A welcoming and fun bar in the heart of Newtown, right across from the Enmore theatre. As such, it can be tough to get a seat on nights when there is a show at the theatre, but the hosts here do their darnedest to help you out. The quality of cocktails is excellent, as is their collection of scotch, gin and other assorted drinks. The staff are encyclopedic in their knowledge, have a chat to them if you don't know what you want and they'll come up with something to tickle your fancy.

Where should I start? Actually just went there because I was searching for a job, but ended up having the best (even if very short) evening in a long time! Even if I was without any friends I never felt lonely because the staff and manager are just awesome and do their absolute best to make you feel comfortable! Had some very nice conversations and even a beer and tequila shot for free, which was pretty awesome haha. Great people, great vibe, even better beer and cocktails- so just go there and try yourself :)

This has to be one of the best bars around. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel at home by the friendly staff. The whisky list was the surprise of the evening, such a great range to choose from and prices are so reasonable. If whisky is not your thing there is also an extensive range of other spirits and a great cocktail menu. Best part of the evening is the old bell ring and cheering whenever the bar is tipped. We need more places around like this. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Friendly and attentive staff, especially the lovely bartender who looked after us that night. She made the nicest cocktails and i love the Spicy Margarita & the smooth Long Island Iced Tea. Easily the best i’ve ever had and i’ve tried plenty from many places, so that speaks a lot. I’d come back here anytime for a cute date night out in (New)town. Walk in only, no booking, so come in early or risk waiting for seats / table.

This place was a real treat. We ducked in for pre dinner Margaritas and were so impressed we headed back after dinner. The staff are amazing - super friendly, warm and inviting - we felt like old mates by the time we eventually left. Not sure what to order? Ask Jason and be whisked away to taste bud paradise. The range is superb, the vibe was relaxed and fun. We will definitely be visiting again soon. Check em out, you wont be disappointed.

Talk about absolute charm. This bar has all the great vibes, from the moment I entered the door I was greeted with hipster warmth and charm..ontop of that the bar staff and mixologist were bloody awesome, there was no request they could not meet or fulfil. Amazing. This is a cracker of a local bar. The staff and owner are exceptionally warm and friendly and the service overall is tops. They know their product, they know what makes for a great vibe and they make you feel welcome, like it’s been your local forever. Good selection of beers, great cocktails and classic tunes. This is a bar you want to come back to.

We completed the cocktail menu list We found this place completely by mistake and have been regulars ever since! The music and the banter is spot onexactly what you want to either start off your weekend or winding down after a shift. They’re definitely not shy with their alcohol measures…oh and you HAVE to try the hot dogs

The service was absolutely impeccable and the vibe awesome. Loved how everyone made you feel like your custom was valued; all four of the team last night were friendly and up for a chat over delicious cocktails. Love having this place in my backyard. Who needs the city when places like Fortunate Son are so close by!

Seriously one of the greatest cocktail, whiskey, whatever bars you want to call it. Right opposite the Enmore Theatre. I love their Grasshoppers even if they ran out of pouring cream. The substitute worked well enough.

Most attentive and friendly service I've ever received from a bar - the bartenders were always quick to make drinks, and even quicker to notice when I was out and might want another. Their cocktail menu was massive, and everything I tried was delicious!

Bit of a go to bar for myself and fellow employees on our days off. Absolutely great knowledge on cocktails and making sure there’s a drink the favour your preferences. Staff are so lovely and friendly. Can’t fault these guys to a tee!
