Despite having a good location, this station clearly wasn't designed that well. The entrance is far too narrow as you end up getting clogged with people using the ticket office. Neither of the platforms have step free access to the platforms either. Shelter and seating is minimal but at least the trains here are frequent. Most of the time.
Really small station entrance/exit very narrow and can get busy around the ticket office/entrance. There is no disabled access to the platforms only stairs and also no ticket barriers at this station either. Trains from here go to Clapham Junction Stratford and Richmond. These trains are always busy and full with passengers.
Nice and historical place. The station is 100 yards south of the O2 Shopping Centre. It serves the Frognal and South Hampstead areas. It is also a five-minute walk from the Finchley Road & Frognal station on the London Overground's North London Line, and this is marked as an official out-of-system interchange.
A simple overground station and a good one. Very handy for Swiss Cottage, the O2 shopping centre, and approximately a 15 minute walk to Hampstead town from here. There are no lifts, hence 4 stars not 5, for the disabled etc. which is a big shame but I guess there is no space to fit them in.
Simple and efficient. Hidden away on the main road and overshadowed by its busier and far more commercial brother Finchley Road. This will always be the one true Finchley Road station when approaching from the west or from the east.
It's a short walk from Finchley Road to Frognal. You have, up 10 minutes to walk, not stopping for any shopping. Otherwise you might be charged twice for your journey. Frognal is a overground lane, when you travel to other places.
This small but busy overground station is always manned by a ticket office with polite and helpful station staff. What welcome a difference from the majority of overcrowded tube stations where you can never find help anymore.
Tfl... WORST company EVER... collecting £BILLIONS from fairs and NEVER fixing signalling systems properly. Just changing lightbulbs while millions of commuters wait/get late and stress so early in the day.
A nice station that is open air. Although I do think ALL stations should have ticket barriers on London Overground and the DLR. It isn't that far to the Finchley Road underground Station.
There's a reason why vegetable stalls are not outside blocking the entrance to many stations. It sucks. It's hard to catch a train in a rush.
More easy to commute to work and everywhere No hassle and always available space in train during rush hour
There is no lift at this station. All overground stations should have disabled access. Please!!
I love Finchley Road, but the station tends to be busy during Rush Hour.
Buses that stop here are 13,113,N113 Serves the overground line
The entrance is too marry these days for social distancing
Simple design. Good stalls to cover in when it rains.
Good beter than tehameslink
