Gas station
"There should be an option for ZERO stars"
"BE WARNED, not only slow service but dangerous! Saturday morning 9/25, 9am"
"Edit, still atrocious service, says they're open at 6 am and close at 11, its 6:30 and they say they don't open till 7, change your hours so we don't drive out of our way for nothing, how hard is it to update your hours? Not every day but once a year? No thats too much to ask for from little children who are being g managed by slightly older children, very unprofessional Very poor service, cars jumping line, cars blocking the street of a RESIDENTIAL street causing problems for US who live here"
"Holy moly, this is by far the worst gas station I’ve ever been to"
"WHY WOULD THEY ADVERTISE 24 HOURS OPEN EVERY DAY WHEN THEY VERY MUCH ARE NOTTTTTT! And why would someone post that they are open 24 hours a life saver? As I am literally in a life saving need mode right now! I am literally out of gas, I came here last night at 10:20pm and they were already closed! I don’t have enough gas to get back home so I am parked down the street waiting for them to open this morning, I went to check what time they open, read the 24 hours and someone’s review and immediately drove over here at 4:46am and everything is closed down and all pumps say closed I can’t even do it myself"
There should be an option for ZERO stars. I have been a life long customer of Fred Meyer stores and we still frequent the grocery stores daily. Using this gas station to utilize my 'discount' off per gallon is simply not worth it. The employees are not just slow. They are dismissive and beyond oblivious to the urgency of their customers. I am astounded that Fred Meyer / Kroger permits these people to represent their brand. It is offensive to all the hard work that the other 99% of Fred Meyer employees exhibit in the stores. There seems to be no oversight whatsoever. The lines will be 15 cars long and the employees will wander off to their break area and just stand around talking to each other. Yesterday, after waiting 20 minutes (I was the third car in line) I pumped my own fuel...at the request of the employee! Hey I'm good with that, except I think it is against the law. He then stood by and had a 10 minute discussion with another person about how to steal catalytic converters from cars and resell them for profit. Nice touch, Freddy's. Thanks for the tip. Good lord. Maybe get rid of gas-pumping employees and let the rest of us service our own vehicles. These three guys looked like they are on heroin or some sort of elephant tranquilizer. (See photo of employee basically passing out while hanging on to the fuel pump for support. Get this guy to rehab!) As a courtesy, I have attempted to contact Fred Meyer corporate customer service three times. I have received ZERO contact in response and the service continues to be abhorrent. I am not a person to complain for one-off poor service. But consider I just took 5 minutes of my day to share this information. This location makes you feel like you are on a hidden camera show and waiting for customers to explode with impatience.
BE WARNED, not only slow service but dangerous! Saturday morning 9/25, 9am. I finally pull up in the #2 position at the pump. First the attendant had the car in the #1 position attempt to get closer to the pump for 5 minutes and had them shut off to fill. (They were not closer to the pump after this attempt and maybe even further away!) After starting their fill, I expected him to start mine but he wandered off and helped other vehicles. He took so long that he came back to finish the car in the #1 position. Being decent, I pulled up to the #1 position where I too was asked if I could get closer to the pump. I have a small Honda and I know the hoses can stretch across trucks. I was not rude but said no, that I have waited long enough. I was only getting a quarter tank fill up to complete a trip out of town without stopping for fuel on the journey. The attendant started my fill and I gave my rewards phone number. He asked if I wanted my 40 cents off and I said no (wanting to save it for a fill up of my larger vehicle). He filled my tank and I left for my trip. Come to find out the next day, my gas light cap light comes on and I opened it to find it had not been put back on! It was completely off! Not only that, but I also found out he used my $.40 off too for the couple gallons I got! This is the worst customer service I have ever had in my life and I am thankful I was not in an accident on the freeway with my gas tank uncapped! Fred Meyer-this attendant should not be representing you!
