I joined Fitness Connection before the West location opened but had heard of its opening; so as soon as it did, I was there! I was extremely impressed with its layout, great selection of equipment, women's only training area (because sometimes I like that privacy), cleanliness of the gym floor/equipment and Kids Club! The gym itself, since I joined has had a very steady flow of clients and it has been nice to work out undisturbed on every visit. The team that run this location are extremely welcoming, very knowledgeable, and quick to help if ever there is an issue. As for the kids club, I am very cautious when it comes to leaving my child anywhere, but have been very impressed when I pick her up and she says wonderful things about the staff. I have returned to collect her before and seen the ladies doing arts and crafts with the children, or keeping them engaged in play. I would like to point out two ladies in particular: Clarivel and Sophia! I love these two ladies and so does my little girl. I love the level of security in the gym also! This is something that has come in to question at other gyms like LA Fitness, where there is NONE! I would like to make one suggestion however, which is the cleanliness of the All Gender toilet/shower room on the gym floor. It is not always kept up with, although I know there is a cleaning lady always walking the floor and cleaning. There are more than several occasions I will walk in to find urine around the seat or floor. Perhaps this room would better serve disabled members, limiting abuse of the facility i.e. peeing all over the seat/finding fecal matter all over the bowl and leaving it? Not the most pleasant thing to note, sorry! Otherwise, I love this gym and I am glad I signed up. Great price for everything I get, including the kids club!

Staff was professional and friendly, but they lack the power and authority to do anything about costs, fees, etc., you will be directed to call customer support, but the store manager assured me there was nothing they would do either.

Haven’t joined a gym since the racquetball and fitness days. Then later turned to spectrum gyms which is when I let go of my membership when Golds gym bought them. I joined Fitness connection not knowing anything when it came to machines and did it for the low price and location near wurzbach parkway. I must say at this price I don’t need a pool or a hot tub but having a dry sauna alone is a great feature! Spacious showers and nice layout of gym. Only thing that plaques this industry is the tripods from recording themselves. My question would be more of a legal one. They put them in odd places sometimes u can’t see them smashed into other machines and if someone gets hurt by tripping I would feel the need to wear a camera myself for my own protection. Let’s keep this gym clean for everyone folks! For the price I don’t mind bringing my own basketball, towels and anything I need for myself. Other than that u can pay 15x more where they supply towels and everything else. Better machines than at LA fitness witnessed myself few days ago on a free pass. *update* just read the policies and I think they are great!! Thanks again for keeping us safe with these policies. They close very early (10pm), employees don’t respect privacy, and whenever they delete my review, I will repost it. The bathroom door lock doesn’t work, sometimes there’s no toilet paper, and one day when I was there, an employee named Antony said, ‘Can I take a picture of you for the system?’ I told him, ‘Not now, it’s not a good time. I don’t look/feel well, I just woke up. How about another time?’ He replied, ‘Sure, no problem.’ But then he proceeded to take the photo without my authorization. That invades my privacy. I didn’t say no, I just said it wasn’t a good time. Is it difficult to respect that? The following week, I ran into him and confronted him, asking why he did that. His response was, ‘It’s my job.’ I understand that, but don’t you know what ‘no’ means? I had to tell him that the next time he does the same thing, I will have to handle things myself, the proper way. So, they don’t respect privacy, which is a shame because they have a good team, and other employees are very friendly. Keep improving and train your staff

Meh! It's ok, nothing special. The price is the best thing about it. I signed up for the combo of a cheap price and basketball, but that was a bust. How you gonna have basketball courts and no basketballs LOL. Also who ever decided to build those courts like that needs to be fired. The courts are not even full length or width. The courts have some kind of weird flooring, that isnt standard basketball court flooring. And worst of all, there isn't even 3 point lines lol. Might go back to LA fitness, don't know yet. If you just want a gym to work out at, I guess it's better than planet fitness and cheaper than LA fitness. But the hours might be the worst I've seen from any gym. According to the app, they are closed Sunday, closes at 5 on Saturday, 8 on Friday. Come on, do better. But that's what 10 dollars gets you lol. Should of known it was too good to be true. Definitely get a guest pass before signing up, is my advice.

Just signed up for this gym and cancelled within the next month. Me and my friends didn’t enjoy the non user friendly hours of the gym. Closing at 10 pm has always been an issue for us and we would have kept the membership had the gym been open longer. My friend canceled and payed 99 dollars for the buyout, however when I attempted to cancel my membership the employee attempted to charge me at a significantly higher price until I mentioned my friend and the price was immediately lowered to buyout my membership. There’s a lot of inconsistency with the bring a guest free and passes at the gym. I’m unhappy with my experience here.

Horrible customer service , Fernando and any staff under him need to be re trained immediately! When i explained I wasn’t aware of sign up process because I hadn’t been to a gym where they require your id the GM responded with oh well , now you have. And continued to speak with his employees disregarded me completely. Then when I asked for the Corporate number he gave me a fake number and said if you need to vent here’s the number. It was a fax number. I highly recommend any other gym then this one. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE !

