We had a great breakfast and coffee experience at Fonté Coffee Roaster Café which begin a full day of touring Seattle. Our goal, in addition to breakfast, was to have great coffee at a different place every day while in town. Fonté did not disappoint in either the food or coffee departments. I had the Veggie Frittata. It was very well done with the veggies inside not overcooked and retaining their flavor and al dente texture. It was topped with an aged cheddar and served with perfectly cooked potatoes and dressed greens. I really liked it. My wife had a standard, and good, steel cut oatmeal which was served with fruit. Initially the fruit was melon which she described as “sad” but she had them change to apples and pineapple which were fresh and great. We shared a large french press single origin roast which was perfect to our tastes. Not too acidic as I prefer my coffee, and as it was in a French Press, we could make it as strong as we wanted. They also have specialty lattes like unique flavors such as a Turkish made with cardamon and a sage latte which we would have tried had we not been on a path to sample basic coffee everywhere we went. This is an order at the counter place which wasn't crowded so ordering and getting a table was not a big issue like some other reviews have stated. Though when customers showed up behind us in line our server did seem to rush us along. This is a solid breakfast and coffee spot in Seattle and if we were in town more we’d come back and try some of the uniquely flavored lattes.

I was on vacation here and found this amazing coffee spot on my walk downtown and I'm SO happy I did! This place had such a great vibe inside - lots of seating and surprisingly spacious. They have lots of coffee options with your standard sweet treats but I was surprised to find they offer a pretty expansive food menu as well! I can't speak on their savory foods but we ordered a chocolate chip m&m cookie to eat alongside our iced chai and the Aztec mocha and was blown away by everything we received! I wish the cookie was warm when it was served to me (I could've asked bc im sure they could've heated it up in a microwave really quick but I didn't ask so that's on me lol) and the drinks were phenomenal. The chai was nicely spiced and not super sweet (thank you - it's the best chai I've ever had that wasn't homemade) and the Aztec mocha was really unique in a good way. It wasn't very sweet either and the notes of coffee shined through but was complimented very nicely by the slight heat of cayenne pepper and the almost bitter taste of the chocolate. I'd 100% recommend both of those drinks because they were perfect! The prices aren't crazy expensive either which I appreciated. Whenever I'm back in the area I'll definitely stop in again!

I really enjoyed the Turkish latte I ordered here -- it had the right amount of foam, sweetness ,and spices. My family members ordered other espresso coffee drinks (Rose Latte, Mocha Latte, Caramel Latte) and equally enjoyed them. The atmosphere inside is comfortable and relaxing, with a terraced floor plan that gives a certain cool vibe ambiance. It's a great spot to sip some coffee and chat with friends. One small complaint: The prices on the food were kind of pricey. For example, $12 for a chicken wrap that wasn't that large. But otherwise, this cafe is excellent and I would highly recommend it. It's located right near Seattle Art Museum and a few blocks from Benaroya Hall, making it a great stop before you go to other places. So the price is probably related to the convenience.

Our hotel recommended this place to us for good coffee and breakfast. We stopped by on a Saturday morning and the place was pretty quiet. It’s a small cute little coffee shop. You order all your food at the register and then it’s brought out to you. We had a vanilla caffe latte which was great! For food I had the cinnamon roll French toast and my husband had the chorizo biscuits and gravy. We weren’t blown away with the food, the French toast was very dry and bland even with it being bathed in maple syrup. The biscuits and gravy was not your typical biscuits and gravy and was okay, but the gravy was too different in taste from your average gravy. It was more of a cheesy flavor. The bacon was phenomenal, it was crispy and cooked just right. Food was overpriced for what you get though honestly. Really wish there were more options for weekend brunch/breakfast. The staff was friendly and the ambience was nice.

10-star espresso, and nitro cold brew. Excellent coffee! I consider myself a coffee snob and was expecting the same red or not dark roast that many of the other places around here are delivering. Whatever roast it is, it is amazing. The nitro cold brew taste like milky goodness with nothing added. Best nitro we have ever had. Espresso extra thick, and the Crema was fantastic. Staff is super friendly and helpful! The only possible downside is that they have two people working and so it’s not like blowing through the line at Starbucks but the product is so much better. After ordering, our coffee was ready in about two minutes.

