What's good about dough full of Herbicides? Sugar full of heavy metals and pesticides? Eggs from CAFOs? I don't get the Good in Gooddough... Other than taste... Went for a vegan donut, my friend insisted I tried one... Left with horrible indigestion and a bad taste in my mouth for how cheap most places here in Jacksonville produce their Fad products. Nothing is Healthy or Quality about Gooddough that I could see or learn of from asking many questions, it's nothing but a glorified Dunkin Donuts. Nothing is Local. Nothing is Organic. The donuts were poor quality compared to Sweet Theory's just over the Bridge on King St... And Sweet Theory's donuts are all vegan and Organic... Best donuts in Jacksonville are at Sweet Theory. Gooddough should shut down and become a second Sweet Theory location, lord knows Sweet Theory sells out of their donuts so fast on Saturdays they could use another location. Whole point is... Gooddough doesn't live up to it's name. If I need a vegan donut... I have a Theory I will be standing in a long line on King St waiting patiently for some truly high quality ingredients and love put into it. Plus the Cinnamon rolls at Sweet Theory are beyond words good.... and the vegan ice cream... And the "Club Chik"... Best breakfast sandwich in Jax!
Ok so normally I don't review and rate donut shops. Today I must make an exception for Good Dough Donuts on HENDRICKS AVE. The shop is a cozy little place and if you don't pay attention you will pass it. With that said the unique flavor of the donuts and combinations of donut toppings this alone is worth the trip, or visit Town Center location. I was first peaked when I found out that two of my favorite flavors could be found on one donut, butterscotch and bacon, I had to check this out. Awesome combinations of flavor btw imho. They also have a Doughwich, sandwich in a donut, the chicken and the bacon egg and cheese are absolutely delicious. I have not tried the avocado one well in honesty avocado is not my favorite to start with. The staff were very friendly and I have nothing but high praise for the service. Definitely will be going back.
Anytime I travel I try the highest rated doughnut shop. This one had good reviews so we decided to go! The guy behind the counter was so nice. We got half a dozen doughnuts to try. He recommended 3 and we picked another 3 for ourselves. We ordered brown butter glazed, blueberry bourbon basil, citrus olive oil and toasted almond streusel, Molly Ringwald, strawberry shortcake pop and original glaze. They donuts were all good but they weren’t different. This place only fry’s the dough then the puts different frosting or toppings on them. The flavors were different and unique but passed that the bread is all the same.. so it just tasted like I was eating the same thing when I tried a different flavor. Not trying to be too mean but I just think this place has a long way to go. Nothing really makes them special. Cute place though.
My niece wanted donut, but I didn't want to go to chain donut place. I decided to check out Good Dough. I'm not a huge donut fan (I guess I gorged out on honey buns as a kid lol), but I was still excited to try these donuts. We decide to get three donuts to take a taste of some different options. We got the matcha, strawberry cheesecake, and the brown butter donuts. The texture of the donuts were dense which was nice. I felt that the strawberry cheesecake and brown butter was a little to sweet for me. The matcha was an interesting pair for a donut. I think I probably should have just gotten the original because I really enjoyed the donuts alone but the glaze and topping for me were a little too sweet, but again I'm not a big donut person. I would love to try this place again. Also, they make a nice chai tea latte.
My wife loves doughnuts from Good Dough, so for her birthday I ordered a dozen of her favorite, which they wouldn’t normally have in July. They were, of course, delicious (according to my wife - most of their doughnuts are too sweet for my taste). Fast forward four and a half months to my birthday. My wife placed a custom doughnut order. For chocolate doughnuts with coconut on top. Which Good Dough has, as far as I know, never even made! No matter… They were happy to make them. And they were delicious! My only complaint is that the parking can be a bit of a hassle on weekend mornings. Be prepared to shoehorn in somehow, or park out on the street nearby.

