I rented a car from the Enterprise location at the Hudson Bay Centre (2 Bloor St E) in Toronto for a week in October 2023. When I returned the car to the Enterprise location, I asked the employee who processed the return if I could change the credit card that they would use for the payment for the rental car. They said it was not a problem to change it. However, they did not process it correctly as it was placed just as a hold on my credit card, and not as an actual charge. After a week of the transaction just appearing as a hold on my card and not as a charge, I called my credit card company and they confirmed that Enterprise had only placed a hold on the card and that Enterprise would need to release/change this hold to an actual charge for the payment to be processed on my credit card. I then called the Enterprise location I had rented from, explained the situation and asked if they could change from the amount just being a hold to an actual charge to be completed on my credit card. They could see that the payment had been placed only as a hold and not as an actual charge, and they said they would get it resolved right away by contacting their “field support team” and would get back to me by the end of the day. I never heard anything back, and nothing was done to resolve the issue. I followed up with the Enterprise location at the Hudson Bay Centre multiple times by both phone and email over the course of the next week, asking for information about why this hold has not been processed as an actual payment, when it would be fixed, and why it was taking so long to get a resolution. I asked for the issue to be escalated, as it should not take weeks for a car rental payment to be processed. After hearing nothing back at all, I just gave up on trying to get any help from Enterprise. It has now been over a full month since I returned the rental car from that reservation, and the charge for it has finally be processed to my credit card. I still have not had any response or follow up from Enterprise as I had requested. I have received no explanation why it took over a month for my car rental reservation to be charged to my credit card, despite reaching out to Enterprise numerous times asking for help and information from them. On top of that, since the car rental charge has been processed by Enterprise so late and the transaction date they entered into the charge is over a month ago, I cannot earn any rewards points on my credit card for this transaction (my rewards credit card provides 2 points per dollar spent on travel-related transactions including rental car reservations). I have never experienced such unresponsiveness, unwillingness to help, and a complete lack of customer service from a car rental company. I will never rent a car again from any Enterprise location because of the terrible experience I had with the Hudson Bay Centre location. I strongly recommend that others avoid Enterprise, and in particular never use the Enterprise location at 2 Bloor St E in Toronto.

I would give a high rating for this location's services if this review is only about the car and rental service they provided. But the lower rating I gave here is about the non-transparent and poor communication about the billing process. After I dropped my own car (had accident) to the body shop, Enterprise gave me a ride to their rental location and asked for my credit card for deposit. This is not the first time I was in this situation since I understand the deposit is just for the potential damage I may have to their rental car. And my insurance company has approved my claim and will take care my rental expense. But surprisingly, after I returned my rental car, this location sent me an invoice and charged me the full rental expense which is supposed to be covered by my insurance. And I found out my previous reservation (which my insurance company has approved) was cancelled and they started a new one when I picked up the rental car (and NO ONE informed me about this change). Since then the ping pong ball game starts...invoice was issued and case is closed so Enterprise cannot refund to my credit card... insurance company needs to call Enterprise to explain the situation....Insurance claim advisor needs to review my rental agreement and receipt to reimburse my money...And if I did not take a half day to call everybody then the $650 deficient will be in my credit card forever I guess.

Had a very disappointing experience with Enterprise at 2 Bloor St. East. We booked a standard car. When we arrived, we were generously upgraded to a luxury vehicle, a 2022 BMW. This vehicle broke down on the highway--the transmission failed and the vehicle would not accelerate, in what was a very dangerous situation. We were lucky to be able to steer the car to the shoulder of the very busy highway, where we were stuck for about an hour. We were able to get the vehicle to a nearby Enterprise branch where they exchanged it for a compact car. When we returned the compact vehicle a week later to the 2 Bloor St location, we thought they might take some responsibility for renting to us a vehicle that broke down and endangered our lives on the highway. They did not even offer to refund us the difference between a standard car (that we originally booked) and the compact that we ended up with. While the people working there are friendly, I would never rent there again, as I expect a business to take responsibility when their products endanger the lives of their clients. They did no such thing. EDIT: Do not be fooled by the response from the owner below. They did not follow up. They just gave me the run around and acted like the irresponsible corporate tools that they are.

