Untrustworthy business! Brief summary: - We paid for a Standard SUV but left with a regular sedan with no discount, instead we've been given some stories about "how this Altima is actually an upgrade from an SUV" with no proof of this statement. - We've been quoted a price of $100 for the airport drop-off again with no proof. - This was the only car rental that asked for my insurance policy number, usually just a name of the company is enough. - We have never been charged extra if there were AWD vehicles of the same class in the lot and there were at least 5 AWD SUVs in their lot and we were the last customers that day, but they all were "booked out". BTW this was a week before the President's Day and they could easily sell those AWD vehicles for extra cash toward the weekend. I booked a Standard SUV for a week with this store because of their high rating. When I came to the store, they already prepared a 2WD Chevy Equinox for me which is a Compact/Small SUV not a Standard one. I asked if they had an AWD vehicle because we're traveling 130 miles north with a baby and it will snow for the rest of the week. They said that all of their AWD/4x4 options were booked out and offered me an Audi Q5 for double the price or a Nissan Altima AWD (a standard sedan). Unfortunately, a Q5 for almost $800 was a bit too much for me, as opposed to my reservation of $330. So I had to go with Altima. When I asked about a discount since it's a regular sedan and not an SUV, the staff began telling me different stories that "this Altima is technically an upgrade from a 2WD SUV (really?) and it should be priced the same if not more than an SUV", in fact there's no proof of this statement on any website (costcotravel or enterprise). Our friends who booked with Avis have been offered a free airport drop-off option, and our Uber driver who used to work for this Enterprise store confirmed and encouraged us to request a free airport drop-off. When we asked about this option, the staff member said it's available for $100. According to him, this was something that just started earlier that day. Another "newly introduced (literally earlier that same day)" regulation was to provide full details of your car insurance if you're not buying one from them. These and some other stories that sounded purely made-up make me wonder how this store maintains such a high rating.
I ALWAYS have a great experience renting from this location. Always so friendly, willing to help, go above & beyond. Not this time! From the moment I walked in to when I left with my rental, I was not happy. The reps in the building didn’t greet me, just told me to wait. The man who “helped” me, didn’t help me. The car he gave me was too small. I voiced that I needed something with bigger trunk space, He didn’t seem to care about my concern, he brushed it off. When it came time to pay, this is where I felt so small! I will say that I did have problems with payment, BUT like I said in the beginning, they always helped me before! Idk if this person was new but he wasn’t even trying to help me at all. He gave me no options, he didn’t want to check with his manager, nothing. I told him Iv been able to pay the way that I did before & he I tell you, I asked countless times for him to help me figure out what I should do, he just stood there. Again, I had payment, there wasn’t a problem with paying, but the way I needed to pay, he said he couldn’t do it that way. He then said we should shorten my rental time by a couple days and then I can call to extend. You know how annoying it is to do that?! Especially when we’re going for a funeral. I just couldn’t figure out why he wouldn’t go ask someone or just help me! When payment went through, he handed me the key & walked away. That left me feeling really sad & just not wanting to rent from there anymore! I did apologize to him for how annoying my part was & it was multiple times that I apologized to him because I felt bad, I was already embarrassed & i wanted him to know I’m sorry. Anyways, I hope no one else had to feel this.
Rented a car here beginning of June (2020) with drop off location in another city and staff were friendly. However, they changed my drop off location without notifying me, so when I went to drop off the car and my original location was closed I was not going to drive out of my way to the airport to drop off the car. I called Enterprise customer service and the woman was friendly and understood the issue. She said I could drop off at the airport the next day, when I was going to be there, but might get charged for the extra time I had the car. She added a note in the system explaining my dilemma. When I dropped off the car, I was told I had to call this Salt Lake City Enterprise location to dispute the extra charges. The man I spoke with at this Enterprise location was impatient, said I should of been charged another $100 that they mistakenly did not charge me for, and then said "Fine, I'll credit you back the $60 for the extra day you had the car", then HE HUNG UP ON ME. I never received a confirmation of the credit and looking at the visa bill I just got, he did not credit me back the money. I scheduled the drop off location and time because it was near my hotel and I DID NOT NEED THE CAR THE ADDITIONAL DAY. It's not my fault they changed the return location without notifying me or that the original return location was closed when I got there. And the man I spoke to was impatient and rude. My experience with Enterprise was disorganized with poor customer service. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN. I will be renting from alternative companies in the future, as I am a frequent traveler and have never had issues the many other car rental agencies out there.
