The staff seem friendly and the atmosphere is nice and welcoming. However they have no idea what they are doing including the owner. They told me they would be able to accomplish colour that I was hoping to have for my wedding. Because I was looking to have silver highlights I gave them 8 months to make sure I could get it where I wanted to. All they kept doing was adding toners to my hair. They ended up charging me well over &1500 over the course of 8 months and I had to use a box to dye my hair before the wedding because it was so bad. I went through every colour of the rainbow while they "tried" to get me where I wanted to be. They broke the hair all around my face so that it needed special care and pinning for the wedding and I still need to pin it to have a pony tail which is infuriating because I had worked so hard to have my hair long and even. When I went in one last time to get them to try and fix it, no longer willing to pay, the owner also touched up my roots and had the nerve to charge me for it. This was a horrible experience that cost me tons of time, money and stress as a bride. The owner kept telling me I would grow to like what he had done! Do not spend your money here! They will destroy your hair, keep telling you they can fix it, keep charging you, and leave you needing to dye your hair from a box for your wedding and have no empathy.

I have been getting pedicures for years now. Mainly at the little shops in strip malls. 40$ for a shellac pedicure and they spend an hour maticulously doing my feet and always looks beautiful. NEVER have they charged me for a shellac removal extra cost. So it was my cousins birthday and decided to maybe try Fortellis to make it a bit classier February 24th at 1:30. Well we sat in nice chairs alone which was nice, very quiet in that area, needed some soft music or something to make it more like a spa feel since it says “spa”. The two girls never smiled once, seemed annoyed that they had to remove my previous shellac polish And the lady that did my cousins toes, well she asked my cousin to lift her feet higher because she had a neck injury! So she had to be uncomfortable because the staff had a neck injury??? and then they rushed our shellac pedicures. My cousin was done before me, we were there maybe 50 minutes tops! They advertise a pedicure is 75 minutes.. hmmmm, that never happened and my bill was 175$! And they charged me for removal on my toes. I get much better service at the local nail places that are all over Oakville. Very disappointed and embarrassed I brought my cousin here for her birthday. Do not waste your money here!!!

I would like to take an opportunity to let the customers or the potential ones know that Fortelli's Salon an spa in Oakville is the worst place for anyone to go. they are horrible. My friend Michelle went there for her bridal make up and hair....probably her worst decision ever as they completely ruined her hair to a great extent, not only the people working there didn't do a good job (actually very horrible job) but they are lying and rude to her. They not only refused out-rightly for refund but also they lied to her all the time by telling her to come next time and fix it. She went numerous times but at the end she was not at all satisfied with her hair but also ruined her hair. She spent $1500, no hot water on hair all winter, top of the line color shampoo and treatment each costing her extra (not sure but should be around $80 - $90. Overall, one of her worst experience and the obviously the worst I have heard. The salon has basically ruined her wedding to a great extent and you all know if bride isn't satisfied with her thing on wedding then everything goes down the drain. GUYS AND GALS please look for any other salon as this one can be dangerous to your hair. WORST PLACE...0/5 RATING.

I wanted to experience a new hairstyle (one I saw in a movie) so I decided to venture off the normal mens barbershops and go for the salon experience. I walked into Fortelli's and was completely upset with my experience. I asked for a haircut but what I received was 20 thinning snips off the top and outline at the back, nothing was trimmed off the top nor did any tool touch the upper portion side of my hair. Therefore I was there for a total of 12- 15 minutes, received a rinse to wash out product and a few snips and was charged an alarming 30 dollars. That comes out to $120 dollars per hour. I have been to images salon, victors and joes barbershop, and kukapellis salons in Oakville and all actually do provide you with a great experience and quality of cut. I asked the person who was cutting my hair if they were satisfied with their work (a salonist should take pride in his-her work) and they responded with yes hence I will never come back to this place and will not recommend it to anyone unless they are willing to get ripped off and taken to the cleaners.

I needed a last minute appointment for hair extensions as I just got an awful haircut somewhere else that I needed fixing. They booked me in exactly when I needed it, they have the hair extensions in the store, they have so much supply and are very professional and knowledgeable. The man (possibly the owner) who did my hair was so good at it, so fast, and he did NOT have a lot to work with. After less than 3 hours my terrible haircut was fully invisible and I had long, beautiful, perfectly blended extensions. I’d never had extensions before so I shopped around before choosing this salon, they have the best price for the best quality of service. You can trust them 100% and know with confidence that they know what they’re doing. I couldn’t be happier with my hair, I’ve gotten so many compliments and people can’t stop telling me how shocked they are that it just looks like my real hair. I would give it 6/5 stars if I could, highly recommend! :)

I guess I should have read the reviews here because I just received the exact same service as Mario above. My entire experience, from walking in to walking out, was 16 minutes. That includes a wash (only water, so not more of a rinse I guess), and 'cut' and 'style'. I asked for a more popular men's cu(short on the sides, longer on top). The guy cleaned up the sides and back... and that's it. That's literally all that happened. He blow dried the rest of my hair on top, so the entire top of my head was not even touched at all. Came to $30, which, as Mario pointed out, is $120/hour for knowing how to use clippers. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I was the only one in the place, and this happened on a Friday afternoon. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come. No man should come to this place ever. The weird thing is that I've been to the Fortellis at Winston Churchill and Derry, and my service there has been spectacular every single time.

