I have been in a business that has required me to move my family most of our lives. We can state without a doubt that this has been the WORST moving company that we have ever used. If we could give them a negative rating, we would as it is completely justified. We hired Friendly Movers to move us half-way across the Country, and it was a total disaster. The pack-out took approximately 6 hours longer that estimated, and we had pre-packed most of the house. The movers were horsing around quite a bit and only serious about the job when they were being watched by the foreman. The house that we sole was damaged by the movers and they were damaging the furniture as they were moving it. They would attempt to state that it was already broken. Several things were packed that was segregated and needed to be found. We agreed that we would find it upon delivery. Everything was downloaded and we received a call, they had opened all the boxes without our consent to search. Everything was repacked and not sorted/ grouped together as we originally did, we found out that even my wife and kids underwear drawers were searched. Everything was a mess and mixed together. (i.e. cast iron pans on glass pans, lamp oil leaking on top of high-heel shoe collection, pots on top of antique lamp) They did insist on giving large tips. We called to request the delivery of out household items, but it was being "held for ransom." They would not deliver until I agreed to pay a lot more than we agreed to. Turned out to be double the price. They had full inventory sheets, and we even lightened the load. We were forced to agree as the kids needed to start school and I had to start work. We saw the extent of the damages and several items were stolen and A LOT broken. (We had everything unpacked in 2 weeks) Several things that cannot be replaced. We checked everything 3 times before we filed a claim and have NEVER heard anything from them. We only covered the highlights, there's much more than this.

I contacted Friendly Movers several months prior to my move with detailed information regarding my move( size of my apartment, what was fragile and so on) I spoke with Theresa each time. Decided to use this company. Payed my $100 deposit. On Saturday 20, 2019. My actual move day. The two guys Hernando and his partner, was totally suprised upon getting on the job. I was told by Hernando that (fragile)items that required wrapping to be moved was not listed and he would have to charge me for those items.. (what!!!) I provided details prior to ( Theresa) not only that.. he ( Hernando) said the truck may be too small and they only had 4 hrs to complete the move. I don't have a complaint about the movers Hernando and his assistant were very good. They handled my items with care. They were the best.. (thank you again guys) But what I did not appreciate, was the lack of professionalism regarding pricing and procedures. Was my $100 deposit not put towards the cost of the already $500 plus I was already slated to pay? So it was $600 plus now already that I payed.. but after not having the items noted to be moved Cairo cabinet (glass) and glass table. I ended up paying an additional $200 plus for a total of $800 plus Dollars.. and you freaking kidding me. But at last minute where would I find new movers without changing my move date. And only with a couple days off work to complete my move.. this company I feel ripped me off . I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TI ANYONE.. THEY DID A BATE AND SWITCH MOVE ON ME.. I WAS GOING TO RECOMMEND THEM TO MY GIRLFRIEND WHO IS MOVING IN A COUPLE MONTHS.. NOT!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I had an entire review written out, but unfortunately I exceeded the character limit (they were that bad!), so here's an abbreviated version....Friendly Movers failed to follow through on nearly every promise they made pertaining to my four hour move from Arlington to Blacksburg, Va. Originally I was told my items would be delivered in 1-7 days, later (post-move out day) I was then told 1-7 "business" days, then I was told they didn't know why I hadn't received my items yet (this does not instill much confidence). Finally, after 15 days my items were delivered the mere four hours away from their pick-up location. Unbelievable! Further the delivery men were 3 hours and 15 minutes late AND they did not deliver my vacuum cleaner! Thirty minutes after they left I realized the vacuum cleaner was not there and I immediately called. I left a voicemail and have not yet received a response. Prior to deliver, the owner, Eytan, guaranteed a refund for every day over the seven days I was promised; this was would a 53% refund (15 days to deliver, 8 days over the 7 day mark). After delivery I submitted a written complaint (per Eytan they could only process a refund if it was in writing) regarding all the failures of the company including my lost vacuum cleaner. It has been five days since submitting this complaint and I have not heard a word from the company. This is one of the worst experiences with customer service I have ever experienced; they should be ashamed. DO NOT USE.