I chose the downtown Enterprise based on the price, the online reviews I read, and the location. For our two-week rental that took us to four national parks and four national monuments (over 3,200 miles total), the price was about half of what I saw from the airport rental sites (even with the 11% surcharge for renting away from the airport within 24 hours of flying into SLC). I rent through Costco Travel. The location was a short walk from the hotel we stayed at on the first and last nights of our trip (Hilton Garden Inn downtown, which offers a free shuttle to and from the airport), though there were several other nearby hotels that we could have used the light rail (green line) to reach instead. The actual pickup process was very smooth. We had to wait about 10 minutes on a Saturday morning because of other customers, but there was no pressure to upsell us on insurance that we didn't want or need. Our flight out was two weeks later early on a Sunday morning, but we were able to drop off the car easily and conveniently in their lot Saturday evening after getting back to Salt Lake. They seem to be one of the few downtown rental sites with Sunday hours. Our car (Nissan Maxima) performed very well. I only wish that rental companies would give you a one- or two-page sheet listing the features of the car and how to use them. I understand why they don't leave the owner's manual in the glove box, but it would make it easier (and probably safer) if you knew how to use things like the radio and the shifter for adjusting your speed in mountain country so you weren't distracted by trying to figure them out while driving. :)
Tried giving me a lower class of vehicle than I paid for and wasn’t even going to mention it or reduce the price until I brought it up. But that was just the beginning. Then when I tried to extend for one day I was quoted for the day and then charged for two without telling me. Wasn’t able to bring it back the day I extended to because they were closed that day, again, I was never notified of this. Had to call the corporate number so they could notify the location through a message. Apparently they fixed it but I was never notified of that so never knew to bring it back that day. When I brought it back they tried charging me for 3 days. When I tried explain my that to the representative she had no recollection of any of it and said that the manager, who was a guy said he took my reservation and that I was lying basically, even though it was a female I spoke to when I did that. After going back and forth for a bit she finally comes clean and says “actually it was me that took your reservation and I told you we were charging it for two days”. I told her That was absolutely not true as I had her on speaker and others can verify that was the amount. I finally had to threaten to call the police before she reversed the added charges and blacklist me for in her words “challenging me”. Basically she knew from the start she made a mistake and instead of simply fixing it, decided to lie and try and make that the customers responsibility and added expense. There are 4 other enterprise locations within a few miles of here. I would recommend one of them as I’m hoping this isn’t how all enterprises operate.
This location has now claimed twice that we have caused damage to a vehicle we have rented from them. The first time we rented a van and they claimed we tore off the front bumper which was ridiculous. We were told prior to renting it that the bumper was a bit loose but wouldn't affect our trip at all. Then about 2 weeks ago we let the first time go because it was couple years later and we assumed it was a freak thing. So we went ahead and rented a van to go to Disneyland. The van sat the entire week and we literally only drove it there and back. All previous dents were pointed out before we were handed the keys including a big dent in the driver side door. A dent the rep pointed out and took a picture of. When we returned the van it was pointed out again. I told the new rep that it was there prior to us renting it and was documented. He found the documentation on the ipad he had while he did a walk through. Now we got an email days later claiming that the previous damage was our fault and that we needed to make a claim to our insurance or pay out of pocket... AND in this email they never said what damage they were actually pointing out. We had to call to find out. This is some bull honky if I ever saw it. We will never use them again. They just want our money. I wonder how many people have rented this van and how many claims Enterprise has made for this same damage. So ridiculous.
Great customer service. Friendly staff. Reliable car. Highly recommended. Got the car that I had reserved at the price that I was quoted online for a long weekend. At the time of pick-up I had opted for the damage waiver. I reserved a full size sedan online atleast one week in advance at the Enterprise downtown location (404 300 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84101). This was also the first time I rented a vehicle from this location. When I went there to pick up the car at 8:00 am on a Saturday morning, the store opened right on time and I was helped immediately. The person who helped me was friendly and honest to go over the exterior current condition of vehicle to identify any prior scratches/damages on the vehicle that already known. I returned the car after hours at around 10:00 pm and dropped off the keys in their drop-box. It was that easy! And rightfully so, three days later I saw the quoted price from the rental aggrement appear on my credit card statement. I did not find any surprise charges after returning the vehicle, which was great. The location is great as there are two gas stations conveniently located near it to refill the gas-tank before returning the vehicle. Plus, it is right next to the exit of I-15 and I-80 and a quick drive to the airport. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend this location to anyone who needs to rent a vehicle near Salt Lake City, UT.
Surprisingly disappointed with my rental experience. I routinely rent from Enterprise as they typically have exemption customer service, nice car options and make for a seamless process. This experience was a let down on a few fronts. The same customer service agent rented me the car as well as checked the car back in. When I asked her for car options at the time of rental I was told they had been busy so they didn’t have many options and she wasn’t sure what it would cost to upgrade. No offer to check or offering a different make and model even in the same category despite several other vehicles at the rental location. She said the script about providing customer service but didn’t carry through with the actions. The car I rented had over 36k miles on it. Not accustomed to Enterprise vehicles being this well used. In rental car years, this many miles leads to strange smells, stains throughout the car and apparently service reminders popping up on the screen. The car also had 4 mismatched tires on the vehicle which affected handling poorly. When informed of my frustrations with the car upon return, the customer agent told me sometimes the service light isn’t turned off but she was sure it was fine, didn’t comment on the smells and nothing about the miles. As I said, not a terrible experience just a letdown from my typical experience. Please don’t let your customer service slide!
I was involved in car accident Saturday evening. I went to pick up a rental there on Sunday Morning as they were the only location open. I needed a car Monday morning for work at 6AM. They said that they did not deal with insurance claims at that location at that my reservation was at another location (location that was closed until Mon). I explained that my insurance company picked the closest location to the accident but it was closed for the weekend and I needed a car sooner. I even called them and they said that my reservation number would work at any location. The employee (not wearing a name tag) said, "Yes, every location but this one." I expressed that I needed a car so that I could get to work Monday morning. They said that the west valley location was open but not until 2 pm and sent me on my way. I had a friend drive me 45 mins to that location first thing in the morning. Now I was supposed to wait around until 2pm to drive another 30 mins? They didn't even offer me a ride. Not cool! Once my car was fixed from the accident. I had to pick it up and this location is the closest to the shop I took it to. I was hesitant to drop it off there as they were SOO unhelpful before. This time however was much better! Quick and painless check in and gave me a quick ride to shop. A complete 180 from before. I guess it just depends on the employees and the day.
