I had dropped off my truck for repairs at a local shop near by the Enterprise location, so I called them a week in advance to set a date/time for them to pick me up from the repair shop. The day of the pick up I had to wait an additional hour from the scheduled time, when i had already schedule a week ahead of time, even reminded Enterprise an hour in advance, and the repair shop manager had called them the same hour to pick me up, yet they still decided to pick me until an hour later. When they finally decided to pick me up and drop me at their Enterprise office, the representative attending me on my rental was extremely quick on his dialogue as if he was on some sort of hurry to finish explaining the terms. The actual vehicle I was given to rent was a truck which I'm glad they at least had that right, but was a complete mess. The truck was full of dirty stains all over the seats, the truck's floor was pretty filthy with dirt, and the dashboard was cover in dust. However, I did not have any mechanical/functional issues with truck it self, so the truck did good enough to get me from point A to point B. When I returned the rental truck back in, the new representative was better at communicating with me and I had no issue with her. The following day, I realized I had forgotten my garage opener in the rental truck, so I went back and they were very friendly on returning it back to me, so am grateful on that. Overall I had an an O.K. experience with them, but I would probably get a rental vehicle somewhere else, unless they can improve on their scheduled times, vehicle cleanliness, and customer communication.

Update: Shortly after my experience, I received a call from a different manager on my voicemail. I was optimistic that I would at least be able to explain what had happened and hopefully implement better fee disclosure at this location. However, after trying to return the call 3 times and leaving 2 messages with other employees, the manager never called me back. Unfortunately, this lapse of service really just made my opinion worse and I’ve changed my review from 3 starts down to 2. There’s a clear lack of communication at this branch. Original Review: Convenient location with great rates. Had a frustrating experience lately. I thought I made it clear when I picked up my car that I did not want any rental insurance and showed her a copy of my USAA coverage. I do this every time I rent a car anywhere. However, “basic” insurance somehow got added to my rental and increased my final total by $150. I signed it but didn’t realize she had added insurance coverage (I made the mistake of assuming it was just the normal signatures I needed to do). I don’t think it was intentional or malicious but I believe it was careless by the person helping me to not hear what I wanted (“I do not want any additional coverage”) which I guess she interpreted as me *wanting* basic coverage. I’ve never had this issue renting a car before and it was very frustrating to have my rate almost doubled.

I have always used Enterprise for my car rental. I have never experienced such a rude customer service until Jake. I had made a reservation on November 9th and came in today to pick up my vehicle right after I had dropped off my vehicle to get maintenance. He claimed to have called me yesterday to confirm our appointment. I never received a phone call. He told me that he was very busy and they had no accommodation for my reservation. He had no customers in the lobby and claimed that he was going to be busy for the next hour. He claimed that he could upgrade my reservation if I paid the difference. It's Enterprises policy that if they do not have the vehicle you reserve that they will automatically upgrade with no charge he did not honor this. I had no vehicle and has to figure out how to get around town to find another Enterprise location that would accommodate me luckily the Enterprise down the street was not only fast and efficient but kind and understanding to my situation. I will advise others to stay away from this location. He claimed to be the manager and if he is a manager I can only imagine how his other employees run this establishment.

My insurance famers only has enterprise as direct pay for rentals. So when I get to this location i tell the manager I wanted an upgrade ,he said ok but it's going to be a 322.00 difference so he charged Farmers 350.00 for10 days and wanted to. Charge me the 322 on top of that so I said ok cuz I thought it was going to be a nice suv I get to the compass and it's standard no GPS of nothing just a regular radio with an auxiliary cord connection so I go tell the front desk lady this is not what I wanted and she said she could help me out with the price as soon as the manager heard that he came rushing to the front and said no he has to pay what I said no deals so me and him get into a Little argument and I leave try to get another car from different location but the manager lied said I threatened him when I did not and got me put on the ban list because I would not let him screw me over..... BE CAREFUL WHEN RENTING FROM HERE...... EZ ADVANTAGE GAVE ME A GREAT DEAL WHEN I WENT THROUGH ORBITZ ONLINE....

