The food is usually pretty good, it's just the lines for drive thru. If you have a car or two in front you can be there for about 20 min or longer. Update 9/8/19 So went today for a late dinner around 8:30 to get some carne asada fries w/ salsa guacamole and sour cream. I love this dish. Well you ask why I give it two stars then if the food is good. Well this late dinner turned to be a disappointment.. When I got home I couldn't wait to get to these carne asada fries. Opened it up started to mix everything and noticed no meat in my fries. I took pictures of the food to show there was no meat.Well I was hungry and didn't plan on leaving the house any time soon. So I ate it without the meat. I decided to call and let them know the situation. I called 10 times for 20 min. Never an answer machine just some random thing saying put in a number. So later that night my husband had to put gas before the next day so I said can we stop by the filibertos and let them know what happened. He said we could. Mind you it is about 3 hours later. Had the receipt had picture but they couldn't do anything with out the food they said. So was very disappointed that I paid 11 something for care asada fries without meat. I would have been satisfied with a discount for not getting my meat. But I guess they don't care about there customers

Quality of the food is lacking. We moved to Laveen in February. We go here about 3-4 times per week. We have a family of 4 so we spend allot of money here on a weekly basis and my favorite is the carne asada fries. They have always been great but the last dozen times we have come here they have gone down hill and everytime it's the same, the fries are completely raw. They are completely undercooked. I have brought this up multiple times when we go back and they always tell me, 'oh not these cooks, they will be good tonight, these cooks are good, must be the other cooks'. I have never asked for anything free I just have always made them aware hoping they would cook them all the way threw but it still comes out raw, including tonight. I am done coming here as they can't seem to get the easiest meal right. I am only giving them 1 star because the rest of there food is great, but they can't seem to cook fries properly, the easiest thing to cook

I LOVE Mexican food and so when I saw the long line at Filiberto's, I went. The chorizo burrito was so greasy, I didn't want to eat it in my car (which is one of the reasons I get fast food). I also didn't really finish the burrito because it was so greasy. This was about 3.5 years ago when we moved to Laveen. My husband was craving tacos, so we decided to give it another chance recently. We ordered chicken tacos and the meat did not taste like chicken or any other meat. We ended up feeding the rest to our dogs because we couldn't eat it and getting food somewhere else. Even our dogs did not want to eat the food. I'm not sure why there is always a line at Filiberto's because both of our experiences have not been good. I wanted to give it another chance because I see so many people like it, but I don't want to waste my money. So, I just end up going to Taco Bell or Jack in the Box when I want quick tacos now.

Went tonight with my husband and got a bean burrito. I ate a 1/4 of the burrito when I felt something hard when I bit into it. I started to chew thinking maybe it I imagined it it so I chewed to find it thinking maybe a fish bone fell in. I pulled out of my mouth a thin thing covered in beans to only realize it is metal. I don’t even know what it would have come from. A Bobby pin? A grill brush? Either way it’s a safety hazard and the restaurant needs to toss out everything clean sanitize and inspect all cookware and storage before making new food. I’m super disappointed and we won’t return. I will literally drive the distance to eat Mexican in a place safe for customers.

So we just came to order some food. All 3 workers were eating dinner on the tables, even the cook was eating on the back , all at the same time took their dinner brake. They all looked at us stand in line for 5 minutes and kept eating. Not a single one even bothered to say something or attempt to help. After a while standing in line we all decided to leave. After we got in our cars all 3 workers out front finally finished their meals and started to clear their tables but still would not get back to work. Needless to say first and last time I ever attempt a visit to this place. It smelled horrible, it was filthy and the trash all around it was despicable. Good riddance!!!

I write honest reviews and I've held off on this one because I didn't want it to be bad, however, this location had given me horrible good on three separate occasions. First time, they put an El Gordo in a paper bag that was so greasy that it leaked through before I even got home and ruined my clothes (I was wearing white so no salvaging)! Second, ordered cowboy fries, the fries are burnt and the amount of chicken was completely short considering the price. Lastly, the shrimp quesadilla that I ordered tonight had about 5 shrimp total, for $10+ !?!? That's just enough ! I'm done, I guess I'll drive the extra 5 minutes to go to Federico's!

Well, the food's been good lately, but where's the salsa? First, I get only 2 cups of salsa for 5 rolled tacos, and now this morning, NO salsa! Come on. You guys are stingy with the salsa like it's personally coming out of your checks. You know better than that. EDIT: here I am a month later to give yall another shot. I ordered a carne asada burrito (you know, carne, pico, guacamole) and I got carne asada, eggs and cheese instead. I ate it anyway because it was actually really good, but yall gotta start listening. Seriously. By the way, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for giving me salsa this time!

I want to give it no stars. Really disappointed I used to come here all the time but ever since I started to come on the weekends the food quality has declined. I gave it a rest for about two months. Went back today and ordered carnitas. It literally tasted like they added half a bottle of salt. I couldn’t believe they would even serve food like this. We will not be going back here. Very disappointed because the people in the drive thru are always nice to me and take care of my order. But this is too much. I literally have a headache from how salty even a couple bites were. A waste of my money!

