Update: I contacted the email they left below and they promptly called me. They said they would get back to me after doing further searches and then they didn't! I still don't have my things or compensation for them. The inventory assessment man did not show up at the first appointment, which was frustrating as I was staying up after night shift. He showed up the next time. The packer was fine, though he packed some things he wasn't meant to. Then I had been told that I could easily access my belongings in storage, which is not true. You need an appointment and the time frames are small. The customer service at the Hobart branch scales from bad to acceptable. Then when transferring my belongings to my new state, they lost several of the items including some which were irreplaceable. They were logged in my inventory so I'm not sure how that happened. Other items were damaged. This was surprising for the price that they were charging for the small number of belongings I had (just one room). After many emails and calls, which were often unanswered, they offered me a small amount of compensation. I managed to negotiate for more but ultimately I wanted my things back. I went to the ombudsman and was then contacted by an East coast manager who said he would perform a new search and get back to me. He never did, and he left no contact details.

We moved from Sydney to Tasmania a month and a half ago with Grace Removals. The person running this place is absolutely rude and had been ghosting my partner, who was trying to set a time and date for delivery. The manager or whoever, did not pick up the phone at all until I tried to call with a phone they have not received a call from in which they did pick up and then we managed to get a time and date. The person who I was talking to realised who it was and then started to act as if they couldn't make the delivery at the time, but luckily we managed. The delivery guys were great as they told us that their next delivery wasn't until later on, which they would've had time for even if we booked a later time. Me and my partner had been trying to get through to them about the grace removal cardboard pick-ups, which they said they do, but it's been a month since and still haven't received an update. We've tried to contact them multiple times afterward to get an update on it, but they replied with 'we'll let you know when we are in the area'. There was one time when they said they'd do the cardboard pick up that week and will instruct us what to do but we never got a follow up email on it and right now we are just cutting up cardboard to throw away in our own recycling bin for every recycling pick ups. It's absolutely disappointing.

After being referred to by a family members friend we had trust in this company to move us from Brisbane to Hobart. Never again will I use this company. At first they were great changed dates for us when we needed was told around the 2 week mark to make it to tasmania after 3 weeks of not hearing anything we contacted them were told either the Friday or Monday, They didn’t show until the following Thursday almost 4 weeks after pickup. That was the least of our worries once delivered the damage on our furniture was absolutely shocking. Our coffee table was so badly damaged the drawers are completely snapped and is now unusable. We were told they would assemble everything but that wasn’t done either. They left our fridge and washing machine outside, reason apparently being they couldn’t get the fridge through the front door but my 77 year old grandfather got it through the door I don’t know how professionals couldn’t mange it. I reached out to the Hobart office they gave me a email to send the photos to was told will get back to you later that afternoon (Friday 21st August) still haven’t heard a thing. I’ve waited to write a review to see how they would handle the whole situation as accidents do happen but they don’t seem to want to help solve the problem.

If I could give negative stars I would. The WORST experience of my life! Decided to give them the benefit of the doubt after the promises we receivef after contacting several other removals but this is our biggest regret. Was promised the world when we first started and then was left with no furniture after a massive move for almost 2 weeks with 0 regard or empathy. Lied to the entire process and tried to charge us extra for their negligence after under quoting (he physically came to our house and did the inventory!!!) They were rough as guts with our boxes, things were broken, and then was basically told "not out problem". Daniel was meant to handle everything but as soon as we signed it all over he was quiet, unresponsive, and passed the blame and authority on to anyone but himself. We moved from the Gold Coast to Tasmania and had nothing but issues the entire way through. Guys were smoking and taking massive breaks when unpacking the truck so half our stuff smelled like cigarette, and our brand new carpers were COVERED in mud due to them not putting down any blankets over the muddy areas. Use ANYONE else but Grace Removals!!! Absolutely nightmare of an experience.

