Awful place. Asked about D1 licence update a form post office issue, bluntly told to read the documents. Not a good experience. I cannot believe how rude both the "gentleman" and lady are. Absolutely beyond awful. The lady thinks she's the Queen of the manner with such horrendous arrogance. Sure take a phone call whilst serving customers then call over your servant husband to eventually take over. And the man is just a barking dog who will do anything to get rid of you. Stop selling things cash only too and having a mood if we ask to pay with card. Possibly the consistently worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not to mention the bully tactics they use to upsell services or else your parcel seems to go missing. They really do force people into a corner and the most vulnerable are taken advantage of. Someone at head office needs to review these owners as nobody has a good word to say about them. They behave like they're doing us a favour by serving us. I'd rather drive to Evington village than deal with these guys again. Should be ashamed of themselves. 0 stars is generous.

I recently visited this really awful Post Office located on Evington Road in Leicester where good customer service is actually one hundred percent non existent and this place definitely deserves ZERO stars. Both the man and woman working at the different counters in this Post Office have ZERO respect for their customers they both are just so vile very rude aggressive giving attitude to all their customers and they also treat all their customers like rubbish. All the negative reviews left by previous customers are shockingly a true reflection and a very accurate description of the reality of bad customer service you will receive when visiting this Post Office. It is not surprising at all to see that they hardly ever have any customers in there every time you go into this Post Office or walk past regardless of what time or day it is. I will not be using this Post Office ever again and I will go to other Post Offices where good customer service still exists.

Why this place has been given a licence I don’t understand. The staff in this post office are so rude, the customer service is disgusting all the staff are rude especially the man don’t know who he thinks he is but needs to go on a customer service course along with the other members of staff . Every time I have been in this post office since these pathetic people have taken over the service you get is absolutely disgusting, no manners whatsoever like they doing you a favour won’t be using this post office ever again. Pearl chemist Mr Singh and his family use to run the place really well the service was always amazing. The new staff don’t even deserve a 1* rating I would personally give it a 0. The staff bring there babies and have them on the counter, so unprofessional.

Pathetic service. One of the worse attitude I have ever seen by a postmaster. It used to be extremely well organised and well run business by the chemist family (Pearl chemist). Mrs Singh was extremely pleasant, always welcoming, helpful and had excellent communication skills. Once the business was sold to this owner, the service at post office has a vertical drop. The whole staff at this postoffice needs to go on a course how to run a business in England, wake up this is not India where you treat the people like dirt! Show positive attitude, value your customers, treat them with respect and dignity. They will bring you business. At the moment I tend not to use this post office. This place needs to be shut down with the current owner and its staff! Enough said. 0 star.

RIPP OFF Post Office, like walking into Arthur Dalys car showroom, tactical pitches to lure you into buying insurance, tracking and upgrading to special next day delivery by clever questioning. Seen plenty of elderly people being questioned like "is it valued over x", "is it important", "does it need to get there on d day" then you need to send via special delivery etc, they go in for £2 postage and end up being sold a £7 service, disgusting, they need to be reported for their hard sells, the wiser ones say no, but I have seen lots getting dazed and just giving in, they probably walk out and think what hit them. Should be ashamed of yourselves, there must be a commission structure incentivising this hard sell.

As an OBA and Pick and Drop customer, I've had to endure the miserable and unprofessional behaviour of the 'postmaster' and staff at the Evington Road branch (LE2 1QN) on more than one occasion. This, sadly, is my 'local' branch and was only using them reluctantly due to the lockdown requirement to work from home and not to travel unnecessarily. The 'postmaster' has now effectively removed all Royal Mail services forcing OBA customers to find alternative means to get their post into the system. What will it take for Royal Mail to remedy this and give us a post office we deserve?? One that actually works for the community and treats all Royal Mail customers equally with dignity and respect!!

Disgusting customer service! Arrived at Saturday at 1.03 with parcels not knowing the post office closes at 2. She slammed the door in my face, shocked I asked if they were closed or just closed for lunch. Talking through the door she screamed at me to read the sign on the door and that they close at 1. I said she didn’t need to be rude and also didn’t need to talk through the door. She continued to scream as I walked away and then proceeded to open the door (as I got to the car) and scream ‘WE CLOSE AT 1 READ THE DOOR’ like a banshee. She was awful. I assume she’s the owner or owners wife but disgusting behaviour and doesn’t deserve custom. If I could give it a zero star rating I would.

I love going to this post office. The staff are friendly and go the extra mile for customer service. What I'm extremely disappointed is that soo many people are leaving negative comments, where have all the positive customers gone? Some of the comments I read are from selfish individuals who expect the post office to spend time with them answering all their queries during busy periods. I've also seen the attitude of some customers towards staff members as well therefore don't blame some individuals for getting fed up. All you negative commenters will feel it if these guys had to close down. Rather than being keyboard warriors speak to them about these issues!