I was there yesterday for Taco Tuesday. I wish I had went to the filiberto's I always go to on 32nd st Baseline. The chicken Tacos were gross. The shells were cooked in bad oil. The chicken didn't taste like chicken. It taste bad. The rice was very salty. The salsa bar is gross. That salsa was gross Customer service sucks. I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN. I SHOULD HAVE NOTICE BY HOW EMPTY IT WAS THAT IT WAS A BAD CHOICE TO GO THERE. If you want good Mexican food don't go there. I hope the health department shut them down. I wish I could give them NO STARS!!!

Been here before and things were just ok. This time I ordered 2 tostadas to go and they piled them on top of each other in one box. What a mess! Also, I asked for some red sauce and they couldn't give me a couple of the ones the lady was prefilling right in front of me. She told me to go to the salsa bar. This place is a total rip-off. I keep making the mistake of going back only to get the same thing done to me every time. I ordered a ground beef chimichanga and what do I get a chimichanga full of tomatoes onions and peppers which I specifically asked not to have and not even a tablespoon full of meat and it wasn't even the right kind of meat. They don't answer the phone and they are unwilling to correct it orders the lady who takes the orders is mean and nasty and doesn't give a s*** what you order. 10 bucks for garbage.

Ordered via Grubhub. Order was delivered and some of it missing. Was still pretty good natured about it and tried to call. Ring no answer 15 mins later after multiple attempts. Meanwhile I finally figured andout how to request a refund via the app. Finally they answered the the phone and the response was "We gave you a refund, we are really busy." Hello? I would have waited a bit longer to get the missing items. News flash: This virus situation isn't going to be around forever. You've lost a regular customer.

This location usually sucks but decided to give it another chance thinking they will get better with the quality of food. Nope! Wasted $15 dollars on hard rice 4 rolled tacos and tasteless beans! Ordered a carne asada burrito and it wasn't even carne asada tasted like they just boiled the meat it was pale and no flavor. I ended up just throwing away 3/4 of the burrito.My daughters quesadilla had grease dripping down and had to dab it with a paper towel to get some off. Don't recommend this place. I have gave it a try three times thinking cook must of just had bad day but nope still the same bad experience. Also, the person who hands the food at the window is not friendly. Always looks annoyed.

This is a California burrito. French fries were bad, cheese I think was located at the all of the bottom because they might be rationing the last of the meat and speaking of meat meat of course feels like it’s in soup water all day (soggy). The lady who usually works in the am has a horrible attitude. She is always so rude for absolutely no reason. It's disgusting, makes you not even want to order from there. Really good food, large portions, I've been there several times, consistent good quality. Good for takeout. Prices are decent. Lots on the menu. I've had dishes with chicken and they did not leave in any fat, bones or grizzle(?) which is nice. I'm not an expert on Mexican food but if you want fast service, home made feel, well seasoned, something for everybody on the menu, check them o ut.

I am not sure what happened but this location I have went to multiple times to try different things so I can see if it was actually just certain dishes. However literally everything I have tried over the last month or so has been not good. From no flavor to hardly any meat or guacamole. Super hard tortilla. I didn't even think you could mess up a quesadilla. I haven't ever had Filibertos that tastes like this one. I will make the drive somewhere else from now on.

I’d give no stars if I could. I ordered breakfast burritos from here and found egg shells in our food. Went back and told them what I found. They showed no concern whatsoever! This used to be one of my fave places to eat, but in the recent times that I have been here they are only worried about charging their customers more than getting the actual order correct. Today they misunderstood me and when I pointed out they overcharged me they wouldn't give back the full amount because they said they needed it for another part of my order. Super disappointed and the only reason I gave them 2 stars is the food is still decent.

SHRINKFLATION STRIKES AGAIN!!! Burritos are the smallest I've ever seen at a taco shop and almost $11.00. ***In economics, shrinkflation, also known as the grocery shrink ray, deflation, or package downsizing, is the process of items shrinking in size or quantity, or even sometimes reformulating or reducing quality, while their prices remain the same or increase. The word is a portmanteau of the words shrink and inflation.

The girl over the counter should not be working with the public. Twisted her eyes at me when I asked for my cup for my drink. Then went to the back and ignored me. Attitude to it's fullest. Was there 2 minutes and this is what they serve. An attitude comes first then they take their time with the food. If they don't like you I guess. I wouldn't even give them a one star if I had a choice. Problem there is ATTITUDE.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The place looks gross. The workers don’t care. They forgot my entire order. Had to wait 10 mins for them to make it. They forgot my drink and I had to go back just to get a flat drink. The worst would be the smell of the food. My car smells spoiled. The food looked bad and smelled even worse. This particular location gets 5 stars from me. After an extremely long night at the ED with one of my kids I stopped here for a bite to eat. As the window employee handed me my drink he asked me to try it really quick because he wanted to make sure it tasted right before I took off. It was either not connected to carbonation or it needed a new bag. When you're exhausted this simple act really makes a difference

The food is overpriced for what you get in quality, and portion. We got skimped on the carne asada on the nachos. The salsa lacked flavor, it looked and tasted as if it was watered down. I understand this is not a “steakhouse” restaurant, by far, however, the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. Therefore in my personal opinion, save yourself the money and disappointment, it’s just not worth it.