This has been the rudest and worst attention I have ever had. I made a reservation in advance for 1 day. I came in to pick up the car and a lady that called herself the manager came out. She requested my drivers license and an extra ID. As I am from another country she said I needed a third form of ID so I gave her another one. Then she said that as I was an international visitor there was a new policy that said I need it to rent the car for the total of days of my stay in USA (non sense). I told her I didnt needed the car so many days, she said it was just a new policy she couldt do anything about it. I told her I was never notified while I reserved the car or was never contacted after that to explain that new policy and she didnt care. FInally I agree to rent the car for the total of days of my stay and then she said it was not possible, because it had to be previosuly reserved. I tried to talk to some one else, she just turned around and walked in leaving me there outside with no further explanation. we went around the corner to BUDGET (IN FRONT OF DENNYS) and got the best experience ever!! I will be visiting SLC often and I will make sure to explain to everyone not to place a foot with you, there are more and better options.
I had a really bad experience. I did my reservation online and on a day when I arrived to pick my car up I was said that as long as I’m under 25, there is no way I can get SUV, no word about that when I was doing my reservation. Why would I pay $25 young driver fee per day and still not being able to get a car I want . Ok , fine . Few minutes later a representative went out and asked me if I want to drive a truck ? Seriously? I can’t get SUV but I can have a truck . Sounded insane to me . I refused , and after some time they said they found a car for me , but we will have to go there for pick up . Car was far from SUV, but ok , whatever . I spent a lot of time and ran everywhere behind , and my vacation plan for that day was completely ruined . Not the end yet . Next day I bought windshield cleaner , cause I thought they gave me a car with no fluid , but as it turned out a reservoir from fluid was cracked and all liquid went out of the reservoir. Can you imagine how is it to drive in Yellowstone and not being able to use windshield cleaner to unfreeze your windshield? Apple car play screen was not working, which was annoying too , cause I had to deal with it all the time
Well after years of being with this company it seems they are too big now for their own good. I have been trying to rent a car and have been running into problems all day. This location manager promised to help me and I never heard back? Then I called corporate in Missouri and the person there tried to quote me $500 more for a lesser car at an alternative airport location? What a joke they also told me the regional manager would call me and that never happened? I started trying to get a car at 9:00 am and it is now 5:00 pm. Thanks for ruining my vacation due to total lack of professionalism miss dirrection and who knows why else but i am still here waiting for a call from anyone so i can rent a car for a month. I would go into more detail but this is my second time writing this review because the first one was accidentally deleted. Any ways I have never felt this way and expected way more from this what use to be a good company which now has become a joke! I have been here so long I don't know where else to turn because I think they have cornered the market!!!
Best car rental experience I've ever had! Annie and her team were fantastic to work with from start to finish. We rented two different vehicles - a smaller vehicle for 10 days, then we turned that in for a larger vehicle for a family road trip for another 10 days. When we arrived to make the switch, the minivan we had rented had been returned damaged, but Annie got us into a similar vehicle that also sat 7 passengers. We gave up some much needed storage/luggage space, so she offered us a discount on the replacement vehicle. Ultimately, we were very happy. The entire team was incredibly cheerful. When I returned our second car, Annie enthusiastically asked how our vacation had been and if there was anything more her team could have done. We visit family in SLC every year. This is not the most convenient Enterprise facility to where we stay, but it will be our go-to store as long as Annie is managing things here. Thank you for helping make our family vacation a memorable one!
I had a very positive experience with this location. If you're flying into SLC Airport and are willing to find transportation to their location near downtown SLC, you will not be disappointed. Their pricing is better than the airport and they don't penalize you for dropping off at a different location, say Utah County. The airport charges way too much for any drop-off but their own. Additionally, due to bad weather, I had to extend my stay for 2 days. Thanks to Enterprise, I paid LESS in those 2 days than the daily rate of my additional booking. I've never seen that before this experience. Lastly, I recommend working with Melissa, the Assistant Manager at this location because of her shining personality and her exemplary understanding of serving the customer. She helped correct an error on my final billing and went above and beyond in making sure I would rent with Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 404 S. 300 W again ! I most certainly will do that. Thank you, Melissa !
If I could give 6 stars I would! I can't say enough good things about Dallas and Quinton at this location. I was running into flight delays that had me concerned if I could get my vehicle before the location closed. They were friendly and helpful each time I checked in with my flight status. They offered to stay over some if necessary to get me on the road. I was able to make it in just before closing and the service was great when I picked up the car. Dallas was a great representative and gave great advice and I didn't feel rushed. I booked a "location choice" vehicle and was put in a Nissan 4-door truck that fit our needs perfectly. Vehicle turn in was also prompt and Dallas once again gave the same level of great service. Great location and wouldn't hesitate to rent from this location again because of the convenience and high level of service from these employees!