Extremely poor service, I will not be returning. I went in today and the woman dealing with my request was on FaceTime whilst serving me. Not only was she unprofessional but she was rude about my return and what I had to do which I was fully aware of as I have done it time and time again. Regardless of this the service was unacceptable, this is not how you run a business I’m not surprised that this family run post office has received so many bad reviews. I have come in many times as this is my local post office however the service still hasn’t changed. I refuse to go back. Basic manners aren’t even shown here, let alone good customer service.

Horrible place. I looked at review's before and felt they could possibly be wrong but they were right about this place. I only went in as I had a freepost letter and just needed it sealed. So asked the guy at the counter if he could seal it with tape. Only a small amount was needed He then said that he had no tape behind the counter. I mean seriously you are a post office. How can you not have that. I had to buy it in store and he just told me to go outside and put it in the letter box I felt it was terrible customer service. This place needs to close down. It's a disgrace to postal services everywhere. Never going back there again

After my 10 years loyalty to this post office, I can say that one agent (Male) has been very rude, aggressive, no manners, no greeting, unprofessional customer service provided to me, he asked me weird questions of my parcel, he wanted to charge me high price. I went to another post office where I knew staff very friendly, polite and professional where they charged me correct fees without ask very strange questions about my parcel. However, I will never ever use this post office anymore and I won't recommend it as it is very complicated and stressful. I may give rate MINUS TEN (-10)

Worst customer service ever, wish I could give it 0 stars. The lady working kept calling next but there was another man in the que. I started to look over and the lady again said next and started telling me to come forward with her hands so aggressively. I was with my disabled grandma and I explained to her there was someone else in the que and not to wave her hands at her. She was being so rude it was beyond believe and the attitude on her is disgusting. By looking at all the other reviews a lot of people feel the same.

The gentleman with the glasses is extremely rude as he doesn't even give you time to explain why you came to the post office. Also there was one person death and the staff member kept shouting at him even after 5 times that guy didn't reply which by then the whole office understand he is death but the Indian guy with a foreign accent took some time. People are not good at all but because we need to use certain services we are force to go there but overall very poor place which need new staff and possible kind and polite

Worst post office in Leicester. They try to scam you for services. The lady is rude and does not know proper English. The man working there is rude and always says “ i don’t care “. This is not the way to treat customers. This place will try and scam you if your sending for a first time so be careful. Aswell as this there is a lady working there that brings all her kids and all they do is cry at the back. This is not a nursery this is a post office. Stay away from this place it’s gives me bad vibes.

Not sure why the woman and man who work there are so rude and arrogant. I was filling the form for special delivery and the woman snatched it before I could finished writing all the details on the form. I go to her what are you doing and she just stared at me like a cold frosted statue no expression or emotion. They have a terrible attitude to customers. Complaint about Evington Road Post Office 189-191, Evington Rd, Leicester LE2 1QN. Worst Customer Service Ever. Never happy or cheerful staff, always miserable. I took around ten parcels to post and needed receipts. The lady refused and said they only allow up to 5 parcels. That's nonsense!! Where does it state that?? I'm not happy. I want to know what you are going to do about it? This was on Saturday 07/11/20 at around 12.40pm. Served by a slim Asian lady with long hair.

You can go there and get the service you require, such as postage or banking deposit etc. However, don't expect anything else. The service is non-existent and rude, they run a bizarre system with postage on one transaction, but buying envelopes would be on a separate cash only basis. Lastly, the staff/owners bring their little kids into work, I saw a baby on the counter in a bouncer and a crib and toys behind the till for another child - not the place for kids.

This place needs shutting down... their service is appalling. They aren't helpful with anything. You ask them a question as your unsure of anything and they should know the answer as they run the post office they give you a blunt answer. Think they overcharge for some of the service. Only go to this one as it convenient but I rather go somewhere else that give proper helpful service. They have poor que management with or without covid presence!

The gentlemen (to be polite) at the front shop till is very rude and not helpful, instead of explaining when asked an unsure question, he responds always with short and sharp answer, you feel silly for asking a simple question, this equates to unhelpful and awful customer service. Not welcoming at all. A smile goes along way. I am looking at alternative post offices. I hope they read these reviews and mend their approaches with customers.

I would like to say I went to the post office today and it has definitely been a much better experience to the last few times I've been. I used to go to one further away and can be tedious just to get post 1 item. I believe its under new management and the elderly man who helped me find gifting items for teachers was so helpful, polite and definitely would recommend for everyone who's given 1 stars to go now. I took my prepaid labelled bag to them at 4:45 but they did not accept. They said they did not have enough place. When I said How am I supposed to find another post office at this hour of the day, the so called “gentleman” turned his finger up the air and said ‘plenty if you google’. During this Covid19 lockdown and the fact that specifialy Leicester has gone back into a local lockdown after waiting 30 minutes in the queue and getting to the front I get told that its Cash Only. What backwards place is this? And I get a rude response saying nothing more they can do. I go outside to use their cash point and its out of order on top of that. Go somewhere else.

They always pressure you to buy more services. Very aggressive staff when it comes to serving you. Should bear in mind that they are a service offerer. Check carefully before you go in and say NO. Also really slow service due to pushing extras. Be prepared for a long wait.