Come for the cold brew!! WoW, their nitro cold brew is amazing! It’s so smooth and mellow, it’s like sipping coffee milk, but without any milk. Their espresso is probably the best you will get in Seattle if you prefer darker-roasted espresso. We DON’T DRINK RED/BLONDE ESPRESSO. They have a cool relaxed vibe to the place and the staff are nice. Didn’t try the food but lots of happy looking people in the cafe side. Our family owns a coffee roaster, we know our stuff. Come here and buy their coffee!! They make coffee cocktails and specialty coffee drinks too. After trying 4 other coffee shops today, I’m really glad we found this shop!

Nice cafe near pike place. Went there for brunch. They have good options for coffee and bakery items. We ordere a rose desert latte and a turkish latte, but tasted fine. Also ordered an egg white omelette, it came with a side of potato wedges and sourdough bread. Everything tasted great and the portion size was huge, couldn’t finish it by myself. Also ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with ceeam cheese that tasted fine too. The only thing I did not like was that they did not serve coffee in cups even though we were dining in. Not sure if you have to ask for that explicitly. Also the coffee wasn’t made extra hot even when asked for.

Stopped by here for breakfast as I wanted something with seafood. Got the Smoked Salmon scramble and it was delicious! So flavorful! The Parmesan potatoes that it came with were also delicious and they had whole roasted garlic in them, which I loved! Also came with two slices of sourdough bread and strawberry jam. Plenty of other things looked good as well but I was traveling alone so only had room for the scramble. Also all the usual coffee options as well. I didn’t see a drink menu by they have a good selection of liquor as well. Do they can satisfy all your needs If your in the area I can easily recommend this place.

I visit Seattle often and always check out all the local coffee spots. I believe this is simply the best in the city. The space is classy, but relaxed and comfortable. The baristas are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and real. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Let’s face it though, the main draw is the coffee. I ordered a Mexican mocha, expecting some syrupy sweet drink with the other ingredients overpowering the coffee. I took one sip and literally said, “Wow!” It was sublime! Needless to say, I bought a bag of whole beans to take with me. Serious coffee lovers need to visit this place.

When I walked into this place, I saw a lot of potential for being a 5 star review. Unfortunately the food was quite disappointing. I had a eggs benedict that took 30 minutes to get ready and the best part of it was the salad. Coffee was very good and the two young baristas were working their a** off while two elder guys were idling and checking their smartphones, and people were piling making the place claustrophobic. The reason that this place still got a two star and not a one is because of the two young guys in the front. They were putting so much effort and I was in their shoes before, please make sure that they are recognized by their hard work. That's it.

This is one of my most favorite coffee shops in Seattle. They have a turkish coffee latte that tastes so good. There food is fantastic and the service is really nice. There other coffee is really good too. They have tons of pastries and really tasty sandwiches. The chicken salad wrap is very tasty and a nice lunch item.

As a tourist, we decided to visit Fonté based on our extensive research for best google reviews for brunch in Seattle. Came here for a Saturday brunch and we were lucky enough that there was an available table. My husband fell in love with his meal and so did I. Best brunch meal we ever had. We also tried the Aztec Mocha and Desert Rose Latte (love it! Not so sweet. )We will comeback again->from Vancouver, BC just to have brunch in here. No regret.

Our routine back home in Dallas is to check out new coffee spots each weekend. We wanted to do the same in Seattle and wandered into Fonte while staying at the Harbor Steps nearby. The best part about Fonte is Ray! It's hard to find someone who matches my energy, but he does and more! Ray made a fantastic recommendation for our drinks and did not disappoint. It was so good, we went back the next day. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at this place! After a concert, we stopped for brunch with the kids. The food was delicious, and my Desert Rose coffee was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was lovely; we'd definitely come back. The only small issue was the cashier girl also serving, causing a slow line to order. But the staff was incredibly nice and caring, so it wasn't a big deal. I wanted to take pictures of the food, but it disappeared too quickly!