I actually had to use this location instead of the wurzbach location. I would like to say it was a much longer wait time due to staff calling in and having new management. I absolutely get when there is change it can be chaotic yet upper management should have sent relief. The car that was first introduced was going to be released to me still dirty from the last customer. Once again due to the staff calling in. I went ahead and let another person who was waiting go ahead of me due to rep having 4 more customers waiting. Chris did a wonderful job trying to keep it together along with presenting another vehicle which he cleaned and detailed before I drove off. The experience would have been better if upper management would have sent in more help due to that location getting regular customers along with insurance customers. Other than that the rep made it right at the end.

Nightmare. Just a total disaster. I went to this place to rent a car for 24 hours (my car broke down and I had to drive my sister and her baby to Laredo) so I needed that to be done the same day ASAP. When I got there I had my credit card and also cash. I didn't know I couldn't pay cash, so I tried my card and didn't have enough credit so they asked for permission to make a separate transaction with my debit card available, and they said they couldn't run it unless I had a utility bill and my insurance card, so I had to go all the way back home to get the utility bill and to deposit all my cash to the bank. When I came back after an hour, with all the requirements they asked for they told me they couldn't run my card because it had already declined once. Soooooo "it was gonna have to wait until the next day. I went to HERTZ by Ingram and got a car in less than 5 min.

If zero stars was an option, that's what this enterprise would get. A couple of things to note- They never pick up their phone. Left a voicemail. They said they called and left a message. Lie #1. Went in person to try to expedite things for rental reservation set for 2pm. They said everything will be good to go by 1, so 2pm should be no problem. Arrived at 2:05pm and car is not even on site. Lie #2. Still waiting for the car to "arrive." Even then, the car that's being received, isn't what they said I would get earlier in the visit. If it ever comes, this is likely Lie #3. What is the point of a confirmed reservation time for pickup when the company doesn't even follow through? This particular Enterprise location: straight up trash. Do not recommend.

Well the ease of reserving a vehicle was very good although when I called to confirm my reservation after they had contacted me they said they did not have any cars available I said but I reserved it for 12:00 noon and he said I'm sorry but we have none right now till our customers bring some back so I went to other enterprises to see they had a car and nobody had one once I called back to the original Enterprise another person answered and said no Mr Flores we do have a car for you. so there was a little miscommunication there. Also the vehicle had a loud buzzing noise on the windshield for the whole drive there and back.

I had 2 experience with this branch it is to far from everything in San Antonio but it help who served in Lackland AFB. In 2012 i rent a car for 6 months But everything went smooth but they refused to gave me offer to have the car to different state unless I pay 100$ or 150$ i am not sure about price and they had a lot of cars. In 2016 I had the car for 2 months and i am satisfied but i asked to have bigger car to travel to Houston they they told me it will be ready tomorrow unfortunately i went there the car was not ready. I wish they got more cars to this branch and they give more discounts for military.

First car was disgusting! Smokers car with ash and grime all over everything. I tried sitting in it 2 times and just couldn't. I asked for a different one more out of fear that I would get tacked with a $500 cleaning fee because they didn't even know it was a smokers car. 2nd car had expired tags and stains all over the seats. I literally drive it to my house and parked it until I had to return it because I didn't want to get a ticket in it. They told me the inspection had been done but that the sticker was sitting at another enterprise. I'm only giving 2 stars cause they were at least nice.

I love everyone at this location! I rent a car for work every Wednesday and return it every Friday. It’s been a challenging time in the education field for me and I’m not used to traveling this much at all but being helped on a weekly basis by Dominique and Rudy has made it look easier. Then there’s Daniel, Genie, and Roque they all work hard and great to get their customers in and out! The manager Marlene is so kind and always very energetic. Thank you so much enterprise team! I got almost half a school year down now I need 5 more months to go! I appreciate you all very much.❤️

I went a couple of days before Thanksgiving & there was only 1 person working. & man she was busy!!!! I made a reservation at a different location & she quickly switched the location to hers. The only thing was I didn't get the price I was originally going out to get- but the customer service was perfect! Even though she was running around, she got everything taken care of. Enterprise having an employee like her is the reason I choose enterprise over hertz, or any other car rental service.

