I’m quite squeamish about going to the dentist for a variety of reasons and since I’ve been going to Dr. Gus and Monica and Ron my dental life is immeasurably more joyous and I actually look forward to every visit. I’m someone who needs a lot of dental help and so I’ve been a part of several treatments, in both offices, and it’s always been pure charm. The staff is excellent, there’s no other way to put this. Everyone is caring to the point of going well out of their way to help. Without going into too many gnarly details about my dental background and why I have so many visits to think back on, please know, you are in exceptionally caring hands and you may even be relieved of fears you had about dentists and the experiences you’ve had in the past. I’m endlessly grateful for everyone giving me more than enough time for treatments, questions, after care, reminders about upcoming appointments... I can’t imagine a more kind and thoughtful team. The team is what every dental practice should aspire to.

This dental clinic is the best! I had a lot of anxiety going to the dentist, in fact, I had not gone in many many years due in part to anxiety. This January I had made it my resolution for the year and initially chose them because of their rating, location, and the fact they dealt directly with my insurance. From the moment I walked in everyone was great and was super friendly. Dr. Bui and Hwer were amazing, in fact, Hwer held my hand for the freezing part of the dental work and in my last appointment, I didn't even feel the needle. I had a lot of work done, but they were really efficient, I could easily book around my work schedule. It is strange to say but I am a little sad that I won't be seeing them for a while. This entire team was so kind and thoughtful, they made me feel at ease right from the start. I cannot recommend this dentist enough! Oh, and did I mention, I didn't have to deal with my insurance at all!

I had such an incredible experience at this dentist this morning! I have been experiencing such bad tooth pain, as well as broke a tooth and have not been to a dentist in ottawa before as I moved from Vancouver a couple months ago. Not only could they fit me in the same day but within 30 minutes of my phone call, but they also managed to treat my painful tooth effectively and within the same emergency appointment. I have really bad anxiety and the dentist and assistants were extremly sweet, caring and gentle and even provided a lot of support that I have never received from a dentist before I am overall extremely thrilled with how much genuine kind respect I received as well as they had no hesitation to call me by my preferred name and pronouns and thrilled with the treatment and procedures. I am so happy I came here! I initially decided on Family Dental Care-Ottawa because of the location and the fact that they do direct billing. I totally lucked out by receiving the best care from Hwer and Dr. Bui. I can get pretty bad anxiety about clinical settings. Especially after my dad passed away in the ICU this summer. The patient intake form allows you to specify (if your would like) any mental or physical conditions which allows them to give you the best care and they actually take time to review it. I hadn't been to the dentist in 10 years and had some very pressing issues to deal with. They contiually checked in on to me ensure I was doing okay and I truly felt safe and secure. Not to mention they were very talanted, nice, funny and worked perfectly in tandem. The front desk staff were lovely too! It's weird to say but I feel almost happy to be returning for some more work in a few weeks!

First of all, I'm absolutely mortified of the dentist. But I was in so much pain I went anyway. Front end staff were INCREDIBLE, extremely knowledgeable and even printed off coloring pages for my kids to entertain them, the man done everything he could to make sure as much as possible was covered by insurance, every single staff member went above and beyond. Dental assistant basically stopped me having a full blown panic attack while I was being frozen. She was extremely calm and soothing. The dentist was by far the best I've ever come across. He was very reassuring and so kind. He actually froze me properly and thoroughly so I felt absolutely nothing during the procedure, I trusted him. Direct billing made it super affordable upfront. The interior is clean and tidy and I will never go to any other dentist ever. THANK YOU!!!

I am so lucky and grateful to be a patient at this clinic. I first came here months ago due to an emergency. I had not been been to a dentist in many years and I was extremely anxious and feeling so much shame and embarrassment. The staff were genuinely kind and gentle and they were very generous and accommodating to my financial situation at the time. I went back to them as soon as I got dental coverage and every single staff interaction has been exceptional. Zoe (Reception), Maya (Hygienist), Heer and Mariale (Assistants), and Dr. Bui, each of them made an experience that I was truly terrified of feel like I was coming to see people who cared. My next visit is in six months and I teared up telling Dr. Bui how much their kindness meant. A dream team if there ever was one.

This clinic is a 10/10. I called them when I was having an emergency dental issue and it resulted in the overdue extraction of my wisdom teeth. Dr. Bui instilled me with confidence from the moment I met him. He cares personally about every patient under his care. The first time I called was Boxing Day and he picked up the phone himself and scheduled me in to see him, when all other clinics were closed or on holidays. The reception staff and the dental hygienists treat you like apart of the team, they answered every single question I had and made sure I was well equipped before making any decisions. They cared so much about how myself and my wife and went to great lengths to support us. Highly recommend you try them out if you’re looking for a dentist!