Atmosphere is inviting, the service is fast and welcoming. I was on the hunt for hot chocolate in Seattle and came upon this establishment; I ordered a hot chocolate which was good, however, I was hoping for a more rich flavor as this was a bit lacking for my taste, but overall all right. The whipped cream was good. The drink itself was warm, not wait a few minutes hot, but I'm sure had I asked, the drink could've been made hotter. I think my favorite part of the experience was the person that rang up my sale. She was very nice and I appreciate her and what she made for me today.

First and last visit this morning. Terrible service. The girl behind the counter clearly hates her job, no greeting or eye contact, and was eating out of a Starbucks bag between customers. Terrible, bitter coffee and then when I asked for half and half she said they were out and plonked a gallon jug of milk on the counter. If the food and coffee had been even average maybe it could have been saved, but the breakfast sandwiches and pastries are incredibly overpriced and inedible. Avoid.

This place has an awesome vibe and lots of options. Only reason I did not rate five stars is because I did not enjoy the breakfast sandwich I ordered, the sausage, egg & cheese on brioche; it was also $11.00 so definitely not worth the price. It was way overcooked, rubber eggs and all that - I'm sure some of their other food items are great; the baked goods looked tasty. A 12oz. iced latte was almost $6.00 but it was delicious. The people working were very nice. I may return but not for a breakfast sandwich.

Hard working people working hard. Customers in the know - on the go - are here. Good coffee. Good cinnamon roll with a gooey, sticky, tasty bottom. Coffee overall is good...but omg the food.....I think the flavor is great but do not order avocado toast because it's such a scam. Only one toast for $17...and the toast is a size of my hand, which isn't very big. This lunch doesn't even make my belly full....very disappointed. Only will order coffee from now on

This place has gone downhill in four years. It used to be one of the best places to get brunch and coffee. The sage latte no longer tastes of sage, the food is poorly cooked an greasy, and the service is barely there. It’s sad to see the quality so poor from how it has been. We have been coming here for 13 years, but this will probably be the last time.

Woah! My favorite breakfast burrito in Seattle so far!! From the fluffy tortilla, to the cheese/sriracha mayo it was awesome! I've tried an iced mocha latte and the Turkish latte. Both are delicious. The Fonté cookie was okay. Lotssss of chocolate but not a strong flavor. Going to try the Aztec latte next time! It's in a great spot and not overly crowded on a Seattle summer weekend.

  • Momochan

I came here for a brunch with good coffre. I took a capuccino…the coffee wasn’t good and the quality of the milk wasn’t great either. I didn’t finish it, cause you are in seattle and there is other options. I was looking for a coffee Shop which didn’t look like starbucks but it was a huge fail. The waitress was nice though.

At first I figured this was just going to be a place catering to business people on their way to work. But I was pleasantly surprised. They have super friendly staff. Our food was good. They were out of salmon because Pikes Place was closed due to snow... Which is really sort of cool. I like that they actually source local when they can. The boozy coffee was tasty.

  • Simona Palovcikova

Coffee selection in this café is so huge! I was tempted to try a turkish latte which contains cardamon and vanilla bean syrup. The latte tasted slightly sweet so the cardamon taste could dominate. I am happy I found this place on my short visit in Seattle, I’ll stop by in the future for another turkish latte.

Staff was kind & store was clean. I requested a burrito without meat & was told they were pre-made ( however, they did offer a meat-free burrito). I went with a Lox Bagel & though it tasted decent, I was not happy with the size (I'm a fluffy girl & I like to eat). The coffee menu was rad & I tasted two from the menu, but the temp was warm at best.

These are the best espresso martinis in Seattle! The only reason I gave this a 4 star review is the first time we came, they had no one on staff to serve alcohol. We came back the next day and were able to get one martini but when we went to order another one, that person left as well. Clearly a staffing issue.

The coffee is great and the space is nice. Service was nice. The $17 avocado toast was so-so and esp for the price, so I’d suggest ordering something else.
