I have been a customer with Extra Space in Harlem for 6 months. Although because of the location, (it is pricey 5x5 is $211/mo.) you have peace of mind that your property is safe. I went to close my account over the phone before the new month renewed, with one of the reps who pro-rated the month and said they would cancel the auto pay. A few days later, they still withdrew the full month. I called them the following business day and spoke to Lee Martinez, to see what the issue was and if they could work with me in re-scheduling the move out since I had still been charged for the month, but needed to remove my belongings before June 1st. Although their computer systems were acting up, he said he would give me a call back. Note: In order to change your phone number on your account, you have to go in person. He called me back in a timely manner and liaised between the manager and myself to come to a new agreement. He was able to refund my $211 and we negotiated a new date. He was kind, polite, patient, and really wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my service because he was empathetic with my situation. I appreciate his following up with me and rectifying the mistake made by the initial employee. All star customer service. Thank you Lee!

We have been customers at this Extra Space Storage facility for almost 5 years. The level of service we've received, particularly from Lee at the service desk, has been outstanding. Lee is professional, knowledgeable, and patient in assisting us with our account inquiries and worked diligently to ensure our account is always in good standing. Lee went the extra mile to ensure we are satisfied and well informed as we rented a second / new storage unit at this location. Victor has also been very helpful and understanding whenever we had questions about our first unit. This high standard of customer service we've received has solidified our decision to stay with this Extra Space Storage facility for years to come. It's comforting to know that the management encourages representatives like Victor and Lee who really care for their customers.

Having sufficient space in NYC is always challenging. I've been a customer of this Extra Space Storage for several years now and have been impressed with the high quality of their knowledgeable customer service representatives. I recently used this storage space and my experience was incredible. When I was in the office I was assisted by Lee who has impeccable customer service. He is extremely pleasant and lovely to interact with. He walked me through the sign up and move in process very efficiently. I also had some difficulty putting up a box in my space and Lee went above and beyond assisting me. Even though he didn’t need to, he was kind enough to help me put up the box. The storage location is convenient, the price is affordable and based on the excellent customer service, I would 100% recommend using this storage space. (Ask for Lee if you’re ever there, he will make your day 10 times better!)

Jeanette: she was a wonderful helper just from one question. She shared all the information I wanted and needed. She respectfully helped the ones in front of me. And then wasted no time to get right in to assisting me. She didn’t wait the next day to help me move in a different unit. She even helped me over my boxes and she really didn’t have to. I just want to say how impressed I was with Kristina Massa's assistance. My brother-in-law rented a space and brought me along and Kristina took the time to show us several spaces (we had considered renting one together) and some just for me. Today I went back and was helped by Christina who was equally as professional and helpful, so tomorrow I bring my first load of stuff to my new storage space and save over $100.00 a month! Ms Janette Gonell saved my day from hell. I rented a unit at another Extra Space Storage location and went to the place to be told that the elevator is not working. So I swicthed to the 129th location of extra space storage and Janette has been so considerate about the situation and handled everything so quickly. She helped closed the previous rental and found the unit that is the cheapest and most suitable for my needs. I can't be more thankful

Kristina, the assistant store manager was extremely kind and helpful. She answered all my questions and concerns. I was able to walk out with a storage rental the same day. The rest of the staff was very kind as well. The building is nice and clean. It is not open 24/7. You have access Mon- Sat 8am-6:45pm and Sunday 10am-3:45pm, which works for me. Prices are more economical compared to others around the area. I truly recommend this facility.

Admittedly, I got here a bit late in the day (I wasn’t aware they close at 7pm), but Jeanette and Rafael were absolutely amazing. They helped me speed up my move in process, and they were so great to interact with, it made a sour situation not quite so bad.
