I have never wrote a review before but this recent event definitely requires one. The male veterinarian showed absolutely no compassion or empathy when I had to put my cat down. It is as if he has been doing this job for far too long and has become insensitive. The vet walked away almost immediately after the procedure where my cat continued to breath and was quite traumatising for me as I was not made aware that this could happen. The vet then refused to believe I saw this and told me I was imagining it, and then once realising this was the case, injected her a second time. He also picked her up in an aggressive manner where her neck was hanging back after her death, which was also vividly traumatic for me too see. Weeks later, the dark brunette receptionist working on a Tuesday spoke very rudely to my elderly grandmother, which was most definitely the trigger to write a review. Although the kinder blonde receptionist was doing her best to help the situation, I would not recommend this vet clinic to anyone who is looking for an empathetic environment.

The best vet in Australia! My partner always takes our dogs Oscar and Pickles to Dr Tim. Our dogs have had many health issues ranging from allergies, bacterial infections and CCL. In each case, Dr Tim did an excellent job in diagnosing as well as treating the health issues of our dogs. He has so many years of experience and he is very thorough, honest and caring. For example, our kelpie ruptured her ligament. We took her to a surgeon first thinking that she needed surgery right away. The surgeon recommended the TPLO operation. We then decided to ask Dr Tim and Dr Tim recommended no-surgery, conservative management. Instead of putting our dog through a very painful TPLO surgery, we opted to follow the advice of Dr Tim, restricted our dog's movement, controlled her portions and helped her lose weight and our dog's leg is back to normal now. Barbara, the vet nurse is equally excellent. We are so lucky that our dogs can always be seen by Dr Tim. Thank you Dr Tim and Barbara.

We needed an urgent appointment for assistance bandaging up a severe (to the bone) tail wound so we could manage the wound leading up to a tail amputation the follow day (booked at the amazing Epson Road Vet if you're looking for a great vet). When we arrived and explained what we needed, we were told by Tim 'what's the point, it is being amputated anyway'. After having to ask a few times for the wound to be bandaged and prompting that infection of the wound in it's current state was highly likely, he finally took care (if you can call it that) of the wound so we could leave. The physical treatment of my cat by Tim was gut-wrenchingly difficult to watch, the man is clearly too old and senile to be working with unwell animals. Before booking this appointment, I viewed the Google reviews which tell a completely different story, so my presumption is they are mostly fake reviews. If you care about your animals, do not take them here.

I honestly could not be happier with the service from Glenroy Vet Clinic for my cat Custard, dog Donald and dog Angus (deceased). Over the years they have always been so professional, and easy to deal with. Very reliable, I have never had to wait very long at all and also have been very flexible fitting me in at the last minute. I had heard some negative remarks about how uncaring the vet was but I found the opposite to be true. The vet didn't gush over my "floofy baby" but instead was confident, knowledgeable and respectful of all my animals and that's exactly the qualities I need in a vet. Reception staff are the ones who should be gushing, and yes they do! As an added bonus they are affordable and fast for those of us who are time poor and poor poor... 10/10 recommend Glenroy Vet Clinic for you and your pet.

Previous review I’ve been taking my miniature schnauzers x 2 to Dr Jenkins for 5 years now. I drive all the way from Craigieburn to visit this clinic. I wouldn’t trust my schnauzers with any other vet. I’m reposting my review & stand by the original review I posted 4 years ago below for my first dog. A wonderful vet & clinic. It’s so rare nowadays to find genuine practitioners who have pride in their work, can put clients and their needs ahead of making money and can instantly put you at ease at a time when you’re worried about your pet. When you do you’ve found a gem. Dr Tim is a rare find and never fails to take the best of care with our little fur baby. We have numerous vets in our neighbourhood but we choose to travel to see him because his no nonsense approach and expertise is invaluable and much appreciated. He’s always made time for our calls in times of uncertainty or reassurance without unnecessary visits, and when there has been occasion to be concerned he has gone out of his way to fit us in. We highly recommend Dr Tim and his Vet clinic.

Been taking my dog Jack to a regular vet since he was a puppy and while I thought he was in good hands for all these years I was let down on one occasion which was enough for me not to return after almost 13 years. Was referred to glenroy vet Dr Tim for a second opinion on my dogs leg pain and am so glad I did! This vet has saved me thousands of dollars and even with him knowing that he was more than happy and promoted alternative treatments. Dr Tim doesn’t look at us as dollar signs. I always feel safe and calm knowing my dog is getting high quality treatment for a very reasonable price!!! So affordable! Not only that but the treatments are working! Thank you for your service! Went there this morning to book in my dog and receptionist was rude as per previous experience with this vet office. Very rude saying if I don’t like it I can take my dog to another clinic and that is exactly what I did. They don’t even update there system as my dog was there twice and the second time he got an injection and they have no data to see when and what he got Not professional at all and very rude. People take your pets where at least you get some service and hopefully they know what treatment you pet received on the last visit.

We always love bringing our fur babies to Dr Tim. He has looked after 4 of our cats over the past 10 years and he always shows the utmost care for each of them. He is happy to answer my many questions and always gives great advice. His receptionist is lovely and always helpful when we book an appointment. We are still surprised at how little Dr Tim charges for such quality care and we have recommended him to family and friends for over a decade now. You honestly could not find a better vet that Dr Tim to look after your fur babies.

