I still don't understand how I got kicked out. All I wanted was the donut! My English is not great, but I will do my best to try and explain. As an immigrant, I still struggle with the language. I went there to celebrate my husband's birthday. When I made the reservation online, I saw that this place is inside the Disco Dragon and that they have an ube filled donut. So, my thoughts were that I would bring candles, order the donut and sing happy birthday to my husband. But, since they are technically different places, when we were being seated, without my husband noticing, I asked if it would be okay to order from the Disco Dragon menu, to what they said it was absolutely fine. We were having a great time, nice drinks, nice food. I told my husband that I was going to the restroom and went to the Disco Dragon to get the donut. The door that divide the places was closed but there was a button on the side, when I pressed the button, the door opened. So, in the Disco Dragon, I ordered the donut and the server explained to me that the door was a one way only, so I shouldn't go through that anymore, but my donut was on the way. I apologized and she helped me get back to the bar, she had a remote to open the door or something like that. I was ready to keep having a good time, when the bartender Justin came to tell me that I had broken their door. I was really surprised, and didn't understand how I could have broken the door by just pressing the button. But I asked if there was anything I could do to help. He replied that the only thing I could do was to read the signs next time. I explained that the signs were not clear. To what he replied the they were very clear to anyone who understood English. Now, that was really hurtful. As an immigrant, I have encountered intolerant and xenophobic people. But, as a customer, I'd expect at least some respect. I burst into tears trying to explain what had happened and that it had been an honest mistake, but he just asked us to leave. He also said that I was banned from the place and from other places in downtown too. Man, Justin is such a scary dude. So, we settled our bill and left. But, I really wanted that donut. So, we decided to go back to the Disco Dragon. We went there, explained the situation. Taylor and another woman, whose name I don't remember ( I am so sorry!) Helped us out, gave us the donut and drinks for free. I was able to sing happy birthday to my husband and they even added the candle themselves. They were the nicest , but unfortunately I'd never go back to this place again (I don't even know if I am allowed to, right Justin?) So, yeah. Stay away from the donuts and from this place guys, at least while Justin is still there.

Unfortunate and sad experience here. I understand that each establishment has its own rules and requirements in order to provide a satisfactory experience to its customers. In this case specifically, there is a door that separates FYPM with the adjacent bar Disco Dragon in which individuals are supposed to only use in one direction, to enter FYPM. Unfortunately, we broke this rule when my wife went in to let the waitress in Disco Dragon know that it was time for them to bring out a surprise birthday donut for me. When my wife returned to her seat we were given a rather astonishing reaction from Justin, the server. He told us that we had broken the door, which later we found out was not true, and that we should have followed the rules of the bar. When my wife said that she did not know or see any warning at the door, Justin told told us that we should have been better about reading the sign. He then began to make some Xenophobic comments about my wife not being able to read English. We tried to rectify the situation by asking if there was anything we could do to fix the door, which was responded with more negativity and a threat to ban us from all the establishments that the bar operates since they scanned our ids when we checked in. We were then asked to leave, which we promptly did. We felt so bad about the door that we went back to Disco Dragon to apologize and see if there was some way we could fix it. We were then told by the staff that not only the door was not broken, but also they were not surprised about Justin’s behavior. As an apology they provided us a free ube donut with a birthday candle on top and sake shots. I was really thankful for this action and kindness, as without it I believe our experience here would have ruined our whole night. That being said, unfortunately I will not be returning to this establishment, as this experience was the worst I have had in Phoenix.

The drinks were very watered down and had those huge blocks of ice. Our server was not the most attentive or engaging, but she did take a few photos for our group. There was about 6 of us and we mostly ordered the same meals. The disco fries, the chicken, and the drink in a tea cup, but it's cold with a block of ice. The bill had an error when it came and the server was insistent that it was accurate. After we took time to calculate up all 9 drinks at $15/per cocktail plus the food, suddenly the server realized she'd provided an incorrect bill. This should have been her original approach. Also, I did not care for the music or type of videos being played. Lots of sexual imagery and violence showing across the giant screen behind the bar. I doubt that I'll return, but for a weeknight during the holidays, it was okay. I was happy that I found a parking meter in front of the building.

Really missed the mark. Save your money, there are better speakeasy’s in PHX. I was so excited about this place, but the drinks and food were really overpriced for such mid quality. I’ve been so many speakeasy’s in phx and sake bars and was so excited. The food didn’t have the pan-Asian feel the bao buns really missed the mark, especially the spicy mayo sauce was just mayonnaise. the waiter told me they use the best ingredients but just felt and tasted far from the truth. The bartenders were jugdy when taking pictures of the asthetics and music was not the best. For a Friday night you would think it would’ve been better, and they would have the staple bartender with the robot head, but no. The decor looked cheap like it was from Amazon and ikea

Edit: Hasn't held up. Went there tonight and got the WORST service. Premixed drinks and rude bartenders. Immediately one of our favorite drink experiences. You have 90 minutes (which is more than enough time) to enjoy the menu, the space, the music, and the food. The experience curators know what they are doing. And they are able to guide you through. Bonus: I have a ton of food allergies and they KNEW EXACTLY HOW TO HANDLE IT. Amazing. Get a reservation before you cant.

Really great place for an intimate setting with a few friends. Cocktails were tasty and the environment unique. Considered a speak easy its passage is through their sister restaurant. Definitely worth the wait. Be sure to reserve early due to its compact design. Cheers!

Brand new experience in downtown PHX with amazingly talented bar staff taking grandpas Old Fashioned to a whole new level .. and the food bites OMG so good (which I promptly forgot to take pictures of before eating!) -- the decor is a touch of asian meets barbie pink and fabulous - the back bar plays unique music videos

Very poor and honestly rude customer service from the young lady working the door tonight. I’ve visited once and everything was great with that experience. The check in at the host stand to the service inside. I guess I was wrong to attempt to become a repeat customer.

I had a fun experience at FYPM cocktail lounge. It’s located at the heart of Roosevelt. The menu was very innovative with dark jokes. The concept was very different from other cocktail bars in Phoenix. The decoration created a great vibes to party!

The drinks, food, aesthetic, and staff is like none other in PHX. The drinks are on an another level and they get them out quick. You need to check this place out. It’s hidden inside of Disco Dragon, ask the host at the front to be seated at FYPM.

New hot spot in Phoenix that you have got to check out with your friends! Make a reservation and go sometime after 7pm. Each cocktail gets a different cocktail glass. Similar to killer whale you can get your Polaroid photo taken

Very unique bar with amazing cocktails. Staff was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. I didn’t order food but the table next to me did and the chicken smelled AMAZING

It’s a new bar, I believe not much people know it yet. Once more people know it, I won’t find a spot here.