For the most part, I love almost every donut at Good Dough. Their doughwiches are absolutely BOMB and a must have. I've had the ham egg and cheese on a donut and that was incredible but nothing compares to the fried chicken doughwich. We almost went back for another one because we liked it so much. As for the donuts, Bananas Foster is one of my favorites. Chai is also really good, but can at times be dry. The whipped cream on top does help. Classic glazed is also good but same issue as above.

Came in on Saturday (5/6) to try something other than Shipleys and wasn't disappointed. Got the chocolate with sprinkles and absolutely loved it! My wife had the Dolce de Leche which she enjoyed. The donut was a little dense but not too crazy. Overall these donuts were delicious. Also for later on also had the Wild Berry I wasn't too impressed with the jelly fill but it wasn't the worse. Figured I try something different. Still everyone has their own tastes. My wife also got the Cookie Dough donut and loved it. Again everyone should try it who knows what they may or may not like, but either way I would visit here again in a heartbeat and so should you!
I'm a bit of a donut connoisseur. I sample donuts from shops all over the country, judging the donuts not by the toppings (anyone can through a crumbled candy bar on a donut), but rather for the quality of the dough and the oil it's fried in. And let me say, Good Dough isn't just "good". It's fantastic. Their dough is excellent and though I'm not certain what kind of oil they fry them in, they definitely keep that oil fresh because these donuts are some of the best I've ever had. Keep up the great work!

Really solid experience. Donut shop was nice and clean and plenty of selection on the donuts. The donuts were dense but slightly on the drier side. I really enjoyed mine but it was something I noted. The doughnuts weren't super sweet like some other donuts, I personally really liked the less sweet but if you're looking for overpoweringly sweet then it might not be for you. Staff was great and helpful. I would recommend giving it a try.

What a lovely little cafe! You must try the butterscotch bacon donut! The environment, workers and food were all well above excellent! Every month they change out flavors but they do keep the same chocolate and glazed available! Lots of drinks to choose from including chais, coffees, and currently ciders. Husband grabbed some lemonade since it was a little past noon. I LOVED the butterscotch bacon and brown butter donut! I also enjoyed my cranberry cream cheese cake donut. It's way more filling and reminded me of something similar inside Starbucks I used to get a long time ago. We'll be back soon!
I've been wanting to try Good Dough since they opened and this past weekend I finally had a chance. I have visited their location in Hendricks Avenue twice previously, but both times they were pretty much sold out of donuts. I happened to be at the Town Center fairly early on a Sunday morning an remembered that Good Dough now has a location there. On this trip I just tried the chocolate doughnut with sprinkles. It is a good sized doughnut with a nice "chew" to it, definitely fresh. If you like doughnuts, it's worth a try. On my next visit, I plan on trying the french toast cake doughnut :)
Customer service was excellent, however after paying $14 for two donuts and two small coffees, my SO said that I could have gotten them from a gas station and he wouldn't have known the difference. The atmosphere is a bit stark and very minimalist. Overall a quaint spot for a coffee date. Would come back to try a couple more donut varieties when in the neighborhood but wouldn't go out of my way to get them.

Brown Butter Doughnut
What I like about the doughnuts here is the texture and that they aren't dry. They are rich and most are flavorful. I think the raised are preferable to the old fashioned, but that is my opinion. Favorites have been the Molly Ringwald, Vietnamese coffee, and the Bob Ross. Those last two were some special weekly flavors I hope they bring back. The brown butter and the cardamom sugar are good basic flavors, and the triple chocolate is decadent. I think the lemon poppy seed needed more lemon, and was a little dry and crumbly. I want to try a doughwich still. Also, love the coffee here!
Good Dough is one of my favorite places to get a treat in Jax! I love that they have a new menu every month to keep things interesting and seasonal, but there are also some donuts that are available all the time, like the delicious brown butter. There are even vegan options on Fridays, and weekend specials too. The people are always friendly and the coffee is great! There’s a small play area that’s perfect for when my toddler is with me. When family visits from out of town, Good Dough is always one of our stops. If you haven’t been by yet, you’re missing out!
This is the only place around where I found an authentic cappuccino, like the ones I had in Italy. The donuts are very good too, big and fluffy, it took me a whole day to finish it. I’ve bought from here twice and both times I had a great experience. I spent about $8 and change for a specialty donut and a cappuccino, worth it for sure. I would go more often if it was any cheaper. But that’s a subjective experience.