A bit tricky to navigate parking lot. Just follow the signs up top. Step 1: locate Canadian Blood donation center. The ground level location is this. Step 2: facing away with the Enterprise sign to your back and Blood center to your left follow this map. Step 3: right after The Bay you will see a narrow door that is wheelchair accessible. Go through it then use the elevator to B2. Step 4. Exit the elevator take the left door (right infront) then look for the Enterprise National sign it will basically make you go straight then two rights until you see a little booth with Enterprise banner. I will update on how to return when I return the car and more pictures. Note: the location is very busy so please be prepared ahead of time. TTC: take the exit shown in the photo The LCBO will be on your left and the bay after that and finally the little elevator hallway after that takes you to B2 (Update:) to return the car: head west on Bloor St E and Park Rd it's a very narrow entrance right after Longos. Take a slip to enter the public parking then go to B2 following the Enterprise sign. Follow the elevator sign to get to the elevator and back up to 'C' for main level inside Hudson Bay. Note: Order of the photos being uploaded may be weird so please read steps above.

I would have rated it half a star but it is not an option. I generally don’t give bad ratings but this is happening for quite a few times now hence I had to rate them low. Staff at this location is turned unfavourable and uncooperative. Other Enterprise location are offering far better services especially Front Street one. Current Staff are quite rude, disrespectful and arrogant. It was one of my favourite location before Covid times however recently after the staff has changed they are not treating customer well. They are tarnishing the image of Enterprise brand. As if they are operating as an independent entity. I have been renting a car from Enterprise from last 4 years but never had such a bad experience. Current staff at bloor location don’t even entertain a small car washing request(as a courtesy) if you don’t rent a car from their location. In fact they had asked me to end the contract in the middle and take a fresh one from their location then only they will wash. For adding a secondary driver also they asked us to go to the branch from where we rented the car. This is ridiculous.

This review is long overdue. Koko deserves every bonus, raise, all the praise. I was not there when my mother picked her car up in June. But she was a wreck. It was my mum's first time back in Toronto since the death of my father and while she is independent, he always took care of everything in Toronto (which was his home town, not hers). From what I heard from her, she broke down, crying (rare for my mum so we know she was distraught), could not find her paperwork, license, and was a total mess. She said that Koko was absolutely amazing. He showed patience and compassion. He went above and beyond what was expected of anyone in a customer service situation. I was with my mum when we dropped the car off. I was lucky to meet Koko. He took some time with my mum, checked in on her. This was about a month later but he remembered her. We joked around a bit and chatted. Koko is an amazing human. Thank you! This is an employee you want to try to keep!

Absolute disorganization and abysmal customer service. I basically lost my garage door opener because of the incompetence and lack of ownership of staff at this location. I swapped out a car(a whole other saga of not having cars they said they had and having to drive me across the city), came back 30min later and the original car had been rented. Then they claimed they could not contact the customer. The car came back multiple times over the next few days, and they were unable to communicate amongst themselves to get someone to retrieve it (I told them precisely where it was). They NEVER CALLED ME BACK ONCE and continuously allowed the car to be re-rented out without retrieving my garage door opener. I chased them for 4 days, calling numerous times, before giving up. The door opener is likely still in the car!! Zero ownership and accountability of issues across all employees I spoke to at this location. I would never come back here.

I am a regular enterprise customer at other locations but this was the first time I've experienced customer service this bad. DO NOT rent from here. I had booked a car in advance using a corporate discount and even called the office before picking up the car to ask what I would specifically need the day of. He did not mention my corporate ID on the phone. When I went to pick up the car he refused to honour my discount because I didn't have my corporate ID, and even claimed he told me to bring it when I know for a fact those words never came from his mouth. A clear lie from the employee in the office. The guy didn't care, he had no empathy for the situation. In the end I had to make alternative arrangements since I had people waiting on me that day for the car. Never booking here again. Enterprise needs to train the employees at this location on basic customer service.

