Love my furniture I purchased - can't fault it! But certainly no thanks to the employee's at the Maribyrnong store. Multiple times were I experienced a demeaning, patronising, lazy and almost sarcastic tone. If you don't like your job, don't work there.... Whilst I was processing payment, a (shorter) fellow colleague of the lovely lady that was serving me (who I was told normally works at another store) was constantly intervening and undermining her actions and words. Scrutinising her every move. Was unbelievably unprofessional and I felt so embarrassed for this more than capable lady - very distrusting of her colleagues... Weeks after my ETA, I called to check the status of my order, and Kane (without even asking for my name or details to check) just plainly told me, "If I haven't received a call, it'll probably be Thursday..." Right..... Can you check first instead of assuming and shortcutting your job? I also opted not for delivery, thinking I could fit it into my car. Little did I know, should it not fit that requesting delivery is NO LONGER AN OPTION! Thank you for telling me in advance - had this been the case, yes I would've organised delivery. Instead I'm told I must organise my own courier, which are $$$! Even in the past when I've entered this store with full interest and possible intention of purchasing furniture, I've only been given poor, lazy and blasé service. Hardly a glance my way let alone a hello. Always a know it all attitude. I hope this review aids others in their decision choosing to visit this store... I won't be returning or recommending them anytime soon..

Most deceitful company I have ever come across. We purchased a chaise lounge and 2 arm chairs months ago that were scheduled for delivery today. When purchasing in store there was no mention of how their delivery system works so you’d think a big company like focus would have a decent delivery system. Their delivery system is absolutely rubbish, with no times given you’re basically playing guess what time the delivery driver will rock up to your house so stupid. Sending a text saying you’re 3rd in line isn’t giving enough notice to a customer, then sending another text saying you’re next in line and to contact the delivery driver if needed. My husbands called the driver twice after the text stating their on the way to our delivery so he could find out their ETA which you’d think is why they give you a number to call and no answer. Then 20 minutes later the driver then apparently knows how to use his phone and calls to say they’re outside. It also states on their website that the delivery driver will call 1 hour before the delivery and clearly he didn’t or we wouldn’t have this issue. They’ve now canceled our delivery and expect us to pay additional fees to redeliver which is absolutely ridiculous as this is no way our fault that this company doesn’t know how to properly organise deliveries. I’ve called the store to explain the situation and they’ve basically said it’s our fault and we have to pay again to deliver it. Cannot wait for consumer affairs to show this disgusting excuse of a company what customer rights are.

Bought a couch from Focus on Furniture back in October. Sales agent guaranteed us that the couch will be delivered before Christmas. We reiterate that this is important to us as we will be hosting Christmas in our brand new house. I called mid November to make sure delivery is still on track, the same sales agent told me that it's been delayed by few days but it should still arive in time for xmass. Also promised that they will be calling me back with an update. But didn't hear anything! Called the second time few weeks later, still telling me that it's delayed again. They told me that they can't do anything to confirm if it will come on time and that I will need to wait another few days for updates. They only decided to call us back because we posted a negative review online as we were very frustrated. They told us today that couch will not arrive for Christmas. They could've at least be more transparent from the start. We now stressing as we do not have enough time to find a new couch. Complaind to the manager (Kane) but they didn't show any sympathy or understanding to the situation we're in. The worst customer service ever.

I'll be honest, I'm worried about the quality of the couch now. Be careful with their delivery process. They give you a day but can't tell you a time at all so you have to set aside a whole day. I was told the driver will call an hour before he arrives but apparently he called when he was at my house. I had a missed call so I called it back. He didn't answer and his voicemail just said 'This is Pedro, leave a message'. I didn't know if it was the delivery guy or someone else. I tried to call back another two times but no answer. Thanks Pedro. Then I got told I need to pay for delivery again and next time to be home all day. I said that it was silly and I'll just pick it up myself and I got told I can't now. I have no choice but to pay delivery again. We have had deliveries from Miele, Good Guys, JB and a few other local places and your delivery was the worst. If you want more money, increase the price of your furniture, don't go for cash grabs after customers trusted you. Very disappointed

I'm feeling for small businesses this time and I don't usually leave reviews but I wanted to express my gratitude to the excellent service from purchase to delivery recently. Pre covid i bought a bed set and was able to look around without the pushy sales vibe and I also observed how positive the team were towards each other like no question big or small for them to answer. They offered a deposit option and full payment at delivery. I appreciated how the sales person whom I recall to be adriana that was honest bout the delays in the delivery..throughout the delays I was kept informed. When delivery was due I had to postpone delivery due to a loss and adriana was very compassionate about this. I've never experienced a service that went above and beyond during covid with a "family feel" and Im glad i did not opt for elsewhere. Id give a 100% if I could to focus on maribyrnong. Keep up the great service and I'm so happy with my bed set and mattress.