BEWARE RENTING FROM THIS LOCATION!! The manager, Annie, seems nice but will not help if they put you in a bind. I am very frustrated to find out during my layover on the way the SLC with my family (husband and 3 kids) that the location was closing before our flight landed so we couldn’t pick up the car and Annie offered no solution for us. I booked our reservation several months prior (bc large vehicle one way rentals are limited) I spoke with Annie twice weeks prior to our trip to confirm they had a car big enough AND confirmed our pick up the day prior to arrival. I made a reservation for 4:00 pick up. Somehow the manager says she had our arrival for 11:00am and pretty much had a “sorry about your luck” attitude and told me to try to get what I can at the airport… which was a tiny car…. No way we can fit our family AND our luggage in that.
We reserved a full size car online 3 weeks in advance. I spoke to a rep at this location to explain we would need a hotel pickup. I was assured this would not be a problem but to call day before which we did. Again, assured we could get pickup next morning when requested but asked us to call again. Called the morning car needed....no one available for pickup. When we eventually got to rental agency, they assumed we were going to accept the full size, full extended cab, pickup truck in which we were picked up. There was no full size car even though it had been reserved for weeks. In order to continue our travel on schedule, we were told we had no choice but to accept the only car, vs truck, they had which was a compact. My husband is 6'3" and 250 lbs. This was our vehicle for the next 2 1/2 weeks, 3000 mile trip. Not real comfortable.
Went to the airport to pick up my reservation. I try to pay with a debit card and they say they can’t take it without a return itinerary. I see if I can use my friend’s card and pay them back, I can’t because they need to swipe it. I now have to take another Uber back into town to go to their other location which takes debit cards. They raise the price by $100 (1.5x the original price), so now on the drop off I have have to return the car during my work day, miss lunch, and pay out of pocket for all this ubering around. Enterprise can and should do better by their customers. The customer service was very unhelpful and took a good 15 minute to just write down their other location’s address. I was interrupted by another customer and the service rep completely switched over to assisting them. Explore other options before choosing them.
I recently rented a car going one way from Salt Lake City, UT to Phoenix, AZ. I paid $34.99 a day, but then they added a $250 fee for taking it one way. The car is registered in CA, so if anything I did a favor for bringing to closer to it’s home state. I think this fee is way too high, and I was unaware of it when I made my reservation. But was told about it when I arrived, I don’t agree with that but at that time there was no other options. I reserved it a week before pickup and on day of was informed of the fee. Either way I paid it and I reserved a compact car but was given a truck. I needed the car for the trunk space to move from one state to the other. I’ve rented from them before with no issues, this experience made us not want to return in the future.
The rental process was quick and painless. I was assisted right as I came through the door. I had reserved a Ford Fusion online. I had answered a couple questions and was checked in within a couple minutes. I was asked if I might be interested in a vehicle a bit bigger, it wasn’t necessary. I then was greeted by another Enterprise employee who brought me out to the cars. The Fusion had been rented out before I got to their office. They had a 2019 Cadillac XTS waiting for me at no extra charge. Quick walk around and I was on my way. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 stars is because the rental rate compared to other companies was higher. I had a great experience with Enterprise.
This was a terrific place to rent from. The staff were wonderful. Check out was quick and easy. They bumped me up to a larger vehicle, which turned out to be great for our trip. Vehicle had very low mileage, was in perfect condition and very clean. I loved the extra touches - they called a few days in advance to confirm the booking and honored my request for a vehicle with a back up camera. I returned the vehicle after hours and they called to let me know they had the car, all was fine, no extra charges and the amount they were billing. Also, the price was excellent - less than 1/2 the cost of renting at the airport - and only a $14 Uber ride away.
The Enterprise location in Salt Lake City, UT 84101 was a completely different experience than San Bernardino (which did not properly clean the truck). I tried not to be overly negative when turning in the vehicle but I was real unhappy with the San Bernardino, CA 92401 location. The Salt Lake City, UT location was a stark contrast. Clean, well run, and they listened to my complaints. I am still a Enterprise customer (just not San Bernardino, CA location). If I did not need to be in Salt Lake City by Monday, I would have not accepted the vehicle in it's poor state of repair (dirty, 3/4 tank of gas, and without spare tire or jack)?
I have used Enterprise Rental for many years. We recently rented a vehicle in Salt Lake City and were surprised that we had to find our own transportation to the off airport site where our rental car was waiting. No Shuttle from the airport!! We Ubered to the site in town, and it wasn't a huge deal, but it was a big deal to expect to be taken to your car and then find out once landing at the airport and asking at the Enterprise rental desk in the airport that we would have to provide our own transportation to pick up the car. Not exactly putting your customer first. I will probably use Enterprise again, but not in Salt Lake City.
We booked, confirmed, and reconfirmed a mid size truck rental at the Downtown Salt Lake City branch. We reconfirmed the day before the rental, but when we arrived, the only truck available was a full sized Dodge Ram. It seemed that we had little choice but to accept the "upgrade." The truck was new, clean, ran well, and even got decent gas mileage, but my wife (who is short and with a hip replacement) had such difficulty getting in and out of the trick that I had to purchase a plastic cooler for her to use every time she got in or out of the vehicle. The check out and check in processes were efficient and professional.
Rented from this location after flying into SLC. Renting from this location was MUCH cheaper than renting from the airport, but was only about 10 minutes from the airport (very quick/easy to get to). The pick up and drop off process was very quick and staff was efficient and well organized. We did sustain a small windshield chip/crack during our trip which required a windshield replacement upon rental return, and the staff was helpful and handled the situation and our insurance claim well. Our vehicle was also very nice, clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend.
