This location of Ace Hardware is fantastic. I can not say how much I love this store. As a small business owner I find myself in a hardware store more often than not. I had the opportunity to meet the franchise owner and he was very friendly. This store is family owned and operated and they seem like great people. I can run in for anything, find it, and checkout in a hurry or get detailed help from any of the employees. The employees are the most friendly hardware store employees ever. Also they carry Stihl products and do repairs in house. This is the only place I will take my stihl equipment. Despite the store being a little smaller I always find what I’m looking for. This store is perfect for the at home DIY or up to the professional contractors. I will even go to this store if it’s out of my way. You definitely need to go in and check it out.

I love Ace Hardware! We move around a lot because of my husband's work and Ace Hardware has always given me a sense of home. Five Oaks Hardware did not disappoint. The store was spacious, it was clean and everyone working was very pleasant and helpful. I was purchasing paint for my teenager's room(Benjamin Moore- the best paint out there in my opinion), wasn't sure about the textured walls. The young man assisting me was very knowledgeable and I left the store with all the materials I needed for the job. The painting is done, the room looks fabulous and it took way less time because I was prepared with the proper paint, brush and roller. I'd give more stars if I could!

Absolutely the best customer service I have ever received. I had a slight problem with my Traeger Timberline that I purchased with them. I spoke to manager Ashley who immediately addressed my concerns. For as young as she seemed, she handled the situation with finesse and professionalism. She took my info and spoke with the owner. I received a call 20 mins later informing me that they would be bringing out a new grill to my home and replacing the defective product. That action far exceeded my expectation as I only wanted replacement parts. This is the type of customer service you don't find anymore. Thanks Ashley! hope you get a raise.

I stopped in here to get a couple truck keys cut that I ordered off Amazon. I was told they had a policy to not cut keys if not bought from them. I could However buy their version for $34 and they would cut them. I have a policy too. If a business has a policy against making money and doesn’t care for my $15 then I wont do business with them anymore. You keep your keys and I’ll spend my money elsewhere from now on. My family won’t be shopping here again. I found a locksmith right down the street from this place, Champion Lock and Safe and was in and out in five minutes. Great service and veteran run too.

Recently opened for business and appears to be well stocked with most products. Friendly employees who greeted me upon entering the store and answered my questions on product location. While the products that I was looking for were out of stock (gas powered lawn mower and weedeater,) an employee advised me that I could order the products on line and have them shipped to the store without incurring a delivery charge. What would be a good shopping experience would be to receive a sales flyer thru the mail for their regular store sales but few companies appear to do this anymore.

I am a Lowe's customer but I was near this Ace,I needed a car key made and they say upto 60% lower than dealership,I had my blank key and I needed an extra key,just a cut. 1) they don t use others' blanks. 2) They don t have a lot of keys in stock,mine had to be ordered and it would ve taken a few days (a week?). 3) $191.00 plus tax for my key,nah! dealership charges $220.00 and it takes 15 minutes. I would pay $100.00 tops,but I paid $70.00 for last key,I programmed it myself. Ace is not for me,I ll stick with Lowe's...but thanks anyway.

This is hands down my favorite hardware store in all the San Antonio the staff that work there are incredible great knowledge of all their products and very friendly very attentive and will help you out with whatever you need. Although it's not that larger store it seems to have everything you're looking for and then some. The store has an absolutely incredible selection of individual screws and fittings and fasteners a whole aisle dedicated to loose parts and that's fabulous. Stores don't have that anymore it's really difficult to find

The store is nice. The selection is pretty good, although there are a lot of things they only have one of. I was looking at hinges of which I needed 4 and they only had two. I ended up bying some stain and poly; half pints for $10 each. That is WAY too expensive. Had I know just how hard I was getting screwed, I would have just walked out. Now I know why the store was completely empty. Yep, I was the only customer in the store. I doubt I'll ever return when there is a Home Depot that's actually close to me than this place.

