I’ve been to running stores before (and even this location) but today I had such a phenomenal experience I just had to write a review. I’m training for my 3rd marathon and I’ve just been getting the same size and model of shoe over the years since it wasn’t really causing me any issues. Recently I knew I needed a new pair but I also had some back and leg pain and was looking to try a different shoe if I could find something I liked better than my ASICS GT-2000s. The person who helped me is named Shaggy and he was simply the coolest. He said he’s run over 70,000 miles in his life (!!!) and gave me some great general running tips. He used the scanner to analyze the size and shape of my feet and immediately identified that I needed a different size shoe and different style socks. He also laced my shoes a different way that helped my heel slide less. He brought out a couple different similar styles and sizes and I absolutely loved the third pair I tried. He said if my next race was coming up in the next few weeks, he wouldn’t recommend trying a new shoe or even switching to a new pair of my current model which made me even more confident that he wasn’t pressuring me to buy anything that wouldn’t be right for me, plus he was not pushy at all. He made the experience so personalized and efficient, I was so impressed. When I checked out, I felt really excited about training again after I’d had a really difficult and painful long run, plus I got to use my $15 in reward points. I just ran for the first time with my new shoes and they were amazing - they feel so natural, like there’s not much breaking in to do at all. Fleet Feet also has a ton of other great stuff, from apparel to energy bars/electrolyte tablets/etc., to cookbooks for runners and they are locally owned. I will definitely be going back for any of my running needs!

FLEE FROM FLEET FEET! I went in to pick up a pair of shoes that were transferred from one of there other locations and left with nothing but a horrible experience. Arrived at the store where it appeared to only have two employees already helping other customers. At this point no one greeted or welcomed me into the store no one acknowledged me even being there. A hello welcome in one of us will be with you as soon a we can would have been appreciated. A third employee showed up gathering hangers and clothing disappearing and reappearing from other doors in the store. I would assume this was either the owner or manager as she was not wearing a name tag. Walks past me standing in the middle of the store waiting and again no acknowledgement no have you been helped yet. Now at this time someone else comes into the store and gathers a bunch of gels stands at the register and one of the employees leaves her customer walks past me and helps her at the register. Walks past me again and you guessed it nothing said. Time elapsed at this point 15 minutes. Now four more customers arrive and they all get greated welcomed and helped while they continue to ignore me. At this time I open up my phone and go to Amazon find the same shoes I was to pick up there (ten dollars cheaper) order them. I also proceed to brooks running and Saucony and yes you guess it ordered the other two shoes I was hoping to see and buy in the store. Now they are supposed to have a person you "check in with" to put you on a wait list to be seen and as far as I could see no such person was there but there were plenty of signs around mentioning them. I HATE writing these reviews NORMALLY runners are a very friendly and welcoming group. Not here not today. Flee from from fleet feet. I mean as fast as you can run by do not stop do not enter. Run away!!!!

I had a helpful person, but one who was very distracted. There were so many interruptions by others that I did not get the service I deserved. I had an appointment and still many people were allowed to interrupt my time. I was rushed along and left not knowing (if) I really received the best shoe. The back-drop of this story is that I was sold a certain shoe two months prior. The prices are very expensive in my opinion($130.00). The reason for my return is that I started to have all sorts of problems with the (right) foot concerning my in- step, shoe leaning, as well as putting it on. It became hard to do. It always felt as though my heal was not right or not covered completely. When I retuned the second time for exchange, I was told that I was sold a shoe that was too small. I was told I should have gotten a half size bigger although I wear a size eight. I should mention the process of getting the shoe at first glance seems good. But, when I returned none of my measurements were saved and I had to start over. This sales person at first tried to skip measurement process. I stated, "I want to be treated like everyone else". I was then rushed through this process with constant interruptions. Finally, I called and complained the next day, but I don't know that it helped. I was so unsure about what I was sold the second time. So, I called another store with this same company and asked their opinion. They gave me some feedback on my purchase that brought solace. I am not sure I will return.

Really bad customer experience. Two weeks ago I bought new shoes at the store. The color I wanted wasn’t in stock so the store had their distribution center ship them, and a few days later I was notified that the shoes made it to the store. When I returned today, the store team had a hard time finding the shoes at first. I then noticed that they were on the floor - another customer was trying them on. I told the team member who was helping me, and she approached the other team member who was helping the other customer. He said he was about to make a sale and wouldn’t give her the shoes (that I had already purchased two weeks ago). The sale was then made for the other customer, at the register next to me, while the assistant manager unsympathetically told me that all they could offer was to ship me another pair and give me a 15% coupon for a future purchase. Ultimately, I spent 1.5 hours today on a trip to Fleet Feet for the second time in two weeks, only to watch the shoes I already bought get re-sold to another customer. I’m pretty disappointed. Unlikely that I’ll end up using that 15% off.