My experience with the downtown Enterprise couldn't have gone any better. I rented during the retail show - although fortunately I was there to ski. They put me into a perfect car - a Jeep Cherokee. the car was new - clean and perfect for all the gear. I believe I dealt with Michael and Tyler. Everyone there is exceptional, efficient and very personable. They even picked me up ! How about that? That guy was cool too. I'm renting tomorrow again from these guys en-route to Snowbird. I expect it will be great again. Props to management and to the team there. See you soon.
I must begin by stating I'm gratefully shocked with the experience I had today. Although I'm an overall Enterprise Rent a Car member (only 1st tier) the staff was amazing on their performance. Not only were they true to the consideration of the whole Covid19 situation- they really were prepared while extremely diligent! I am totally amused that I received a phone call reminder from Jeff 3 hours before to confirm my appointment for pick up but also reminded me of what I need to bring beforehand. I'm flattered and grateful for their wonderful job today. Thank you!
I couldn't be more pleased with my experience with Enterprise downtown salt lake. The rental process was a breeze. The staff was incredibly friendly throughout all stages. There were no high-pressure, continuous pitch for unwanted extras like some facilities (insurance, gas, etc). Each was offered, but each decline was accepted immediately without haggling. Upon return, Quentin was a superb employee and went above and beyond to ensure an expedient process. I will certainly be renting here again given the chance and highly recommend this facility!
Disclaimer, the Enterprise team at the Salt Lake airport is phenomenal, but the service I received at the downtown location was equally impressive and at half the price. It’s a quick Uber or Trax ride between locations, really not a major inconvenience, and in my case saved nearly $300 on the price of my one week rental (I only use Enterprise, just have a good history with them at any location). Next time you’re looking in Salt Lake and the airport seems a little pricey, expand your search to include downtown and you may be pleasantly surprised.
Friendly staff and quick service. They could improve on responding to vehicle maintenance alerts. The last car I rented had a low tire pressure warning. The employee said not to worry about the warning it happens on all of their vehicles. I stopped to check the air pressure and two front tires were significantly overfilled and one of the rear tires had 15 lbs. of pressure and had a slow leak that I had to get fixed. Roadside service was very accommodating and the tire service I received from Plains Tire Co. in Green River Wyoming was fantastic.
We were helped by Bri, who was working short handed. About the time we arrived she had a couple of pressing things come up, so there was a slight delay in getting to us. But she was very pleasant to work with! Enterprise upgraded us to a much larger SUV even though our reserved car would have been ready in 5-10 minutes. Thank you, Bri! You helped make our 40th anniversary trip even better. And congratulations on your recent “big event.” Remember that things can get better and better over time if you put Him at the center of it. Blessings!
I had a reservation On Monday when I arrived I was informed that I needed to bring proof of address. I only had my bank statement and my Chriopractor bills. I was informed It needed to be a utility bill this was at about 30 minutes to close and instead of trying to work with me. I have always rented from enterprise on south town mall Never again will i come here. Thank God Budget car rental was down the street and was almost $100 cheaper next time you should all go with Michelle she is awesome helped me get on my way with no problem.
I had read a couple of negative reviews about this location so was a little nervous to book with them. However, they could not have been greater! They called to confirm our reservation. They picked us up at our hotel in the vehicle we were renting so we packed it up, went to the office, filled out the paperwork and were on our way. They followed up with us to make sure everything was okay during the rental. The vehicle was AWD which was great and the drop off after hours easy. I would definitely rent from this location again!
Usually use Enterprise via my Costco account and get competitive rates and exceptional service. Good vehicle selection. In SLC, I had the option of 4 different vehicles. The customer service rep wasn't completely sure about all the features - namely smart phone integration - but I wouldn't expect that detailed knowledge about every vehicle in their fleet. Quick check-in despite 4 customers in front of me. Even easier check out. Usually not the cheapest option, but consistently better experience than with other companies.
I've rented from the Enterprise location in downtown Salt Lake City over the past few years and have always received superlative customer service. The vehicle is always ready; there's never been a question regarding the rate information; have received a complimentary upgrade on a few occasions; staff is always friendly and communicates policy clearly; and, in the age of covid19 the staff has worked extra hard to create a safe rental environment. I would recommend Enterprise downtown Salt Lake City with confidence.
Morgan and the other manager that helped me out were really helpful and nice. I showed up in pouring rain and they took care of pulling the car up under an overhang and completed the transaction inside of the safety of the car. The service was so good that I canceled my SUV rental for the weekend from another company and decided to rent from Enterprise again. They made it quick and easy to get a car and made the experience delightful, which is completely different than what I expected from a car rental place.
My family and I rent here quite often, most likely won’t again. Had a flat and thought I’d stop and ask for some air since I was around the corner from our destination. Detail specialist was a cool dude and helped us get some air. Bro deserves a raise for being a great employee, however the branch manager came out the blue and said she wasn’t “comfortable” with us being there using “their tools” literally just an air compressor?? For no more than 20-30 seconds?? It’s air for Christ sakes. Unbelievable!
I rent cars frequently and Enterprise stands out among the competition. Their prices are normally competitive but where they really stand out is in service. They are professional, well-staffed, and treat customers well. My recent experience in Salt Lake City displayed all this. They not only picked me up but offered to take me to my hotel after the car was turned in. Because I had to wait longer than expected on my return check-in the agent reflected that inconvenience on my bill. Thanks, Enterprise.