Overall my experience with Enterprise is good. They're always friendly and the service for picking up and dropping off the vehicle is quick. My only issue is the inconsistency with their vehicles. For example, one visit I may get a brand new fully loaded Dodge, but the next visit I may get a very basic Dodge. I just wish there was a way to either request a specific vehicle, be able to favorite past vehicles, or be notified ahead of time of what vehicle they plan to assign to me.

I just picked up a vehicle yesterday and there is a huge crack on the windshield passenger side. Car jerks to the left when driving, feels like it’s going to turn off when at a stop and I’ve been trying to switch out of it since my car for 2 hours now and nobody can assist me. Customer service keeps sending me to swap out at locations that don’t have any vehicles. I have 3 kids I drive around and there’s no way I’m driving them around in this hoopty!

Well after being turned away at the airport location because they do not accept debit cards, had no flight info and they don’t rent to locals. I went here to this very location only to receive a car with expired tags! Thanks to the DPS officer who pointed the expired tags at the buc-ese on my way back from Houston. Luckily he was nice enough to let me off with a warning. I don’t think I’ll attempt to give this whole “enterprise “ a third try.

Incredibly slow! I made a reservation for a rental. Once I was helped at the counter, I waited 50 minutes before I was inspecting my rental to drive away. Their internet was down, but they had 2 iPads that were working to process payments. I was offered a RAV4…they were cleaning it before I could take it. 20 minutes later they told me they gave the RAV4 to another customer. They need better processes in place to get people in & on the road!

Severely under-staffed. Took over 30 minutes to pick up when I had a reservation and even longer to drop off. When the high-ranking air man from base walked up he was put straight to the front of the line ahead of at least four others who had been waiting. Car was not cleaned thoroughly and smells of mold/mildew. Car was not full so I had to calculate exactly how much gas to put in. I will NEVER use Enterprise in San Antonio again.

First of all let me start with saying that I am so disappointed and upset with how this Enterprise operates their business so inappropriate , no customer service skills whatsoever, no Compassion or understanding for their customers I'm starting to believe that there may be some type discrimination, who knows. ......

Great staff! They picked me up within an hour of no-notice calling and they stayed late so I coukd turn the vehicle in a few days later. (Sorry about that guys, not intentional. The scheduled drop off time was done by the main customer service center) Also had wonderful assistance getting info about the lical area, car sales dept, shopping and entertainment locations. All around outstanding Enterprise!

I was in desperate need of a vehicle. Last minute, I had ten minutes to make it to them before they closed and I got the help I needed. I talked to a guy named Max and he could hear my desperation and decided to stay a few minutes late to meet me and get the ride I needed so I could pick up my family from Houston! Talking about above and beyond! Very happy with the service I received!

I used the enterprise on Valley high in S.A. Tx. The store manager and assistant manager provided great customer service. Everyone there is courteous and helpful. The vehicle was clean and ready to go. The pickup and drop off time is fast. I definitely recommend this location. And look forward to doing further business with this location. Best 9 days of rental service.

If I can give this no stars I would. No one bothered to call me, and waited two hour to see if someone would call me or even show up but no one did. Tried calling the number they have in the sign for one hour and a half and was also a waste of my time I should’ve look at previous reviews before I booked at this location so I ended up with no rental!

On the day my rental was supposed to be ready. It wasn't ready. Had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes. Didn't get my deposit back which was understood because they were going to keep it for the insurance they charge. Any days left over were going to be waived because of having to wait almost 2 hours. Instead they went it my account and withdrew 93 00

Not enough employees. People were sharing rides to body shops rather than waiting for the one driver to give strangers separate drop offs. My son-in-law made an appointment & the reserved car wasn't returned & cleaned until nearly an hour later. Several people inside working, wearing multiple hats. Phones ringing off the wall. Mayhem.

Terrible, I have never heard of a rental car company never having cars. At this point I have been waiting a week for a vehicle and have not received one yet. Every day I call and I am told the same thing "we will have one by 1200" and yet that afternoon they have no cars. I have no idea how a rental car company never has cars to rent.

