Booked a taxi in advance. 15 minutes late. Missed my train. Updated 8/12/23. I emailed the address given but it came back . I eventually phoned and spoke to the manager who said that this wasn;t even the email! Unfortunately, she wasn't able to help me which is diappointing. What is the point of booking a service if it doesn't provide it. She has told me that she will put me on a priority list. Lets see if this makes a difference. I try to use Good wins rather than Uber and they are usually very good. This time though I am £60 out of pocket as I missed my train, missed a family outing and a further £10 for a taxi. Very disappointing and upsetting.

Absolute terrible customer service said ten minute waiting time came after half an hour the company then rung me up saying that I couldn’t send my high school daughter on her own because legally you are not allowed too when I checked this fact it said their is no legal age limit it’s down to the parent and how responsible they think the child is my daughter was going 5 minutes up the road and I can track her and she stays on the phone to me. I could t go with her because I had another primary school daughter to get to school and my eldest had missed the bus hence why I got her a taxi

I booked a cab with Scott's Cars and asked if it will be okay to bring my small dog with me, as she will sit on my lap and does not lose any hair. The lady speaking said that would be fine, no problem. But unfortunately, when he arrived, he said that he doesn't take dogs. I explained that the lady said it was fine but he said that I was given the wrong information. He eventually agreed to take her but at an extra cost of £4!!! I said that she can sit on my lap but he still charged me extra. I am extremely disappointed with this breakdown in communication and their service

Goodwins Olympic is the best taxi company in Manchester. I have been using they service for over a year now and I am very satisfied. Very affordable taxi fare. Very good drivers, they share the planned route to the destination so they know your opinion and also for them to expand their knowledge wish show the willing of improvement in their organisation and good delivering. Quick pick up expecially when you use the app to book. They contact you once arrived by text and also by call. Well done !! they have made my life easier a few times.

I've been using Goodwins for years, decades in fact, always tried to stay loyal and support local businesses but as a customer you need to be able to rely on cars coming if they have been booked and turning up when they're supposed to, not when they decide to send one! Management need to realise times are different now and to survive and thrive you need to be reliable, otherwise people will go elsewhere. We're living in a different era now, so you need to remember that and not let your customers down because that's all they'll remember!

I was going with one of your taxis from Chorlton to Manchester Airport this morning. The advisor told me over the phone that it will cost me £21, the driver asked me to pay almost £24, but when I gave him.£30 he said he has no change...how come? Eventually I had to pay over £26 which is ridiculous. By the way I had never had problems like this before, not with your company :( Wish I could give you better rating today, as I have always been happy with the service.

On time which was good, although driver was given wrong house number despite using you for years. Why was it a Goodwins taxi when i ordered through Scotts? Price has gone up considerably, Passenger Cars £22 you charge £25. why is it everytime we specifically ask for a car with a card machine to pay the reply is always "its out of order". This happens everytime which is very annoying. What would happen if we weren't able to get the cash together?

Terrifying: firstly i had to walk to the next street as the driver was clearly lost, then reaching speeds of 50mph on a busy Brooklands road which has a speed of maximum 30mph. Running a red filter light at the roadworks was bad enough then having to slam on his brakes I attempted to record this appalling driving but was concentrating on clinging to the seat. Getting to work safely is my priority, not trying to break the land speed record.

Since you took over from New Moon your prices have shot up. I used your taxi service from Morrisons Chorlton to 284 Dickenson Rd today and it cost me £12.50!!! Apparently the fares & petrol had gone up. Usual excuse...... New Moon prices used to be between £8 & £8.50 and even with a price increase they would have charged NO more than £10.50 for sure. Absolutely disgraceful - you are now no different from the black cabs.

Tried booking taxi several times over past 2-3 months on the app, including today 27 April, but got the following: 1. No service in this area. 2. No driver at this location. 3. No drivers available for this area. 4. Zone not covered. 5. Sorry, we do not offer service to your pickup and destination addresses. 6. App crashes Clearly the app is not fit for purpose. No problems encountered when booking over the phone.