Had an excellent rental experience! This was my first major trip from home and first time renting a car. Jared and the rest of the staff made everything smooth and painless from start to finish, from calling the night before to confirm my reservation, being very accommodating when I called from the airport stating I would be about 10 minutes late due to a holdup on my taxi, to the return process when I left SLC a week later. I will definitely use this location again when I return in the near future.
I called this branch with a huge ask on incredibly short notice, and Annie (the manager) was so understanding and helpful. On the day I went to pick up my vehicles, Annie was manning the branch solo (having just sent an employee on a mission to help someone else), talking to four people on the phone, managing a lobby full of customers, AND helping me at the desk - all with a patient tone and a smile on her face. I was SO impressed with the service and looking forward to booking here again!
I had a reservation and waited 30 minutes at the downtown Salt Lake City office for a car to be ready after I walked in the door. Then the car they sent me out with had a "check engine light" come on 100 miles later. Thankfully, another branch gave me another vehicle. Ultimately, Enterprise gave me a free tank of gas and 1/2 of my bill to make it right. Thank you for those considerations, but you shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes to get a clean, usable car to drive off the lot.
Overall the service was good. The representative was professional. But following things could have been better - 1. Checking the tire pressures. The rear tires had lower than required air pressure. 2. Giving two set of keys in a completely secured loop makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. Either just give one set or at least make the loop in such a way that the customer can separate the two sets. The current process is set-up for disaster. For these two reasons, I'm taking away 1 star.
I've been renting from this Enterprise off and on for about 10 years. I've been to other rental places and have been disappointed with tacked on fees and paying more than I thought I would. That never happens with Enterprise! You know before going in just exactly what your final price will be. The employees at the downtown Enterprise are always great. Very friendly and helpful. More than once I have been given an unexpected upgrade. They are AWESOME! Don't go anywhere else!
I had a car rented for our family vacation. I showed up right at the moment they were closing. The guy was locking the door as I walked up. I said I had a reservation and without that car I had no way to get home. He didn't really care. His day was over, he was going home. So now, here I am stranded, with no car, no way to get back home, and I am looking for another nearby car rental to get me home so we can pack and go on vacation. I will never rent from Enterprise again.
When I arrived at the rental car office, I was surprised to learn that I had accidentally made the reservation at a different office (not too far away but more inconvenient). I was appreciative that the office was helpful and transferred the reservation to where I intended to be. Also, when I returned the car, an employee was good enough to drop me off at my family's home. Thank you for your consideration. Oh and of course the car was fine too. That is good service.
Rented a truck from a different location for a week. When we arrived the truck was not a full 4 door and they immediately fixed the situation. They sent me over to this location where I was helped by Riley. The check in and out process was fast and the service was very friendly I would definitely book again. Only comment for improvement would be to have the vehicles on full when people pick them up. Both trucks had less than 60 miles left on the tank.
Reserved a compact car at this for a week. The staffs were truly amazing. They didn't have the car I wanted but instead offered me amazing choices of cool cars. Couple upgraded ones with minimal extra cost or an upgraded midrange at no extra cost. Accommodating and friendly. They will approach you first and greets you. Thank you for your awesome service. I enjoyed my upgraded car! Highly recommended rental car place when you get in Salt Lake City!
This Enterprise location really came through huge for me! I needed a car on super short notice and while everything showed they were sold out, Deshia was very generous and helpful and got me going! I only needed the car for a night and we were able to work out a deal fair and reasonable, all the while receiving fantastic service! I'd highly recommend this location especially, since other Enterprise locations were much less willing to help out.
Never experienced better customer service than I did at this location. I had the pleasure of renting the car through one of the agent named "Diamond", and he was excellent to say the least. Excellent customer service, and absolutely no room for complaint. If you looking for rental at Salt Lake, I highly recommend this particular location. The entire staff seems very professional, and more importantly they care for their customers.
Love the neighborhood locations. I use them whenever possible. This store in downtown Salt Lake city was completely up to my expectations. They came to our hotel to pick us up even though it was only a couple of blocks. staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Car was clean and ready to roll. Checking out was just as fast and easy and they drove us back to our hotel since it was raining. Thanks for the great deal and great service!
I booked a vehicle online about 1 week in advance. Once I arrived at the agency near the end of the day on a Friday, I left with a vehicle within 10 minutes. Upon return, total time from entering to leaving lot was around 5 minutes. Both associates I worked with we friendly and knowledgeable. I've had only good experiences at Enterprise at any location I've been to around the country. This location met my high expectations!
If you are returning a car here, go over it with a magnifying glass first. Otherwise your rental agreement allows these con artists to take full advantage of your credit card authorization to charge extra without your consent. We were charged $500 over original amount for “undercarriage damage.” Very convenient, since they know people realistically don’t examine the bottom of the car. Enterprise has lost a loyal customer.
Car was clean and in excellent shape. Only complaint was that it was given to me with an empty fuel tank. The car performed well. On the return trip to Salt Lake City, I took a rock to the windshield. A large crack formed and grew as I continued to drive. I assumed that my insurance would have to pay for that but I was informed that this was no the case - Enterprise had it covered. Great!! Overall a very good experience.