Good Dough is aptly named - really fresh, very Good Doughnuts that brought back memories of the days when my sister and I convinced our parents to drag out the fryer and create a batch of homemade doughnuts. I had an amazing salted caramel cappuccino. We have a highly discerning coffee lover in the family who gave the coffee his high ratings as well. They even have a little practice oven for all their #WinDoughBabies with future baking aspirations. Every employee was warm and kind and eager to serve. What a pleasant addition to San Marco!
I stopped by on Friday because was told that’s when they cook their vegan options. It was around 8:30pm and unfortunately were sold out of vegan doughnuts. The long blond haired lady was very sweet and nice. She expressed her regret for the lack of vegan doughnuts, and recommended the vegan cookies. I bought four. They tasted very yummmmyyyy! I also bought lavender flavored coffee which had quite a distinct taste. I enjoyed it a lot. The doughnut shop has minimalist yet trendy furnishings, color scheme, and lighting. Check them out!
This place has been on my donut radar for a while so I made a trip to Jacksonville the San Marco area. The donuts were mid. The ones made with fruit didn’t last after a day, and tasted and smelled terrible. The brown butter and glazed weren’t that bad and probably the best ones they offer, but you can definitely find better donuts at a hole in the wall donut shop. I would say if you plan on eating a fruit donut, get it first thing when they open and eat it within an hour or two. The taste of their donuts aren’t worth the price imo.
They have vegan donuts every Friday and they are absolutely delicious

I love doughnuts and was excited at the chance to try some place new thar wasn't a chain. I only got doughnuts, although they offer other things on the menu. It was really expensive at $33 for a dozen doughnuts I thought they better be worth the dough and to my dissatisfaction they were not. The dough was more like a bread dough and just not what I was expecting from a fluffy doughnut. If I do go back it would be to try out their other items. Just remember to bring your wallet. :)
I was the first person in the door at 9 a.m. there was probably 20 people after me waiting to get in the door. I had found this place by googling gourmet donuts because I wanted something different today. I drove 20 minutes from my house and it was so worth it. I got a dozen donuts but I don't think I want to share with anybody. I also tried the ham egg and cheese stuffed in a donut it was so good. Don't ask yourself if you should try it just do it just do it.
Ah Good Dough. Thinking of your Vegan Fridays makes my heart sing ❤️ Good Dough certainly fills the void of delicious vegan doughnuts. I definitely recommend calling ahead because they WILL sell out, especially since they close earlier than before. My personal favorite is the savory avocado vegan doughst (I think I spelled it right?) with avocado and an amazing local hot sauce on half of a vegan doughnut Remember: Fridays. Call ahead. Enjoy!
Easily the best donut place EVER! Super soft, light and flavorful! Here is Cosmic Brownie, Strawberry Glazed, and Brown Butter. I also have to add that the strawberry glazed taste like real strawberries which was 100x better than typical artificially flavored glazes. Bring in your family, or call in an order. They also make sandwiches, espresso drinks, coffee’s, specialty drinks, and offer free purified water. My new go to spot!
Good Dough does live up to its name of 'good dough!' The donuts are interesting and flavors are refreshed monthly to keep a fluid menu. They are handmade so they have a much nicer flavor than donut chains. There are 'classics,' including the cardamom sugar (my personal favorite) and Molly ringwald (raspberry iced with sprinkles) but what steals the show for me is the chocolate ganache latte! Not super sweet but always tasty.
The Baklava Donut is my absolute favorite!!!! The Creme Brulee Donut was phenomenal! My Shakerato was blended perfectly! Customer Service was superb and the atmosphere was happy and peaceful!! Very balanced while also being a great place for coffee dates, regular dates, and just anytime actually! The aroma of happiness hits you before you walk in! Will most definitely be making alot of trips here!!!
Unfortunately, we were disappointed. I saw a video review of the shop and was eager to try it out. We purchased 6 donuts…around $18ish. $2.50-$3.50 each. Ok they are artisan, however the taste was really off, almost like the oil needs to be changed. Also the donuts were dense and chewy. I know a lot of work goes into making this process, however sadly this was a thumbs down.
This is a very cool gourmet doughnut spot located on Hendricks Avenue in San Marco. The flavors are unique and nontraditional. I had the butterscotch and bacon flavor and my 97-year-old father had the Strawberry. Parking is in the rear off of LaSalle. Very friendly staff! Be prepared for the prices, but it is worth it.