Awful service. Lady on the phone said 10 mins. 20 mins later we call for an update on our taxis arrival and she stated they had came and left. Despite us not receiving any calls nor a confirmation text for our initial booking. After explaining this, we was told that we need to make sure we’re actually ready for the taxi and that one would arrive soon followed by an abrupt hanging up of the call. Rude staff

Awful taxi service. You book they tell you a long time then the drivers lie and say they have bin when they haven’t worst taxi ever leaving me in the cold with my new born babies it’s disgusting ! N I wouldn’t mind but instead of being helpful they say I have to wait another HOUR! When I should of bin priority since no one actually turned up Guess I’ll be downloading Uber from now on

I pre booked in the app. My taxi didn’t arrive. I had prepayed in the app using Apple Pay. The driver said it was a cash payment not prepayed, despite my banking app showing the payment. Apparently there is a new app, and the pending payment will not be taken. I have followed the link to the new app. It is android only so I can’t use it. This used to be such a reliable taxi company…

The driver was telling me how a passenger had got into his taxi. When they arrived at his home he told the driver that this was the drunk, I mean wrong house! The driver had to check with reception to make sure it was the right house..,I couldn’t stop , I’m still laughing now! It’s been a hard fortnight, but that really did make me smile wider than a Cheshire Cat!

Ordered a taxi, was told 10 mins. After 20 I ring for an update, was told 10 mins. After another 20 mins I ring and was told 10 mins. So I ordered an Uber which was here in 5 minutes. While waiting for my Uber I tried to call Goodwins Olympic to cancel and it would ring and ring then someone would pick up and hang up. They hung up 3 times before I got through to cancel.

My to go taxi service, I have used this firm for years and never had a problem, I got on great with all the drivers, when ringing the firm they always called me by my first name , which I thought was a very nice thing to do, as it made me feel they knew me and my needs. I would recommend this firm they are very good and very polite.

Went to them tonight, and while I usually get good service off of them they would not offer me who is vulnerable with my laptop and expensive belongings in bag, a place as I was short by £3. I had the rest of the sum up front and I used to use them on a daily basis but tonight they left me out in the cold literally. Disgusting.

Not pleased with driver, as blamed satnav n I had to , insist we were NOT where I wanted to be!! Not good. Taxi was booked the night before. It was late, he had no idea where he was going (Lloyd St) in Manchester and no sat nav, rather using his phone to talk to his friend. He was rude and disinterested. I nearly booked an uber, I've been using Goodwins since the late 1980s, but it's time to move onto Uber I think.

Driver was polite and did a good service. However Goodwin, much like Scott'scars, suffers from a situation where their service fails to notify a user if a driver is on the way or arrived, leading to confusion and when other methods are sought out and they arrive 15 minutes later.

Taxi arrived a short while after I expected. Was told 5 minutes but it came after close to 15 minutes. Still not bad. Car was slightly unclean and driver not very inviting, but did have decent manners. No issues with the drive, and arrived at destination in good time.

Very rude over charged me ,excuse was that if using card machine then you have to pay additional £1 I’ve always used card for taxis and never paid extra than what my fair was ! I don’t care how much it is it’s the principle of just taking it before telling me.

Lovely taxi driver this morning chatting with me and my son. The taxi came quickly, and when my son left his football boots in the car the driver came back to where he’d dropped us to return them straight away so we made the match in time. Thanks.

Doesn’t even deserve a star. The driver drove at 20mile to run up the tariff. What would cost 12£ each time I do the journey cost me 20.10£. This is why people prefer Uber and it’s what I’ll use from now on. On the Uber website it’s 10.63£

I don't recommend. Taxi had been pre-booked for an early start, but didn't show up until I called a couple of times. Eventually it came and the driver was a bit "offish". The vehicle was filthy...and when I asked the cost for a literal

Great service . Friendly and fast pick up. Average prices which are fair at today's rates. .they will give you a discount for long trips as mine was if you call and ask. . They knocked off around 10% for me as I was going 50 miles.

Driver didn't give a complete change...I informed the caller that I have 50 gbp in cash and she confirmed that driver will give the change but he returned only 16 gbp...it was my fault I didn't say d driver too about my 50 gbp

Very unpleasant journey to the airport, driver took wrong turn and ended up costing us 8 pound more from what we were quoted and the driver smelled bad, he also shouted at me when I asked how "much longer to the airport"

Spot on time for airport run very early in the morning (4.45). Club cars said they couldn't guarantee they'd be on time so I said I'd go elsewhere. Should've gone with Goodwin's straight off. Will do next time