We called to schedule a move. We were told movers were available between 1-3 on Saturday and we would have to pay $100 deposit to hold the slot. We paid and come Saturday around 2 we received a call stating the movers were running behind and they would be calling between 4-4:30, it is now 4:58 and no one has called to provide an update and no one is answering any of the numbers we have for this company, but they sure did charge the $100 deposit for 1-3 time slot that they did not fulfill and did not or have not had the common courtesy to provide a status update, just took our money. Stealing, I think so!!!! UPDATE: So the mover finally called around 5:30 well past the original time slot we were provided and well past the revised time provided earlier the day of the move. Further we were told the movers would call when they were on the way, nope they called after they had arrived at the location we were having items moved to. What do you think, we have all day to sit and wait without so much as a courtesy call to say you are running even later than you thought! Not only did you take our money, you failed to show up at the original time provided for our move, you failed to show up at the revised time for our move, you failed to call when you were on the way which according to your receptionist or whoever scheduled the appointment is procedure. Still stealing and failing to provide the services paid for, I think so!!!!

There was a LOT of miscommunication involved with our move. After booking two pickup stops and one drop off, I was told the movers would call a few weeks before to go over details. About a week before, I contacted the company again since I hadn’t heard from anyone. I was told the movers would call 15-30 mins before arriving at my first pickup location. On the day of the move, the movers called my boyfriend to let him know they were at my apartment but couldn’t fit the truck anywhere. Not sure why they didn’t call me, and gave no notice. He requested they come to his apartment first, which they said they didn’t even have an address for. The “medium truck” was ginormous, and since they never called in advance I didn’t realize I had to block off my street. We luckily found a spot but the company tried rescheduling and also said if they got a ticket I’d have to pay it. The movers were very nice and efficient. However, our couch got stained and our coffee table was broken - no mention of these, we just noticed after they left. They gave us our total and we paid in cash. When they left the receipt, we realized they had told us $80 more than what was written, so not sure where that $80 went. I’ve contacted the company 3 times since the move with no response. Would recommend finding a different moving company.

I haven't had stuff moved yet but have already been through a lot. I had a move scheduled between 12-2. I called around 1:30 looking for the movers, only to hear that my move for the day is cancelled because the move before mine was taking a lot longer than expected... and wouldnt be done till 6pm. No other crew members could come out and by that time it was too late to call another moving company. The move is rescheduled for the next morning but that is it. When I said i reserved parking with the city for the truck so the walk for the movers would be shorter, I was told to try saving a spot for them tomorrow. When I asked if I would have to pay more due to the move taking longer, that was still a yes. It is horrible to hear I have to pay for your company's mistakes. I'm hoping the actual move goes better than this experience has been but based of this I'm not excited. Update: The movers showed up at the expected time in the morning. I still paid full price for the move and was out money for street parking I reserved. Overall just unnecessary stress and expense that could have been avoided on the part of the company.

I cannot say enough positive things about Friendly Movers! After another moving company (Regal Movers - DO NOT USE) never showed up the day of our move, I had to scramble to find a company who could move us the same or next day. Stephanie at Friendly Movers did everything she could to fit us in. She was polite, professional, and calming in a very high stress situation. She really epitomized the name of the Company she works for. The movers who arrived the next day could not have been better! They too were polite, professional and did an outstanding job with the move. They wrapped all furniture up to protect it and unwrapped and set it all up at new house. They were prompt, yet detail oriented and were very professional and personable the entire day. My mom who is also moving and using Friendly Movers is hoping to get the same team next week! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a moving company!

I set up my move for May 29th after a rep by the name of Tyra assisted me. With my deposit paid and move date security I was all set. The morning of my move which I took off work for, I called to confirm arrival of the truck etc. I was told by Eden the supervisor that I was not on their schedule for a move until the 27th of MAY!!! I called back that day and had my move rescheduled for Monday and requested some form of compensation for my lost wages for Fri and for being inconvenienced. A woman by the name of Biada replied with “just cancel your move bc 5% off ( 30.00) is all we are going to give you. After they failed to secure my move date and I still webt with the company I couldn’t believe how rude I was treated. Still had to basically pay full price. Vert UNFRIENDLY service. I will say tho, my two movers were super kind. Wish the phone staff was as kind.

