The way we were treated at this pub really had a profound effect on my emotions. I not saying that they don't appreciate people of color in their establishment, but that is the way I felt while I was there. I have never in my life experienced such blatant disrespect!! Being a woman of color, certain treatment and looks come with the territory when you’re out in certain areas of Indiana, but this place took it to a whole other level. We have been living close to this restaurant for about 2 years and decided to try some of the local fair in our area. We love to try new places, and this restaurant’s menu online had a lot of great items that we felt we would like to try. We called in an order for pick up, the person who took the order advised us that the order would be ready in 30 minutes. When we arrived, the place was packed with our local "men in uniform", we believe for the city of Lawrence (not a person of color among them) From the second we entered the door all eyes were on my fiancé and me. We approached the bar area where you would pick up a phone in orders, the staff definitely made it obvious that they did not want to serve us bypassing us more than several times to assist other non-melanin customers. Mind you we sat on the bar stools smack dab in the middle of the bar. The server would work both ends of the bar and never interact with my fiancé and me. They would walk by as if we weren't even sitting there and refused to make eye contact with us. At this point, it was oblivious that this was a thing that was really happening. And when you looked at the fellow costumers and staff if became alarmingly clear why. We were the only people of color in the whole place (except for the Hispanic gentlemen working in the kitchen) The only staff that was helpful were the Hispanic gentleman working in the kitchen. After waiting for about 20 minutes, just to get the attention of a server, I was able to catch the attention of one of the men working in the kitchen. He let us know that our order had never even been placed in the kitchen. My fiancé was furious, and I was so hurt by the way were treated I just cried in the car. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my entire life! To the owner of this establishment. This is 2018 and people of color spend money just like everyone else. The only reason I am giving this place 1 star is that you must for your review to post.

Terrible service last night, on my friends birthday no less. The long haired brunette server was rude to me seconds after walking in regarding where I wanted to sit... really? She made a comment to my friend about how old he looked for his age and then asked his wife how old she was, mind u it was his birthday. It took me 5 minutes to get my first bottle of beer. Later in the evening I requested a beer as she walked past and she said nothing, I then said 'miss' and then she looked back at me. I was seriously in shock at the unprofessionalism, my hearst started to race like it does before you get into a fight but u can't hit a woman and I didn't want to make a scene on my friends birthday. Finally, I saw her sit next to another customer and take a 'shot' with them... drinking on the job? That's a nice touch, is there a back room for private dances too? My friend is too laid back to say anything so I felt compelled to speak on his behalf, my behalf and the other couple she was rude to. ***Fair warning to the owner, who I have seen at the bar watching football on Sunday, I will be back in there and if the experience is 1% similar to last night I will be contacting the BBB and Steritech

Absolutely love this establishment, most of the bartenders are fantastic, especially Meg! They also have a really good food for a pub, their main cook is from Ale Emporium, so it’s no surprise their wings are far above average... It is also a good spot to have some low-key fun on the weekends. On Saturday night they have karaoke, but it’s not your typical karaoke. The karaoke DJ’s name is Tony, and he uses a phenomenal PA and karaoke software PLUS stage lights and fog machine! In addition, he plays the best song lists early in the evening and in between performances. On Sundays they now have open mic night, I have been there twice on Sunday recently and the talent was definitely above average, and the host is a great performer that plays various classic rock covers. Also, if you’re a fan of cop show Live PD , there’s a good chance you might run into their production crew eating lunch or dinner since the Lawrence Township Police Department is part of the show.

Well, I walked in with a gentleman friend and we were really confused because the stage was right by the door with live music and a crowd of elderly people. As we stood there, the man on stage TOTALLY called us out in the middle of his country song telling us to come in & asking if we were on a date. Blushing, we chose a table and learned the drinks were on a chalkboard hidden by fake plants. We also noticed many of those on the crowd had walkers/wheelchairs and their teeth were in the table. Okay, I made the teeth part up. As the night progressed the country artist would call out other boys and girls sitting together, random birthdays, and thank the one waitress profusely. All in all, not an unpleasant experience. Very entertaining but unexpected. This man is here every Wednesday, and so will the walkers. I do recommend the queso.

Went on a karaoke night, so it was packed. The wait staff was running hard to keep up with all of the people including a very large birthday party.

Extremely accessible compared to 9 of 10 places I have been to, recently. The main door needed a bit of maneuvering as you're going through a door with a short space before another door. The inner door was kept open tonight but be aware it is there. That said, there is a second entry with just the one door opening directly onto the bar/dining area. The tables are spaced with adequate room. The bathroom might be a bit tight to maneuver a wheelchair into but there's a decent amount of space in the stall and sink areas.