Edit, still atrocious service, says they're open at 6 am and close at 11, its 6:30 and they say they don't open till 7, change your hours so we don't drive out of our way for nothing, how hard is it to update your hours? Not every day but once a year? No thats too much to ask for from little children who are being g managed by slightly older children, very unprofessional Very poor service, cars jumping line, cars blocking the street of a RESIDENTIAL street causing problems for US who live here. Constantly coned off during business hours, no signs to say anything which is just bad customer service, are you closed or on break, did you run out of gas SAY SOMETHING to the dozens and dozens of people you're turning away, again touching on poor customer service, there's times there's one person running around. We were next but then he went to help two new comers first, after 15 minutes of waiting WE went to him, "what are you doing, we are next" he walked away and eventually we found out they were NOT ACCEPTING cash as their supervisor was on break, this is horribly managed, this is entry level workers doing a job that needs a supervisor, so why does it seem like it's being ran by a 15 year old? Its not rocket science. Gotta be some of the most disrespectful workers, let's just jump around on our chairs and act like idiots because our boss/father isn't here to tell us what to do...thats what it looks like to the casual observer...sounds like a skatepark not a gas station
Holy moly, this is by far the worst gas station I’ve ever been to. I only come here when I’ve got 30 minutes to spare and am too lazy to drive further for gas. It was inefficient service pre-pandemic before labor shortages; since then it is the absolute slowest place. At most are half of the pumps open. The attendants have no hustle and stand around waiting for one car to finish instead of going to hook up a new car and get it going. The system goes down every other time I am there, and the attendants have no idea how long it will take. Unlike most modern stations that have hoses that can reach either side of the car, these can only reach the near side. Of course there are no signs that explain this so, as you’re waiting in your slower-than-molasses line, you can watch multiple cars try to pull up to an empty pump, have the attendant come explain this, and watch them have to drive around and find a new lane. Today’s visit took 27 minutes to get to the pump with two cars in front of me. It then took another 6 minutes before the attendant started pumping gas. Sitting at the pump was actually pretty quick and was done in 3 minutes. The prices can be good with your Freddie’s discount but your time is probably worth the extra 5 cents a gallon to go elsewhere. If someone ever wants to gather signatures to allow Oregonians to pump their own gas, just come here. They’d be able to pitch each car and gather signatures before Freddie’s even finishes pumping one car.
WHY WOULD THEY ADVERTISE 24 HOURS OPEN EVERY DAY WHEN THEY VERY MUCH ARE NOTTTTTT! And why would someone post that they are open 24 hours a life saver? As I am literally in a life saving need mode right now! I am literally out of gas, I came here last night at 10:20pm and they were already closed! I don’t have enough gas to get back home so I am parked down the street waiting for them to open this morning, I went to check what time they open, read the 24 hours and someone’s review and immediately drove over here at 4:46am and everything is closed down and all pumps say closed I can’t even do it myself. WHY IS THIS PLACE SOOOO HORRIBLE WITH HOW THEY CONDUCT BUSINESS. I literally hate this gas station and the employees are a joke at best, but yet I have $1.00 coupon savings coming my way per gallon and I am I a broke dire situation being the only reason I am holding up waiting to get gas at this ridiculous excuse for an actual business. WHY ARE THEY HOURS POSTED AS I OPEN 24 Hours?! They change the hours on here regularly and then change them In person to contradict as well. It’s a cruel practice & I have half a mind to report them to the better business bureau because this place is the worst, as per all the reviews agree and say. F this gas station & anyone who works here or especially “runs or owns” it! Big middle finger to you all.
Of course if you live in Wilsonville you go to the Fred Meyer fuel station especially to get your reward money taken off the price of gas. However most of us get gas either on the way to work or on the way home from work or on the way to take our kids to school or whatever we have to do for the day and unfortunately I cannot do that anymore because on average in the last two months I I can honestly say that it took 20 minutes of waiting in line at least every time and I just don't have the time to do that. When we get gas we expect to pull and get gas and pull out. However this gas station has completely gone downhill. I went inside and asked to speak to the manager about the extremely long lines and why only four pumps out of 15 were open and why there was three employees in the store and only one employee out pumping gas. The manager just continue to say that they were short on staff but like I said there's always multiple employees inside the store and only one to two employees outside pumping gas and never are all the pumps open. It's unfortunate but I have to find a new gas station to go to as I don't have the time or patience in my day to spend 20 minutes at a gas station
Worst experience at any gas station ever. I hope you don’t EVER get Sean. He’s the ALL time worst worker there with the worst attitude. His coworkers even said without even bringing him up that they don’t like his work ethic & attitude. He humiliated me & my family in front of others because we had a rental car and didn’t realize we drove to the wrong side. And told us to get back in a 30 min line again to get the pump to the correct side while our 1 yr old son was in the back hungry and we didn’t have gas to find another gas station. Moments later opening another lane right next to us and ushering people that just arrived to the pump in front of us. And while we were leaving he went out of his way to walk over and tell us we would be stupid enough to drive in reverse on the freeway. I would drive 30 mins out of the way if it guaranteed I didn’t have to ever be treated like Sean treated us nor see him ever again.
