Train station
"If you are going to use either of the two Garforth Railway Stations, make sure its this one, it has twice as many trains"
"Could do with some more obvious signs to which platform a service will be at"
"My friend and I were catching a train from Garforth towards Leeds and it was pouring so we were pleased to see that there is a nice covered in waiting room"
"This was a perfect train station for us to use to get to York"
"Plenty of trains available to loads of destinations"
If you are going to use either of the two Garforth Railway Stations, make sure its this one, it has twice as many trains. Even if the Northern Rail ones are often cancelled as occurs too frequently, there are Transpennine Express services too. Randomly for a railway station, there is a lovely little family run cafe/Bistro on site as well as a very, very part time ticket office and a local taxi office. The cafe does lovely coffee, cakes and food during the day, either to have in, or served on the platform, via their serving hatch/window. At night it becomes a bistro serving yet more food on its evening menu as well as drinks.
Could do with some more obvious signs to which platform a service will be at. Got off a connecting train and almost missed the next because there wasn't much information about where the next train would be. Partially down to the fault of Train line, but still.
My friend and I were catching a train from Garforth towards Leeds and it was pouring so we were pleased to see that there is a nice covered in waiting room. We went in and there was a couple with a toddler and a baby. No sooner had we sat
This was a perfect train station for us to use to get to York. We had no issue parking the car and the trip to York was only 25 minutes away. Would recomnend using this station as an alternative to driving to York.
Plenty of trains available to loads of destinations. Ticket machine and lovely Italian food available. Only downside is no ramp to cross the track for pushchairs and wheelchair users
Got off at platform 1 to find no access for wheelchairs or pushchairs I was on my own and had no way of exiting with a pushchair. Left my child vulnerable. Not happy at all.
Parking space is very tricky to find despite the large car park. But other than that it’s a good station for getting to Leeds/York or further afield
Great little railway station. Ticket office (very friendly). Superb cafe and takeaway with very chatty guy, made a real change from the normal.
Good little station but the warm waiting area was locked and you really have to step back from the platform when a train passes at full speed!
Needs updating. Cant get back to this station when I have my daughter in the pram as there is no disabled/pram access from the other platform.
For east west and west east journeys I prefer this station to the big stations in York and Leeds. Perhaps I shouldn't tell people that LOL
Errm.. well, it's a train station.... I'm giving it 5 because I love the little Italian café which has become a restaurant. It's great.
NO facilities whatsoever..ticket office closed..no toilets..and the station house cafe (advertised as open till 10pm) Closed! Hell hole
Love the bridge, waiting rooms in tip top condition and the guy that works at the help desk is one of the nicest people I have met.
It's a small train station. You can get on and off trains. There is a machine you can buy tickets from if it is working.
Nice place. Remember the Transpennien Express doors never open due to gap between train and platform need a hard push.
Hard to find on first visit - sign after the entrance when driving! Great Italian cafe on platform. Plenty of parking.
Has some facilities, but the opening hours are limited; not great when your train's delayed and it's cold at night
Quaint little station, provides convenient stop for small town. Just a pity ticket office is only part time
Friendly staff in ticket office and a independent cafe/restaurant adjoining serves excellent Italian food!
Easy parking, ticket machine and cafe on platform, nice friendly helpful staff, lovely warm waiting room
Easy parking , ticket machine can be a nightmare of a queue . get your ticket before you turn up..
A lot of facilities for a small station but competition for parking can literally be fierce
Nice enough station with cafe and take out coffee/food. Just wish trains were on time.
Heaters in the waiting room are quality now its getting cold. Great work northern rail
No lift, no toilets, shelter is poor unless its midday and the ticket office is open.
As it's 5 minutes from my home, I love the convenience, it's always clean and tidy
Clean and tidy car park, decent snacks available reasonable prices, train on time.
No problem at all. Parking can be an issue but that's not there fault at all.
Went to the station cafe. The foods was really good and a great selection
As stations go it's OK, trains come in and then they go - so pretty good.
The coffee shop is brilliant...beats the old 'British Rail' cafes :-)
No trains to Manchester airport stop...still have to change at leeds
Don't try to leave or arrive on platform 1 if using a wheelchair.
Could do with more available parking and another ticket machine.
Average commuter station but no disabled access to platform 1
No disabled exit. In a wheelchair do not use this station.
Pretty good but waiting room locked ... what's that about?
The car park here is really big, plenty of parking spaces
Good station. Free car parks. Lots of trains into Leeds
There is no toilet in that Station. That's it …
Decent amount of trains but car park not big enough
Most trains are on time but when late very late
Car park often Full on Working days after 08:00
Good but not very accessible for the disabled.
Nothing more to say. It's a railway station.
For a suburban station it has alot of links
Nice little station always clean and tidy.
Great place to travel thoughout Yorkshire
Brilliant service. Constant trains …
Adequate facilities without any toilets
Just sending a friend off after a visit