A gentleman picked us up at caliber and drove us the enterprise to get the rental. Upon pulling into the parking lot, he was speeding and screeching the tires. As we were driving, he was taking turns very quickly and not driving safely. The lady that helped us upon arrival was very nice, which is why the rating wasn't lower.

The rental was disgusting, dirty inside and out, the cigarette smell is out of this world so unbearable, I got a terrible migraine from the smell, it doesn't drive well it starts to shake at 50 MPH no highway driving for sure. I tried to replace it no luck with no one trying to help. This whole company is no good.

Smooth and easy transaction. The staff was very helpful and friendly. When we thought we were getting a Toyota Rav4 we were not disappointed when we ended up with a Jeep Wrangler. Enterprise helped us out of a tough situation. Fix rental cancelled our reservation with out communication. All of the other rental companies at the San Antonio airport were booked out. Enterprise had arranged for a new shipment of cars and we were able to get one. The car was brand new. Service was great.

Well. The check in was easy. The lady who helped me was quick and the preinspection was fast. She even told me she messed up on something on her tablet and that I would see a lower price!! Check in was less than 5 minutes for my rental!!! The new procedures are so much quicker and less hassle too!!!

The vehicle I got veers to the right really bad and I had to cancel my trip because I didn't feel safe. I didn't wind up driving it once I got home and since it was so close to Christmas, I wasn't able to switch it out because they were closed till after the 26th. -5 star in my opinion.

Rent from them several times and every time it has been wonderful. The Valley high staff are amazing and friendly. This last rental was the best, was treated like royalty and was able to pick the car we liked. Loved it and recommend it to anyone in need of renting a car for a trip

There was this young lady that was going to rent me a SUV. The manager stepped in and said no because it was taken and she said it wasn’t. Long story short the manager was saving it for someone else apparently one of his friends. This, please shows very poor management.

You have to put down about $500 for the rental plus the payment. They return the payment a week later. Long waits, Nd if you need help you might as well just guess be a use thats what the employees are going to do before they give u a bunch of service numbers to call.

Car pick up and drop off takes too long. I was also charged for gas when I was clearly told as long as it was at least half tank when returned it was good. Car was dropped off with 3/4 gas and was told I would not be charged, yet I was clearly charged.

Slowest place; lady kept smacking her gum while helping people. Continued to work on the phone with other people while helping someone else. Very messy not put together. Also made people sign up for insurance that was NOT NEEDED. Do Not Go Here!!!

There were no vehicles available after setting up a reservation. Then the vehicle I was put into had mechanical issues. When we set up a time to swap vehicles, there were non again and was stuck there with no vehicle. Horrible service overall!!!

Extremely pleased with the service I received here. Made a reservation for a 12-seat van and they upgraded us to a 15-seater at no additional charge. Customer service was on point both in-person and over the phone. Will definitely use again!

Yup I’m calling during business hours. I have called 3 times, it goes straight to hold, then disconnects after 30 minutes on hold. So yes I’ve been on hold for over an hour and a half now and haven’t spoken to anyone. What great service.

Worst location for rentals. Don't answer their phones, don't pick up scheduled pick ups and worst they lie about their policies. Avoid the headache and call the 800 number to find you a more professional environment. They deserve a 0.

If I could rate a 0 I would. I had no problems with them until I did not receive my $50 deposit. Place just scammed me. They keep saying they sent it out but I still have not received it. I don't recommend them at all. Never again.

Very busy location! Must have a reservation here. Otherwise, they might not have a car for you. Be sure to reserve ahead of time! Staff is very tuned into providing excellent customer service to each person there to retrieve a car.

I didn't have any problems with customer service. The car that I received reaked of cigar or cigarette smells. Like it was turned in never cleaned and given to the next renter. It made my clothes smell everytime I used the vehicle

2 hours to get a car, the staff did not communicate to each other and were giving away each other's cars, and then the first car we got had a check engine light, 2nd car had two bad front tires, but we took it and it worked out.

Great service every time I have gone. They always have a good deal and are way better than any other rental car establishment I have used thus far. Also, the military discount is great and they will pick you up right on base.

Service was pretty good. Did not deliver car, also the car was black interior and exterior... Not good on a 110 degree day.