New clean store, friendly but not bothersome staff. Typical old school small town hardware store. Has a little of everything important including the specialty odds and ends not found other places. You will pay a few cents to a couple dollars more for some things. Others items I saw for less. This is not a big box store or lumber yard. This is a place you go to get in, get out and have someone actually help you. Don't compare the two. This is a store your grandfather would like, and for good reason.

Ace truly is the place! My dad and I go there because the customer service is exemplary, the store is clean, they have some really cool items that are unique, and associates don't run the other way when you need help like at the big box stores. They truly set themselves with their service. Shout out to Hanah for her help and to the Ace rescue dog, Tony Stark, he's awesome! Last thing, sign up for the Ace customer rewards program, my dad gets "high value" coupons every month.

This place is fabulous! Truly one of the cleanest, cutest hardware stores I’ve ever been to with really superior customer service. This place also boasts a beautiful and well stocked garden department with nursery as well as a super cool gift section that reminds me of chic gift boutiques and specialty general stores I’ve been to. Quality product, environment and staff! Keep up the awesome work and hats off to they buyers and merchandizing team over there.

It's a nice store but they follow you if they think your stealing. That's gross. Not every deeply melanated person is a thief. I paid for my couple of hundred of dollars worth of stuff (like intended)and left. I will not be back. One business owner to another. Upgrade security then you won't have to make underpaid employees stalk your customers. Believe it or not we're not all bad. Alot of us advocate in the community not to steal. Wrong is wrong. Period.

I loved going to Ace! This place so unique and personable at the same time. I say because you are greeted at the door, in which in my opinion is very nice considering you are about to spend money there. Imagine your big box hardware stores but in a small compact area with more of an appreciation towards you as the customer. I got really good service and suggestions while I was there on just my first visit. Would I ever go back? Yes most definitely.

Went in to get prices on blowers and one employee approached me and asked if I needed help. Then another "Stihl" guy went to get prices on a blower and was very disengaged and uninterested to help me. You'd think if someone was going to purchase a product for hundreds of dollars that the employee would be more helpful. He didn't look up or ask any questions about needs, just kept clearing the mucus in his throat. If you're sick, stay home!

I was really blown away by my visit to Ace Hardware. They have an employee who greets you at the door and won't let go of you until he has answered all of your questions and found the items you're looking for. We were searching for a nut and bolt combination and had already checked the other big hardware stores without success. Ace had exactly what we needed. From now on we'll go to Ace first and skip the other stores. Highly recommended!

This hardware store is a gem. I was so surprised to find it on Thousand Oaks. I had a honey do on my list to buy some Pellets for my grill so I turned around after seeing the store. I didn’t have time to walk around the whole store but from what I did see it was a very nice store. The employees were all very nice and helpful upon walking in. I will definitely be going back and if this review helps you. You should definitely go too.

I just love the new Ace Store on Thousand Oaks!!! Just adore the neat little things you can find in an Ace store. They have their store organized sooô good!!! The most fun I had was in their garden center. All the shrubs, roses, and even tomatoes look really great. Probably the best I have seen in awhile. Truly so happy that Five Oaks Hardware has finally opened.

I bought large Big Green Egg from these people and they dropped it off in my garage. The last one I purchased from ACE, they brought to my backyard. Not a big deal, but I have to now ask friends to come over and assist. Would have been good to know at the time of purchase. I will still buy from ACE rather than a “big box” retailer. Just disappointed this time.

Very reminiscent of Sunset and Co. I visited this store because they carry an item I was looking for. The store is immaculate, bright, and well stocked with everything from carefully picked housewares, to hardware, and more. The employees are extremely helpful and friendly. Try to go in around Christmas time. The decorations will really get you in the spirit!

Called Ace to schedule a Handyman service and still waiting according to the woman who schedule this to anyone call me back.....sooo I Imagine dont need more business ....probably Ace got millionaire to get more business....then don't do false advertising for this service....my question is where is the owner since this company is with franchises... lol..

