Had the absolute WORST customer experience at this location today with a woman named Christina. My son and I came in to get some cupcakes to celebrate him making the a team for football. I had a gift card, was told they no longer accept gift cards. I thought this was odd but said ok. I had called on the way over to make sure they had flavors I wanted in stock and if they were fresh as I’d gotten cupcakes in the past that weren’t soft but didn’t know until we were home. The lady said yes they were all bakes today and fresh. We got a coconut cream pie and a cookie dough cupcake. Get to the car , my son tries both and immediately says the cookie dough 1 is dry , I felt the bottom and it was very hard nothing at all like the other. We went back in and I told the lady it was hard and if we could have a different cupcake. She grabbed another cookie dough and says they’re all this way it’s a different recipe but take this one. I replied well if they’re all like that then I don’t want that style. Mind you I’ve bought these multiple times in the past, never had an issue. I asked about the chocolate cakes and without waiting to ask which one my son wanted she grabbed one, he said no thank you can I have a cookie & cream cupcake. She rolls her eyes and said mamn. I know have to throw away 3 cupcakes , feels like you’re mad about your gift card and is smiling and rolling her eyes. I said excuse me I didn’t blink an eye or be rude at all about the gift card I just wanted soft cupcakes. Also she was wearing gloves so not sure why she’d need to throw any of the cupcakes away accept for the 1 by son bit She says I don’t know what to tell you lady and starts arguing with me IN FRONT OF MY SON that I’m being demanding etc. I have NEVER experienced such bad customer experience, it was shocking and I was embarrassed that my son witnessed her behavior. A very sweet lady named Sarah came up and apologized for her but the whole situation was so off putting and ruined our special occasion! We get Gigis cupcakes for most bdays and special occasions. We get them so much that people know my family loves them hence someone giving me a gift card. Employees like Christina are dangerous because when they do their job so badly , it leaves a lasting impression. It’s better to be short handed than employee someone with that demeanor . Safe to say I will not give this company another dollar!! To be fair, the coconut cupcake was incredible, soft airy , frosting was perfection. However we will still not be back

Arrived a little after 5 pm on a weekday with my toddler because I promised her cupcakes. Walked in and there was no one visibly at the counter then about 30 seconds later a woman comes from The back. I immediately asked her how much was everything, I’ve never been to this establishment and as soon as I came in my eyes were glued on the cupcakes. I didn’t look up to see that their was a flyer but she quickly said what the prices were, so then I began asking what each flavor was like with what type of icing and what not. She quickly explained like I was bothering her and she wanted me to hurry up and buy so she could get back to whatever she was doing in the back. They sell the minis in a group starting at 4 so I purchased 8 and one large cupcake for me. As soon as I paid and she gave me my bag and receipt she left immediately back to the back- no thank you or come again. I looked around for a second for napkins then left. I thought she was a rude unenthused to help whatsoever ( rocker or goth looking chic) and went about my business. After we got situated in the car that’s when we open the cupcakes, my toddler tore it up because it’s sweets but the cupcakes DID NOT TASTE FRESH. They tasted like they were at least 2-3 days old and the icing wasn’t even soft ( the icing fell right off like a rock). Usually since I’ve lived here when we are craving cupcakes I go to H-E-B and get the birthday cupcakes that are very good by the way, but this time around we wanted something different. I really wish that I would have listened to some of the reviews that I read but I went ahead anyway because I knew where the location was. Anyways believe the bad reviews, bad customer service and not fresh tasting cupcakes. I spent 15$ on my visit and could have spent half that on my usual trip to H-E-B for cupcakes like we usually do when we are craving them. I hate to write bad reviews and sometimes it seems as if that’s the only time we do them but the owner needs to fix it ! Oh and one of the cupcakes ( can’t remember which flavor ) had a filling inside of them which was gross, I just ate around that part and tossed the icing.

Really really disappointed in this Gigi's location. I'm not sure if they got a new owner or if the overall corporate is cutting back portions like other companies, but things are not the same. They used to give HUGE dollops of icing on the cupcakes which made it worth the $3.50 or $3.75 it used to be. In fact, that was the symgol of Gigi's cupcakes! Now, they give you less icing and they've increased each cupcake cost to above $4. They're basically overpriced cupcakes. Gigi's also used to do a deal where if you buy 5 cupcakes, the sixth one is free. I would go in just for that deal. Now, there is little incentive to buy more unless you're having a big group or party, and even so, you can pay less for more at another bakery. The employees also seem depressed or burned out whenever I go. When this location was across the highway on Blanco, the employees seemed happier and the atmosphere was better. This location is dark and gloomy. I just feel like this location took a huge hit because someone is probably trying to be cheap or doesn't know how to run an efficient bakery. If they owner has changed, it would make sense. . I hope things can be turned around soon

