I visited the store on November 3, 2023. Generally, the store is great. There was a short line in front of it, just a few people, so it took no more than 5 minutes to pass through the line. They have a wide range of different drinks, starting from beer and ending with elite alcohol. I was interested in wine and was looking for something to make mulled wine, so I asked someone to show me where I could find dry red wine that wouldn't break the bank but still tasted like good wine. The store employee suggested three different options ranging from $20 to $30 for a 1.5-liter bottle. I chose the middle option for $26 and wasn't disappointed. I really appreciated the service at the store, so I can definitely recommend visiting them!
I waited in the car while my girlfriend stood in line to get in. Watched many people stand in line while I waited in the warmth of my car. I have pretty much given up drinking alcohol not because I had a problem but because I was tired of feeling terrible after drinking. Now I will still have an occasional drink but you will likely never see me lined up again to buy myself what is essentially poison to ingest. Also the fact that the government doesn't allow competitors in the alcohol game and can charge whatever they please is kinda ridiculous in Manitoba. But if you enjoy flavoured poison in Manitoba this is your place unless you make your own.
Its only a liquor commission, but I was looking for a special type of wine . Wasn't sure where to look & asked the so helpful and knowledgeable staff member. She had showed me what I was looking for , explaining all about the wine itself and gave me options as well . Its actually really nice not having to go walk around looking for someone to help you out when you need it . Thankyou to the lady staff person that took the time to do that for me .
ALWAYS ASK FOR YOUR RECEIPTS, CHECK THEM AND ENSURE YOURE NOT OVER CHARGED, DOUBLE CHARGED AND THE SALE PRICE ON MARKED WAS ACTUALLY THE PRICE ON THE RECEIPT. TOO MANY BAD EXPERIENCES AT THIS LOCATION. TERRIBLE!!
Not enough cashiers, lineup all the way around the store. Website says stores are open that aren't. If I could give zero stars I would. I don't have the time for this. Privatize them.
The staff here is great!!! This is a big store, so you shouldn't be shoulder to shoulder with other patrons.
Too crowded plus huge line up because of identification purposes.