It took me a while to write a review but here it is! I ln 2014 I was looking for a salon that does hair extensions that are not damaging to your hair.. I lost a lot of my hair with lupus and have very fine hair now... my wedding was coming up and I was so embarrassed... I went for a consultation with rafeal sorry if I spelt your name wrong! He told me honestly what he is able to do for me... I went in to do my extensions he took his time he even cut the extensions in half to make them blend in better because my hair is so fine... he did a wonderful job I loved my hair at my wedding and looking at my wedding pic I always think of fortelli spa and how patient and understanding Rafael was thank you!

I have been to many salons over the years but I have to say my best experience is at Fortell Salon & Spa Oakville! I just started experimenting with dying my hair and after my first experience at Fortelli I always recommend them to friends and family. I have to say the best colourist they have is Stephanie. At first I didn't know what colour to do but she recommended that I pick red and it looks amazing. Everytime I go see her she always does an excellent job. She is professional and personable with all her clients. If you want a great colour job I highly recommend booking an appointment with Stephanie! You will not be disappointed!

After years of searching for a studio with skilled staff and high quality hair products, Fortelli hits the mark. I’ve been a client for the past 5 years and have *never* had a bad experience. I have long, very dark hair with layers of color on it, but when I decided to go lighter, Melissa took me down without compromising the integrity of my hair and achieved the exact look I was going for. The time is taken to really listen and consult before each appointment. I visit every 6 weeks, not because I need to, but because it is truly a great, relaxing experience and they keep my hair looking fresh and super healthy.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to have used a number of the services offered at Fortelli. Massage therapist, wonderful and claimed it through my Insurance, also I received a gift package from my husband and enjoyed a facial, massage, haircut and style when I left I felt and looked years younger. The staff is always friendly from beginning to end and have even been served coffee and homemade sweets while being groomed. I LOVE my stylist and even now having moved a long way away make a point of making an appt. when visiting the city. Miss the Wonderful service and staff. Cheyenne Glasford

I do not suggest this place at all. The hairdresser told me the price of her work is x dollar and I mentioned in the website it is 100 dollar cheaper than what she mentioned. She wanted to charge me 100$ more!!! And when the manager/supervisor came closer to hear our conversation, she started to act that she never said this and got the correct amount of money!!!! I was lucky. Also I asked her to trim my hair for 5 cm and she said short hair doesn't suit me and literally trim my hair 5 mm and charged me 90$! No respect to clients in this place.

Fortelli for Men is my current destination for haircuts. The salon has a men's side that is separate from the women's side next door. Call ahead to make an appointment as it can be busy. I tried several stylists before settling on one who does my hair the way I like it, but all three that I tried did a good job on the first attempt with me and I would go to any of them if I was unable to get my preferred stylist. If you are looking for a new place for men's haircuts, Fortelli is worth trying to see if they work for you.

I scheduled an appointment with Danielle online for the same day, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Having not had a haircut in over a year, I was a bit uncertain, but I showed Danielle a few haircut ideas I had in mind. Considering my thin hair and preference for a low-maintenance style, I appreciated her expertise in recommending the perfect haircut for me. Booking with her is an absolute pleasure due to her personable nature. Highly recommend :)

Ordered hair products for curbside pick up and the process was very easy and organized. A travel size hair butter was also added to my order free of charge which was extremely generous and very much appreciated. I will definitely continue to order products from here in the future. I had my haircut done by the second highest hairdresser, he rushed the job and left long hairdresser at the bottom. I went from long hair to a pixie cut. 2nd time I went to have it fixed he made it even shorter. The customer service was hoŕible and they were all laughing and staring at me.

Absolutely the best service of anywhere I have ever gone to get my hair done. Took my hair from dried out, frizzy and muted platinum to soft, healthy multi dimensional blonde. Maryanne is fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable in everything from hair extensions to colour and cut.

Editing my original 5 star review. The second and third visits were not as good as the first. There were blotches were colour wasn't applied and it didn't look very good. Expensive services for mediocre results. Will likely not return.

My hair and colour looked great! Maggie is amazing, it felt good to get a cut and colour after many months. The salon was clean and you felt comfortable in there with your coat covered in plastic and the staff always cleaning.

Tried to make an appointment for my grandson the answer was they don't have one. She didn't mention if not now or next year maybe! There are lots of salons in Oakville I would recommend them. One star is already too much.
