"This place use to be an amazing Station"
"If possible, I would rate this establishment much, much lower! This establishment is partnered with numerous established companies, but the two entities I’ve had the worst possible experiences with on separate occasions is BCLC & Tim Horton’s; with the strict guidelines they are expected to adhere to, not to mention in these times & economy??? These people working there are incredibly rude & I have escalated the details to the parent companies/entities"
"To be honest this gas station sucks"
"This is the most expensive gas station in Vancouver"
There is only 1 problem facing @ this gas station for more than 6 months till now, not only for me but for everyone. Regularly visiting clients get turned down for not using the washroom it's not by the workers it's by the 7/11 . They should think more about this and fix their problem soon because people not only travel from the city's nearby people come from usa and tourist from all over the world. It's a really bad impression for 7/11 a big company that can not fix the washroom for more than 5 months. I have been coming to this gas station since 2009. before 7/11, other owners never had any problems like this. They provided clean space, and everyone was able to use washrooms. They never turndown anyone. I stop coming to this gasstation now where they loose bussiness from me and I request to all taxi, limousine, uber drivers stop going to this gas station if they can not serve us why do we need to go there. I do guid people there is a gasstation other side of the bridge which is clean and they never say no to use washroom.
This place use to be an amazing Station. However the Washroom has never been in Service in the last 2 or 3 years. I’m not sure but I think the washroom works they just won’t let anyone use it. Some of the Staff are very RUDE & Uneducated even on their own equipment. I got a pre-sale receipt that if you’re using for Tax Purposes the Government will not accept. You need a Final Sale Receipt. I ask 2 times for a Final Sale Receipt and was given 3 Pre-Sale Receipts. Finally I gave up. With Tim Hortons in there you need to have a Washroom for Customers I believe. I guess they figure ONLY STATION LEFT in Downtown Vancouver so they can treat you however they want. It’s disgusting in my opinion. My friend heard a cyclist say I need air can you turn it on please? They turned on the air. My friend asked them to turn it on he was told NO YOU HAVE TO PAY for Air if you’re a Vehicle. If at all possible go over the Bridge 3 stations within 4 blocks ALL OF THEM will let you use Washroom and way more Customer Service Oriented!!!!!
If possible, I would rate this establishment much, much lower! This establishment is partnered with numerous established companies, but the two entities I’ve had the worst possible experiences with on separate occasions is BCLC & Tim Horton’s; with the strict guidelines they are expected to adhere to, not to mention in these times & economy??? These people working there are incredibly rude & I have escalated the details to the parent companies/entities. Needless to say, I know at the very least their lottery license will be revoked. All I can say is ‘Wow’! & such a simple task to adhere to!
To be honest this gas station sucks. I don’t know if it’s possible for gas station to suck but when I think about it, this one does. Maybe it’s because it’s the only one downtown so it’s heavily used but I swear every time I go there the pump either isn’t working or not excepting debit/credit and then you have to go inside and are greeted by a poor homeless guy out front opening the door for expecting $ in return. The employees inside are always miserable probably because of all the garbage they have to put up with. I wish there was another gas station downtown:( Oh the good ol days…
This is the most expensive gas station in Vancouver. Also, somehow, it's the gas station with the most problematic pumps. every second time I come here, there's a problem with the pump (no matter which one I use) and I need to go inside. I gas up a few times a week from Abbostford to Squamish. Never anywhere do I have a problem. I can not recall one time I had a problem with a pump anywhere else. Yet this place, it's every second time I go there. very frustrating!
Getting more and more dangerous at this station, any time of day. Fight almost broke out today, and nothing done about. Panhandling inside of the store, and being accosted at my car is also becoming a daily thing. I get it, they need stuff, but I no longer feel safe here, which is frustrating, because for the most part, the staff are decent. They don't deserve to work in such an unsafe spot either owners need to do something.
Super lazy staff. One the staff was slowly helping a customer while the other one sitting behind the counter checking her phone ignoring the line up. Good luck with Full Service! They never come out of their "nest" to help you. Also you have to load/unload the propane gas capsules yourself and doesn't matter if you're young/old , man or woman. Staff will do their best to minimize the amount of energy they have to spend
The most horrible place I have ever gone to get gas and will never go again. The rudeness of the employees was absolutely astounding. The young woman behind the counter was abrupt, clueless and looked like a criminal. Also the staff kept on talking amongst one another ignoring the customers. I did not bother to bring out my optimum card as I felt so uncomfortable that I wanted to get out of there.