We had a reservation confirmed through the Enterprise website for the Family Day long weekend. We had bought non-refundable tickets already for the weekend, but the system didn't let us know that the location was low on cars. When we got there, Hichaan let us know that we were on the wait-list, but that there's a chance we wouldn't get a car. Over the next 30 minutes, we called every other Enterprise location in Toronto but none of them had cars available either. When we got off the phone with the last location, Greg approached us with a set of car keys. He met us know that he, together with Hichaan and Sam, found a way to coordinate with another location so that we could leave with a rental car immediately. Big shout-out to the three of them for resolving a difficult situation and saving our weekend plans as well as our ticket costs!

The company was previously located at 920 yonge Street. When I rented the van the company already charged me the rent plus the $500 security deposit. After that the company again charged me $1026 on my credit card which is unauthorized and unacceptable. The credit card company refunded me the amount as it was unauthorized. Now the company has put the amount again into my credit bureau without my authorization. Also, most of their locations are in basements. They have high and low ceiling all over. You make one mistake and they charge you so much. Its a money making business. Now they ask me for $1832 and have put all the amount in my credit bureau. Two days rental costed me approximately $3000 for no reason. I would not recommend ENTERPRISES RENT A CAR to anyone and rent the car from this company and provide their credit card details.

I will never rent from Enterprise again. They rented me a car that was not in good mechanical condition, so I had to exchange the car during my trip. A few months later, they charged me over $1600 for damage to it that I did not cause, which will automatically charge my credit card in 10 days. If the charge doesn't go through on my card they say they will send my information to collections, which will harm my credit score. A warning to all renters out there, Enterprise will not hesitate to bill you for all pre-existing mechanical problems with the car. Even if you walk around it, and it looks fine, the engine may have problems that you will be stuck with paying for even though you did not cause them.

This is probably my 5th time renting from this enterprise. I’ve never had any issues with staff or pick up, they were always pleasant and accommodating, picking up and returning was always smooth. The location can be tricky to find but once you find it the first time, you won’t have any trouble finding it again. The one thing that can be improved is the availability of the car — often I will book for a compact SUV and once, it seemed like there weren’t any available at the time and we were offered a Sedan instead. IMO we should be upgraded to a bigger and not a smaller car if we prepaid for the compact SUV. Nonetheless, this location is excellent!

I booked a car from them for one night, Friday to Saturday. I pick it up on Friday at 3 pm and return on Saturday before 8 am. I received my bill and was charged double the amount I expected! The bill had a mistake and read I'd had the vehicle from Friday to Sunday (an extra day). I called and told them the issue. They said they would watch the video footage to see when I returned the call, and they'd call me back and refund me. I get everyone makes mistakes, thank you for looking into this. However, it's now been a week, and they haven't refunded or called me back. I will now be chasing to see what the hold-up is. Not impressed.

This is my other go to Enterprise location along with the one in downtown. I had a good experience with this location. Some people say it is difficult to find, but bear that in mind, that would be true for all other rental companies at this parking lot. The staff is nice and helpful, shoutout to Andrea who always makes the rental experience great. If you need advise on how to find the location by car: you should be on Bloor Street East and you should be heading west. Once you pass the Longo's, there will be a way to get down to the parking lot. It is a little difficult to notice because of the construction work.

The car was great, and the people working there were wonderful and very efficient. The downside was that the line was incredibly long -- we arrived slightly before our 10am reservation and didn't get our car until after 11am. I'm sure this is just because this is one of the few car rental locations opened in downtown Toronto on Saturday morning, but additional staffing would have been much appreciated. Also, note that the location is *inside* the parking garage. It was a bit difficult to find. Once you're in the parking garage, the signage was great, but the signage in the ground level mall was not great.

I have been renting with enterprise for over a decade now and have had to go to several different locations. I can tell that depending on who is managing the local branch you either get the best service ever or the worst. In this location, I can tell that they have a great manager as all the employees I have had to deal with to either pick up or return the car are excellent and all so far have very consistent in term of great customer service ( I am 100% convinced it’s because of their manager great leadership). Please keep it that way, always a pleasure to come pick up a car at your location.