What a gem of a donut shop! They had such a yummy variety of soft cake donuts. The flavors were right on the mark with one of my favorites being the Banana Pudding bomb. So good!! I took these to work and they were decimated. They are pretty big donuts too so you can cut them up and share the different flavors. The customer service was great too. I highly recommend!
Tasty doughnuts at Good Dough! Definitely pricey and usually go for a special treat. Happy to see vegan options. My favorites are the cake doughnuts but they have both cake and fried. There’s always a good crowd on the weekends, and the friendly staff are knowledgeable and happy to help. Great place for Insta-worthy treats and great coffee! Easy parking, too.
This was a really nice little donut shop. The flavors were creative and unique. I had the Irish coffee cream filled and the butter flavor donut. Both were very good, but the Irish cream was too small for the price. The best part is definitely their unique sandwiches with the glazed donut bun. The Fried chicken Sandwich was a sweet and spicy treat!
I tried their Fried Chicken Doughwich - buttermilk marinated chicken, beer battered with Intuition Ale Works Kolsch style beer. It sits comfortably on an artisan glazed donut handmade from scratch. Fresh pickles, a dash of hot sauce, and house made honey butter completes this masterpiece. Come here every chance you get to eat their donuts!!
What a great and unique selection of donuts. Their selection changes, so you need to check back. Some of the unique but very delicious flavors we had are London Fog, Bacon & Butterscotch, Brown Butter, Olive Oil & Citrus, Strawberry Cake Pop (like that famous ice cream bar you know), and Somoa. Definitely a Must Try! if you like donuts.
Awesome place! Reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. A guy with glasses helped me today and was very knowledgeable. I got their donut of the month which was a prized bun filled with Nutella and I also got the butterscotch with bacon! Both were gone before I left my parking spot! Lol delicious! Note: They have parking behind the shop.
BEST DONUTS IN JAX! I'm not a fan of cake donuts, so the textures here are right up my alley. They're flaky, airy and decadent. They're not just donuts where all you can taste is just sugar, you can really taste the flavors.I love the fact that they have a new menu every month also

Finally! a great donut shop in town! I'm addictive to this place now. I barely eat donut & when I do I go for hot & fresh Krispy Cream (original glaze) that's it! This place makes me wanna eat all flavor in their menu & makes me wanna go everyday! Price is up there but it's really worth it! It's a damn "good dough" indeed!
Yummm, I can't say enough good things about this place; stellar service, tasty food and clean environment. Doughnuts are delicious and not over sweet like some places. Super crowded around 9:15am on Sunday but perfect time to get them fresh. They have a nice window so watch them make the savory creations. Will return for sure.
Upscale donuts, what's not to like? Not sure if it's a good or bad thing they aren't open later, cause I would definitely eat more if they were