It is such a shame that a store which sells such great products is staffed by such a rude sales assistant “DIMI”.I had the utmost displeasure of encountering DIMI and her rude remarks when I purchased a product that was damaged after opening it at home and proceeded to attempt to exchange it. DIMI, who was not serving me, felt the need to insert her snide remarks while I was communicating with another member of the staff. She did not know the circumstances and kept barging in on our conversation, even going far as to say that the “shop was closed” and I should return the next day when she happily allowed another couple in to the store despite the “shop being closed.” The store should rethink about hiring such an awful staff member who has no customer service and made my entire experience at focus on furniture a terrible experience.

3.5 - God service. We spent quite a bit of time trying out mattresses before finally selecting one. Also bought a bed from them. I found them to be well priced but the one issue I had after I got the bed and the mattress was I found the mattress to be quite high for the bed. We had a low bed and mattress previously but this felt quite high. The mattress is insanely comfortable and my husband’s back issues are no longer a worry for us which is great but I’m still not sure they recommended the right bed for this particular mattress. Deliver took a month but arrived well and then setup the bed for us as well.

Andrijana at Focus on Furniture, at the Homemaker Centre in Maribyrnong is truly amazing at her job. She was so customer oriented and ensured that all our questions were answered. She walked us through the process of buying a bed and leather lounge suite. My family and I were very impressed at how what usually is a stressful, time consuming process, was straightforward and on the contrary, very enjoyable. I absolutely adore the quality goods of Focus on Furniture as well as the very affordable prices. Thank you for a wonderful experience and thank you Andrijana! :) will refer many people on to you.

I am very happy with the service at this store. I had been waiting a very, very long time (almost 2 months) for my couch I paid in full from the Hoppers Crossing store - as soon as I contacted the Maribyrnong store for assistance, Kylie worked up a storm to ensure my couch would arrive that week - and it did! Thank you so much, Kylie! I would further like to add how the truck driver, Alex, and his colleague were amazing and friendly, as well as put the couch together in no time! Thank you!!

Marilena gave great customer service and was lovely to chat with too. Helped me make a decision and was very informative about product and other products available. I also compared quality of couch with other stores selling similar couches at similar prices and was obvious Focus on Furniture quality (and customer service) was much better for price and was an even better bonus couch was on sale too and in stock. deposit now paid and booked delivery! exactly how business should be done :-)

Moving during a lockdown comes with many challenges. Thankfully, buying furniture for my new space was a breeze with the help of the incredible Kylie at Focus On Furniture, Maribyrnong. Kylie talked me through products over the phone, gave suggestions and was, in a nutshell, superb to deal with. Any worry I had about buying furniture without having seen if before was allayed by Kylie's in depth knowledge of the products. Don't hesitate to give her a call!

Recently purchased a 5-seater sofa, a bed, and a mattress Focus On Furniture and I am extremely happy with the quality of the products and the exceptional service provided. A special shout out to Joel and Sarah who assisted us with our purchase. We got a great offer over the Easter weekend. The delivery and set-up service was also quite good and all the items were handled with great care. I will definitely be returning for future purchases.

The delivery guys, in particular Adam, did an excellent job of bringing in the furniture carefully and assembling the pieces thoroughly and quickly. Very happy with the products and overall service. These guys have a great range of affordable furniture. The guy that helped me took time to give me options and was more than helpful negotiating a price. He didn't seem to mind that I moved everything around to find the perfect look. The furniture is generally solid wood and clever construction. Well worth a look if you are considering a new piece for your home!

Horrible. Don't believe Kane at Maribyrnong. Early Nov - "yes you can have this before Christmas, it'll come in on Dec 6th. Plenty of time" Late Nov - "Sorry, won't come in until February" Don't believe what they say for a sale. Will never shop with you again and will go out of my way to tell other's about your dishonest approach