CSN Avenue Collision rented a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car Bloor location on my behalf. I returned the car safely and unfortunately the careless team at CSN Avenue Collision incurred a parking tickets well after I had returned the vehicle. Enterprise reached out with the citation. I explained the situation, provided images/video of the safe return time-stamped before the ticket time. The branch manager Sampann Malhotra informed me my credit card would not be charged. Sure enough, it was charged the next day. I am still trying to get my money back. Do not rent with them.

I always have skepticism when renting cars even with big brands due to past experiences. I chose this location among the others because of the reviews and as such I also wanted to share my experience to others for their reference. Sam was the manager who contacted me before the reservation day to confirm again with the reservation, welcomed me on the pick-up day, and the drop off. The experience was seamless from start to the end, and surprisingly very pleasant. I would recommend renting from this place to save the hassles or worry about the typical car rent experience.

The workers at this enterprise location went above and beyond to help my husband and I. I wish I can remember their names, but all the guys downstairs helping with the cars were very professional and helpful.We had a great experience renting our car, its was quick and easy. One thing was the location marker on google is a little deceiving. You have to go into the entrance of the hudson bay center which is slightly east of the google marker, go towards the subway station and follow the signs for "Rental cars" then you'll find the Enterprise office. highly recommend

Friendly staff, car was clean inside and out. Was a bit tricky finding the entrance when returning the car for the first time. Would hire again from here without hesitation. UPDATE: The only issue I've had here is with regards to returning the vehicle after hours. Sometimes I've been charged under the assumption that the vehicle was returned on time (Sunday afternoon), sometimes I've been charged as if returning the vehicle the following day (Monday morning). I'd recommend confirming the branch policy when hiring, not just from here, but all car rental places.

Update - it has been 2 months since I was told that "Customer service is of the utmost importance to us" and yet nothing has been done, despite my various emails. posted 2 months ago: Rob offered me a refund of one day from the September long weekend and I am still waiting. Have called these guys multiple times, given my credit card info on the phone at least twice, and have spoken to 3 different employees who all promised they would deal with this, but they haven't. Never renting from here again - awful service. Really expected more from enterprise.

One of my best enterprise experiences. Rented from them for the Civic long weekend and the experience couldn't be better. Sam the branch manager is the key. He knows how to talk to people and how to de-escalate situations. I saw him do just that when customers arrived but were asked to wait 10-15 mins for their car. This branch is a little away from where I stay but it was the only one that could give me a rental for the dates I was looking for. Hope to rent from here again. They truly go above and beyond. Very friendly staff and excellent service. We were late for our booking (cause the mall was such a maze and we were lost trying to find them) and instead of penalizing us for it, they upgraded us for a bigger car for free and gave us 3 options to choose from. The return process was also very easy. My only criticism is that the office is located in a parking lot that's really hidden but it's not a criticism of their company... I would definitely book them again in the future.

From the branch manager to all the staff at this location is super nice, accommodating, helpful and most important they know what to take care of their customers. Not once multiple times they went above and beyond. I live in North York and I really do not mind traveling all the way to downtown to pick up my rental car from this location. I had a great experience renting from this location. Staff are very professional and friendly which made me feel confident about renting from Enterprise. I gave a four star rating only because they had no vehicles when I arrived to pick up my reservation, and waited for about half an hour while cars were dropped off. However, I'd like to give a shout-out to Matt for helping me with my questions and concerns, and was impressed with how well he handled that situation.

I've had a couple bad experiences with rental companies but my experience here was very nice. Picking up was very seamless and very professionally done. I actually felt welcome. Return was great as well. They are rigid with return time so you most likely will be charged if you're late. I appreciate how they spoke to me & treated me here. I also had a wide selection of cars and I got to choose exactly what I wanted. The fuel return helps. I would recommend it.