Your money is better used at a planet fitness. This gym has sketchy policies and even on coupons such as bring a friend free are scammed if you don’t read into their policies underlying a coupon, despite what fine print may say on the face of it. Don’t waste your time at this gym, they clearly do not care about their members and will churn you for a buy out price that is outrageously high and annual fees. Don’t be a victim of this company like I was. Their hours are not user friendly either.

Bad customer service on Blanco and west location. On 12/19/23 at 9:00 pm, I went to try out this gym with a day pass, once I was done with my workout I asked the guy working at the front desk about details for membership, but his attitude was not the best. He seemed uninterested and ready to go home.He told me the prices with minimum detail and I asked for further clarification as I did not fully understand. He explained it again but with a bad attitude.

Love it here! Been going for about 4 months now. The staff is always super friendly, there's always a cleaning lady running around keeping the gym and equipment clean, and I love how many machines there are. I go in the mornings and it's never overwhelmingly busy. I also really like that they have a females only section of the gym, it helped me out a lot with my anxiety when I first started here. I had a great PT session with Michael at the Fitness Connection West location. He was very personable, knowledgeable and listened to my areas of concern. I left our session feeling accomplished and fit lol. Now the next morning I definitely felt the burn, but it was a good pain to remind me I put in work. Definitely recommend getting in a few sessions with Mike if you’re looking for a trainer.

My son got a 5 day pass to check out the gym and it’s amenities. The staff have given him a hard time using it for 2 days. I called today and spoke to a club manager who ensured that he wouldn’t have an issue, but it obviously still remains a problem. If they do not want to honor the 5 day pass, then why offer it? It’s unfortunate that customer service is not a focus or even a consideration.

Ended signing up with Crunch Fitness same day right after my fitness connect walk through. The associate who was originally helping me on the walk-through was fine an the Fitness Connect facility is nice, but at what cost. (Not talking money) The balding white slim manager was very rude and completely turned me off from this gym. Looking forward to the 24/7 access at Crunch fitness

On my birthday, I decided I wanted more of them . My focus was greater longevity through muscle gain, fat loss, increased flexibility, and mobility. The investment in getting a Personal Trainer (Anthony) has made all the difference in this journey. Already down 6lbs since starting three weeks ago, mobility is greater and I'm more energetic. I love the gym but I’m bummed that they got rid of a lot of their classes . This was one of the reasons I joined . Love Christina’s and Steven’s classes but I miss the body pump and all the Zumba classes they did in the past. I’m not really a virtual class person. I love that the gym always has equipment available and never ever seems too packed . Staff is great !

I visit this gym when I go to visit my family and I love it. The building is massive and that allows the layout to be extremely simple and effective, each row is a dedicated muscle group with a handful of cable machines and a spacious free weight section. Also, the kids club area had a small basketball area and my kiddo absolutely loves it so that’s another plus

Make sure you read all the fine print in the application forms before signing up for this gym. When I spoke to a gentleman behind the counter when signing up he told me if I moved I wouldn’t have to pay a fee. They don’t know the rules very well or are ok with lying to your face. I moved an hour north and had to pay the $49 buy out fee.

Customer service doesn’t want to work with you when it comes to canceling. They charge $107.00 to cancel your plan. Beware. Then to downgrade they charge you the annual fee again which is $52.00 Stay away from this gym. After you pay the outrageous fee to cancel they make sure to charge you one more time to “cancel your plan”

Absolutely love this gym. The staff is very personable and friendly. One staff member in particular who is great at customer service is Steve. Great gentleman and very helpful with questions concerning membership and workouts. This place is always in tip-top shape and the atmosphere is excellent to work out in.

At first I got my membership which included a price to be able to use childcare when I needed it. Unfortunately they only take care of the children from 4 to 8 in the afternoon, it's not worth it, they never warned that they would only do it full time for summer. Looking forward to ending the membership.

Let me tell you for the price, there is no better gym. Especially for the new equipment and all the space you have. Everything is well Organized and if you want to get a true workout and not feel crowded this is the place. I canceled my membership from my old gym and will be coming here.

Extremely personable & properly trained staff. James Laurent the GM hired amazing people Including Becky Nunez & James Raymond. As a prior employee here I really enjoyed working with my team & it was a completely different shift of atmosphere than working for the south park location.

Hands down the best gym I have been to in the area. Always clean and the staff is super friendly and courteous along with the people who work out as well. Most of the time there is machines available and well kept. Mornings and around 2pm are the best times for availability.

Not worth it you can’t even get a hold of a manager and the service sucks they will gladly sign you up take your money and not give you contracts of the paperwork than when you cancel they want to charge you 99.99$ and tell you that you should of read the contract

Great gym plenty of machinery and my trainer Steven is phenomenal at addressing my needs. Highly recommend this gym, only downside is the limited daycare hours which isn't that big of a problem considering the price.

Love the group Zumba classes . The only suggestion I would have is to extend the hours on the weekend . Since most of gyms stay open later then 7pm especially on Saturday.

I was choked in the kids area, and no one cared the teachers didn't do anything. They said I was ok, and now my neck is red, I do not recommend it keep your children safe