I did not appreciate the customer service at all and I would just kind of think with the weather being warm and the AC not being very cold in your facility that the cupcakes along with a bunch of other products wouldn't be just sitting in a box on the counter. Along with that the customer service was very short with us I almost felt like I was bothering her by coming into the store as a customer that had already made a purchase. She had asked me if I wanted a bag I said yes instead of grabbing the gray bags which seem to be the same size bags she grabbed me a pink one when this is for my boys 5th birthday and I had asked her kindly because this is my boys 5th birthday if I could get a gray bag and she said those aren't available very short and quick with me I just didn't appreciate that experience and I will be sure in the future tonight do business with your store and I will bring my business to a local Mom and Pop good luck

My husband and I used to go to Gigi’s Cupcakes on a regular basis but we went recently and we have realized that it simply isn’t worth it anymore. The experience isn’t good and frankly, neither are the cupcakes. They have gone downhill just like a lot of things did after 2020. It is consistently evident that the staff does not want to be there. They seem very inconvenienced to have to take your order and the cupcakes are way too sweet. Also, forget about getting the perfect Instagram worthy picture of your cupcakes. The frosting is put on so heavily that it slides off of each cupcake, every time! You’ve got to scrape the frosting from out of the box and back onto your cupcake. No bueno. I’m the cupcake queen in my family . So it’s safe to say that we, unfortunately, will not be back. I don’t solely pay for a product I also pay for a delightful experience. This place is not it.

I just have to say I'm obsessed with how Gigi decorates their cakes!! Since my very first cake order they completely went above my expectations and I'v been coming here ever since! Anything you want they can do it! My other favorite part is the staff:) They are all so professional, kind, and patient (especially Jess:)). Every time I come in, they take the time to listen to the idea I have in mind and are so helpful in providing me with suggestions and working with me. And to top it all off the cakes are delicious!! I have ordered all types of cakes from 1 layer to 3 layers and they all have been consistent and amazing! I have recommended them to all my friends, any idea you have they will make it happen!

Gigi's is an amazing place! Their cupcakes are so soft and moist, and their cheesecakes are so creamy. The flavors are always on point, so much so that I have to stop myself from buying one of each everytime I go. The real star I'm here to gush about is their custom cakes. The cookie dough Demon Slayer cake I ordered for my daughter was amazing! Everyone loved it, especially the birthday girl. They also didn't hide any details from me. I was notified that the cookie dough cake would be extremely dense, and it was, but it was still so good. We were definitely happy with our purchase, and will definitely be going back for all our special occasions and sweet indulgences.

I think Gigi's makes the best cupcakes in San Antonio. The always have a fun assortment of flavors and they change them for the seasons. I love that I can pull in and order a dozen cupcakes anytime and they're always ready. Ordering ahead is a smart move, though. I have ordered custom cupcakes in the past that are just too cute. Gigi's cupcakes are always a crowd pleaser and there is a flavor for everyone. They are also really respectful of allergies which is very cool. I definitely recommend! The only struggle is when you order an assortment and everyone wants to try every single flavor- be prepared

We ordered mini pumpkin spice cupcakes for our wedding and I had sent them a picture of how I wanted them decorated. They said they could do it for an extra charge which I was fine with. The day before the wedding my sister picked them up for me and when I saw them later that night they did not look like the picture. They were suppossed to be burgundy and blush but they were more brown and barely pink. They did taste great still which is why I gave 3 stars but I sent an email and no one ever responded. The second picture is what I sent them and the first is what we received.

They sale old spoiled cupcakes! I usually go to smallcakes but we didn't feel like driving that far so we decided to try Gigi's uuughhh,these cupcakes should have been thrown out days ago. They had that old spoiled cake smell and taste, had to brush my teeth after attempting to eat em to get the taste out of my mouth. Even the kids didn't eat em. I am shocked they are in business selling spoiled food! They looked so pretty but we're days past good. Whoever owns this location is being cheap not getting rid of leftover cupcakes and still selling them. I want my $ back!!

My mother always insists (more like demands lol) on getting Gigi's cupcakes every time we are in San Antonio. My Father complies because, as they say, a happy wife is a happy life! My mother enjoys the following flavors: - Lemon crumble - Chocolate - Wedding cake I will say that I tried the cheesecake a while back and it was not my 'cup of tea', per se. However, my palette is certainly not as refined as my mother's. Gigi's sweet treats will make the special woman in your life joyous. I am giving this place one star mostly because they forgot about our cake. I ordered it 2 weeks before my daughters 5th birthday party and the day of we went to pick it up they had completely forgot about us. Unacceptable. We should have gotten the cake for free at this point, but they only discounted it. They ended up making it the morning of the party and delivering it which was the right thing to do, but at the end of the day, it was very disappointing. I will not be ordering from this place again.