Their assistant manager is beyond understanding and all of their staff are friendly and prompt both in person and on the phone. I have had many questions and they are always eager to help! As a west ender, this location is out of my way but I always come here because I know that I will get quality service. 5/5

First time dealing with Enterprise Rent-A-Car as my vehicle was in a recent accident and was in the body shop for repairs. Everything went smoothly with the duration of my rental besides just in the beginning where the car was low on coolant & Washer fluid. Which was a inconvenience for me to go out of my way to refill at another enterprise location. The associate (Taiwo) that handed me the car was very nice and informative of instructions of my rental.

Not impressed. We booked our vehicle online and received an email confirmation. As we were going to pick up our vehicle, they called us 20 minutes before pick up time to advise there were NO vehicles available for a few days. They did not provide any options for us, and our plans for the day were totally ruined. They could have offered a solution, or found another vehicle for us from another one of their locations. I would NOT recommend them.

We rented enterprise for Canada day long weekend. When we got there the car was still on the way so we waited for about an hour, but Greg and his teammates clearly explained the situation to us, did a free upgrade and gave us some discounts! They were very authentic and tried their best to help, which we really appreciated. Thank you for bringing our trip a very good start!

DON’T RENT HERE!!!! the absolute worst pickup experience of my life. i can’t believe enterprise would rent out so many cars with so few agents. the queue is in the parking lot, extremely polluted and extremely dangerous. the few agents frantically move cars around at unsafe high speeds by the queue. in line for WELL OVER an hour WITH A RESERVATION. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE.

This staff at this branch were efficient and a pleasure to rent from. When they didn't have the type of car I rented, I was upgraded to an SUV. On return when they were unable to give me a ride back to my hotel, so they issued me a credit to cover the taxi fare. The best rental car experience ever. I would 100% recommend them and use them again!

Whether you're renting from Enterprise or Hertz or Budget, Always Always Always remember to ask the rental company employees for directions to the parkade for when you return the car. This location is a bit tricky; I got confused and parked at a different location and had to pay $5. Kevin from Enterprise was kind enough to give me a $5 refund.

Avoid, impossible to find office. Spent 22 minutes trying to find their subterranean office. Minimal or no signage, long corridors and dead ends in the vast Hudson Bay Centre. Total frustration and then told my reservation would not be honoured. btw, nobody answers phone when I called this office multiple times to get directions. Ridiculous.

I reserved a vehicle via their telephone reservation system and got confirmation number. Within few minutes from the reservation, I got call/sms from this location that my reservation is cancelled due to vehicle unavailability. What?!? ‍♂️ If there is no vehicle available, why did the enterprise agent reserved the vehicle for me?!?

We waited 30 mins past our reservation time to get our car. Then it had to be cleaned. There was also a large line up of people behind us. Staff was friendly but one guy in particular (younger, Asian man) was great. We were late to our plans because of this delay, I wish the car was ready when we needed it and booked the time slot.

First time renting from this location and will do so again. The staff took the time to confirm the reservation two days before the pick-up which could not have gone more smoothly. I returned the car this morning and was greeted by staff immediately asking how everything had gone with the rental. Two thumbs up.

I've been standing in line in a hot parking lot with a dozen other people for hours. None of our rental cars are here. They're waiting for cars to be returned and giving them as they come in to the front of the line, regardless of what vehicle type you booked.

Was nervous but Enterprise treated me well! The VW Passat was nice and they were honest about their pricing. The only drawback was finding their office in the underground, was very confusing and I needed to ask the competitors at Budget to help.

Worst ever, particularly the Polson St. location in Toronto. The website will allow you to reserve a van they don't actually have, so you think your moving needs are set, and then...wrong! No van. Never, ever rent from Polson St.

Great experience, was tough to find the parking entrance, but a great rental experience. The staff is professional and courteous. We need to complete the rental at Enterprise Office in B2 basement.

This location is amazing. The Branch Rental Manager Kemar Alleyne is very supportive and friendly. If you are looking to rent a car from Enterprise I suggest this location for pick up.