Best donuts in town for sure. Brown butter is a staple so definitely try it. They switch flavors every month so it never gets old. Friendly calm atmosphere. Great place to go solo and have a coffee or go with a group. If you're into something savory definitely try the fried chicken doughwich I can't recommend it enough!
My first visit I went just for the reeses doughnut. It was perfect. Ended up going home with a dozen other doughnuts to try. Gentleman behind the counter was friendly and efficient getting everyone's order and drinks together. I dont care for san Marco area. But I do like this place. Wish it was in a better location!
Honestly the best Artisan doughnuts in Jacksonville. Eye pleasing and delicious doughnuts of every imaginable flavor. They also have doughnut sandwiches (doughwiches). If you don't give this shop a try, you will miss something awesome! There is no street parking in the front....Parking is in the rear of the shops.
Good Dough was recommended to me, so I gave the Breakfast sandwich and Glazed doughnut a try. The BEST breakfast sandwich I've had. Now, I stop by at least two to three times a week. The doughnuts are really good as well. Love the vibe of this Doughnut Shop. I'll be there in the morning for my breakfast sandwich.
Great customer service but way way way overpriced and the donuts truly are just ok. They look really good but when it comes to taste, I just don’t think they worth the price at all, it was over $16 for 4 donuts (2 were very basic).

The most delicious donuts on planet earth. My boyfriend buys me these when I get mad at him and I always instantly forgive him which is pretty much every day. The place is really well it and it’s got this really nice atmosphere. Their drinks are also really good I got a dirty try today and it was …
The doughnuts I had were EXCELLENT. Not too sweet & not greasy. The chicken doughwhich, was NOT for me. Chicken was over cooked and salty in some areas. Batter did not even stay on chicken. There was a red sauce that was horrible and did not go well with doughwhich. Definitely a NO NO.
Amazing doughnuts the best I've ever had. My favorite was the butter pecan but I tried the layered canoli in September and I now have a new favorite.

I have had much better donuts. The donuts are a bit oily. The toppings have way too much butter in them and are awfully sweet. The salted caramel donut was a disappointment as was the Bacon and butterscotch one. The price is pretty expensive for donuts that didn't blow me away.
Extremely overpriced. Definitely not worth it. Very disappointed. The donuts taste stale. The flavors were unique to say the least. Had to throw eight out of the dozen out because no one would eat them not even the kids.

They hold true to their name! Besides the amazing flavors their dough is exceptional in my opinion.. They also have a few sandwiches you can get on a doughnut which I will be back to try.. Follow on Instagram for the inside scoop on special flavors, thank me later …
This place is craft version of Krispy Kreme/Dunkin Donuts! They rotate their doughnut menu every month. New fresh shipments come to the store every 2 hours. I had the Brown Butter doughnut, if Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut were gourmet this would be the one! …
Cake donuts were drowning in grease. Bread donuts were over cooked. I viewed cross contamination in the prep area and the serving area. It's loud inside the donut shop because of the hard floors. Won't accept paper cash. Won't accept change. Avoid this place.
From the moment I walked in the door, I was hooked. The clean, white interior coupled with the fun music and friendly staff makes this place the perfect hangout for family and friends. The food is also amazing but I'll let you find out for yourself …
I had to get in and out because I was in a rush, but I know that after eating that donut in hurry, I will make my way back to Good Dough soon enough to enjoy the whole experience. Matcha donut was made to perfection. The glaze even melts in your mouth.
Hipster doughnuts and I don't mean that derisivevly. Interesting and unique flavors that aren't overly precious. Cute styled shop that is clean and spacious. 4 stars not 5 because the doughnut itself, as opposed to the toppings, needs to be better.
Good donuts! Coffee is pretty good too. Sometimes their options for donuts is too specific! But that’s just me :)

