"Negligent ordering and stocking of adequate materials"

So the employee in the garden department comes up to me today while I have at least 20 plants on my cart and says I'm sorry we are closing in 15 minutes I need to ask you to leave this area so I can bring the carts in. Hello ......you are open for 15 more minutes don't tell me to quit shopping when I'm obviously shopping and not just wandering through the store wasting your time and mine. He didn't ask if I needed help or suggest that were about to close so I could speed shop. I almost walked away and left my plants. Then, at the checkout, I asked a different employee if they carried an item and was told .... not shown where I could find it. Which I didn't find despite finding similar items. Again at checkout obviously without said item... none of the 5 asked it I needed help with finding it. ... very disappointing. There were 2 who were more interested in working than their cellphones and I love the convenience which is why I still gave it a 3. By the way, I was checked out, loaded and home before closing time...and they lost probably $20 in sales. I will only ever shop here as a last resort in the future.
Negligent ordering and stocking of adequate materials. I needed a 1/2” cooper coupling, but they were out of singles and tried to sell me a 10 pack. I requested they open the package, sell me one, and replace it with another single once they had more. They refused. All in all it cost me $75 in lost productivity to finish the project I was doing. I then went to Hudson Hardware, and talked with the guy who owns that store. He said he will always open a multi-pack of products and sell a single, higher profit margin per unit! I would give Fratralone’s zero stars if I could, and Hudson hardware ten stars.
Hey, the staff aren't as knowledgeable as they could be but, let's face it, they're also not paid as much as a contractor. So, don't expect them to be as knowledgeable as one! Do your own research online, go to the store and find what you need! They're great for that! Just don't ask 'em what tool you need to refinish the hole you just put in your wall cause you outta know that BEFORE you go to Ace! It's a great li'l neighborhood hardware store, is not a Menards or Home Depot- so don't expect it to be.
Ah, it's ok. It's a store with people that work there and that's about it. It's not neighborly and the owner is over exhuberant about potential thieves, to the point of which it is a bit offensive. Lots of locked up displays and I was even asked to remove my backpack, which was not going to happen, I said no way. No one would ask a lady to leave her purse behind the counter, would they? I miss the other hardware store on East Lake, that was great, but had to close down. The folks there were nice.
I love this place! They have everything you could possibly need except for lumber. Their fastener selection is really quite good. Whenever I walk in they greet me and walk me to the items that I need. If I have a list, they ask for my list and help me get the items as fast as possible. Now, whenever I need something I go here instead of Big Orange. I'm really happy to be supporting this store - their customer service is amazing. Plus, they're dog friendly (you can shop with your pooch).
I’m always so thankful to have such a great local hardware store — always has what I need and I’ve never had a bad experience with the staff. If I’m in an aisle pondering which is the right tool or fastener or product, they always offer to help. Today was a perfect example—I needed to replace a random screw from a light fixture. Sure enough — they had what I needed and I only had to buy 1. Highly recommended.
This freindly neighborhood hardware store is awesome. They literally have everything with great brand names. I always come here in the summer for plants for the garden. The plant prices are way cheaper than gardening stores and the quality of plants are exceptional too. Little secret during the holiday season they have the fairest priced xmas trees around!
This is a great store for stuff that you need to pick up in a hurry or for a job where you forgot to pick up something at the superstore in the burbs. The selection is good for a neighborhood store and staff is always ready to help. Parking is easy to get to and there is always enough space; but they could use a rack for bicycles.
Staff assisted me right when I got in the door but i couldnt tell if they were worried I would steal or if they wanted to help. I hate going to big box stores but I'm followed around less. My wife gave me a hug list & the staff got the 1st thing I asked for & walked me to the register. I just went to menards for the rest.
Usually have a fair assortment of items for all my hardware and/or canning needs. The employees have been fairly helpful and guided me towards what I was looking for but couldn't adequately describe. It lost the Ace brand but I have been pleased with the lower cost house brands that they offer now.