As you may have already seen on facebook as i am a member of a 136 pro 2a groups in the Indianapolis and indiana area. I have supported this place for many years all the time carrying legally. Tonight i was refused service for carrying concealed legally i was on the way to the bathroom didnt get time to go to restroom or order drink before i was asked to leave. Id you support the 2nd amendment do not support this bar. It is unlawful and unconstitutional. Please share what i have experienced. So your friends and family do not have to be insulted and embarrassed. Please share on all social media to boycott this place for they are not following the law or the constitution. If i could give a 0 i would my old boss took me here when i first started walked in i wasnt greeted neither was my other co worker who was black but the coworkers we came with were white they were nice to them i got my menu tossed and not handed to me spoons and forks tossed at me instead of handed to me asked for a sweet tea got it unsweetened and i said something about it she never changed it it took nearly an hr to get my food and on top of that other employees there were rude and the customers looked at us funny it was a horrible experience my suggestion if ur black eat else where

Took my 88 year old mother out for a special lunch. We were the only table with customers. Waitress, Kelly C, took our order. Thought food would be hot- took a long time to prepare. Food was warm. Practically threw our food at us and never returned. I went to the bar for napkins. Received “unitemized” bill and questioned why it seemed high. She seemed confused and then said, “oh, that additional $6 was for the fries!”. WE DID NOT ORDER FRIES”. We clearly were surprised when we got them and figured they must have come with the meal. She then said, “my bad”. Really Kelly! Won’t be back! Ripping off 88 year old ladies is just wrong

The food is great. The service (Carla ❤, Katie ❤) is Amazing! Attentive, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, polite. The prices are decent too. The atmosphere, or ambience, could use a little something. Maybe if the lights were even just slightly dimmed, and not so glaring, as halogen bulbs can be, it would be more comfortable. The other guests, regulars, are friendly and welcoming. All-in-all, a very nice local place.

Essentially you basic bar and there was nothing really unique about the typical bar food served here, but it tastes good. When we went, it wasn't at all busy however, the bar also didn't strike me as a particularly vibe oriented fun time. At a glance of the menu I got a slightly higher than fair price for the quality and quantity feel of food but it's workable.

When we first arrived at about noon there was no chief but we decided to stay and have a beer while deciding on another place. After a bit the chef arrived. I forget the menu name but the mushroom burger was cooked a perfect medium well and tasted great. Every place is currently having staffing issues, so I'll let that slide because of the frendly service.

Been there a few times before and it was always good. That changed today. Server had zero personality unless you were a regular and then you got your food first too! After taking our order by memory, stopped and took regulars orders and chatted. Ordered tenderloin sandwich, made fresh. Fries were NOT fresh cooked. Because Tenderloin was good, I went back. This time tenderloin wasn't fresh. Let me preface my criticism with this... It was an extremely busy Saturday night with a great band. I think the issues were simply because the place was so packed. Service was a little slow and there was a couple drink mix ups, shots that were bought for us were delivered to the wrong table and mistake was not made right. More shots were brought but we were billed for them. Servers and bartenders were friendly, the place was very clean. I really liked the vibe. I'll definitely go back.

We go here occasionally because it is quiet and the food is good as well as the staff is courteous. Tonight, we wanted to sit outside in the nice weather. We were cared for quickly checked on often, even though we were the only ones outside. Then there was what appeared to be a wedding party rush. I have never seen so may people there at once. The staff handled it with kindness, efficiency and professionalism. I cannot speak highly enough about the how it was handled. Great job!

I came in around 4:15 pm to place a to go order and they only had a few customers. It consisted of The Club, cottage cheese, potatoes skins and breadsticks. All but the breadsticks were good, they tasted stale. The big issue I have is the menu prices do not reflect the prices I paid, everything was at least a dollar or two more. I went here for the first-time and we didn't like the food at all the homemade chips was cold Philly and pull pork didn't have any flavor what so ever. I got 2 jacks and coke which was $6 a piece but I got a speciality drink which was $4.50 and the food was $8.99 a piece. All of it came out to $40 I definitely waisted money especially on the food. I ordered my food and it wasn't even fresh they brought the food out less than 6 minutes from the time I order.

I have been going to the Pub for Several years, however on Saturday met some friends and ask the server to turn down the jukebox because it was so loud. She replied there was no volume on the jukebox. We placed our order of nachos, Potato basket, deep fried pickles. The presentation was nothing but a can of melted cheese on the nachos and the basket of potatoes. We felt that our server was intrested in taking shots with her friends at the bar.

Hubby and I decided to try this place out for the first time. We were very pleased with what we ordered. I had the Taco Salad. He had the hoagie and fries. The one thing I noticed was the cook DID NOT wear gloves while he was preparing food. I'm big on food preparers wearing gloves. I really thought this was something that most food preparers started doing post Covid.

The food is good, but the place is always dirty in appearance. The service is terrible. The prices are reasonable. The bartender is not particularly friendly. And, they won't serve teenagers even when sitting outside where they can't see the bar, which is fine according to state law. Waitresses often sit down with their friends while letting customers sit and wait till they are finished talking.

I really want to like this place, but it never fails to disappoint. I work in the area and stopped in for lunch after their recent closing/remodel. Place is cleaned up some, hard to tell a differnce, but experienced the same old issues. The house made chips are burnt. More expensive than other places in the area. It feels like if you're not a regular, you don't get good service. I tried!