The only time the service here is decent is at night when there’s barely any customers. I’ve never dealt with such slow gas station attendants.at least 4 lanes are closed off, and I waited in line for some 15-17 minutes to get to the pump when there was only three cars ahead of mine. Two at the pump and one in front of me. When I get to the pump I’m then told to go to another pump, at the end of the line to have to wait again. I wait another 20 minutes again with only three cars in front of me, to finally get to the pump and the attendant gives me regular instead of premium and doesn’t use my number for discounts. Pumping gas isn’t hard and if I wasn’t on 1 mile left on my range in my car, I wouldn’t have stayed here to give them my business.
This place is always slow and disorganised. Every time I come here, there is someone that's incompetently doing something other than being helpful. They need to have a plan that provides some efficiency, because all I see are unskilled workers, running around trying to get the job done, but very ineffectively. I know they're trying - They just need direction. Currently been waiting on a "pumper" for five minutes... It's ALWAYS like this 6 years later and still impossibly slow. Dude seriously put a nozzle in a car, then in another car, then went to another car, relived their nozzle, went to the first car to check if it was ready, then came to my car to start the process. I think I'm leaving somehow before the secomd car (in front of me).
This used to be a solid gas station: good prices, decently fast service. The last few times I've come, though, they've been severely understaffed, extremely busy, and have had only two or three lanes (less than half of the the total) open. I understand that staffing shortages are a problem everywhere, and recognize that the workers are doing the best they can in a tough situation. Today, the wait time was at least 20 minutes (on a Sunday afternoon), only three lanes were open, the traffic stretched out onto the street, and the only two workers there were having to try and direct traffic on top of of everything else. I honestly don't think Fred Meyer has enough staff to run this place safely. I won't be going back.
Been fueling my ride for years here folks. Never a disappointment. Sometimes there is a bit of a line here and there but it's worth it to know my wheels are rolling on clean petrol. The employees are so nice. At times they almost have a "workin' at the carwash" vibe rockin', which I enjoy. Prices are always great! Bit of warning. Going there at night can get a little sketchy. Last time I was there at night, I looked away for a sec' and turned back to find some dude trying to climb in my car through the open window. I retired from the MMA after 30 years, so I easily handled the situation. Good rule of thumb in Portland. Never take your eyes away from a open window at night. They are always waiting. Watching.
This is a pretty standard Fred Meyer, however I write this review because there is one particular Guy who works at this Fuel Center who Just doesn't seem to care about anything. The other day I came here and stopped for him to cross the street, He didn't even wave instead. He just smirked and kept walking. Today. He assisted me at the fuel pump, when I handed him my money he acted as if there was something wrong he didn't ask if I wanted to use my rewards card, which everyone always does, then he asked if I wanted a receipt and didn't even bother to say have a good day, Just close my lid and walk. He's a young black man looks to be about 18, next time this happens. I will be talking to the manager.
I don’t know what’s going on with this gas station, but 90% of the time I’ve stopped by in the last month during open hours, they’ve been closed. If they’re open, they have 2-4 pumps running, and very slowly. They won’t let the hoses stretch to the other side of the car now, per corporate apparently, which jams things up extra. It’s slower than ever to get up to the pump and through the process. During the fires we were able to pump our own gas…is there any way to enable that again since I’ve been reading about staff shortages being part of the issue? Maybe for when they close early at the very least? It’s only for proximity that I come here, but I’ll be driving elsewhere from now on.
It's a gas station, it's owned by fred meyer, and it's in a weird part of barbur blvd. I tended to fuel up here after it was constructed and opened because it was close to my old office and I liked that they actually had attendents. Some places have like 1 attendant out in the area servicing all vehicles. This is truly an oregon only issue because of our gas station laws however they had like 5 people out which was awesome because even if there was a line there was enough of them out there to service everyone and get vehicles out in a timely fashion. As far as gas stations go it's hard to pass up using this one cause it's at least ran efficiently and isn't far out of the way.
