One week ago today, I had to quickly pull together a funeral gathering for the family of a very dear, long time friend who died suddenly on Saturday. The private service was orchestrated by Crestwood Funeral Home on West 43rd Street for Monday @ 11 am. FLOWERS by Richard NYC was one of the florists recommended by Crestwood. They were open on Sunday, understood my situation and were incredibly accommodating. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who assisted me over the phone. He was Richard's partner. He was so kind and thoughtful on the phone and helped me navigate through the process. I wanted 2 enormous arrangements of only sunflowers and greenery in vases that would sit on pedestals on either side of the coffin. He was surprised with my request. I told him sunflowers were the deceased favorite flowers. He put me on hold to check the availability of so many sunflowers. He said upon returning to the call that they would be able to fulfill the order and deliver Monday morning @ 9 am. We settled a very reasonable bill - I thanked him for his assistance and patience with me. When I arrived on Monday morning and went to the room we were using for the service, I saw the two magnificent arrangements - I was touched and quietly wept for a few moments. I highly recommend Flowers by Richard NYC. Thank you.

I needed irises for a friend named Iris! Quite hard to find around the city- Richard's had them available. Renata, who answered my questions patiently on the phone regarding their care and how I wanted them wrapped was very helpful and kind- even in what seemed to be a busy time for them. I was able to pre-pay over the phone. I called before picking up a few days later as planned and although Renata wasn't there they were able to find my order after a little confusion. Richard even included a few more irises for free (a $20 value) to make up for it at no request of my own. I would most certainly go back as it's clear they care about their clients and want the best experience for all. The photo is my own attempt at arranging as I purchased them loose. They provided the baby's breath free of charge. Bless them!

Best flower experience I've ever had. Richard took the time to ask me what exactly I wanted. I know nothing about flowers, and he helped me through the process. My wife was thrilled with the arrangement. I had called 2 other florists in the area and Richard was the only one who actually took the time to ask me specific questions about what I was looking for. My wife took the arrangement home and they lasted for almost two weeks!!! I usually pick up a bouquet at the local deli, but the flowers only last about two days... It was nice to speak to someone who is passionate about what they do. Will definitely use them from now on!

My newborn niece was welcomed Properly!! I ordered 2 bouquets and eventhough I selected regular size on one of them, it still looked impressive! I ordered the big one, as my second bouquet, and it was bigger than the Deluxe my family ordered from another place so I felt thrilled! Very good price-quality of the service. Teddy bear was pink, lovely, and the arrangement seemed to respect all flowers eventhough during COVID I had insecurities that they'd have all the flowers and they would use replacements. Even if they replaced, it wasn't significant as the end result was amazing, my sister loved them. Thank you!!

Flowers by Richard is absolutely AMAZING florist! Richard did flowers for my wedding and the flowers were gorgeous!!! He exceeded my expectations and I couldn't have been happier on my wedding day. When I walked into the room where I was getting ready I nearly got chills just looking at the bouquets. When I walked into the reception, the centerpieces were more than what I could have asked for. The colors were so vibrant and the pictures turned out even more amazing because of it. Richard was so easy to work with and made my whole wedding experience fantastic. We booked Flower by Richard for our Wedding. Originally we had booked another florist, however 7 weeks before the wedding they had to cancel with us because their store was closing. We found Flowers by Richard and they were able to able to book us immediately. Richard was extremely accommodating with meeting our budget and all our requests that we had envisioned for our Wedding. They were even able to drop off our personal flowers at our hotel, several hours before the wedding in order to have them for our professional photos. Everything looked amazing, would definitely recommend booking!

Flowers by Richard recently did the floral arrangements for my wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Spent over a week looking at various flower shops in New York as we were wanting flowers with a wow factor to be delivered to our niece who had her first baby. What a nice respectful business. I have sent many floral arrangements, from different florist in NYC never using the same one twice because of poor quality, bad service, and usually very over priced for what or how they were delivered. Flowers by Richard has been my choice for a couple years and I have no plans to change that relationship. He helped design the bouquets - creating samples at our preliminary meeting until we found exactly what the bride had envisioned. I just purchased an arrangement for a client for Christmas. I was fortunate enough to deal directly directly with the owner who was both kind, patient and professional. In a city like New York where customer service can often be impersonal and brusque, my experience with this Florist was quite the opposite. My client texted me a picture of the arrangement and it was beautiful, original and artfully done. They now have a loyal new customer!!

Above and beyond!!! Trust them with the job. Richard and his team really came through. They attempted multiple times to deliver an arrangement to the hospital, but as my friend was in ICU it couldn't be done. They had great communication the whole time. We worked out a pickup time for me with a fresh new arrangement a few days after my friend came home. It was so beautiful. Highly recommend! They're my flower guys now for sure.

They made beautiful bouquets (bridal and flower girl) for my wedding ceremony and centerpieces for the reception, all were gorgeous and it set the tone of our event. These flowers were art. The florist asked good questions. You could tell he knew his business and was doing everthing he could to gaurantee a wonderful experience. Delivery was complicated but he got all the information and contact numbers. These were a birthday surprise for my University daughter. She was thrilled. She has 3 more years and I will be back because Richard's put so much thought and care into our flowers.

I am an elopement photographer in NYC, and when two brides decided that they were going to come to our great city to tie the knot at the last minute, they turned to Flowers by Richard to create two beautiful bouquets. The results were stunning; they coordinated each bride's flowers beautifully without matching - important in a lesbian wedding where both parties have bouquets, and not something everyone things of.

Based on the photo and my description he was able to create and surpass my expectations! Ordered a bouquet for someone's birthday, the process was very smooth and the flowers were simply gorgeous, even better than in the photos. The prices are surprisingly reasonable as well. They saved my butt! Accidentally ordered flowers with lilies in them, not thinking about the recipients' cats.
