We moved to Jacksonville and needed a place to store our stuff temporarily...we found a great rate at the CubeSmart on Jefferson Road. We didnt know the area too well, so we were kind of taking a chance. Within minutes of placing my reservation, I got a very pleasant phone call from Shiloh the manager who confirmed my move in date and asked me if I had any questions. It was so refreshing to have a manager take the initiative and check on you as a new customer...but thats not all folks... When we arrived at the storage unit, we arrived a few minutes prior to opening, we saw an employee diligently walking the grounds and checking the building out as if it were their own home. Then, we saw him go into the office and turn on the OPEN sign. We walked in and were greeted with a smile and a "how can I help you today?". His name tag said "Shiloh, Manager". I said "Im moving in today" and he knew exactly who I was and said he was expecting me. He walked me to the units, showed me how to come and go, was very hospitable, asking me if I needed anything at all. What impressed me the most was how nice he was to my wife. I had to leave to return the truck and my locks didnt fit the doors. My wife went into the office to purchase 2 locks. Not only was he pleasant, he removed the new locks from the plastic, showed her how they worked, then walked her to the units to show her how they secure the doors and make sure they were done properly. This man was the only employee on staff that day and he still took the time every step of the way to help us, be professional, polite, and jovial. Shiloh is what makes a good company GREAT...CubeSmart, GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE!

I strongly recommend this place to any military member. When it was time for me to renew my yearly contract I asked Heather if there was anything she can do to keep me as a customer and she offered me military discount and went above and beyond to asked corporate if I could get the same price Cube Smart offered me and they were considerate enough to match the offer. Heather thank you for being you! This company needs you! Jacksonville need businesses like this that support the military. Kennisha Johnson the store manager provided excellent customer service. She knew her stuff, friendly and professional. She facilitated to keep me as a customer for at least another 15 months. Thank you Extra Space!!! Just moved in from Phoenix AZ, found this location online and figured for the price of the Unit I’d give it a shot, I booked my reservation online and within 3 minutes I got a call from the store manager Shiloh, he was exceptionally nice and told me he would be in tomorrow to help me get all set. When I arrived he greeted me at the door and showed me the unit that I would be renting. It wasn't as big as I thought it would be so he showed me a bigger one and it was perfect. Shiloh has great costumer service skills and was a pleasure to do business with. His facility was beyond clean and easy to navigate. I would give this location a 10/10. My husband and I are very pleased with our unit and Shilohs store. Keep up the good work!

Bias and condescending behavior to customer and petty targeting behavior to certain types of customers they deem beneath them is horrible. I've been a customer with extra space for 3 years Im NOT coming back. They need to get new staff, the facility is great for the most part. If you need long term use I'll go elsewhere because the rate increases every 90 days $30-40 on Average. For short term use great company to use. Customer have chemical leaking out of there unit unabated not to mention a strong weed order coming from units. So a lot of work to be done but never the less still decent in comparison to lower end storage units. They have lot of work to be done to compete with U-HAUL and other higher end competitors.

Kennisha Johnson(site mngr) was great in assisting me w/what my needs were & not selling me on what they had available like most places do. She was super sweet & patient in taking the time to help me navigate exactly what it was I needed…in space & in price! I will also be Her co-worker’s cheerleader as yesterday I went to take my big furniture on a trailer, only to get there & find out my keys to the lock were missing from my key ring. She quickly got me a new one, went up there & sawed the lock off & it was taken care of just as fast as it took to become an issue! I am not really a review giver but can genuinely say this place has been wonderful & I personally recommend them…even if you’re on a budget!

Had a smooth transition after much drama from moving! Thanks to one of the managers, who exceeded our expectation and went above and beyond to ensure my friend made it to the storage facility and still have plenty of time to unload all of his stuff. The space and location both internally and externally were perfect! Only disappointment was the referral discount program where my friend, who then referred me to open up my own storage, got a discount of only 50% off my monthly rate (my rate was for the smallest room), whereas some other storage businesses would have given him a full month off of his own rate (he had the largest room) for helping to expand their business. Thus, the lack of a star. IJS!