They're OK. Kind of slow but They have good gas good prices.( update ) Well I'm sick of driving up to Fred Meyer gas station to get gas on Sunday for work for the week. just to realize that they're temporarily closed because their systems are down. I live in Tigard. It happens way too often. It's not convenient when this happens. And apparently you can't stretch the hose anymore to pump the gas on the opposite side of your car. Don't know why. When everybody else does it. I mean you guys are slow enough as it is! I try to be patient. Just somebody that's frustrated with them. It's happened way too many times. Fix the problem Fred Meyers please!!
The worst customer service ever. While some of the attendants are really nice more than half of them are incredibly rude. Apparently the rules and regulations in this Station are different from every other station in the state - they demand you give them your credit card pin! If you dare to try entering it yourself they scream you're not allowed to touch the pump and refuse to serve you. They claim they manager told them to do this - weird because this isn't the policy or practice at any other Fred Meyer or Oregon gas station I've been in. Manager never seems to be there to talk to! Good thing Costco gas is just up the road!
They are ALWAYS incredibly slow, rude, never pay attention and very lazy. That's harsh to say, but every single time I go here, it's the same experience and nothing changes. There's always a huge line, they serve others who aren't waiting as long, and are routinely out of gas or just closed at peak hours. One time I asked if they take cash or just card (I had both) and the kid said "Well yeah, but I'd prefer card so I don't have to walk over to the booth." Are you kidding me?? The booth that's 15ft away? Unreal. Who's hiring and training these people to work here??
In late 2021 and early 2022, this location became so badly run that it made the FM "fuel points" almost worthless. Always long lines, with a new policy that doesn't allow the hose to be stretched to the opposite side. 80% of cars have the gas cap on the left (driver's side), but you can approach the pump from only one direction, so the left side of almost every pump is empty while long lines stretch onto the street. And the employees are s-l-o-w. FM could solve this problem but no one seems interested. Maybe waiting for Oregon voters to approve "pump your own" gas?
I pulled into the gas station. The sign on the pump said enter the guy was standing there and instead of helping me, she helped the lady just pull in next to me on the other side. Once he’s done with her, he proceeds to come over and then tell me that they’re not allowed to Stretch the pumps over the cars anymore. I looked at him and I said well you shouldn’t have a enter sign on there then should you at that point he looked at me and just said I don’t have to help you so as you can imagine I didn’t get gas here. Worst customer service ever.
This is a gas station. It works exactly as gas stations do. You drive up to a pump, the attendant comes to help, you pay, you get your car filled with fuel, then you leave. There is a little centre kiosk where you can buy snacks and drinks and other assorted small items. The gas here is less expensive than at any other nearby stations. There are window washing supplies is you wish to give your windows a quick wash while filling. There are quite a few pumps and lanes and the station always seems well staffed so getting a fill is usually fast.
No indoor facilities. Other than a select number of snacks and drinks. I believe cigarettes as well but I'm not a smoker so please dont quote me on that. Also, I wouldn't count on a restroom, although i could be mistaken. Multiple, unidirectional lanes used quickly and efficiently by the hard working fuel attendants. Even when understaffed they still manage to turn & burn gas patrons almost as quickly as we can line up. We appreciate their hustle! This review is of the property located near SW Barbur Blvd. and SW 24th Ave. in SW Portland.
It's great having a station with good prices in the Multnomah Village area! All the other gas station prices are quite a bit higher- probably due to their location next to the I-5 freeway. Fred Meyers fuel prices are consistently 10-15 cents lower than nearby stations. The area is well lit. The only things that aren't great: the intersection to access the gas station is kind of tricky, and doesn't handle lots of traffic well, and I wish they had free air/water. But it's pretty rare to find any gas stations with free air these days.
Understaffed. If you have time to kill, it’s one of the better prices in the area. The service here has been trash-tier since covid started, and the restrictions easing up haven’t led to a rebound. The staff are still rude, and strolling around like they aren’t doing a job. Pass. Edit: tried to give them another shot on my way to work a few days ago, 7-730am… 4 pumps (two pumps, two sides each), one attendant - still moving like he doesn’t have a care in the world, line of cars almost out to the street. Fool me twice… Shame on me.
Worst service ever.. would not put hose over my vehicle like the sign says it could. Then they stood and laughed at me while I had to wait in a line while that spot was empty. Then, when it was my turn to pull up, one walked away on his cell, the other two went to other vehicles. Again, making me wait until he was off his phone. I get policy, they said the manager does not allow it....but put up a sign or something, and don't blame the customers frustration and laugh at them and make them wait longer. Just rude.
