Terrible Park. I wouldn't call this Fairview park when 90% of this park is mostly grass & football pitch . Rename this Fairfields. Absolute nightmare to see that most parks in Dublin are grass fields with very few trees. Who ever makes these decisions in OPW should be sacked immediately. Whoever thinks this park deserves 5 star needs their heads examined. Obviously they prefer sterile fields Vs nature. The Phoenix park too is mostly empty fields. See for yourself on Google earth you can see very few trees only placed around the edges. SHAME on the people who make these decisions on how parks should be in Dublin. Terrible. Absolute Disgrace. PLANT MORE TREES. MILLIONS MORE.

Use to be nice but now it's crowded with a lot of people up to no good. I use to go with the children I'm minding, sometimes we found empty bottle of wine/alcohol in the playground, as well as people sleeping in the play areas, not a lot of parents are taking care of their children and it gets really messy and ends up in tears (some kids thought I was the playground minder). Very busy, especially on sunny days, with children but as well people drinking and that's not a good mix....a pity because the playground is nice and you can see all around...

Added for 2023 june. This park will be mostly closed again. 3 of the main entrances will be blocked due to a private concert. You can go in at marino, so if your old stay at home or walk the extra. Eastwall to marino is about 2km. If you want a public space, walk the pavement, the well to do need their private venue in your space. Welcome from Eastwall. Also not the weekend when it belongs to football. Oh and i stuck to the grass so as not to get run over by a scooter or bike doing 40kph. By the way people live in tents at the back of the park.

The playground here is very good. But jaysus, they'd want to do something about all the youngfellas congregating around the place on their bikes. I know they aren't actually breaking the law, but like, its awful annoying, and the small tots get a bit spooked, and they'd be frightened to go over running on the skate ramp yoke with all of them there. The parking here is non existent, as far as I can see, unless you're lucky enough to shwing into a spot on the busy road.

It is one of best and spacious play area in Ireland with little or much minimal games to play with . I can attest that this park is second to Phoenix park in terms of land mass and green area available for play. It also bound by three major important roads which lunched it as city centre park to the world of tourism, with the incorporation Annselem bridge . It is a place to free up the mind!

Nice place to go exercise in the morning or for a walk with the family. There's a playground for children and a few monuments. It has a bike lane, football fields, machines to exercise. It's also a nice place for picnics, or just to lay down on the grass for a nap or to get some sun during the summer. The park is surrounded by a lake with seagulls. In some areas the park could be clean.

  • Elaine Metcalfe

Beautiful public park, gorgeous floral displays and lush green grass beside the Folks river, which is sadly not too clean but still home to beautiful swans, ducks and the usual ubiquitous seagulls! It also contains an excellent children's playground and skateboard ramp; this is one place where Dublin Corporation definitely got it right and deserve to be very proud of the fact!

  • Randall M.

Fairview is a beautiful place, there's cycling, green grassy areas and walking paths. Dedicated play area just for kids. A basketball, dog-wallking, skateboarding, and many soccer, frisbee, and training areas for all to enjoy. Many of the bench seated areas have been destroyed by vandalism. An update is badly needed in that area. Overall its a great place for all.to enjoy

  • david ohalloran

Fairview park is a large park Not as big as saint Ann's Fairview park is where kids from different clubs play a lot of football Fairview park also has a play ground for children Walking in Fairview park you have to be careful as there is a cycle track that runs from one end to the other any they travel at some speed . Also slot of unsocial people hang out there

  • Alan Jones

My favourite park in Dublin, definitely! The forested areas are really tranquil. There's a little river down to a pond full of ducks and sometimes wild geese. Great park for cycling through. There's a big playground for kids and race car track for remote controlled cars. Also, there are guided tours of the rose gardens at the weekend. Super place.

  • Sam Ni Neill

The park is a great amenity to have nearby, it can have a bit of an antisocial element at times, especially up by the train line. Generally pretty clean and there are bins throughout. Most people also seem to pick up after their dogs. It could do with a little extra maintenance but overall it's a lovely green community space.

  • Joe Corcoran

This park is excellent. All trees meet minimum leaf count requirements and wildlife is shot on sight. Pre-opened cans of Bulmers strategically scattered to provide refreshments for the occasional runner, and second hand contraceptives readily available should you meet that special someone. I give this park 3 large thumbs up.

  • Cathy Power

This is a great city park and fair play, Dublin City Council has transformed it over the years. It is a great place to stroll, walk the dog, play football or hurling, basketball and use the playground. In Spring the daffodils are spectacular and in autumn the colour astounding, but in summer, well, everything shines.

  • Camila Marcondes

Perfect park in town to bring your dogs, have a break and enjoy. Love it.. Still an amazing place. Dogs around, kids play area. Lot of trees, nature energy. Cool to chatting with friends, meditation, walk, run... Ur choice. Be in the nature. Enjoy the atmosphere and be thankful for everything. Life is incredible.

  • Anne Mcinerney

Great local amenity Used by all age groups Cycle paths, children's playground and a skateboard space for the teen-ager. The Co Council are to be seriously commended for the wonderful flowers they are in charge of creating. They really add to the park and always raise an appreciative smile by people passing by.

  • Neil Fitzell

On a lovely sunny morning, I met a friend, got takeaway teas, went into Fairview Park, sat down and after we drank our tea, went for a nice walk around the park. Very enjoyable and will do it again soon. Fairview Park is looking really nice as its the last week of April , with the buds bursting into leaves.