So staff over here is so dam unfortunately unprofessional and rude today i went there for fill and get some snacks anduse washroom they said told its not open and walked away specially turban guys is pure stupid CSR never gona fill it up there owner or manager should need to check their behaviour with customers come on buddy if you dont like customers service jus switch your job
Excellent gas station. Always can choose from regular (87), plus (89), and premium (91) gas. I love pumping up at this esso because it’s the only gas station left downtown (and I live a few blocks away). They also accept credit card and have a nice selection of soda and snacks. You can even take a piss in their washroom, just have to ask for the key from the cashier.
The feels good but the service is off in the store. Needs to be cleaned. It's as if the stuff don't really care. They just sit in the back talking to one another. There's a lot of work done. Involves in a gas station that you be cleaning the washrooms mopping the floors making sure that there's no theft very badly. Managed very badly. Managed disappointed
The place was more or less empty when I went there. This place doesn't have a car wash, but you can check your tire pressure here. The store is also pretty big, you can buy almost anything in the store. There are three stalls and 12 filling stations in total. I fill up the gas from there all the time, I will definitely go back there again.
Its always so slow and so crowded... especially in the mornings... at Tim H. They need more personal (especially that know what hey are doing...) from 5:30am to 8 am.... Monday to Saturday And the store they need to have way better customer service... I get it's hard but if u hated why to be there??♂️
This gas station washroom facility is closed for more than two month every time when we try to go there they said it’s out of order it’s pure lie. We understand sometime homeless guys are make mess in the washroom but there’s only gas station in downtown we should complain to the city of Vancouver regarding this.
Pump times-out fast. If you ride a motorcycle, make sure your tank is open before you do anything else: the time it takes to put the card back into your wallet, and then move the key from the steering lock to the tank lid is enough for a pump to refuse pumping, and then you have to do the whole rigmarole again
I am working as a driver. For many time I got gas from there. Today I stopped for Gasoline. I went inside to use the was room. The staff said it's out of order from last 7 months. They themselves use subway or 7-ELEVEN washrooms. It's hard too believe. I will never go there again. I advise others. Terrible
Excellent, they sell great gas, my car loves it!, also smells very good and the body is perfect, cristaline classy look that will make your engine perform like a real beast, do not forget the amenities that this place offers, it comes with a 7eleven with a Timmys integrated, get your ice cap this summer!
Nik the attendant refused me permission to access the outdoor plug on the side of the esso station. He refused to allow me access after being told I have mobility issues and needed to use the power to power up my mobility issues. Vancouver is the worse place in the world for person's with disabilities.
What can I say? It is the only gas station in downtown, so a lot of cars will come here to refill during rush hours. In addition, it does have a location for pumping your tires and vacuum for cleaning your cars. Other than that, the fully functional tim horoton is a bonus (ac actual store-like place).
The only remaining gas station in downtown Vancouver so it can be busy. Actually extremely busy on Friday and Saturday nights, especially if the night club (Celebrities) around the corner is open. There is a Tim Hortons inside the convenience store to sell you coffee and donuts but no seating area.
I stopped in to fuel up our corporate vehicle since we have a contract with Esso. Before I did any refuelling, I asked if I could use the washroom. I was advised that there is no public washroom, even for individuals with an Esso contract. I will no longer be supporting this Esso location.
So why is this the only gas station in downtown again? I mean wouldn't you think all this stop and go traffic that's happening in downtown, there'd be a higher demand for gas. Maybe they rather open up another club or Japanese restaurant than let me destroy the environment quicker.
I like this gas station because I can get in and out quickly. The staff are friendly and there is a large variety of snacks and such. There is also a Tim Horton's on there too. It is the only gas station in the West end, which I appreciate. I recommend this gas station.
I find the whole payment system confusing! You need to guess how much you think you will need and it's not clear it will only debit what you use. So guess $100, only pump $50, and it will only debit $50. But that is not clear and assistant was not terribly helpful.
Open very late (24hrs, not sure). Public restroom available, but very dirty. Shopping space is crowded. Check out speed is normal, sometimes pretty slow. Employees are pretty nice and friendly. Located at the intersection of the street in Vancouver downtown.
Staff in this Tim Hortons that is located inside an esso gas station is very disrespectful, mean, and hash. When it comes to customer service, we as costumers expect positive attitude, polite and normal behavior. I believe they should be trained properly.
I had to try 4 different pumps before I found one that worked. Staff unhelpful and rude. No washroom. The pump operation instructions have no clear way to bypass optimum card. Nightmare gas station, a disgrace this is the only option downtown Vancouver.
Kind people and good service at both the gas station and the Tim Hortons inside. I enjoy coming here and feel very welcome. It’s right near my work, so the fact it is open 24/7 helps with my night job, as I can pick up a snack and coffee at any time!