The absolute worst Fred Meyer Fuel Stop!!! I have attempted to get gas here five times and have succeeded only once! Twice it has been closed for lunch because all employees take lunch at the same time! This last time, I was informed that the hoses will not reach over the car at this location so I had to go around again and wait in line a second time. When I finally got to the pump again, the scanner was out of order so I couldn't use my dollar off. Never again!!! Go somewhere else even if it costs more!
Wow! The rudest kid filled up my tank at this location. I’ve never left a bad review in my life. He asked me to move forward, which I did. Then he continued to tell me that I was rude and that it’s “just common curtesy” to pull to a different spot. I originally parked in a spot that I thought would keep HIM out of the rain, but I guess I got it wrong and I’ve never been spoken to like that at any Fred Meyer. He was kinda skinny, maybe 5 9ish and looked like he was 17. So rude.
Terrible service. They stole money from my account by not listening and verifying the $ amount I asked for, which I clarified twice verbally and twice with my fingers. Refused to issue reverse debit so my account doesn’t bounce. Then they had the audacity to argue about how much gas I asked for. Rude, abysmal customer service, can’t do basic maths. Over all pretty typical Fred Meyers experience. They have gone way down hill since Kroger took over.
So the line is out of the lot yet there are at least 4 closed lanes. They are pumping out of order of arrival and the gas attendants are standing at each car and pumping one at a time. So far it's been a 20 minute wait. Not to mention the listed online price is not the same as the sign. I my case online says 2.96 and I was charged 2.99. Also super inappropriate images of ladies in their underwear taking selfies at the station.
Disappointing! Today no one helping customers as young man said he was looking for his person in charge before he could give us gas ⛽️ a line of cars awaiting for this lame excuse. A few minutes later person in charge shows up saying oh sorry “I fell asleep in my van.” Wth he’s a person in charge “pic”. Omg Seems like some improvement could be gained by this as a learning experience for persons that come to work.
The attendants here do NOT know anything. The refused to use my rewards card, fuel discount , if paying with a gift card. Even argued the point so i called around and all other fm fuels said of course you can use your discount , ie rewards card when paying witb a gift card. Except Raleigh hills and they were rude about it like i was asking them to do something out of the ordinary Won't be going back anytime soon
I've come here three times now. Routinely one of the slowest people on Earth is working while the line stretches out onto the street. I've never seen more than two lines out of eight open, it's just ridiculous. Hire some new people, there is one guy here in the middle of the day. This is the most inefficient place I've ever had the displeasure to stop at. I have been here for 30 minutes and I still have no gas.
The guy pumping gas ask me if i wanted him to fill my reserve as well as my tank. Now come on...i knew better...after he punped 2 gallons down the breather tube it smelt like he pumped it straight into my car.i told him to stop it was hard to breeth he said oh boy you should take it to the dealer they may have that blocked off for ya...sorry mam have a nice day. I drove off leaving a trail behind me
Lack of stars is mainly due to them closing early so often, yet they keep their lights on so it looks from Barbur like they're still open. Very annoying :( Wait lines always long, one of your workers purposely screws with the customers which is INFURIATING, but oh well, however most of the other staff are relatively friendly and you can tell they're trying, seems like a stressful job.
As a former fuel center employee I was very disappointed. The fuel center I was a lead at would have never been permitted to preform like this. 6 out of 14 of the pumps were closed off with cones. The employees seemed to be only capable of dealing with one vehicle at a time. First employee could figure out my card was not being read took a second to tell him to ask for another card.
Do not use this fuel center if possible. They don't give 10c off if you earned it. They randomly selected the amount for prepay with my cash card without clarifying. When I talked to the store about it they said to speak with a manager. That worked once. The second time I was told I had an attitude because I was upset that they prepaid 20 without asking when I wanted 40.
My friend and I stopped to get some candy and soda at 10:20. They close at 11 and were trying to gate off the snacks as we were looking at them. My friend got annoyed and said let’s go somewhere and left a door to the candy slightly ajar. The attendant slammed it and glared at him. It was all very unpleasant. This is were I usually get my gas too so I’m super bummed.