  • Manon van Alphen

Nice park, great shortcut to town. And they keep it so well. A joy to see all the daffodils! Its so nice too to pass it by bus: to see the playing ground as well as the skating. And what to think of groups playing all types of sport. A gem in fairview, which we could use much more to have a proper break.

  • James Mielke

Great venue for a show. The tent is so massive it somehow held the crowd for The Prodigy in one place, and yet navigating was easy, the drinks lines were all speedy and organized. Staff were friendly and the experience was great. Oh, the sound was fantastic but not overwhelming too. Really great venue.

  • Gwen Ford

Unfortunately the playground is frequently vandalised and it would seem local council have given up repairing the damage. It’s a shame that there are no public toilets here, but luckily one or two of the cafes across the busy main road will let you bring your kids to the toilet in their establishment.

  • Irina Díaz

A beautiful park on the outskirts of the center of Dublin, quite large, it has parks and courts to play basketball, a soccer or rugby field, and parks for children, there are benches to sit on and the grass is well maintained to be able to lie down or do picnic, it's not very crowded so it's perfect

  • L Almassy

Nice green patch next to a busy road, it has great grass , ideal to play football , unfortunately goals missing net. And there are some crazy young people hanging around time to time :) . This park has potential but city is not doing much to improve , only a little maintenance going into it

  • Sylvia McLoughlin

lovely park in the middle of the city. If you want to go for a run (Park Run every Saturday morning) or bring the kids to the playground or simply have a picnic. There are a few pitches there, soccer, GAA & rugby and you might see Quidditch being played there too!

  • Noel creedy

Great place. Morning walks. To let the dog of for a run. Meet nice people on the way they redone the playground for the kids my grandson 4 year old loves the place really nice park. To catch the wildlife. Amature photographers enjoy this place for the wildlife

  • Glenn Strong

Nice park, if a bit plan (mostly just playing fields or open grassy areas. There are a few nice plantings, but they are the exception). Good playground for kids and some nice tree-lined walks. Not that savoury once it gets dark, better enjoyed during the day.

  • Brenda Perez B.

A great place for spend time with family, friends or your partner. You can have a quiet walks around the park, do exercise, running, riding bicycle. There are a coffee shop and food trucks inside. The park is full of vegetation, is really calm and relaxing.

  • Mark Finnegan

Nice spacious park, several sports fields, plus skate park, various bits of art and lots of green space and trees. Nasty reputation as a place to avoid after dark though, due to the ease of hidden violence. Somewhat lacking in basic facilities.

  • Gen Costello

A lovely park. Well utilised during covid with small skate park, a playground, plenty of football pitches, just 1 basketball court. A tennis court would be great. Plenty of benches. Beautiful tree Avenue with a fairy village. Great for all ages

  • Slobodan Vudrag

Nice and spacious park for any daytime relaxation or sport activities , several football fields, basketball, skate park, playground for kids, walking paths, cycling track, all you need in one place, there could be a few more beaches for resting

  • Mark Creighton

Great spot in the summer lots of lovely choices of where to place your towel. good play grounds for the children and a super skate park for the skateboarders and much more plants and trees to enjoy .What else do u want for a public park

  • Robin Roberts

Council need to take the litter and vandalism in this park a little more seriously. Every time I go there the green spaces are awash with plastic, glass bottles, baggies. The kids park got some attention recently which is great but still

  • Aurélie lacalle

Common public Park, a lot of space to enjoy sun with your friend or your family Over a pic - nic. Nice place to walk your dog or cycle with your children as it's quite flat. You can also play sport like football because there are ptiches.

  • Sabrina Letieri

Beautiful place. The park has benches to sit and admire the scenery. There is also a part day toilet which makes a big difference as it is rare here in Dublin. Access is easy and there are snack bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby.

  • Conor Malone

A great amenity close to the city centre. The park is easy to access and has attractions for all the family. It is generally well kept although parts of it are under construction. Some areas do not feel safe, particularly in the evening.

  • padraig quirke

Great spot for concerts. Easy to access and great sound. Only 10 min walk from connelly station luis stop. Loads of stalls in the park for food and drink. Bus stops also close. Deffo would be back here again for a live performance.

Nice little park for any day really. Playground basketball football and even gaa pitches. But plenty of grass for a kick about. Me and the young lad usually go down for basketball or a kick about and we always have good fun

  • Peculiar Groove

It's a lovely park, big, lots of football pitches, gaa pitches, good play ground and skate park. Great place to jog. It gets ruined by a handful of scum from the surrounding areas. Rubbish everywhere, empty beer cans etc

  • Patrick Rooney

Nice park, not too much to it, nice playground for the kids, some football pitches and a large green for running around or just chilling out on of the weather is good, no toilets but close to a number of shops and pubs.

  • pricia R

Lots of play grounds for kids and pitches to play ball. Trails are also interesting and well manicured though sometimes there are bottles and rubbish littered everywhere, which is no biggie to me but a fact nonetheless.

  • Georgi Dimitrov

A quiet place that's perfect for recreation, rest and sports. And it's very green and beautiful as well as well maintained. Another plus is it's not too far from nor too close to downtown (heavy traffic). I loved it.

  • Yuribeth Contreras Nino
