Petrol was less than $10 and I went to Yarra and back!). His friendly demeanor and willingness to assist made the entire rental process hassle-free and enjoyable. Had a fantastic experience renting at this location. The local staff went out of their way to be kind and helpful - since they had most of the customer information as part of the reservation - they only needed to validate the drivers license and credit card - both smooth and fast - - one piece of general advice: since the cars are brought to this location from the airport - make sure you specify your desired pickup time - if you show up early and expect to" jump" into "your" car -as perhaps is often possible at airport locations (they switch cars on you really) - this is not as easy in a remote location and yes while they try their best to get you the car as fast as possible - it is hard for them to switch gears and for example get you a car an hour earlier. So please understand this and be kind to the local agent doing is upmost to please you.

Customer service was good. Car pickup was efficient. However, the car itself was not so great. We rented an eight-seater Kia Carnival. The seats had scuff marks and weren't too clean. Braking felt a little loose and jerky. The car vibrated significantly when going at 80 - 100km/h on the expressway. On the second day of our rental prior to returning it there was a puddle of petrol beside the car after it had been parked overnight and a strong, unbearable petrol smell in the car itself. The fuel gauge had dipped down a little bit as well. The staff were nice about it and there was no charge for it. They did tell us the car was due for a servicing. It should have been serviced before rental though as we were lucky it held up till we returned it. Have rented from Enterprise before in other countries but this was a bit disappointing.

My partner returned a car at 11:30am today, after extending for 24 hours from 4pm yesterday. However he had to take it back early as they close at 12pm. The woman tried to charge him an extra $50 (!) as they said it was due back at 10am. After he protested she said they wouldn't charge the $50 (because of course how could they when it was being returned esrly?) then he got home and realised they have in fact changed him the extra $50. Ludicrous! She just lied to his face. This company had also made up additional changes earlier in the week when we extended the car hire period. Absolutely immoral jokers. We've hired cars all over the world and never been treated like this before with fake charges. Luckily Amex will refund it but why cause customers extra stress at an already stressful time? We will not be using Enterprose again.

Booked a car a week in advance via Enterprise's website. When we showed up to pick it up, we were told that no cars were available, but that a car should be coming in in an hour's time. The man at the desk also seemed to think we'd booked via a third party (apparently their website goes via their EU service). Given that we'd booked assuming we'd actually be able to pick up a car then, we didn't want to wait for the potential mystery box car. We've been offered a refund; will see if they can manage that. EDIT: Refund went through three days afterwards, which is reasonable. Didn't have to call anyone, so that was convenient at least.

Manish from Enterprise Car Rentals in Melbourne CBD was so accomodating from the outset and was kind enough to upgrade our rental free of charge when we were concerned it would not fit our family’s luggage. He also generously extended our rental an additional half day to support our flight departure. I highly recommend Enterprise Rentals if you are planning to hire a car in Melbourne. The Kia carnival was a great car to drive and the price was very competitive. The only disappointments with this rental was that when picking up the car I alerted the staff member to a semi-flat tyre and was told ‘you can just pump that up when you pull into a servo’. This is correct but it also meant that I needed to pump the tyre up daily for the next 5days. Unacceptable. Also a holding bond was applied to my credit card instantly when the car was collected and when the car was returned I was told that it will take up to 14 days to be removed from my credit card. Quick to take my money, but slow to return......

Rented from Collins Street branch in Melbourne City as that's where we were staying. Useful location as many rental car companies seem to only have 'airport only' pickup options. Also was able to make a booking online on my mobile which other companies websites seem to struggle with. However, Enterprise insist the contract is signed online, but their internet was down and the contract form didn't work on my iphone 8, so they need to fix that. In the end the team there were very friendly and pragmatic about that aspect, and were happy for me to sign online later when I got to a device that could do it.

I got an excellent service here, the staff Manish is very helpful and kind to handle our car booking! Due to the flight delay, we didn’t make it to pick up the car yesterday. We re-arranged our car pickup from airport to city today, and there were still many insurance (with the third party) and others to handle! Monish is super helpful and patient to help us contact the insurance company and handle our rental issues! Please do pay a visit to ENTERPRISE and we greatly appreciate Monish’s support and help for our first day in Melbourne!!!! We would rate 10 stars for him, if the scale allows!!!

From good to shocking. Got upgraded to nicer car, and the people in office were nice is the good. Had to pay a massive deposit on first time rental which I was not informed of until I had already paid for the rental service and was getting the car. Fine. I'm told it'll be in my account 2-3 days after I return the car. Fine. 2 weeks later, I have still not received my deposit back and it takes me calling Enterprise for them to realise. I'm then told it'll take a few more days to land. Seriously. Very poor post-service customer experience.

Had the pleasure of dealing with Luke and Brenton for my car hire the past week. Car was booked on Expedia and was as described. The guys were really helpful with regards to explaining any waivers and using the car. Enterprise seem to get a bad rap on Expedia but I had nothing but a great experience with Luke and Brenton. Offered advice on where I was travelling to (Mornington Peninsula and Great Ocean Road) and got the paperwork sorted asap. Will definitely use again next time I'm in town!

I had used many car rentals available in Melbourne. However, after encountering Manish from enterprise rental, we had multiple great experiences while renting adhoc or planned. Manish is always upfront in giving great advice whether it’s about the booking or insurance associated to help us in navigating through easy no brainer choices. I always prefer enterprise car rental over any other company now thanks to the staff support and great trips we had so far.

Great city centre location for renting. The Scottish guy that served us was friendly efficient, and explained clearly the different insurance/fuel options to us. We had an upgrade, but just be certain that if you take their discount fuel option, (10% off forecourt prices) i.e make sure you are going to do enough miles to bring the car back empty or half full, which are the 2 options offered...as well as the usual full to full option.