Enterprise is always great. My van rental was ready and clean. The only complaint was having to stand outside in the heat while waiting for the rep to get us checked in. It was almost 100 and we had to wait for awhile. We didn’t add an additional driver because it took so long and we were all to hot . The next morning I went to the location in Orem and added the driver and it took 2 mins and we were able to go inside.
The staff at Enterprise, Salt Lake City, were so very nice and professional. They took excellent care of all my needs and did it with big smile! This was true not only when I picked my car up, but two weeks later when I returned it I was greeted in the same manner. I have rented many cars in the past and have NEVER had such a pleasant experience as I did at Enterprise, Salt Lake City. Thank you, I'll be back!!
Great experience. Vehicle was in excellent condition and had no issues at all. Customer service was genuine and impressive. So glad we chose them over Hertz. I was talking to an employee and they said that everything in the company revolves around customer service. If they don’t get good customer service ratings, they’re not eligible to get promoted. I’ll be going back to enterprise for sure.
We will never rent from Enterprise again after the way we were treated, they completely disrespected us! I feel like they purposely didn't properly communicate with us so they could intentionally mislead us! Had they told us on the phone on our way down there what needed to take place, to have the car for one more day, we could've rectified it and not been stranded with our 5 month old baby!
We always rent from this location. They are Super Nice and Accommodating, even when they are busy! An update to my review! We rented again in Sept 2016, Always pleasant to deal with the Enterprise Employees, they are all very nice! They have new tablets to work from which speeds the process up as you no longer have to go back into the office. We will be renting again with them in Nov!
I have had to get a long term rental and this Enterprise location has been amazing. I have worked specifically with Annie and she is so helpful, accommodating, and has even stayed later so she could help when needing to get our car switched out on a busy day. They have been so helpful to respond to my messages if I ever have questions about anything. Thank you for everything!
First time using this location of Enterprise Rental. Located close to downtown Salt Lake City. I had an easy, and quick experience. Never even went inside the building. Less than 5 minutes from the time I arrived, I was driving away, for a trip to Bryce Canyon National Park. I reserved the car on the app quickly also. All the paperwork was digital, and sent to my email.
I had no issues getting my car at all. The girl who helped me was very nice. I had to wait about 10-15 for my car and she apologized and even offered a discount on my rental to make up for it. I rented a car at this location a couple years ago and since then I think they've definitely made a big effort to make it look nicer and to improve customer experience.
Salt Lake City Downtown is great! We worked with Joe who was fantastic and pleasure to work with! I am extremely satisfied with the car rented. All went without a hitch. Everything was delivered as booked and better. No hidden fees. No issues at all. Quick and efficient..... Drop off was a breeze..... Highly recommend Enterprise Downtown Salt Lake City!
Excellent service! They helped me get in and out and off to my road trip! I have been renting with Enterprise for years. This is my second time at this location and I greatly enjoy the customer service. When my wife went to return the car she loved the customer service, and she is very particular about this topic, having a communications degree.
This Enterprise experience was excellent. The staff was friendly when I checked the car out and when I returned it. There was no waiting either time. After returning the car I requested to be dropped off at my next destination. Immediately someone offered to drive me there. The car performed fine and the cost was what I had expected to pay.
Great experience from checkin to checkout. Brent provided awesome customer service - explained everything we needed to know and answered all our questions on the front end, and when we dropped the car off, took the time to give us a quick ride to our next destination! We will definitely choose this enterprise again when we come back to SLC.
Enterprise is my favorite car rental agency. No matter which branch I use they are always friendly, have the tools of vehicle I reserved, and they are not pushy about selling add-ons. Rented from two different Salt Lake city enterprise rental and excellent both times. The one time I didn't rent from them made me regret my decision
I am removing one star just because the car I rented was not with full tank and the tires were not properly balanced and aligned. Because of the tires, driving in a highway was not pleasure enough. After I got my car, I received a message from the manager and I replied to that but never got an answer about the issues I was having.
5 star customer service! Chad and Jordan were a huge help when I accidentally made the reservation for wrong day. They were able to find me a car so I didn’t have to go to another location. And Morgan was also incredibly efficient and helpful when I needed to extend my reservation another day. Will come back next time I’m in town.
In my opinion, this office has the the most unfriendly, non-helpful people I have ever worked with. The managers tried to blame me for their inability to have vehicles available for others to use. They charged me over $1000 for a drop fee! Highway robbery. I do not recommend them. Do not use this Enterprise. You’ve been warned.
They didn't have our car there so they upgraded us to a larger one which took 45 minutes. I wasn't too happy with that since we had a 4.5 hour drive ahead of us. The car ran fine and was clean. Returning it was simple and painless and they even gave us a free ride to the airport hotel. I would rent a car from them again,.
I chose this location bc of the easy access to the green line tram to the airport. Annie was super friendly and helpful and when I asked for the most affordable option available she definitely came through. Good costumer service and nice cars. Totally recommend and if I’m back this way I’ll use their services again.
I had an amazing experience here! I had locked my bag in a car after returning it after hours and they were so kind in helping ship it back to me. They were kind during the process of me renting a car. I will definitely be coming back to rent again! If I could give 6 stars I would. Thank you Jeff for all your help!
I would highly recommend this enterprise. All the employees were very friendly and accommodating. During the rental period our windshield got a crack from a rock thrown up by a truck. They did what they could to help us out and were able to take care of it free of charge. Both the car and price were great.