Quality control is very much lacking! No wonder why they had all those signs about refunds and comment contact numbers. A long wait for yes, hot food but very poor quality. Burrito wasn’t even wrapped and had a big hole just horrible(burnt tortilla that just melts flaking in you) ! The kid’s meal wasn’t even cut, fries had no salt and churro was sugarless?? Literally a waste of money, now I know not to return!

I have been to a lot of Mexican fast foot chains that are privately owned and this one has to be bad. The rice is hard, the beans are good and the fries are bad looks and tastes re fried. The fish tacos are horrible. The fish is hard and the sauce is great. The service is okay nothing to brag about and the prices are high. I was not treated bad at all but I just have to be honest the food is bad.

The quality of the food is terrible. I ordered a carne asada burrito with no pico de gallo add beans. I got a burrito that was dry as hell had no beans. I do not recommend this filibertos location to anyone. I had to take my burrito back because it was made wrong and the meat was dry. So I asked for a refund I paid $9.93 but only got back $8.83. Do not go to this restaurant ever!!!!! Ever!!!!

Ordered the CHILI RELLENOS and to my disappointment they served me cold food . Took the food back to the lady working the register and she rolled her eyes at me when I complained about my food being cold. This staff was unprofessional and rude. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone . We are customers and should be treated with respect and kindness .

I ordered a shredded chicken burrito and got what looks like blended chicken (posting a photo). My food looks like throw up, or baby food. This place sucked the last time I went 2 months ago. I tried it again but nope I will never go back. Someone needs to look into this place and see if they are doing shady stuff by skimping on food.

The best food dining experience in a while. Very casual dining. No dressup, no fake people. Just real food to end the night with. I went to Apple bees Panda, chick FIL a All good places but If u want just you and the certain person or family. This is way better and way more bang for your buck. Amazing place to eat and clean bathrooms.

They gave such a small amount of carne Asada fries compared to the usual amount they give all the time… this is not worth 14 dollars so this small amount. I live too far to go back and get a refund. Not too happy :/

This is the worst filibertos I have ever been to The staff is rude and I'm sure that they are overcharging people and putting money in their own pockets. $14.90 for a breakfast burrito and a Coke. I'm going to be calling the health department on this Is Philip bartos because it's absolutely disgusting.

Just ordered the two tacos and they were cold. Like literally cold. The cheese was still crumbling type cold. More alarming was that the beef on the outside of the taco was dark as if prep fried hours before and then kept at unsafe temperature for who knows how long. Terrible.

Menudo smelled and tasted funky like the meat wasn't washed properly and the meat isn't cut up they give you giant pieces that I had to use my cutting board to cut into regular bite size pieces and I didn't onions with it. Definitely never buying from this location again.

Flavors ok Chimies have way too much beans. Also, why is every Filbertos so different. Certain locations do way better than others. Must be the individuals working there ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️

Their food is usually very good. They sometimes rush to make it so it's sloppy but hot and flavorful. I think everybody just needs to realize when you order food you got to wait and when you do it should be fresh. There is always something for everyone to enjoy.

I love Filiberto's! It reminds me when I lived in Mexico, To me the taste is very authentic especially the Huevo Rancheros.

The customer service is terrible. The young lady argued with me about over charging me and when I got home the order was all wrong. All in all I was overcharged $7. For stale nachos, under cooked fries, and meat that I didn't order because I don't eat meat.

Drive thru employee this morning was simply rude! Because she read my order back incorrectly. I corrected her. I know sometimes it’s hard to hear. But her attitude made it clear that was not the issue. I don’t want to get all the home and be disappointed.

I ordered 2 menudos. One came essentially with just the broth with little pieces of meat. Usually 2 or 3 people share 1 menudo order. This didn't even feed 1 person. Also they didn't give me a complete order. Place was already bad but not it's just sad.

Worst Filibertos in Phoenix. Ordered 6 tacos and asked for salsa and was given 3. Tacos were burnt with little to no meat and burnt cheese. This location has gotten progressively worse. Go to 35th and Southern instead.

Great breakfast burritos, quick and good service the staff were very friendly, did not wait long at all for order to come out and they gave us more than enough salsa for our burritos. The burritos are massive and packed, they came out hot and fresh.

I normally love Filiberto's and their grilled chicken burrito. Tried this location for the first time and it was horrible. The chicken was EXTREMELY salty. It was also very dry and crunchy like it was overcooked or not fresh.