The Esso story began in 1880 in London, Ontario, when 16 refiners created the Imperial Oil Company. In 1898 Standard Oil of New Jersey (now Exxon Mobil Corporation) acquired a majority interest in Imperial. In the 1900’s, Standard Oil of
Vancouver Downtown's only gas station. Nothing special but your typical neighborhood gas station. Prices of the gas is a little more expensive than Vancouver's price but almost similar to North Vancouver and West Vancouver. No complaints
My go to gas station due to its location to my house. Easy in and out although your choice of directions is limited (works for me) been having some issues last couple of months with pumps not reading my Aeroplan card and not printing
Your washroom is closed for more than 3 months now, I don’t what kind of service business you’re into. This is the only gas station in downtown vancouver that doesn’t have working washroom! I’d rather go to petro or chev thanks!
I don't get out (my friend stops for gas and a drink) but the staff are fast and keep the line moving. We've never had to sit and wait. The staff are friendly and it's a convenient location before a long drive in farm country.
Probably, to my recollection, the last gas station in downtown Vancouver. While everyone is selling their gat at about $1.70/liter, this station has had the price tagged at $1.56/liter for the longest time.
No recipes from the machine number 12 for days , four of them are standing inside, and guy don’t care when I tell him to put the receipts paper inside so I don’t need a walk in every time to get a receipt
Go to any other gas station to fill up the manager is discriminatory!!! Witnessed him let a woman use the washroom and to the next gentleman told him it was OOO when he really needed to go. So inhumane.
Has all the nastiness we need fuel tobacco an abundance of snacks and sugar plus everything for phones and devices let's not forget coffee!!! All comes with a whole lotta taxes to sum up your visit :)
Terrible Terrible Terrible worst expereince by Girl **JASPREET KAUR** she has no manners to how to talk to customers,Store owner should teach her some more customer service Lessons.Very Disappointed
Beware of the car wash, 8-10 min per car. If there are 5 cars in line you can easily wait an hour. They do not give refunds if you can’t wait and tell you to come back later when it is less busy.
Ehh. I filled up my tires here. But the inside seemed weird. I got out of there as quickly as I could. Probably won't be back (but that's mostly because I don't live in vancouver)
No diesel! As of Sept 6 2023 Ii really want to give less stars. But this is literally the only gas station downtown. We should support them so they don't turn into a high rise
It is what it says it is. Convenient corner. Clean restroom. Optimum points for gas. Staff congenial. If Tim's had a better stock of doughnuts late nite I'd give 5 stars XoXo
Restroom closed. Reading other reviews it has been closed for several months. Was informed that it was the owners decision to close the restrooms here. Go elsewhere for gas.
Be careful in using PC points at the pump. There's a minimum to comply or otherwise might eat into the value of your redeemed points. The rules are not clearly advertised.
Worst gas station I've ever been. The staff are rude and unprofessional. Restroom is closed permanently. They won't let anyone use it. Very disappointed!
As the only gas station downtown, it's very convenient, though the traffic can get quite heavy at times and can get quite a bit sketchy at night.
gas store open 24/7 that's excellent. In addition, there are 4 employees working (12:30am). TimHortons only to sell drinks at night, not food
$12 for the cheapest liter of oil that I needed badly. Wow not just gas gone up. Always make sure you have an extra liter in your car!
easy access, there are always pumps available to fill gas, I use my points card, I have never had problems with payment
Good service ,quick and convenient if you are in the downtown area .good service and also a Timmy’s inside for a coffee
* THIS GAS STATION DOESNT HAVE DIESEL * Google listing says it does- this is not accurate. Staff weren’t of any help.
Its always dirty. And they just ppl hang out front asking for money. Ppl follow you to your car asking for change.
They are charging $2 for air and don't even have tire pressure indicator on the machine. Unbelievable...
This Esso gas station is always busy. The pump was a bit slow. Average customer service at the counter.
High prices, expected. Rudeness of cashier to customers, unacceptable. Never going back!!
Worst customer service don't allow to use washroom never filling gas from there again
Gas station is a gas station. With the prices so high everywhere I can't give better
I deal with my fecal matter here from time to time cause it's clean and free!
I filled up quickly and went into the C-store and the service was great!
Worst place to visit. Not clean and washrooms are always out of order.
No washroom for paying customers is a big middle finger to everyone.
Zerro customer service by the chubby turban indian guy. Very rude.
Washroom out off order from last one year, very rude staff
Bad service they don't have washroom and staff is very bad
It's a gas station in the middle of the city. Works for me
Only gas station left in downtown core of Vancouver
Their washroom is always out-of-order …
Very nice gas station.
