two minute amendment on his tablet. Change done. Car was clean and a joy to drive. I will most definitely book there again. Alles super gelaufen. Tip-top!

I had already paid my booking in full 3 months before the hire date. The credit card I made the booking with had been cancelled by the bank when I picked up the car. The agent advised he would not be able to honour the booking and would have to rebook at 50% additional cost based on the rate available that day. This is shocking customer service as there was absolutely nothing that could be do to provide the credit card used to book, it was cancelled.

We booked the car through a 3rd party to be picked up at Manchester airport. We were met by Lamar who was friendly and professional. What a breath of fresh air not to be given hard sell tactics to get us to upgrade the car or purchase extra insurance. We got totally lost trying to find Enterprise for the drop off, we were met by Koto who was such an upbeat guy and again no hassle. I will be using Enterprise from now on.

They overcharged me and took money from my account with my authorisation. I was informed I would receive a refund but I'm having to follow-up with customer services. I was also told when collecting the car that none of the petrol stations in the area were working and it'd be better to buy the fuel in advance from them - but I was able to find quite a few petrol stations in the area without any problem....

Great staff, good prices and efficient procedures. Even if you get a car through a broker they will extend the lease through a simple phone call with the same rate, hustle free. Personally I booked a seven seater and got an upgrade without additional charges. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone that is planing to rent a car in the UK and collect their car from the Manchester airport.

I would regularly use Enterprise, particularly at Manchester Airport. Staff are always top class and will do everything they can to help. The selection of cars is good and always clean. Pick up is quick and drop off even quicker. The shuttle bus that collects at the terminals runs every 15 to 20 minutes, which is ideal. If I ever need a car when travelling to Manchester, I only use Enterprise.

Picked from Manchester Airport, dropped at Bristol Airport. Booked economy automatic, given compact automatic hybrid car with sat nav. Over the moon especially with the sat nav, it proved really useful because we had quite a long distance travelled across the country and the fuel economy was unbelievable. I only returned a car here, so I can't comment on renting directly from here! Demi at Enterprise was so lovely! She checked the car thoroughly, and when I explained how the petrol flap wouldn't open when we were at the pump (to refill the tank), she took that in her stride and said that she'd charge pump price and not Enterprise fuel price. Only took 5 minutes, and we were off!

They are professional. Fast and accurate service. The car comes with display so you can connect it to your phone but you need to bring your usb cable. The deposit is 200 pounds and the rent is roughly 100 per a day. They were the cheapest when I got there in Sunday. You NEED a physical credit card. The car I got is Toyota Yaris hybrid absolutely amazing.