Decided to come here after reading the reviews and now I get the hype. I was greeted and helped immediately and Celia, the sales associate, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She ran several tests/scans, walked me through the results, and took the time to ask relevant questions about what I was looking for in my next shoe. She then brought out a number of pairs for me to try based on my data and our conversation (they even have a treadmill) and worked with me to figure out the best one. One of the best sales experiences I've ever had and I've never felt more confident leaving a store with a pair of shoes than I did here. After putting some miles and workouts on my new shoes, they are a significant upgrade from what I was using before. Thank you guys!

Just wanted to say how great the customer service is here! I bought a pair of Brooks Ghost 14 a few months ago. They were only worn inside since it’s been Winter in Chicago. I noticed the rubber on the toe was coming off, (more wear and tear than usual) so I brought them in to have them take a look and they ended up replacing them- not the same color, but nonetheless a new pair! Seems like it was an adhesive issue. Anyways, I’m super grateful for the great service and understanding and will continue to refer my friends and family to Fleet Feet Old town!

Hastings was super patient and helpful in helping me find a pair of running shoes as a new- ish to running customer. I had tried another location and the service here was night and day. I have been to this store many years ago and would prefer this location, as I continue to have wonderful experiences here. And they actually carried larger sized women's ruining shoes. There most often is a wait to be helped- fitted for shoes using their foot scanner and selecting shoes. They also have an option for you to test shoes out running on their treadmill.

Fleet Feet Old Town has been my go-to store for running shoes for many years. They have great service and a great selection of products. The staff is knowledgeable about running and running shoes and they help you find the best shoe for your foot shape and usage. They also have a foot scanner that helps them make suggestions on which shoes will be best for your foot shape. When you make an appointment you get in and out quickly. Take the guesswork out of shoe shopping and go to the experts at Fleet Feet for a fitting. Your feet will thank you!

The technology at Fleet Feet is so cool and Jane was SO helpful! I’ve been having ankle and foot pain and she really listened to my concerns and incorporated it to find me a great shoe and insole. She helped me more in 30 minutes than my podiatrist has. I’m going to take all my winter shoes in to get the right insole for them as well. I have already recommended Fleet Feet to multiple people, including total strangers - definitely check it out and if you’re at the Old Town location, ask for Jane!

I had a great experience here. I told the girl helping me, Jenny, I had no clue what I wanted just needed a good walking shoe. We did a whole foot analysis which was very cool, showed my actual size, how I walk, where I walk on my feet etc.. Really good info, from there she picked out shoes she thought would be good for me. Jenny was patient and super attentive. Never felt rushed or pressured to buy anything. Absolutely love the shoes I got!

I came to Fleet feet because I heard that they measure your feet to determine the best shoe fit for you. They had me stand on a scale like device which measured the arches, length, and width of my feet. After the sales rep had me walk around for a little bit to see which way I walked. Then she asked me some questions before selecting which running shoes I should try on. The shoes she recommended all felt good. I definitely will be back!

I had such an amazing experience coming in and picking up my first pair of running shoes. Staff was friendly and happy to explain everything in detail. The scan of your foot is super cool and a great deal to make sure the shoe you’re buying is the right one for you. They also have a treadmill to run on to test out the shoes further. Cannot recommend this place enough! They do get busy so make sure to plan ahead or expect to wait a bit.

Great place for all kinds of active people. We always buy our running shoes from here, and whenever we decide to make a change, they are always willing to let us try multiple shoes, do a test run and make sure you get what you exactly want. Their sales agent are very knowledgeable about running apparels, so you won't find a better place to go. We have been a customer of fleet feet for at least 4 years, across different cities.

Amazing store and community. They host weekly fun runs and support many local races. They get excited about helping people who are just starting out running, and people training hard. I get all my shoes and fuel there, and joining their racing team made a huge difference to my performance (and social life!) They have as many shoes as you can imagine, and a ton of great running gear. I highly recommend.

Came in with my friend for some new running shoes this past weekend. She did a fitting and found a pair that she liked a lot! I also found a pair on clearance that was exactly what I was looking for. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also have a treadmill so you can test out the sneakers before you buy them. The staff was very knowledgeable and assisted us immediately when we came in.

I’ve been going to this fleet feet for a couple years. They are always very helpful but I especially had a great experience lately. I wish I noticed the sales persons name but she was so nice and patient and helped me find the right shoes and insoles (I have plantar fasciitis so need the arch support). Have had great experiences each time I’ve visited this store. The associates are knowledgeable and attentive. I came in the other day thinking all I needed were some insoles and after a thorough analysis found out my current running shoes were too small. I came in to get fitted for new long-distance running shoes and had a great experience! Shanita was so friendly and helpful, and she was incredibly patient as I tried on various pairs of shoes. She was also very knowledgeable about different models, what is best for injuries, long distance vs. speed, etc. - I will definitely return!

Fleed Feed Old town has good selection of shoes and more importantly very friendly and experienced staff to help. On the other hand shop is poor for the other running gears.