What a great place and awesome staff. After renting a storage unit. We discovered that we needed bigger. Heather, the Manager, helped us immediately and we had upgraded to a larger unit. It was on the same floor and one isle over. What a blessing. Super easy to get in and out of. Hand carts to help get things in and out. Clean and friendly staff. We Couldn't be happier! After using other places in the past. I must say. This is a place that is leaps and bounds ahead of the rest. Ill never use anyone else now. I have been here nearly 2 years, since CubeSmart owned this facility. It was much better when cubesmart owned and managed this location. The past 3 times I have been here there have been roaches crawling all over the second floor. Not just neat my unit, I have seen them go from different units into others. I reported it to the lady in the office today and all she said was people spray monthly. Obviously that's not helping much. I also noticed the elevator safety certificate expired in August. I'm pretty sure that's against county code. I will be reporting this place to the county and moving ASAP. You raise prices every 6 months for what? Roaches and safety hazards?

Pros: Relatively clean, newer facility. Never saw any live bugs or spiders. People who work there were always friendly and helpful. Cons: 1. 6 months into your contract they will jack up the rates on you. 2. They were completely unwilling to work with customers going through business challenges due to the pandemic. 3. Getting in and out of their facility is difficult because they are right off the 295 ramp which is often backed up with cars waiting to get on 295. It's like some kind of real-life game of Frogger trying to make it to their entrance. I suppose you might like the challenge if you're into that kind of thing. 4. Regularly saw dead roaches in the halls.

Had an emergency situation where my closing of my new house had an issue. I was not able to close and move into my new house. Had all of my stuff packed up on truck in front of my parents house and was in limbo. Pulled up to Cubesmart to talk to a rep. Martjuan and Kennisha were amazing. Within 15 minutes Martjuan was able to get me a unit and he offered me special. I cannot believe the service received. Professionalism and exceptional customer service at its best. If you want exceptional customer service and a wonderful facility at a great value, please see Kennisha and Martjuan at Cubesmart located on 45 Jefferson Rd.

This is the absolute worst facility to use. There is never any one available for help, questions, or answers. They decided to increase my auto payment over $100 without notification. I questioned them and they said that is what the going rate is and nothing they would do. When going to empty the unit after 2.5 years and notifying them we will be stopping use of there services. Our codes will not work and they locked us out of the building. Manager had a horrible attitude. Save your money and go somewhere else, sell your stuff, or practically anything other than using this business.

If you’re looking for self storage business, look no farther! This place has specials going on that are for real, nothing bogus about it. You can choose different sizes according to your needs, and depending on how big tote unit is that is what you pay. No hidden fees. They tell you everything up front of how much it will b on a monthly basis. They explain how to take advantage of the special and going forward you know how much your bill will be. Do not rent from the White elephant in the room. Go with these guys and you’ll be happy you did!!

I stopped in and asked for the manager Tito. I was told he no longer worked there. I got an uneasy feeling by the reaction of the worker there. I was puzzled as he had helped me before and was really great. He had provided great service to me and my wife with our storage needs. After not visiting our unit in over 10 months, we found it necessary to seek a little service after the sale. No key in our posseion fit the lock. Consulting Tito saved us a lot a pain and strain as we were able to reaccess our unit and complete at least part of our intended tasks. Tito was professional, courteous, attentive, and ensured that we were satisfied that day as well as demonstrating his willingness to assist in any future needs. OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE!!!

Pros: Easy booking, clean units, complimentary dollies to help with moving, nice and helpful staff Cons: I reserved a 10x10 unit and was told it was a multi door unit - under the impression that it was a 10x10 unit with multiple entrances. I was given two 5x10 units next door to each other (and was charged a lock fee for both units). This was disappointing, but didn't largely impact my needs.

Excellent storage experience! Super clean and new facility, everything was working perfectly. Front office SUPER EASY to deal with. Access to the building (and hours) were great. Adequate flat rolling carts are provided. Climate control was as advertised. First month was only $35 for my 10 x 15 space - a great intro offer. I recommend Extra Space Storage.

We have been at CubeSmart for over a year on Jefferson Rd. It is always clean and the staff always provides excellent customer service. Heather the manager is always willing to assist and provides excellent customer service. They always help to make sure you are at the lowest rates as well! This is the prime location to be at for your storage!

We needed a storage unit for my grandmother since she had to down size tremendously. We got a 10x10 storage unit here and surprisingly ALL her stuff fits with space left over! The employees always greet us and ask if we need any help. We’re super satisfied and the price is much cheaper than our previous unit at a different location.

Recently rented a storage unit, super easy process online and immediate access to unit. I did need to call and ask a question, the person in the office was helpful and very nice.
