The star is for the fantastic and hard working movers that work for this company. Other than that I have been very frustrated with the experience. When I contacted them initially, my first question was if they move pianos. My impression from the messages I received (although conflicting and confusing) was that they would, but there would be an additional cost based on size and weight - which was fine and to be expected. When the movers showed up the first thing they told me was that they would not be moving the piano. I had to scramble to find another moving company to move our piano before possession of the house we were leaving. This was stressful and expensive. I have asked several times for the contact information of the manager so that I could express these concerns and share the communication records, but have yet to receive it. I'm sure there are other companies that will serve you better and provide clearer communication. Look elsewhere. Sept 6, 2021: In response to your response - for clarification.... There was a call listed on my phone on the day that you said that you called me, from an unknown number with no message left - so I had no way of knowing that you had called. Also - I will copy and paste some of the email that I received from you on August 18: "We know that moving is a very stressful time for everybody and I apologize for the inconvenience that it imposed on you and your family. In good faith due to the confusion and imposition we would like to reimburse you $120.00 as long as you can change the 1-star review into a 5-star review with a positive message or remove the review. That would be greatly appreciated." This didn't need to happen - I was just hoping to discuss my concerns with someone. I'm leaving my review up.

The entire moving process was seamless from start to finish. Don and his team were extremely professional and courteous, and they took great care of all my belongings. They packed everything into the truck securely and efficiently, ensuring that nothing would be damaged during transit. I was particularly impressed with the communication throughout the move. The team kept me updated every step of the way, from when they would arrive at my home to when they would arrive at the storage location in Calgary, AB. They were always available to answer any questions or concerns I had, which put my mind at ease. When the team arrived at the storage facility in Calgary, they were just as professional and efficient as they were when they packed up my belongings in Winnipeg. They unloaded everything quickly and carefully. Overall, I would highly recommend there long distance moving service from Winnipeg to Calgary to anyone who is looking for a reliable and professional long distance moving company. They truly went above and beyond to make my move as smooth and stress-free as possible, and I am extremely grateful for their excellent service.

I am so thankful for the Fine Homes Services team! They were referred by another moving company and made room in their very busy schedule to accommodate me at the very last minute. I appreciate them for doing that. Most of my belongings were already moved but I managed to find another 10+ bins of "stuff" in my cupboards and basement. I had no time to properly pack the bins so most of them were uncovered. The moving team just got to work (in spite of my chaos) and managed (somehow) to get everything moved into my storage unit. They carefully packed the storage area and I am still amazed at how well they did it! Nothing was bent, damaged (in any way) or broken. They were my knights in shining armour that day and I'm so thankful. I was mentally and physically drained and they brought relief and took the stress out of the day. Outstanding service and attention from start to finish. Booking the reservation was quick and easy. The moving checklist was helpful and comprehensive. Don, Mervin, and Jim arrived on time with a clean, well-organized, fully-equipped truck. They introduced themselves right away, did a thorough review of what was to be done, and got right to work. They worked very well together and communicated effectively between themselves and with me. They took great care with everything. Best moving company !!! We sold our house and hired this moving company hoping everything will go well... and they did not disappoint. Dan and Jim came on time and worked hard to wrap every piece of furniture and move it out of the house . We have solid and heavy furniture and they really worked hard for few hours without making a single scratch on any of my walls. I was a little bit concerned that moving furniture from the upper floor down the stairs could be a problem but Dan and Jim did it like pros. Had two gentleman help my girlfriend move into our new apartment tonight, I had arrived when they were already more than halfway done, they were kind, considerate, and complete monsters when it came to plowing out the work. We gave them a window and they got the work done and I couldn't be happier, you made mine and my girlfriends first home together just that much for stress free, I'm forever grateful to those two gentlemen, they deserve a good rest !

We hired Don and crew to come fix the stippling in our kitchen and to paint the ceiling that runs throughout the kitchen, dining nook and family room. We had taken down our sunshine ceiling and put new led lighting in but the patching and painting of the ceiling was beyond us. They came in and did a great job for a reasonable price. They came when promised, finished the job on time and cleaned up afterwards. They even moved the furniture for us too!

I first would like to stress the Professional and respectful attitude Don and his crew had, Don came in and painted for me in my home. His attention to detail and making sure everything looked perfect before finishing was outstanding and was much appreciated. I would recommend him and most definitely hire him again. They were friendly, efficient, and very caring of our belongings. At one point I even saw the inside of their truck while they were moving items and it was super tidy and organized. Great reliable service I had Don and his crew come in and paint the interior of my home they were very careful not to get any paint on our brand new floors and they did an amazing job. They were finished in a timely manner and cleaned up there mess when they were finished. I am very pleased with the service. Fine Homes Moving did a great job for us, loading a UHaul. They had a lot of narrow stairs to navigate, plus an antique cabinet to protect and load carefully. Very impressed and would hire them again.