Vet was very well priced and fit my ill cat in on very short notice (one hour after my phone call); which was great. However, he was very rough. My cat had an abcsess on his face that needed a clean, and the vet did it without much care for my cats distress or discomfort. He was very knowledgeable and efficient, which was great, but my cat could have used some gentler handling, especially since he is a very placid pet. However, other than that, my experiences with this clinic have always been very helpful.

Dr Tim has been treating my little dog as a puppy. I am happy to have found this very experienced veterinarian. His no nonsense attitude is really appreciated, and he gives expert advice on nutrition and of course puppy health. He has been looking after my daughter's dog for 5 years now, through a few issues, and we recommend his sensible approach. There is something that reminds me a bit of 'All creatures great and small' about this clinic. The reception staff are friendly and relaxed.

I was absolutely disappointed with this vet. Upon the advice of Moreland council I borrowed an approved trap to catch a pregnant Mum Cat in my yard. I was advised by the council to drop it at my local vet & they would pick her up. However they turned me away. I work 9-5 Monday-Friday & can’t make it RSPCA Epping or the Lost Dogs Home in time so I was hoping for a little help. Especially since I had gone out of my way to get this poor stray safely off the street. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Like all people are different, some people are going to love Dr. Tim and others will not get along as well with him. My experience is that he has always been honest, direct, professional and kind. Took my youngest pup to see him many years ago when our regular vet couldn't and she did really well with him. More recently I've been taking both my dogs here and now plan to remain with this clinic as he has been immensely helpful, as has his receptionist.

My inlaws have been going to Dr Tim for 30 years! He is honest, friendly but no nonsense . Our poor cat Zoe got into a bit of strife with her collar and whilst Dr Tim offered surgery, he was honest in that it would be a painful recovery and her life wouldnt be the same. A tough decision to make, but she went peacefully in my arms over the rainbow bridge. He also offered to have her buried on his friends farm. Dont ever retire Dr Tim, youre the best!

I started taking my cat to Tim many years ago and loved the standard of care, the fast response times (getting an appointment that fit in with my schedule has never been a problem) and incredible prices so much, that from day one my dogs have been under Tim's care. I take comfort knowing my fur family is in the best care and I don't haven't had to take out a second mortgage on our home when issues arise. I will recommend Glenroy Vet to anyone!

Highly rate this vet clinic. I woke up this morning to find my German shepherd dog feeling weak and lethargic and wouldn’t eat . I rang the clinic and the lovely lady at reception managed to fit me in straight away .(which most vet clinics won’t do from experience) Dr Tim examined my dog and gave him some antibiotics and I’m already seeing some improvement in just a few short hours and at a very reasonable price. I chose Glenroy Vet Clinic for my cat Beef after reading many complimentary reviews of Dr Tim on my neighbourhood forum. I’m so glad I did! Dr Tim and Barbara are incredible – super experienced, caring and helpful, even when Beef is less than happy to see them. Friendly, no-nonsense service and always spot on with a diagnosis. VERY reasonably priced and never pushy with unnecessary procedures or products. I’d never take my boy anywhere else.

Great vet. Very punctual, we didn't have to wait. Today he removed a grass seed from my very large and boisterous dog's paw. The vet was kind, gentle, and also patient as I was trying to manage the dog and 2 small children at the same time. Reasonably priced. The receptionist is also lovely and helped me get the kids and the dog back into the car. Great first impression!

I've taken my cocker spaniel here twice on the recommendation of several satisfied family friends. Dr Tim is one of the most affordable with great quality vet in Melb. He's helped my boy with his frequent ear infections and I'm more than happy to make the drive when needed. Since it's COVID season, be sure to get straight to the point and be out for other furry patients.

Great service, great care - Dr Tim is terrific!! Today I was let in during lunch closure to collect extra meds and whilst Dr Tim was not there, the receptionists asked so many questions about my pup's symptoms/health to ensure the dosage and meds were still correct. The file was updated as we spoke, then she started her lunch - can't get better service than that.

I have been to this vet clinic with 5 different animals over 20 years now. I only have good things to say and the greatest respect for Dr Jenkins and his staff. Took my pup, Coco for a vaccination. He was able to schedule me in quickly and was very on time. He is very experienced and very affordable - about $40 cheaper than most vet clinics. Dr Jenkins was so patient with my dog who happened to throw a tantrum at the clinic. The dog had to be handled quite rough given my dogs behavior was not at its best. I personally don't mind that as long as she was getting proper treatment. Very reasonable prices and quick to diagnose the issue. Was very pleased the first visit itself.

I have been coming to Dr Tim for 4 years now, so glad I found him. My dog suffers from frequent ear infections and I have paid significant amount of money for numerous skin and allergy tests elsewhere in the past. I had taken my dog a few times and always found them wonderful and very affordable. Sadly a few weeks ago I had to have my darling little dog put to sleep. Unlike many other larger local vet's operating in the area, Tim does not play on your fears regarding your pet's health! He is very efficient, kind, and does not cost the earth to attend. By far the most knowledgeable and reasonable vet we've visited.