Yummy!! A little pricey, but worth it. I purchased cupcakes from Gigi's for the first time this morning for my classmate's pregnancy announcement. My order consisted of 6 chocolate, 7 wedding cake, 2 red velvet, and one strawberry (for me). Wow!!! They were delicious. My classmates raved about the flavor. And the portions were huge! Went on a Saturday morning no one else there. Had to wait for the cashier to finish up some conversation she was having with a friend in the back before getting any service. Overall the cupcakes have a great presentation but lacked flavor. It was like eating a plain cake with buttercream frosting. The drink I got from the fridge had no carbonation upon further inspection I saw it was expired along with many others in that fridge. Very disappointing experience.

Loved their cupcakes. The mini cherry cheesecake is the best I have ever tasted! Tonight I just went in and got a half-hearted hello. Meh. Not a big deal. But then nothing! The girl just kept stocking the counter. Even went in the back and got a new tray of cupcakes. Came back and I still couldn't get acknowledged. Yeah. NEVER AGAIN. Their cupcakes are divine! I eat gluten free due to a medical condition and wanted these for an occasion. I reached out to them to see if I could get a few more flavors in their line as a gluten friendly option instead of their usual menu options. They were more than accommodating and of course the cupcakes looked gorgeous and tasted as if they were traditional cupcakes. Thank you for making this a wonderful and easy experience.

Gigi’s offers a wide variety of desserts but her cupcakes, in my opinion, are other-worldly. So delicious!! And the no contact delivery is a huge bonus especially for our last minute birthday plans for our daughter. The mini-sized cupcakes were perfect for our kids and they supplied just the right amount of colorful sugary fun without me being worried that they were “getting too much sugar”. Will definitely order from Gigi’s again!!

I ordered a dozen cupcakes the day before they were needed. These cupcakes were a good solution for my family with diverse flavor preferences. Reports were that they all tasted great. The gluten free ones were delicious, too. I had called ahead to ask for a tote to carry the box of cupcakes in, but when my husband got home, he said it wasn't offered. I know that's a quick fix and it doesn't detract from the quality of the cupcakes.

I have ordered from Gigi's several times recently and have been consistently happy with their cupcakes and service. They have absolutely delicious cupcakes; I'm a big fan of the triple chocolate torte. I'm also really happy that they have gluten free and dairy free options since some of us have sensitivities there. Wedding cake is also a big hit here. When ordering delivery they always arrive packed well and look and taste perfect.

We love the sweet treats they have to offer and even vegan friendly. We confirmed our orders week prior for my sons birthday and was even promised 4 specific cup cakes would be available for our pick up on Friday., but wasn’t the case. When we picked our birthday order up, I was informed the order could not be completed. A phone call would have been nice ahead of toime just to let us know our order could not be completed.

I was super excited to find this shop has gluten friendly cupcakes as a person with gluten intolerance. I got a gift card from a coworker and tried the Triple Chocolate and the Lemon Blueberry and lord heavens above the chocolate was sinfully delicious and the berry was perfectly moist and so tasty. Frostings on both were delish. Will definitely be back for a "treat yo'self" day.

From outside we were convinced and we paid price for red velvet but when my son cut his cake it wasn’t actually red velvet it looked like and taste like chocolate. Tiny cheesecakes were great. Cupcakes were good. Way too much, way too sweet frosting. Not worth the price tag. Gluten Free cupcakes, the reason we went there in the first place, were quite a disappointment. Same problems as the regular ones, PLUS not yummy gluten free cakes. Staff was friendly but the real star was this cupcake here. A little pricey but worth it. Tip..check for specials before ordering. I have been looking for a new bakery on the Northside of San Antonio and I am so happy I finally found Gigi's. The cake is moist, the icing is sweet, but not overly sweet and the lady at the register was so patient and sweet as my kids picked out a cupcakes. I will definitely be returning.

I cannot rave enough about this particular location. I ordered two cakes, and they both came out exactly how I wanted. The first cake I ordered was vegan, and the second was regular. The quality and artwork for both were terrific!

This is my favorite cupcake shop in San Antonio! The team members who work there are very friendly and organized, the store is very clean and well-laid-out. The cupcakes are phenomenal! They are moist and have the best flavor!