My experience in Salt Lake City with the staff was excellent. The people were friendly, helpful, and courteous. Although the car I rented was unavailable due to some minor repair issues, I was given an upgrade which proved to be an excellent choice considering the trip we had planned. Good job by all.
Rented sedan for 3 weeks. Friendly and helpful staff, moderate prices, easy pick up and return of the car. Overall pleased with service. My only dissatisfaction is about protections (insurance) pricing, but its probably not much differ from competitors prices, so I cannot complain too much about it.
I reserved a mid-size SUV over the holidays. When I went to pick it up the day before Christmas one of the associates told me he would like to upgrade my rental at no extra charge. I then asked what it was and he said how about an Audio Quattro 7 . Wow what a REALLY nice surprise and a great car!
All the staff at this Enterprise location were exceptional. They were all very professional, and fast to serve us, both on pick up and return, even with a few people returning/picking up cars, and having to deal with Covid restrictions. I would not hesitate to rent from this location in future
The customer service at this Enterprise location was surprisingly good. I received a text to check on our rental, responded with a question (I didn't know if we had snow tires and was in an area where some roads required them), and received an immediate response! After hours return was easy.
Customer service was fantastic, A+. The staff was excellent, they let me pick from several similar cars, walked me through the process, and the return went very smooth. The rental staff even gave me some insight into the city. Definitely would rent again from this location in the future.
Very good service. Diamond was very easy to work with, very professional and nice. Was upgraded from an Intermediate to a SUV as they were out of cars with no additional charges. I love working with this Enterprise rental they have always gone way overboard to make the experience good.
Tyler and his crew did a great job getting me a car for around 3 weeks. Why rent from the airport (and pay high charges) when you get better customer service and save hundreds for a locations minutes away. I highly recommend using this location since you will be well taken care of.
Reserved a minivan for 7ppl, got a Toyota for 4 because the stores don’t like to send cars on a one way trip. Operating on a store by store basis is a poor company strategy. As a national company, you should be more customer centric Enterprise! You just lost a customer for life.
I have used this location of Enterprise a few times and have always been satisfied with the service and the vehicles. Annie, in particular, has been very kind and has great customer service skills. She is very attentive and tries her hardest to help meet my requests.
First time renting a vehicle outside an airport in the United States. Price was well bellow anything that was available in SLC. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got a nice upgrade too. Definitely worth checking out again. Probably best rental experience ever.
Very friendly staff. Clean car. Got an upgrade from an economy car to standard size. The process was efficient. We were glad to find this location close to where we stay as it cost us less to rent our car here than at the airport. Would recommend this location.
Booked a mid size SUV for a trip to Yellowstone National Park. The car provided was VW Tiguan and was in a great condition, thoroughly enjoyed driving it and enterprise made sure to provide a seamless experience in the process enabling a great trip!
I was very VERY pleased with my experience. The price was affordable. The vehicle, a 2018 Camry was great! My family and I will begin using enterprise for renting a vehicle going forward because it was so stress free. I’m a happy customer for sure.
Got a rental about a week ago from Enterprise downtown. Not only was the staff super helpful but also very pleasant to chat with. Definitely seems like a fun environment and very welcoming to customers. Shoutout Matt, he was my rep and super cool.
This branch is excellent. Well organized and professional. Incredibly honest as well. I left $40 cash in my rental car by accident and they sent me a check for that amount! I don't think you'll see that many places. Would recommend them for sure.
It was mostly a good experience. Car was very clean. All tires needed to be rebalanced though. We were told the location was just "a block or two" from the TRACS stop-it was actually 4 LONG blocks and a difficult walk for me and my husband
We enjoy renting from Enterprise. We use them often to travel for softball tournaments. They have great customer service and we always have a positive experience working with their reps. Their rental rates are affordable and always have a
Downtown slc location was great, Jeff the manager was awesome. My car smelled like smoke and he made it right with a discount. I felt his approach and engagement made me feel valued as a customer and heard. Thanks for the awesome service!
It's a shame this place gets lumped into being compared to places like Budget, Payless, Alamo, etc because it's in a whole different league than the other guys. Their staff went above and beyond to ensure that I was beyond satisfied with
I recommend HIGHLY the Enterprise Rental office of Salt Lake address 404 S 300 W Salt Lake City where Diamond and Danny work. I have never been treated in my career of rental cars like I have with this location. They came through for me
A 2 hour flight delay caused us to arrive after close of business on a Friday evening. The manager (Jeff) stayed late and had everything ready when we arrived. The return was just as easy. If there were 10 stars, I would gladly give it!
This place is a joke the corporate office and all area managers take no time to handle responsibilities in a timely manner. They play of responsibilities so that they can put off things longer. Truly not a professional "family" company.
One of the best rental car experiences I've ever had. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Lisa and Anne I believe were the people who checked me in + helped get the rental car configured appropriately. Highly recommend them!
This is by far the best Entreprise I has ever visited. The staff was so friendly even in the pouring rain and cold. I ended up dropping the car in Las Vegas which was bad...this location was the one who ended up helping me make sure
October 2018, great staff and service. After a few minutes at check in, we were on the road. Rented a Rogue for a week. About 10 minutes from airport via Uber. The Rogue was nice but lacked power in the mountains on acceleration.
Big thank you to the Enterprise team!!! I came in on a busy Sundance weekend without a reservation and they quickly came up with a solution for finding me a vehicle that worked with my needs. Super friendly staff and extremely