Why do smaller hardware stores, insist on following you about mindlessly mumbling their mantra 'can I help you find anything?'. I appreciate them asking, bit once, twice us enough. BTW when you heard me as if you're wrangling cats you often loose a minimum $50.00 US. If I wonder I spend money...
Busy parking lot, but not overly crowded in the store. Easy in and out. People picking up gardening supplies, potting soil, and house repair items. Great neighborhood place to go when you are in the middle of a project and realize you don't have what you need to finish!
Good place with friendly service for your Hardware needs. One thing I really liked about it is that you can order stuff from Ace Online and then pick it up there at the store when they don't have things in stock or when they do have things in stock it doesn't matter.
I always enjoy going to this hardware store. The employees are knowledgeable and helpful. There's a tremendous amount of selection given the size of the store that can make it feel crowded, but if I can avoid going to Menards or Home Depot it's totally worth it.
I love all hardware stores. How refreshing is it to be able to make an entire lap through the store in under 2 minutes, unlike a larger store like Home Depot, whereby after completing the same circuit, one is left dazed and confused and in need of a shave...
This is a great local hardware store. It's always my first stop for projects around my house. The staff is very friendly and really knowledgeable. They are more than willing to help everytime I stop in. They also have the best variety of sodas in the area!
I actually enjoy stopping in here. The staff are friendly and helpful, and generally they have a good supply of hardware and home-related products. Prices are higher than the big boxes, as to be expected, but it's worth it for the convenience.
Quick and efficient and really friendly ... They are doing the best they can during this weird time. It would have been nice to know that only certain registers could handle cash transactions during this time before going through the entire
Friendly and helpful staff ever time I’ve been there. We also bought some paint not realizing it was 15 minutes before close on Labor Day and the woman/manager I believe worked incredibly fast to get all the paint ready with great attitude!
Right when I walked in Derrick was at the entrance to great me. He was very helpful, helping me find the items that I needed! He even carry the 40 leaf bags to my car for me! I left with a smile! Thats what I call great service!
Derrick is a gem. He is very helpful and goes the extra mile. He DOES know what he doing. That type of customer service is why you go to a neighborhood ACE instead of the big box stores. Other employees could learn from him.
The epitome of a neighborhood hardware store! They are friendly, knowledge, and have a wide selection of all things home. They've helped me many time over the years, and I'm always happy to go to Frattallone's Ace Hardware.
Such a friendly staff who go out of their way to help, and the store has a fairly decent selection of goods as well! My dog always gets a treat when we go visit for whatever random part I need for the day's project.
You are not allowed to shop you need to ger what you need and leave they are very rude anout it last time i was there they said i have to leave because spent too much time looking and they dont know what the sell
Lately at the Lake Street store we have been served by knowledgable FEmales, like Sherry who swiftly, deftly opened my car-key case to replace its battery..SO grateful to her and others over the years..
The people there go out of their way to be helpful. Their screw collection is good but not great; if you are looking for matching replacement screws for old house hardware the choices are limited...
Love having this hardware store in my neighborhood. Staff is always eager to help find just the right part for you. Great selection of plants in the summer and evergreens in the winter. …
I called a head to make sure they had what I was looking for, Darryl was so helpful and pleasant, once I got there all the employees were very friendly and helpful, I will definitely go back
Convenient for me and very helpful staff. Prices are usually lower than the bigger home improvement stores. Obviously less options, but makes sense as they don't take up a whole city block.
I'm always surprised at there selection. I start my shopping thinking I'll drive to Home Depot if they don't have what I need. Only once has that ever happened. In and out with what I need!
Friendly, helpful folks. They will do their best to help you find what you need and they will special order stuff if you need it. We shop here a lot and it's always been a good experience
Best place to go here in South Minneapolis I think I've been going there since they opened people are always nice very helpful all around great place in great people can't wait to go back
Everyone working when I arrived this morning was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had no idea where to start with a home improvement project, and they helped me get everything I need!
So much better than going to Home Depot where you'll never get someone to help. This is place to go to get fast and friendly service. All the guys on the floor know their stuff too.