The donuts and coffee were delicious! Great space and even had a little play area for the kids across from a window into the back of the shop! Parking can be dicey as there are no spots on Hendricks, but it's worth a lap around the block for this!
Really great little spot. They have some breakfast foods, doughnuts of course, and carry coffee from Murray Hill's Vagabond Coffee (another personal favorite.) Their donuts are super fluffy and delicious. Will be going back, like, in 10 minutes.
Good Dough has been on my list of Jax donuts to try. These donuts were just average, but they have plenty of unique flavors to explore. I tried the Mangonada and Brown Butter. The doughnuts were fluffy and light, but were on the dryer side.
I was utterly amazed by how good these donuts were! The dough was not heavy or dense. They weren’t overly sweet and didn’t leave your mouth feeling all sugary. My absolute fave was the blackberry with sweet corn. What a combination!
The donuts are very good if you go on the weekend. They're coming out still warm and delicious. My first time was during the week which wasn't as good as the second time on a Saturday. Definitely recommend the butterscotch bacon.
First time here doughnuts are good taste not too sweet. Cold brew is bit sour but overall taste good. Love their hot chai latte as well. Only thing I don’t really like is hard to find parking but definitely will be back!
Incredible rotating menu of donuts. Come here everyday for something new. Everything is homemade and handmade, including the coffee flavors. The coffee is delicious and sourced from another local Jacksonville supplier.
I’m always a little skeptical of a donut shop sandwiches but then after experiencing the doughwich I can confidently say that this that this is first an incredible sandwich shop and second a delightful donut shop.

Wonderful doughnut shop and cafe. Amazing VEGAN doughnuts on Fridays! Delicious matcha lattes, espresso, and cold brew coffee. Beautiful decor and lively, family friendly atmosphere with lovely staff members
What can I say? It’s a gourmet donut shop with phenomenal coffee and friendly folks. Cool vibe, nice location, fantastic selection and quality. A must-visit for anyone, especially those with a sweet tooth!
Cute little donut shop with cool donuts! They are more chewy and thick than other donuts so if that’s your style you will love these! The staff were awesome and everyone was having a good time
Friendly staff. No waits, no lines. If you like buttery, chewy brioche donuts this is for you. Their weekend specials are layered donuts (croissant like) and changes every month! So delicious!
Donuts are aesthetically pleasing however, they look better than they taste. Donuts were dry with not much flavor but I would try again probably earlier in the day when they are more fresh.
Great little gem in Downtown Jacksonville...selection of donuts were plentiful, from brioche to cake to even Vegan. Very clean place and friendly staff, definitely visit again.
Yes, I'm that chick who was all set to get my healthy groove on this morning and headed down to the southbank Riverwalk to catch the sunrise... two rescue puppers in tow.
Maple bacon.... thats the review the brown butter donut is also delish.. the quality of the actual donut is perfect and toppings are melt in your mouth good!! …

It is so hard to decide what to get. The flan donut was amazing and the brown butter chocolate donut was great too. The chocolate stout was on another level.

Their letter doughnuts were a fun alternative to birthday cake! Several flavor options available but original was chosen for decorating purposes.
This was my first time donuts were pretty good a little pricey tho but i guess when it's artisan donuts why complain I'll be back to try more.
I left a review last month because I bit into a huge piece of plastic. I'm bot sure where the review went, but be careful eating here. More
Great donuts and coffee. Very relaxed scene. Menu changes frequently so their products never get stale (see what I did there).
Breakfast sandwiches are delicious! Lots of donut choices. Donuts taste fresh and delicious. Customer service is very good.
First time trying and loved it!! Got 8 donuts for just two people. The butterscotch bacon donut was the best for us …
This place is unique and I absolutely loved it!! ♥️ The donuts are delicious and do not disappoint!! Stop in and see them!
Great speciality donut place.. cool experience and definitely worth the visit. U will find a flavor you love....
I had avocado toast, on a donut :) It was very delicious. Not sweet ar all. Very clean place, great service.
Absolutely Fresh & Delicious Donuts!! Their donuts are unique. My Family Loved every bite …