It is a wonderful little store. It seems to have plenty of everything I have needed other than lumber. It's got lots of great gift items which makes it a fun shopping experience. The prices seem to be in line with the larger hardware stores. The employees are very helpful. At the end of each season they put their decorative items on sale.

The staff is friendly and always helpful. They have most stuff for common household repair and needs. It is more expensive but the convenience and helpful staff makes up for it. Its great having a place nearby in the neighborhood and not having to wander around a big box store to find what you need or find someone to help you.

Ok. These are some friendly folks! I was just looking for a mesh screen for my bay doors. They looked it up for me, advised they could order it and have it shipped. They gave me coupons. Told me I should come back next Saturday cuz they'll have popcorn. I'm thinking I just might show up just to be around their happy.

Convenient to our house and a quick in and out trip when you don't want to invest the time and energy at a big box store. They carry the minimum of hardware, especially for quick fixes and emergencies, as well as a large selection of home goods. Larger projects, of course, will require a big box trip.

I LOVE this store! They were doing a bucket challenge today—100% of proceeds went to a charity (believe it was Children’s Miracle Network). Employees are always friendly and helpful. I really enjoy looking at all of the neat things they have to offer. Very happy to have a neighborhood hardware store.

I love the concept of Ace...locally owned, neighborhood stores, and this location is no exception. I've had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, and he's a really good guy, and there's always an abundance of very helpful staff (something very hard to come by in many retail places these days).

Loved it. It was so much more than a hardware store. I went in for a couple of things on my list and spent over a hour looking at there other stuff. I can only mention a few -dishes, mugs, all kinds of lawn stuff and furniture. It almost looked like a gift shop on one side.

Large selection. I found the 1 1/16 socket I needed. Staff was helpful. I thought pricing was a bit deceptive with member deals, and maybe I should have looked closer... but I refused an item on a member deal where the tag was how much off, instead of the member price.

Support and buy from AMERICAN, local, mom & pop, small businesses. Support and buy AMERICAN MADE products as well. These are the stores we need more of. Great customer service you know they appreciate your business. Thank you Five Oaks Hardware for all your hard work.

Not the cheapest prices, but the selection for oddball hardware is hard to beat. Big box home improvement stores only have the most generic hardware, but if you're in need of specialty nuts and bolts, Ace is the Place. Now, I can reassemble a bolt it yourself bed.

I called them on the phone to ask them if they had Apple pay in Google Play said yes I spoke to a man named Fernando that help me with my plumbing needs and he was a very helpful person and very friendly I will continue to go here for all my small project needs.

Their inventory is always accurate with that of what is reported online. Staff readily available, always. This particular store is extremely well managed. I sometimes see the manager in the store, and he always seems to be busting his hump to make it all work.

Needed a specific shelf board. Unfortunately they did not have. However the employee who helped me was great. Fernando apologized for not having it and told me to check out the holiday things they have. Going back. Got some good Christmas present ideas!

This is a great neighborhood store that is well stocked and you don't have to spend time trying to find someone to help you. The garden section is nicely stocked and the two ladies who work in there are very helpful.

Amazing location. Love me some Ace Hardware. I love how they put an Ace Hardware in the middle of high residential areas and not off major highways. Pricing is a little higher, but the convenience factor is worth it.

i love how the plumbing fittings are not in chaos, but closes too early! It never fails that 5 till 7 I need a fitting and spend the next 2 hours in a big box store sorting through their mess to find the part I need.

Needed a new seal to stop my toilet from running. The gentleman took me to the spot and shooed the right part. Ten minutes and no more running water. Can't wait to go and look around the whole store.

Very expensive hardware store. Has some extremely nice lawn equipment and paint but costs 3 times what other stores charge. You can buy sand paper by the sheet though that's pretty cool.

This is a fairly new store. I have gone there to browse and I did get couple of 2 inch springer heads this time. They still have a great selection of metal screws. They are a bit pricey.

If you're looking for a plumbing part, nuts and bolts, or any hardware, this is the place. It is such a nice experience compared to the big box stores. I can't recommend highly enough.