For a local hardware store yes you pay a little more, but they have what you need right next door and you are helping a local family survive and not corporate big wigs get rich
Had a last minute concrete need. These folks we're very friendly and able to provide the amount I needed to complete my job site. Very satisfied with the customer service.
Went in for a small item and only had a 100 on me to pay they said it was a slow day and couldn't accept it for payment. Since when is cash not an acceptable? Ridiculous!
Friendly staff always ready to help you out to find what you're looking for. This is a good south Minneapolis neighborhood hardware store for your home and garden needs.
Fantastic customer service in a jam packed hardware store. Sharpening service is avail. as is key making, paint mixing, and rentals of certain tools. Call to inquire.
Great place for women to shop! They have personal protective equipment in smaller adult and kids sizes! The staff is helpful, and they almost always have what I want.
Wonderful place to go than shopping at major place..easy parking..they will help load your vehicle n great customer service care as you enter just ask of your needs
Close to home, very convenient and I can walk there. I've bought plants there that were really hardy, however, I did have 1 that died and they refunded no problem.
Pricey for me, but I am glad it's there. I prefer shopping local smaller stores. They did have everything I needed which was awesome and service was fantastic.
OMG !! I LOVE COMING HERE !! THEY ARE THE BEST !!!! Always so helpful, get what I need every time I go. Love this store and staff !! ACE IS THE PLACE !!!!!!
Had glass cut, picked up some glazing, bought a Christmas tree trimmed to size—found repair parts I needed, when I needed them. Woman-owned and operated.
There will always be nice people to help you with what you need. I have never spent more than 5 minutes to get what I want. The staff are knowledgeable.
My favorite hardware store. Customer service consistently beats any place I've ever been to. Very knowledgeable and quick service if you need help.
It's the only place I go for Christmas trees! Brought my kids into the tradition this year. Very well-kept store as are all of the Frattallone's
Every person working there knows exactly where everything is. Whether it is plumbing, electrical, or whatever it is. They know where it is.
Found everything I need, but was it really necessary for everyone to ask me if I needed anything? Sometimes I just want to browse.
Lover this place. You walk in the door, someone is always there to help you! It’s big enough to have most stuff. Very nice staff.
Great staff, as expected. Ace is one of the last places to go when you aren't sure what you need and must have random hardware.
I love frattallones. The people who work there are very helpful and nice, And they will answer your questions about most things
Most of the time they have what I need, and the times they did not they have helped me figure out another way to get it done.
I mean it's an Ace, they have less and are more expensive then say Home Depot but they're also much closer and locally owned
Extra-helpful and knowledgeable staff, friendly. Store is well-stocked and has everything a hardware store needs to have.
I come here too often, but each time I do the staff are incredibly helpful. One could say... They... Ace it everytime.
Delightful hardware store. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. And they are more than happy to help you.
Great place to find parts for old homes that the big boxes don't carry. Friendly staff that available to help.
Everyone is very helpful and in good spirits. Somehow they all know exactly where everything this. Good place.
They had exactly what I wanted. The staff person, Colleen, had a great sense of humor and was very helpful.
They were able to help me find what I wanted and I was very happy Glad Ace hardware is in my neighborhood
Good service every time I stop here. Don't let the underlit parking lot fool you. They are open at night!
Very helpful. Knew right where everything i was looking for was, i was in and outta there lickedy split.
They still had Christmas tree lights...when most everyone is already out! Friendly and helpful staff.
I tried to buy Chevy car keys here. They didn't seem to have the blanks for my Impala which is fine.
Great selection, super helpful staff. Edit: still true. Knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff.
Got help matching paint. Jake was friendly and knew what he was doing. No wait and well done.
Great shop! Always ready to help, and almost always have what I need for weekend projects.
Knowledgeable and always willing to help. Small shop, but they have a great selection .

Helpful and friendly staff. They always have what I need. Free off-street parking.
Excellent! Great hardware selection, competitive pricing and friendly associates.

Very knowledgeable and helpful. As long as they have it I won't go anywhere else.
