From the moment I stepped in, David at front desk was quite pleasant and got my inquiry and directed me to personal banker THIMARI SEMAGE who took charge immediately. She was highly professional, knowledgeable, personable and friendly to my service dog. Was thorough about the types of accounts available and what each one entailed. We also had small talk about subjects in common. THIMARI is one very bright and career minded individual. My dog Briski took an immediate liking toward her. I opened a Platinum checking account and we all had a delightful time throughout. DAVID and THIMARI are the best part of 1st Citizens Bank. They both really should be management and the face of Citizens Bank. Thanks guys for everything including taking my money. BRISKI approved as well. A solid 5 STARS for this encounter!
Worst banking service ever. They won't let you make a simple deposit without interrogating you. They never even asked for the account number. You don't need 2 forms of ID and a bunch of other BS just so to deposit $50 into an account. Weird. It comes across like they were told their job roles were to push customers away with illogical excuses. With the endless questions they kept asking, what else do you they want? A blood sample? None of their questions seemed relevant to simply make a $50 deposit. The only question they should've asked, which they never asked, was the account # the $50 is being deposited into. They never even took a moment to ask for the account #. Very strange.
This is a great bank branch. I ended up here after moving from the East Coast where First Citizens is much more prominent. The bank has a very good reputation there and this branch really upholds the things I appreciate about the bank as a whole Service is extremely friendly, requests are processed quickly and turnaround is prompt. It's not a high-volume branch so I never have to wait in line and the tellers remember me when I come in month to month. Couldn't recommend this hidden gem more highly.
Banking is one of those experiences that is always transactional. It doesn't have to be. My personal experience has been in dealing directly with Monika Nicolai. Her product knowledge is incredible, whether its a personal checking account or a business line of credit, but her ability to accommodate any need you have is what sets her apart. Having someone like Monika to count on for anything bank related makes you feel good about doing business with her and First Citizens.
These five stars goes strictly to Sandra Valdez! Employee of the bank. Ever since One West she’s always been very helpful, kind and knowledgeable with my every need. First Citizen is very fortunate to have an employee like her working for them. Not too sure I can say the same about the bank itself.
