2020 was when I became a patient at Gentle Dental Care. Before this, I had not been to any Dentist Practice for many years due to a horrible experience with my previous Dentist. From the very first appointment with Dr Avi, everything changed. At first, I was still very sceptical and didn’t trust anyone. I was very reluctant to corporate and would require a family member to be there with me at all times. Even having my first lot of fillings in the Dentist's chair was so daunting as I’ve always been put to sleep for procedures like this. Although I was petrified during the whole process Dr Avi explained everything as he went along and reassured me the whole time. Since having the work done, this is when everything changed for me! And I began to trust that I was in safe hands. Also, due to having such a small mouth caused by a disability. Dr Avi has never once made me feel any different and has treated me as he would with any of his other patients and for that I will forever be grateful! I can't believe that years of fearing the Dentist has changed from not even wanting to step one foot in the door to being able to go to all appointments without any issues and attend them on my own. (Don't get me wrong I still feel nervous, but once I'm in the Dentist's chair I feel in safe hands) I can’t think of a better Dentist practice or Dentist Surgeon (Dr Avi) to attend and I will forever remain his patient!

This review is for Customer Services only. I am in the waiting room of this practice while my friend who I have brought from his care home receives dental treatment. My friend has fourth stage prostate cancer and is doubly incontinent; and because of his condition has ability issues and is unable to use stairs. We came first to this practice a week ago and were told that the toilet was out of order. There is a notice to that effect on the door. We were told there was another toilet upstairs that customers could use. Unfortunately, he cannot manage stairs. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it back to his care home in time last week before nature took its course. Today, 5 July, the downstairs toilet is still out of order. I asked the receptionist on arrival why it had not been fixed. He claims that they can’t get someone to repair it. He also said, What can I do? Repeatedly. I don’t believe the toilet is actually out of order. If this downstairs is ever available to customers, can someone let me know. As my friend is having lengthy treatment today (2 extractions) it is a foregone conclusion that we will not get back to the care home before he needs the toilet again.

My son and I have been seeing Dr Emily here for over 6 yrs now and I would highly recommend her. We have biannual check up to pick up any issues and she explains procedures really well. She goes through all options available and there is no push or judgement to go for the most expensive options. My son (14 yrs old) doesn't dread going to see her because of her kind and caring nature (she really gets to know her patients) which is great, as it will mean when he gets older he will keep up his visits. He doesn't have braces as she feels he doesn't need them! I am fortunate to have found a dentist that won't push for unnecessary procedures, a stark contrast to the dentist I had as a child! She even saw us on the NHS during lockdown when a lot of Dentists withdrew services for NHS. If your looking for a trustworthy dentist or your a little reticent to visit because of a past experience please see Dr Emily, she is very talented at what she does!

Fantastic Dentist all around as Mish has been great with all the work he has done for me personally as I have been visiting GDC for sometime and they have been extremely helpful, understating and most of all caring. I was able to speak with Dr Mish about all the options for my dental treatment and received everything I needed to make up my mind if I wanted to go through the treatment. On one occasion I visited the surgery for the hygienist at the same time I had lots of pain and Dr Mish didn’t think twice to take me on the same day without an appointment and managed to remove the bridge that was causing me the pain and gave me antibiotics. Thank you again Dr Miss, Lukasz, Aziz and the team at GDC keep up the good work. I highly recommend GDC for anyone who is experiencing some dental pain/issues as this is the right place to visit.

Let me start by saying I am a very complex case. I’m just about to start Invisalign with Emily, who at my consultation was very friendly, informative and just gave me a good all around feeling about going ahead with treatment with her. Dr Bardia has done my fillings and check ups. He’s also set out my treatment plan over the next few years. I feel he has time to speak with you through everything, and nothing feels rushed. I feel confident and comfortable with his decisions and work. Dr Mish has previously taken out my wisdom tooth which was quick and painless, and I had no further problems. He will also be removing another tooth for me soon. So far, I’ve had a good experience. I know I’m not the easiest of cases I’m sure. I will come back with another review in a few years when my treatment is finished! :)

I am a super nervous patient. So much so I’d rather put up with toothache than have treatment. But root canal was the end result of leaving a toothache for too long and finally having to go to the dentist. Dr Faisal was brilliant. The biggest compliment I can pay is if my circumstances ever change and I can afford private, this would be my number one choice. He was patient and had a great manner. By the third trip I was not filled with dread anymore. I require one or two more sessions to complete treatment and I can honestly say my fear has gone. The whole place has a lovely relaxing vibe from receptionist, waiting room to dentist chair. Nobody looks forward to a visit to the dentist but you know when you do have to go Dr Faisal and Gentle dental will make it as relaxing as possible.