It's been a few years since I've gone to the dentist. Last time I went I had a bad experience so I was hesitant. But I needed and tooth extracted and Dr Gustavo and his team made me feel comfortable and went through everything with me very thoroughly. Ron is an incredible receptionist and I'm happy that I have found a new dental place. Update: I've been seeing Dr. Bui now and he is so patient and wonderful. He takes the time to discuss whatever situation you are in and it's very reassuring. The whole team makes sure you are comfortable and I find that is important since sometimes visiting the dentist can cause some anxiety. Great reception from Zoe and appreciate the follow up to make sure if you are okay. Overall, great team and I would recommend it.

Visited 3 different dentists. I had one of my molars causing me 10/10 pain. I was referred to a specialist because my tooth would've been too difficult to remove. Sent me for a pile of xrays, wasting my dental benefits and the end result was basically "give him pain meds". I called this dentist at 9am, had an appointment set up early afternoon the same day. I walked in, they took a few xrays and offered me different options. They froze my gums, extracted my tooth because it's what I wanted with no issues. This is the best dentist I've ever been to. They also offer direct billing..I highly recommend them. The staff was 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Procedure itself 10/10. Cost 10/10. I'll be bringing my kids here soon. I refuse to go anywhere else now.

Why can’t I give more than 5 stars!! Ohhh boy where do I start!! The amazing hygienist Maya was wonderful! She was so calming during what is normally a very high stress time for me. She explained so many things that I truly never understood before. We think brush and floss and you should be good. NOPE! She explained how to properly brush, how to properly floss and how important these things are to be done in the correct fashion. She did it with such calmness and did not judge me for not knowing that it wasn’t as simple as just brush and floss. She had such a calm voice that I felt no stress. The girl at the front desk Zoe was absolutely lovely too!! Just so warm and welcoming!! I will be back and have already referred many friends.

Excellent! Everyone at this location are so great! It has direct billing which makes things incredibly affordable right away. Not only that, but I was about to reschedual an appointement due to not getting my pay yet and the receptionist said "No worries, just pay us back whenever you can." How awesome is that!? I also realized that my previous dental institution tried to scam me as they said I had 4 BAD cavities that needed filling ASAP (This was 3 years ago) and I truly only need 2 fillings right now. They're also super honest! The only downfall is the parking downtown, but I don't mind at all paying a bit extra for that when they offer such great service. Recommend them to all! Good job :)

Amazing service and care! They took me in for a dental emergency during the holidays and have been my preferred dental clinic ever since. They are lovely on the phone and are super organized. They have a really cool booking system that automatically reminds you of your appointment. Liz, the dental hygienist is by far the best at what she does. Super gentle, kind and considerate. Is it weird to say I had fun at the dentist? Dr. Bui, is super skilled and has awesome bedside manners. Funny, patient and knowledgeable, he will expertly guide you through the process of obtaining your dental goals. Overall a great place for all your dental needs.

By far one of the best dental clinics I have ever been to. They always greet me when I enter, and I never wait more than a few minutes. The dental hygienist are so professional and courteous and always take their time and are understanding. The dentist is just as amazing and knowledgable. If they are unable to perform a certain service, they refer me out. Also they help me handle my insurance, which is fantastic since I find it very complicated and they make the process so easy for me. I Recommend this place if you are looking for amazing service and professionalism. Always a pleasure to attend a dentist appointment.

I called this morning I’m so much pain, they told me come in right away they will at least freeze me until they could see me and asked I be patient. I went filled in forms and two minutes later they saw me took my picture, exam, and within 30 minutes my tooth was out. Dr. Bui and the amazing assistant were SO great, beyond caring, and knew I was nervous but they went above for me. Highly recommend. Once I get on my insurance/benefits I will be back to get the rest of the work I need done by him.

I had a great experience past Wednesday. From scheduling my appointment with Heer, and being guided through the service by Zainab. Since my arrival, I felt welcomed and comfortable. And I am a person who is afraid of dentists, but not this time. Dr. Bui explained everything to me and made me feel safe about my treatment. I love the team at the downtown Family Dental Care clinic. Reception takes the time to get to know you and is very fast and efficient setting up your documents and direct billing. The staff is all around 10/10 and they take the time to educate you every step of the way. I took my toddler here recently for his very first dentist visit. And omg I was blown away by how nice everyone was. The front people were very indulgent of my little one. The dental hygienist and the dentist were all so so patient with him (even more than I would have been!). He didn't cry at all and left with a toy. This was the ideal first dental experience for him and I am so glad I took him here.

Had some fillings done with dr. Acevedo recently. Very friendly professional, and efficient- fixed a minor cosmetic issue with my front tooth at the same time, which was very kind. Front desk staff are helpful and welcoming. Teeth cleaning is a little slower because of new Covid restrictions, so budget time accordingly. My teeth are very happy now!

Over the phone they told me that 1 hour is good for cleaning , i went at 1:50 , and still the hygenist said that she doesn't have time to clean my top teeth, she just cleaned the bottom. I was like but i had an appointment I cannot leave without cleaning the whole teeth. I will never go there again.

Went here on the recommendation of a friend and I'm glad I did! I was unable to see a dentist for 10 years prior to this, so I was pretty nervous, but the entire team made my experience great and very comfortable!