Like the review said, it's ok, not GREAT...not HORRIBLE, just ok. I give my answer because of the PRICES. I am of the opinion that WE as a country should be more akin to our ancestors and less like we have become with an iPhone in every pocket and an Android in every purse. It's very upsetting the way the world is developing as of late. So again I say, it was "ok"
I get everywhere is short staff. Seriously just close this gas station. If your gas tank is on the left(which most are) you wait forever because they will not stretch the hose over. No signs, you find out once you get to the pump. But the service is so bad. So rude! Zero customer service. Head down 99 to Costco. Yes lines also but at least you get great service!
This is certainly not as affordable as several of the area Arco stations, but after the Fred Meyers rewards discount, it comes out to be close to Arco's price per gallon and even less if you get 15 cents or more off per gallon. There are usually lines at every pump but they have several attendants and keep everybody moving. The staff is always fast and friendly
I feel so bad for these employees. 20 cars waiting and only two on duty. 14 pumps at this site with only 5 open. Unfortunately this seems to be the case at all Fred Meyers. I like using my points but don’t like being inconvenienced and unfortunately not all customers understand patience so employees are constantly being put in difficult situations.
DO NOT GO HERE!!! HALF IF NOT MORE OF THE PUMPS ALWAYS HAVE CONES IN FRONT OF THEM. THEY WILL NOT STRETCH THE HOSE. EVERY OTHER FRED MYERS FUEL STATION WILL EXCEPT THIS ONE AND THERE ARE NO SIGNS SO WHEN YOU GET TO THE PUMP THEY SEND YOU TO THE BACK OF THE LINE. THEY ARE RUDE ABOUT IT ALSO. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE TURNED INTO A COSCO FUEL CENTER.
Have stopped allowing both sides to be gassed on. So waited 10 minutes just to have to go back in line and wait again, could've warned me in line. Leaves half of the pumps empty. And tries to close at 8 even though the website says 10. On top or that even getting there before 8 the staff is trying to close early to catch an early bus.
I have been coming here for over a year and find consistently that the people who work there are very polite and friendly and do a good job. I noticed that many of them are there for long periods of time which is unusual for a gas station. It suggests to me that they are keeping their employees happy and that is good for customers.
This is actually the worst fuel center I've ever been to. It's routinely closed, or the pumps aren't working and they can't pump gas. There are somehow only like 3 people who work here and so service is incredibly slow. Just pretend this gas station doesn't exist, because every time you need it, they won't be able to service you.
This is the worst run, poorly staffed FM fuel station in the area. There’s always a huge line and only 2 workers. They are not in a hurry to do anything. They block off half the pumps so they don’t have to walk across the station to serve customers. This forces the line goes out onto the street. Plan to spend 20 minutes here.
Cheapest gas in town even before the discount you get using the rewards car. It gets busy at times but there are plenty of pumps so it goes pretty quick and the pumps reach around the cars so you can pull into any even if your gas cap is on the opposite side. It's a shame they don't allow their employees to accept tips though
This is my neighborhood gas station and I DREAD going here. Every time I go there they only have 2 or 3 pumps open and the lines are backed up onto the main street. The attendants just stand around and talk to one another or gaze into the distance while cars are fueling when they could be working other pumps. HORRIBLE.
Closed off entirely 4/5 times I go there. Even when it is open, most of the lanes are blocked with cones. How hard can this possibly be? I went to ask what was up when they were "closed" and found two employees sitting around waiting for their coworker to come back from break. ?? Never seen a place run like this.
Not sure what happened. I’ve worked in the area for years. They use to be great, but post-covid, going here is a nightmare. They rarely have more than 4-6 of their 14 pumps open, and have lines backed out onto the street because of it. They are, without a doubt, the slowest, most mismanaged fueling station around
They don’t stretch the hose for fueling” corporate charging the rules “ this is Ty most slow mowing fueling station, yo Freddy! Your customer service sucks at fuel centers, there are more pumps but not in use! Plus guys is comes to windows to pick up your card , he is not wearing a mask, coughing and spitting!
Service is super inconsistent and usually poor. A few weeks ago I pulled up and this guy was full on eating a sandwich, took my card, put it in and didn't say a word. I finally had to ask "what are we doing?" His response was "whatever you want boss" in a sarcastic tone. Super lazy and poor customer service.
Disappointed. As many others have noted, this station used to be reasonably priced, and you could get gas quickly. The last three times I've tried to go, it's closed. The few times before that, understaffed, long lines, etc. Not sure how I'm supposed to use those fuel points now short of driving across town.