This was the 1st time here. I really like the atmosphere, I could call this place a regular spot. I haven't tried the food or didn't even look at the menu as yet, but I plan to on my next visit. The reason for 3 stars, the two bartenders/servers seemed to be at each other's throat. I want an opportunity to give 5 stars, but we'll see how my next visit plays out.

I stopped in for the first time and wasn't disappointed. It was karaoke night and a little loud but I still enjoyed the service and the food. The menu is pretty simple and what I got was executed pretty well. I'll go back.

Nice, relaxed, local bar. The atmosphere he's is definitely small town and local. They have a game room, plenty of tvs, a basic variety of beer, and a basic selection of bar foods. It's close to where I live and its pretty cheap. Bartenders can be good or just acceptable. That's why I am only giving it a 3. It's also nothing outstanding in any way.

I go here every week, the food is Fantastic, the beverage selection is wonderful and reasonably priced! Different specials everyday to encourage you to try new things and best of all the atmosphere is perfect after a long day at work or just to sit down with a good friend and chat. The Pool Tables, JukeBox, and Golden Tee are Bonus Points. 6/5!

Be prepared to be surprised when you get your bill. Prices were increased, but not posted on the menu. I would have given 2 stars had the bartender not been so nice. It's an old feeling, neighborhood bar. Not anything you'd want to take a date. Rather mediocre. Ummm, you can find better.

Nice little neighborhood pub. I just had drinks, but the service was good and the staff was friendly. The food looked good. Lots of TVs and some pool tables in the back, if you are into that kind of thing. Will definitely go back next time I'm going to a show at the Theater at the Fort.

We win cuz we heard they had karaoke but we ended up eating having the big band was okay but a little disappointed I guess the system for the karaoke couldn't get going so ended up having dinner and left didn't get back yesterday but we'll see how this next Friday goes try it again

I went at an off time so I was the only person at the time I went in, but the menu was nice and simple...not trying to much with random items. I tried the fried tenderloin and it was amazing...if you're looking for some good pub food, give this place a shot!

I LOVE the bangin' shrimp appetizer--lots of shrimp fried well, with spicy drizzle on top. Quesadillas and nachos are very good (and huge!), as is the veggie burger. As a vegetarian, i haven't tried much else there. Great place for playing pool or darts.

Great server, good food but why does the karaoke have to be at 2000 decibels in such a small space? Ruins the experience when you can't talk to the people you're with or hear the singer. Seriously.

Honestly it's true what the other reviews say, the clientele is on the older side....but I like that. It's quiet and has good music. The food is on point and the service was great. If I want a sports bar with rowdy customers I would go elsewhere.

Everything was 9k, except for the fact that when I ordered a shot of Jameson on three separate occasions, the bartender poured me a shot of Johnny Walker Red. Not that I'm super picky, but if I wanted scotch, I would have asked for it.

I like to come here because it's usually not very crowded. Now I know why it's usually not very crowded. Lackluster service and average food. One of my pet peeves is when the server does not remove dirty plates from the table.

I'm simi- regular here. Can find us most Mondays and Thursday nights. Have never had a bad thing on the menu and I've had just about all of it by now. Drinks are fairly priced and the staff is always friendly.

Just moved to the area. Our first visit was excellent. The servers and bartender were on top of everything. We never waited on a drink and our food was served very quickly. Can't wait to become a regular!

Good food, order the hot BLT Wrap, strong drinks. Multiple tvs at the bar with pool and darts if you want. Sometimes in the winter it gets pretty chilly in there but drink more and you're good to go.

Best low key down to earth bar in Lawrence. The bartender Salina is the best. Personable and friendly staff. Excellent food. A definite must come to place for a relaxing chill evening at the bar.

Love coming here after meetings for dinner and a tasty beverage. The staff is friendly and calls you by name as soon as they learn it everytime you come in. They always make you feel welcome.

Went with friends and we were able to sit outside. The Pub was preparing for a live band and the place was busy. Variety of menu items to choose from, the pulled pork sliders were delicious.

Always a good time there. Very chill atmosphere. Their nachos are great! I haven't had a bad experience there once. Definitely more relaxed and great to bring a couple friends and play pool.

Here for lunch on Halloween with many diners in costume for this festive occasion. Not just a kids holiday, lol!! Their Black & Blue Salad is awesome! Visiting from Florida and needed a fix!

Robin always takes care of our work crew when we come in. Great food selection. Great service. It gets pretty busy during lunch hour. Nice little games section (pool, darts, lottos).

Amazing Indiana tenderloin, Club sandwich and wings are all great. Drink prices are on average. Great little place to play some darts or pool and not too loud to have a conversation.

Great place. Great food. Took a little while to get our food. Nice server. Great tv viewing. Lots of nice to see from all seats.

Bartender was very rude he cater to his regular patrons. I'll never patronize Fort Pub ever again. I feel like he was prejudice.

Good food, service is typically good. Their taps could definitely be better, the beer isn't as cold as it should be

Big Ben burger was okay. Barely any flavor in the meat. Bunch of toppings but it was bland. Service was great tho.