Arrived early and was taken care of by Kelsie, Who was extremely nice and helpful and didn't mind that I arrive 10 minutes before they opened. Nice new car no hassle picking it up and dropped it off with Salvatore, Who again was very nice and friendly. My only complaint is I booked it through Car Rental and paid in full but was charged $27.25 by Enterprise. I'm looking into that as I don't know whose fault it was.

Long time with Enterprise and they never fail to satisfy you with their service. Specific to the Melbourne City Enterprise location, the staff is very professional and nice. Initial service was spot on with ability to serve my needs at short notice (1 day). Car was clean and tidy. However it has been in excess of 4 weeks since I rented and I am yet to receive my bond back or any communication in response to my enquiries regarding this. Their competitor refunded bond within a couple of days. They also don't advertise the need for bond or value of bond prior to collection.

Fuel tank not full. On collecting car I was advised to return car with similar amount of fuel to what was in it on collection ( less than half a tank,) car was not clean inside or outside despite being wet as though they had washed it. However it was cheap and modern and economical to run. Everything worked and it ran like a dream . No problems with the car . Pick up and drop off were speedy

Hannah and Kirsty (I think, I dont remember the name sorry, but you know who you are!) are AMAZING! Honestly the friendliest people I have ever met and made the hiring process super cruisey and fun. Hannah was fantastic for letting us extend the car for an extra day too! If you two see this, thank you both for being SO nice and understanding, we'll definitely be back on our next holiday!!

I was well looked after when I arrived at Enterprise Downtown in Melbourne. Mister Ahmed was friendly and informative about my options. 4 out of 5 because my car was not ready for me although I was already late (booked for 9.30am, got there by 10am); and no one answered the phone the night before drop off when I needed help with the car itself, and wanted to extend the booking.

Booked 2 months in advance only to be given a dirty car, inside and out. Like filthy! Changed for another one at another location only to have all 4 tyres flat. Then they charged extra as I dropped of at 2nd location after they told me to drop it off there. Asked for refund, they agreed they would refund, however after a year and a few phone calls they still have not refund.

Booked a car a week in advance with enterprise specifically to get manual car. When we went there they simply said that they don't even have a manual car at all. And they cannot do anything about it. Customer service was really bad too. The woman at the counter was very unprofessional and rude. The automatic car was old, but alright. Nothing special to write about that.

Appalling service. Extremely unprofessional. I had booked a car for 7:30am and when I showed up on time, they informed me they didn't have the car. No alternative was offered and they didn't even properly apologise. They couldn't tell me when the car would be there, but as I had to pick people up at 8:00 I had to cancel and make quick other arrangements elsewhere.

DO NOT HIRE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. Would have rated 0 stars if possible. No customer service at all. Called twice and always got told that I'll receive a call back. When arrived at the car park there was a long queue which would have been a problem if the second of two staff members did not decide to go on a break at 10.30am. Waited for more than 1h eventually.

First of all lots of fake paid 5-star reviews to bump up their poor record. I was on the tram on my way to pick up the car and only then received a call saying that they were overbooked and there was no car available. We had several rental property inspections booked and we missed all of that because of these unprofessionals. Will avoid them going forward.

I actually only gave them 2days notice to hire a car,,, I hired it for 16days ,,I got a lovely clean modern Hyundai,,,their service was impeccable,,, it was a lovely drive to Adelaide via Great Ocean Rd, back via Murray River I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone ,, very pleasant Gentleman to deal with will be back again hopefully

Had a reservation for car hire at 11am on a Tuesday - not exactly peak hours. We were on time and it took OVER TWO HOURS to get out. They were not able to confirm the online booking price and gave contradictory and misleading information to us and everyone else we overheard while waiting in line.

Would definitely rent from them again. Car was exactly as booked, available in time and in good condition. Staff explained the key terms well, offered insurance but did not push it in any annoying way like other places do, and there were no problems with the return at the airport either.

Extremly expensive and they charge money for things they told me on the phone they will not charge because I would have an ensurance for that. They charge also for unsuccessful jobs because of their mistakes. Nothing against the gentleman that is working on site. He does his very best.

I had to put a deposit of $200 and they told me it will be back into your account in 2-5 days but after more than 20 days nothing has returned and when I call the company no one picks up I'm totally upset about their customer communication and services never recommend them to anyone.

Had a very good experience with Enterprise..Very professional..I got a free upgrade..over and above that when we returned the car, there was a scratch on it..but Mr Salvatore was happy to ignore it and not charge me excess for damage. Even their rates were very good..Really worth it

I am Avis Preferred so using Enterprise in the Melbourne CBD was unusual for me but I can report that the service from Manish was outstanding. He was helpful, knowledgable and very polite. We came away from this experience saying that we would use them again.

I would do less than 1 star if I could. So many issues I don't even know where to start. I spoke to Riley who was condescending and rude. I was charged random charges for no reason and no one could tell me why. I wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy. STAY AWAY

Terrible! Do not even attempt to hire a car from here. These guys didn’t even have our car ready at 7:30, and tried to charge us a similar price for a small car. Did not give a toss about the time they wasted with us and do anything to help. Shocking.

So bad! Waited 45 minutes as no paperwork had been prepared in advance for customers. When paperwork finally completed, staff dashed out to finish cleaning interior and exterior of car - another 10 to 15 minutes. Very poor.

Bad cars & abusive staff. They also don’t pick up the phone or reply to email ever. Our car broke down on the first day of our trip and they did nothing about it and charged us 1000$ for towing. A real nightmare.

Unfortunately, I'm experiencing issues weeks after my booking. They kept my credit card on file and charged me for another customer's fees and are yet to return my money. I wouldn't risk booking with them again.