Service has always been slow. I've come here and they would be closed at high peek times (though I do get this for employee shortages). I have decided NOT to go here any longer until Fred Meyer can get more employees AND figure out how to get them to work like any other gas station I've been to.
Most Fred Meyer Fuel locations have horribly long lines & feel understaffed with overworked employees - the staff here is quick and no matter how many cars are in line it never takes too long. They are also friendly and polite. I go out of my way to fuel up here anymore just because of that.
This place is hammered most the day (due to such low prices) Quality of fuel is pretty low, notice a performance difference between Chevron and FM fuel. Service is slow as well, not due to the wait lines, but the staff just walk slowly everywhere, need better service at such a busy station.
There are never enough employees working and so most of the time only half the pumps are up if you are lucky. There was a line out to the street to get gas. Often none of the employees are in any particular hurry either. It would be a two if it wasn't the cheapest place around to buy gas.
Very long lines, waited too long. There's only one employee working here and he moves really slow he's probably not feeling well, not sure. Gas is cheaper, if you have fuel points you'd like to use and don't mind the wait it's a good place to gas up. Review is for 1/22/22 late morning.
I just asked for $20 of premium and got a full tank of regular. The line takes about 3 times longer than you think it will, half the pumps are closed most of the time, and the gas station is just randomly closed every now and then. Not worth the slightly cheaper costs in the slightest.
There pumps break a lot, I waited in line was next and then card reader for the pump broke and would the an hour to reset. On a different visit one of the staff members was wearing a mask incorrectly and kept touch their nose then the pump and costumers cards. Did not like it!
When I go to a gas station during business hours I expect them to be open. Thankfully if the workers have the station coned off, and a line of cars waiting with no interest in helping customers I will gladly go elsewhere. They obviously don't want the business to succeed.
Always have a pleasant experience here. Employees are friendly and efficient. It is a popular gas station, so there is almost always a wait, but that's expected for such a busy station. It's easy to get into and get in line, no weird maneuvering like some places.
I pulled up with the pump network being down. The employees were polite and respectful as they informed customers of the situation. They remained polite and professional when dealing with the stress of numerous disgruntled customers. Top notch customer service!
Last time we went here it was excruciatingly slow. This time it was rather fast -because they were closed at 10:15 even though their hours say until 11. (on Google maps). I've learned my lesson with this place now. The slightly better prices are not worth it.
The worst gas station. Either severely understaffed or just incredibly slow. There’s only a few pumps ever open and no matter what time of day there are long lines which seem to never move. I’ve pulled in about a dozen times but have only got gas 2-3 times.
One of the cheaper gas stations in the area for sure. If you have a phone number associated with a rewards account from Fred Meyer or Kroger, you'll automatically get 0.03¢ off per gallon, and you can use your rewards points for more off per gallon as well.
Always takes forever. Sometimes they are understaffed, which I get but I had to ask one of the attendants to get off his phone twice because my pump was done. I’ve been going here for years and the staff I get is always slow. Closed random days and times.
Don’t frequent this location much. But multiple lanes closed. Only two people working. And one star? Because I get to the pump and that’s when they tell me they don’t stretch the hose over to the other side anymore. I asked if they could put a sign up.
Location is a little funky (down a steep hill, sort of hidden from the main road, and nowhere near the Burlingame Fred Meyer), but the fuel prices are decent when you have a rewards card, and the attendance are usually fairly prompt and friendly.
03/09/23 at 2:10 worst customer service, I’d rather run out of gas then ever go here again, it seemed like asking for them to do what they are paid for was to much to ask for. The dude that worked this day was incredibly rude and disrespectful.
I am really impressed with the service personal here. Often this location has long lines and some drivers are impatient or simply rude. The folks that work here do a really good job keeping cool and keeping lines moving efficiently. Thanks you!
Best prices in this part of town, especially if you have Fred Myers Rewards to get reduced rate. Easy to get to, just off I-5 and just off Barber Blvd. Fast, friendly attendants. Can have a long line during rush hour, but usually in and out.
Low prices, and the lines move quickly. Same gas major brand gas stations buy on the spot market. Show them your Fred Meyer rewards card for an additional 3 cents off. Use your Fred Meyer rewards points for up to $1.00 off per gallon. Sweet!