We used Friendly Movers for a move from DC to Denver. This business is a scam. First off, we were told that our items would be delivered by June 11th and we didn't get them until July 28th. We had to buy hundreds of dollars worth of stuff just to get by in our new apartment. Second, they promised us a reimbursement for being late that they never paid. This is in their contract! They promised us we'd be reimbursed several times over the phone as well. All lies. Third, they stole a box full of valuable electronics and haven't reimbursed us at all for the missing items. A laptop, playstation, Google homes - all missing. Think it's a coincidence that the only missing box was full of electronics? Come on. This company is awful. I hope others read this and don't repeat my mistakes.

I’m extremely satisfied that I went with Friendly Movers for my recent move. I was nervous choosing a company because you hear so many horror stories about moving companies. But these guys did not disappoint. Beata, the admin, was extremely helpful and made sure I understood all of the costs and set reasonable expectations beforehand. The moving guys were also fantastic. They showed up on time, we’re efficient, conscientious, and hard working. They also made sure I understood all costs up front. Even though our move had some stressful hiccups (buildings fault), including the elevator breaking, they managed everything without a complaint. They were also the lowest cost of the quotes I received. Absolutely recommend.

Zero stars! Had the worst move of my life and the manager was beyond rude. We had used this company a few years ago and had a great experience but this time it was not anywhere near the same. They were 8 hours late, broke stuff, and the supervisor was really rude. The other movers were nice, but had to do as the rude supervisor said. The manager was supposed to call me and it took me calling him 3 days in a row to finally speak to him. He acted like he was doing me favors for taking some of the things off the price as they were so late and had promised to do so to make up for it. Although I had a good experience once before, I will not take the chance again and will not ever use their services again.

If I could give this company a zero, I absolutely would. The "manager" is extremely rude. He makes zero effort to rectify any mistakes or issues the company makes. Friendly Movers is anything but friendly. They have poor communication skills, and constantly try to add random charges that do not belong. They quickly give you misinformation to get your business, and after you give your 60% down payment fail to make good on their word. This is possibly the worst moving company. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. Maryland's Best is a great moving company, and I wish I would have gone with them. Lesson learned.

Very unprofessional. Informed my friend, who was moving, they were going to have to move quick because they had a job in another state for more money. (We were giving the dollar amount of 3000 for the “more money” job). Left the couch in the garage instead of moving the furniture into the new place first. Opened the refrigerator (on the their own) and complained there was no water for them and had an attitude when asked to wear a mask. We have used before and never had this type of service. If this is how they are operating now I will no longer be using.

Incredible Customer Service! Tyra was very professional and accommodating when a nor'easter complicated my boyfriend's move from DC to NYC. She was able to reschedule the move for the next day, and kept it a same-day move, which no other mover in the DC area was offering. Jose and Jacob (the movers) were extremely efficient, quick, and very careful with all the items. They were especially adaptable to the no-parking situation on arrival in Brooklyn. I wish NYC had a Friendly Movers!!!

Hi, my experience was amazing, beginning with Tyra, she was very professional, and just her voice, made me have trust and faith in my moving experience, on moving day I was told to expect the team to arrive between 8am and 10, they where there at 8:20 which was great, the men where very professional and they handle my property as if it was there's. If ever I need to move again this will be who I call, so happy moving people and choose Friendly Movers, because they are very friendly.

Friendly Movers was the best! From the first call Beata to go over the initial quote and then the actual move with Ramon and Lucio; everything exceeded my expectations. The rate was more than fair for the move services provided to me. They were punctual, professional and skilled with taking apart and reassembling my furniture which included a four poster canopy bed and other heavy items. I will definitely use Friendly again and I highly recommend them to everyone moving.

I would definitely use this moving company again. The Customer Experience from the estimate unit the move was completed was the very best experience, even with last minute changes. Teresa was always available to speak with me, very professional, friendly and accurate. The movers arrived on time and were very professional, friendly and helpful. Very pleased with Friendly Movers. They came right on time and were very professional and accommodating. They even called in the morning to let me know that they could arrive earlier as they finished their previous job early. The price was very affordable compared to other moving services in the DMV area. Would definitely recommend this moving service!

In the lawd name don't use these people they took 45 mins to get from one house to the next a 5 minute drive. Then Said it was an accident but I had to pay for the hour. Then they would bubble wrap u if you stand in one place and charge u. Not to mention they move like snails to build hours up.

Stay far away from the unfriendly movers, you will pay deposit and find out they cannot keep their schedule, someone will call you the day of your move and make some ridiculous claim that they cannot do the move the day you arranged. Do believe the reviews. They are false.
