Very disappointed, the worst customer service have encountered. I put an order in online 4 weeks ago, the ordering system let me know it could take 1-15 days till pick-up is available. Two weeks later I phoned the store and left a message asking for an update, heard nothing back. another week later I phoned the head office order support phone line, I was old the issue would be looked into and I would receive a phone call to let me know. ... The next week I tried the calling Weeks Dundas again... Only then was I told that "The online ordering system is too complicated, all online orders have been canceled". Too complicated? No one was able to let me know this sooner, I I could have moved on and made my order elsewhere? So incredible rude, unbelievable. I do not intend dealing with Home Hardware ever again.

Very poor customer service. I had two issues with them. One with no apologies blamed on cash register that sales items were not discounted. Last issue went to buy an air cooler advertised in flyer claimed sold out two days after I got flyer. Ordered two told would be in that next Wednesday no problem. Went in the Thursday told back ordered. No phone call took an hour of my time driving back and forth. Never an update. Went to Brantford location they told me they sold last ones two weeks after I came to Dundas store ( Dundas had called this location told me out of stock ) Brantford took the time to look up informed me no more orders for the season. They felt bad and said sorry. For small hardware stores to exist it’s all about customer service. Unfortunately I didn’t get it ! No more going to weeks.

I came in to purchase a storing tote for my xmas tree which was on sale. I tried to locate the product first but couldn't find it. So I waited for a staff member to assist me. When he came he told me it should be in tge other room. As we walked to the other room a gentlemen said hello to the guy. He then pointed from the entrance that it was right there. He stopped and started talking to the guy. So I looked at were he was pointing and it was on a shelf about 8ft off the ground. How was I going to get it. He didn't offer anymore help and continured talking to that gentleman. I said forget it I'm not making my purchase here and I left.

Was into the Dundas Home Hardware location today. I had previously bought paint at the Waterdown location. Unfortunately the paint did not prove to be the colour I was striving for once it was applied. The young lady who served me at the paint counter went above and beyond normal customer service. I should have asked her name or looked for a name tag. She managed to dramatically improve the colour of my original can of paint. At the same time we had a great conversation about the merits of various cell phones and steered me in the right direction for the purchase of my next phone. Thank you again for making my day more pleasant.

DO NOT PUT IN AN ONLINE ORDER WITH THIS STORE.THEY TAKE ZERO RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOST ORDERS THEY BLAME A THIRD PARTY FOR LOSING MY ORDER EVEN THOUGH IT LEFT THEIR WAREHOUSE 3 WEEKS AGO .THE MANAGEMENT NEVER CALLED ME ABOUT THE LOST ORDER I HAVE CONSTANTLY CALLED THEM FOR UPDATES AND IT WAS ALWAYS ON THE TRUCK NOT SO THEY FORGET IT SAYS HOME HARDWARE ON THE SIGN OUTSIDE THE STORE SO MY PROBLEM IS THEIR PROBLEM WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT. I WILL BE DRIVING TO UPPER GAGE FROM NOW ON AS THEY KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS

I was there just after 1pm today. I went and stood in front of 2 employee's who were at a desk. Not one of them lifted there head to offer me any assistance. I waited walked away looked for item myself. Did not have it. Point I am making is if you both had taken the time to make me feel relevant. I probably would have made a 100$ or more purchase. A simple hi what can I help you with! Would have made my day. They are a small business you would think they would be kind to their customers. You lost out BIG TIME!

a little bit disappointing. I came in looking for a particular component and they didn't have it. They said the only place to get it was another store I won't name over in Burlington. So I took them at their word drove over to Burlington and found out that the store was completely inappropriate for the item I was looking for. Call it a mistake; call it lying because someone wanted to look knowledgeable. Whatever you call it, it was a wasted trip, including gas and time. Just say "I don't know" next time...

Love the store and the people working there but if you want something from the store now while it is pick up only, I would recommend just calling the store and order it directly from them. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE WEBSITE!!! It takes way too long to get what you order. I ordered items that the website said the store had and have still not received them after 1.5 weeks. The items ordered do not come from the store but from a wear-house someplace. The store is just the distribution centre.

My wife was walking to the bank at the Fundas plazza so I asked her to get trimmer line for our weed Waker. She stood outside and tried to call the store.NO ANSWER . TWICE SHE TRIED.The gorl came out and told her to keep calling You mean to tell me she couldn't get the trimmer line and complete the sale.They sell this item on amazon.don't blame anybody when small business fails

Very rude and unexpected behavior from young salesperson today. Did not understand why she reacted in such an abrupt manner when it was noted that the price charged did not align with their advertised sale price. A polite apology and quick correction would suffice but not a tongue lashing in the presence of other customers. Very inappropriate and reflects poorly on the store.

The weekday staff (other than cashiers) are quite knowledgeable. Very eager to help you, and it's obvious the store does not have much employee turnover. The staff in the various departments seem to have been there many years. We're there regularly buying different products and parts for our rental properties. Definitely better than your average hardware store.

I was in Nov 1 just after noon and needed a plumbing part. Don't be fooled by the small size of the store, they are exceptionally well stocked. They had the part (Canadian Tire although much larger, did not). The two gentleman who assisted me went to great lengths to make sure I got exactly what I need. Their customer service is always impressive. Thanks.

I prefer them over some big box stores because they are locally owned and that means your money stays in the country. While some products are not the best quality they are pretty helpful and get the best customer srevice they can. If they don't have it on the shelves their webpage most likely do. Just order, wait couple days and pick it up in store.

As a young guy building my property management/maintenance company I'd often come in seeking advice as much as the materials I needed to get a job done. Small locally-owned store with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. If you want a much bigger selection, try the Waterdown Home Hardware. If you want quick access to hardware items and attentive customer service and are willing to take a rain cheque on those occasions where they don't have exactly what you need, this location is fine.

Pretty good selection with extremely knowledgable and hands-on staff (the mid-40s female cashier knew more about plumbing than most handymen I've met). The two slight downsides are that the store is quite small and they aren't always able to ship stuff from other stores to here. Still a good place overall though.

Great store with a wide variety of stuff. Amazing staff who sent me to the exact location of the plumbing bits I needed and helped me select the right item. Clean, friendly and we'll stocked. Reminded me of the old timey hardware stores of youth. So much better than the big box places!!

My preferred "for all your needs" shopping, The Dundas Store has mostly friendly staff, only one is crabby but, otherwise where I always start my shopping, and MOST of the time, I can find what I need. Actually 4.5 stars......

I know nothing about plumbing and when I came in with a basic question I received great customer service. They took time to explain to me some plumbing basics and their recommendation for how to best address my issue. Thanks

I like our Home Hardware! The staff are helpful and friendly. So many gift items, I can always find a special gift for someone. I get keys cut here, pest control items, paint, floor polish. They have it all!

I came in after closing with a huge list of like 10 things. George was amazing and he was basically my personal shopper and he literally ran through the store grabbing all my stuff. Thanks buddy!

They have ZERO interest in answering the phone and selling items during the pandemic. Very unprofessional customer service. I bought the item on Amazon and will NEVER shop there again.

In many ways, this is a typical Home Hardware: very helpful and friendly staff; good selection without being overwhelming; very competitive prices.

This is my goto place for any tools and home supplies. There is always someone available to give you the "expert advice" as advertised.