Praise, praise and praise fot Gentle Dental Care clinic 132 Wickham Road. I was treated by Dr Mehreen Huda. The best dental treatment I have ever received from any dentist within the last 50 years. She is a credit to this surgery. A very polite and sympathetic person. While being treated, she kept me fully informed and was very gentle with the treatment. Thank you very much indeed. My family will also be moving over to this dental surgery and I will be recommending this surgery and Dr Huda to all my friends and families I know and being a local councillor and having served twice as a mayor I know lots of people. It is worthwhile for us to travel from Purley to Wickham road for such a good service.

Having had Invisalign treatment with Dr. Avi, I can honestly say I’ve never smiled with so much confidence. The knowledge, care and expertise are second to none. Dr. Avi continually goes above and beyond for his patients and the passion for his work shows in his great approach. I’ve never been a fan of going to the dentist, but I always feel comfortable and safe when visiting Gentle Dental Care 132 Wickham Road. I highly recommended this practice for anyone who’s nervous about the dentist, and to anyone looking to straighten their teeth with Invisalign. I want to say a personal thank you to Dr. Avi. I am so grateful for him giving me the confidence I’d been lacking for most of my life!

My treatment at Gental Dental care is now over. I have been given the very best care despite the challenges of Covid. From Lucas who is always so welcoming, to Henrietta a hygienist and of course Dr Miss and Dominica. They are such a great team always so patient understanding and reassuring. They take the time to explain everything in detail and, for someone who was very nervous during the process, always took the time to put my mind at ease. My treatments included tooth removal, crown and dental implant all of which were done with the best care and attention you could want. I’d like to say a big thank you to the team and I would highly recommend using Gental Dental Care.

I am at the start of my dental journey, everyone at GD has been so lovely, kind and thoughtful. I had a tooth extraction with Dr Mish, honestly pretty much pain free! He talked me though everything, all my options, I feel totally reassured and completely safe in his hands. Brilliant dentists, attended today in terrible pain, Sophie on reception got me an emergency appointment immediately and filled in the paperwork for me whilst I was too in pain to talk. I’m a really nervous patient but dentist Suril and his assisting nurse Carmina were brilliant, explaining my options clearly and quickly (again I was in a lot of pain) before removing a nerve. They were incredibly reassuring, careful and gentle, after numbing I didn’t feel any pain throughout and was very grateful for them dealing with the shaking, crying adult with kindness and care.

I just had my teeth taken out today. I was really nervous about getting it all done. However after meeting Dr Avi & Dr Mish, I can actually say I had the most comfortable, no pain experience. Dr Avi putting me in the safe hands of Dr Mish and given me reassurance that I’ll be fine. Dr Mish was amazing, he was explaining everything as he was taking my tooth out. I’ve been to the practice since high school and it’s always lovely going back to see Dr Avi, always gives me the best care and advice on how to maintain my teeth in a way that’s manageable for me, never one to promote services that won’t fit my current lifestyle. He always keeps the appointment light hearted and calm, making you feel comfortable in an often nerve wracking setting. I now travel since moving town but have no plans to leave due to the excellent service and care.

I have seen Amna, one of the hygienists at Gentle Dental, for about five sessions now and have had an extremely positive experience. She is incredibly thorough, really takes the time to consider and patiently answer all my questions and gives me lots of guidance on how to best clean my teeth. My gums are now perfectly healthy and my teeth look much whiter because she has removed lots of staining. I would definitely recommend her hygiene sessions to others.

Visited Gentle Dental at Wickham.Road as a walk in to request an urgent appointment the week before Christmas, was seen within 15 mins by Amal Patel without an appointment. Amal.was very professional , friendly and competent and performed an extraction on the day. No after effects or problems. We have been with this dental practice now for over 15 years, so this is the only dental practice I have ever known. There has been so many changes, but we have never had a bad experience as a family and individually. The Dentists, assistants, the lovely receptionists whom are always so friendly, its always a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this place to new locals for both NHS and private treatment.

I can highly recommend Gentle Dental and Dr Mish and the team. I had an initial consultation a few weeks ago and got a clear and comprehensive plan which has now started to get my gums healthy and prepared for implants. The team are professional, friendly and happy to answer all questions and allay any concerns.

Had a tooth extraction today and considering I’m absolutely scared of needles entering my mouth for any injection they made me feel so comfortable. Yeah the wisdom tooth had fight cause it didn’t want to come out but they got it and now in recovery mode but let me say, excellent staff. Warm and comforting

Was seen today by Dr Melissa, fabulous dentist, who is very gentle and takes the time to explain everything and give advice on tooth and gum care. Did a great job rebuilding a large filling a few months back , very impressed all round Great reception staff too I must add.

Dr Mehreen Hudo at Gentle Dental Care is not only expert in her field, but caring and considerate. After appropriate assessment, she offered me various options for my circumstances. After treatment, she followed me up as needed. I strongly recommend Dr Mehreen.
