My experience was a little different. Despite how close it is to my home I would rarely go to Home Hardware until a friend and contractor brought me there. Although I still mostly went to the other "box" stores I would from time to time stop by Home Hardware for smaller items and familiarized myself with it. Recently I had a couple of plumbing issues and went to one of the other box stores where a customer service woman finished helping a man and then helped me. Unfortunately her help included a long tale complaining about how much the male customer she just helped didn't know about plumbing and how much her husband did. Why would she talk about a customer that way? And why do I care about her husband? Needless to say yesterday when I had a plumbing issue I went to Home Hardware instead. Although the cartridge I needed was out of stock the man that was helping me pointed me to another Home Hardware store so off I went. As I was walking through the parking lot he came outside and told me to come back in because he thought he could remedy my problem and after a short time looking for parts he did. It was such a huge relief for me and although this review doesn't sound that impressive, this man whose name I later learned was Lennox was a massive help to me. I didn't have to drive across town searching because HE continued thinking about a way to solve MY problem. When most customer service staff at the other box stores wouldn't even think twice about letting me leave Lennox thought about and solved my problem and saved me a lot of time from running around and fixed the cartridge I brought in. Thanks a ton Lennox. You were a huge help. I'll obviously be back.

A nice convenient location to go when you don't feel like going to the bigger box stores. I have been coming here off and on for a few years, and most of the time, I have a satisfactory experience shopping here. An added plus with using scene points. This morning, just before 10, I came in to pick up some rope that I had eyed while shopping a couple of weeks before. I knew exactly where to go and was walking a good pace to the back of the store with confidence heading to the location in the store. What annoyed me was when I heard a man's voice say behind me, "Can I help you?" I did not react because I thought he was talking to the female associate a few aisles ahead of me. Then I heard him again saying, "Can I help you, sir?" I immediately turned around and realized that the older gentleman wearing a mask was talking to me. I shrugged my shoulders and said back to him, "Um, no!" ‍♂️ This is the most annoying thing about my shopping experiences wherever I go! If I look lost and can't find an item, then sometimes it is much appreciated, but this associate failed to notice that I did not make eye contact when walking in the store and did not see him while I was walking to the rope and chain aisle. This person needs to be educated on proper etiquette on how to approach customers because this type of behavior can push away customers, especially when they know where to go pick up their items. I hope that my next experience will not be as bad!

I shop at this store every week. Since the Canadian tire store closed in the neighborhood, this store's business has picked up many folds. They also have Reverse Osmosis water fill station. This store has been around for decades. Staff is friendly and very helpful. You can go with questions about different products and the staff will be happy to answer and assist you. I believe they also do price match with competitors like Lowes or Home depot for similar products. Lennox is my go to guy when I have queries for any product and he exactly know where all the products are placed and he is very knowledgeable. Most of the times, he is looking out for customers and comes over asking the customers if he can be of any help. To me that's a top notch customer service. This kind of service is rare if we were to go to a box store.

We had to stop in here today to pick up some items & can I just say, the staff and patrons are some of the sweetest of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They were very friendly to both Ares and I and would stop to say Hi or ask to provide assistance multiple times during our quick visit. Such patient people especially having a rambunctious pup in there walking around! Ares didn't want to leave the kind team of ladies! So we stopped to pose with our bag of goodies, a treat in Ares tummy & big smiles on both our faces! Will be back again

I was at this location on Saturday July 22 hoping to speak to someone about a plumbing issue. After explaining my dilemma to the plumbing associate he immediately retrieved the parts needed and assembled them on the ground so I had a visual. He was very professional and knowledgeable and I left feeling confident I would be able to complete my project. Thank you for your customer service and professionalism. To the elder lady working in the isle with the garbage can’s not 10 minutes ago that i asked for help to get the deadbolt’s out of the locked in cage try rolling your eyes away from the customer when they ask for help next time. Thank you to the kind cashier that made my mood after that just a bit better.

Had to go in today to grab some soil for winter sowing and was proactively helped by a gentleman working the floor. Glad their online stock tracking matches what they have in store! The cashier could have been friendlier with some sort of a greeting but overall still a good experience.

Such a useful hardware store, with friendly, knowledgeable, and always present staff members. Much less overwhelming than some of the bigger hardware stores, and they always have pretty much anything I need for small home projects and things like paint, gardening, canning, etc!
