The owner is an expert when it comes to the health and knowledge of hedgehogs, breeding and hoglets. He's he's one of the few FDA approved breeders in the United States which requires serious credentials that he has. His knowledge even extends to information regarding illnesses like whs which is wobbling hedgehog syndrome. His knowledge also includes networking with local veterinarians, foster care, facilities Etc. It's not like you're buying an animal that's it you're stuck with... a pet that you're unfamiliar with, trying to care for with insufficient information, and yet you're stuck with. YouTube can't provide you with the complete information that you need to properly care for an exotic pet like this so as to be anle to enjoy it! They are delightful to love and low maintenance to maintain! Aside from the fact that there's as cute as they could be! He's answered many questions for me during time after the shop had closed. and called me back outside of business hours without a complaint. His store includes a lot of extra goodies like, toys, carrier's, playpens, toys, fleece snuggle hides plus the basics like bedding, food, live mealworms, cages, running excersize wheels, food dishes, water bottles and sleeping huts. It was impressive to see the computer records of the lineage of the animal I purchased going back six, eight or even ten Generations so that I could see if I purchased a pinto from him, how did that type of hedgy end up looking that way? It was obvious that he kept meticulous records showing the parents and grandparents Etc that produced the hedgie that I purchased. It proved to me that the shop, although it's small, is top-notch as far as being professional with the knowledge they have of the animals they sell and the care they give their animals and how to educate their customers. The biggest surprise is that any other shop that offers so much more than a regular Pet Shop would charge double or triple of what this shop charges for the products or animals that they sell. Other shops hand you an animal and can't tell you squat about their lineage or in-depth information about their maintenance, care and potential illnesses. They've got my vote.. last thing is is that when you purchase an animal from another pet shop, even an exotic pet shop, two or three months down the road your on your own!!! .... if you have questions.. . once you pay your money, you're done. They will sell you food and accessories, of course, but it ends right about there. Not so with this shop!! I can't say enough good things about them and I've been dealing with them for about 6 years.... and yes I have been to other exotic pet stores so I know how to compare them....

I just had to review this one! It's not often that a business impresses me so much, that I feel I must leave a review... but... I have to say how great this place is and how wonderful the owner is. We stopped in yesterday (09/23/2023) to pick out a baby hedgie and put a deposit down. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and takes his time to answer all questions and concerns. Being you have to make an appointment, makes this so much easier. You don't have to vie for attention like you do in other stores. Plus, you're talking the the 'man in charge'. Not a random employee who has no clue about what they're selling. It's a no-brainer for me that this is where I'll go for all of my future hedgie needs. If you're looking for a new hedgie... this is the place to go! A+++

Last Sunday my daughter and I went to adopt/ rescue her first hedgehog. The staff was friendly, and took the time to introduce us to several hedgehogs. He explained in great detail the required care, and provided detailed lineage. It was a great experience. My daughter is super pleased with her new pal, whom I affectionately refer to as ‘Hokey Pokey’. If I keep trying, it might catch on!

So excited that all the new moms and babies are doing well. Looking forward to meeting our little heggie soon, when you say their are ready to adopt. Great communication during the adoption paperwork process. We got our hedgehog 10 days ago, very happy with our little guy. Adoption process was easy, communication was great, everything was explained clearly (process, waiting time, etc.), e-book about hedgehogs was given.