The only reason to visit this station is to use your Fred Meyer fuel reward points. There's always a line for gas, no matter the day or time, and the attendents sometimes seem a little stoned. That said, it's no better or worse than other
The worst gas station ever. Not only are they extremely slow, but the location causes traffic hazards. There’s only ever 2 pumps open. They should move to the pumps that are farthest away from the street because the lines for left sided
Very long lines, very slow moving. one person serving four pumps but only one car at a time. 45 minutes to serve a line of 3 cars?? Come on guys, very inefficient and not representative of the Fred Meyers we experience other locations.
Terrible service. These are the laziest people I’ve ever seen that work here. Randomly closed in the middle of the day, now it’s so understaffed that the lines extend out into the road. No other gas station has this kind of problem.
Goodness it should not take this long to get help at a gas station! Sometimes this place is quick and others I have to wait for 4 gas attendants to help one car before even looking up and noticing the line of cars now behind them.
Every Fred Meyers allows reaching the hose to the other side of the vehicle. Poor planning by the manager if you have staffing issues to not let people know before hand and also not open up farthest pumps for better traffic flow.
This is the worst gas station of all time. They’re hardly ever open (definitely not following the hours posted on Google), the staff are really rude/slow, and they’re usually only running 1/3-1/2 of the pumps. Do not recommend.
I love this gas station! It is right next to my house and the gas is always affordable. The attendants are helpful and do a good job. Sometimes they are a little slower than others but always great gas for the right price!
Update your hours on Google if you're going to close early. It's 7:58 pm on Friday night and station entirely closed. Google says you're open until 11 pm. There's no reason to not update your customers when closing early.
This gas station has better prices than all nearby stations, especially with your Fred Meyer Rewards card. The employees are always very welcoming and hard working...it is a pleasure to deal with these people everytime.
I love having this gas station so close. While Costco is the cheapest without discounts, FM gas can get the $0.40 off per gallon or more, which is incredible. Also, this is nice and close to Multnomah Village for me.
Understaffed and under motivated, this gas station frequently has cars backed out of the parking lot onto public streets while the staff takes their sweet time running the couple of pumps that they actually opened.

Always have to wait 20 mins in line just to get gas because they are always short staffed. Probably hard to get people to work here if they’re heavily underpaid. More than half the gas pumps are always closed.
Stand alone Fred Meyer gas station (no store). Good prices, typically busy but pretty quick service. Also sells snacks. Getting in and out of the station can be challenging as there is only one direction out.
14 pumps and 4 of them are open. On a Friday evening. 20 cars deep in 2 lines while 2 people work. Get it together, Freddy’s. Pay people a living wage and you won’t be short staffed, it really is that simple.
Nice new facility that opened in early 2015. Prices are routinely the best in the area, especially if you use a FM rewards card for the discount. Expect to wait some minutes in line during busy time periods.
Good place for lower-than-average gas prices, and if you shop at Fred Meyer, you can apply your shopping card rebate points toward fuel purchase. The lines can get long, though, but move pretty quickly.
Great store on Barbour Blvd. Everybody working there is super friendly, good prices, and I've never had an issue with freshness. Would have given 5 stars but they don't stock much for diabetic customers
Slow! Why don't they just hire more staff? They never even use all their pumps. The wait is no longer making up for the low prices. Please hire more staff instead of saving money by wasting our time!
The worst gas station I’ve ever been too. The attendants are so lazy and rude. Only 4 spots open and they wouldn’t reach the pump around for people. I waited in line for 45 mins. Never go here!!!!!
Love the prices here but at this one they just seem like they can figure it out completely if you know what I mean....it's so slow in service and they do know it but do show that they care at all.
The worst service ever, the amendment closed the line I was in because he didn't want to work in the sun couldn't belive this guy. They are the dumbest and slowest ever can't belive these people.
4 pumps open 2 employees. Super slow and customer service is horrible. The guy that helped me was argumentative for no reason towards me and the family next to me, just completely unprofessional.
Yes I agree wholeheartedly that this gas station is notorious for closing down with notification. We like Kroger fuel for the points. I understand it's MLK day and the employees deserve a day.
Plenty of pumps, but it is often very busy. They used to have some of the best gas prices in town, their prices seem to be higher now, but the still have the best prices in the neighborhood.
Same as it’s been for years. Lanes closed and they won’t reach over vehicles like literally every other Fred Meyer location will do. Been living by here for over a decade. Always the same.
Always very slow. Often only a few of the pumps open. Long lines. Easily could be doing much more business. Have had to avoid due to the lines. I imagine other people are doing the same.