In Hobart, Andrea Ripper was excellent. Comprehensive, efficient, professional customer service. The packing & loading process appeared to go well. And although we were warned that it could take 3 or 4 weeks for our personal effects to arrive in Cairns due to heavy rain delays, our effects arrived 'only' 18 days later. However the delivery & unloading process in Cairns was not as satisfactory. After being advised that the truck would arrive between 1 pm and 1.30 pm on Wed 18 April, by 1.45 pm there was no truck and no phone call. Upon my calling Grace, the person who answered the call advised that she was only the receptionist and didn't know what had happened. After she called back we were advised that the truck wouldn't arrive until 4 pm due to delays with an earlier job. The delivery crew were quite good however about four furniture items were delivered with minor levels of damage, it would appear due to poor packing/handling for a road/sea/rail/road transit. Grace have instructed us to make a claim for the damaged items.

Had two shipping containers delivered to Hobart. ZERO communication - The first time arranged a time for container to be dropped off in Hobart, this was confirmed the day before delivery. No-show on day of delivery, and was left waiting at delivery location all-day with no contact. Rang them in afternoon and the "truck had broken down" - with audible sounds of a bong being smoked in the background. Second container still not delivered. Rang them several times to organise a time, was told multiple times they would ring me, and then they said it was scheduled for a certain day after I rang back. Again, no one showed up. Received call later that afternoon after waiting at delivery location and this time "the forklift was broken". Was told it would be delivered early next AM or early next week. No contact from Grace at all about new delivery time.

Poorest quality service I have ever had at both ends with Grace . Sam was so Rude I could not believe what I was hearing and then I got the same from Andrea and neither of them are worried about being reprimanded for their poor service as they made this clear to me . Communication with the customer is non existent and they have no problem in giving you a mouthful of total rudeness even when it wasn’t asked for. I made an official complaint and apparently being short staffed is a good enough reason for poor service Never will I use this company again. So it’s now day 3 and no one from grace will return my calls or let me know when my belongings are going to arrive. I have been completely ghosted. I emailed my details as they requested below but still nothing. I guess they rely on people not reading the reviews

Can't say anything about value, since I haven't seen the invoice, yet. Grace was most accommodating, since I didn't know where I was going to until the day after the removal. I couldn't make the team that collected the furniture. Efficient, courteous, friendly without being chummy. The team that delivered was just as efficient, courteous and friendly. They were very helpful; particularly, since the new residence is significantly smaller and we had to figure out how to accommodate everything. The only points of criticism would be that the gentlemen forgot to - connect the freezer and switch on the powerpoint for the washing machine. Those powerpoints are way beyond my reach. - put the shelves back into the cabinet. That however, was merely an inconvenience. I'd highly recommend Grace anytime.

The only company in Hobart that reacted to my request instantly, sent a consultant to give me a quote, and organised and re-organised the move flexibly, taking in considerations all the variables. The teams assigned to my move were ridiculously fast: make sure to have ALL you boxes packed when they arrive, and the move will be done in a couple of hours. No extra charges and hidden fees. No movers asking for a tip to do something. The guys even helped me to prune my yacca tree and gave me some furniture care and garden care advice. Lovely lads. Also, the team has provided with all the boxes and materials needed for the move, and they work with Vinnies and take your donations straight to the shop, so you don't spend time on this. Highly recommend overall, will be using Grace for my next move.

If you engage Grace removals Hobart to relocate, under no circumstances should you allow them to pack fragile items. The amount of breakage caused by rough handling, poor packing and improper lading procedures beggars belief. The crew responsible for unloading the container at the destination just shook their heads in disbelief at the way things had been packed, with no obvious care whatsoever. Household items and computer equipment smashed beyond repair due to no protective packing at all, just thrown into the back of the truck. Should you have the misfortune to deal with the singularly unhelpful Ms Ripper, you will be more likely to win first division in Lotto every week for a year than you will of getting her to return a phone call or reply to emails; it's just not going to happen.

Had two lads this morning deliver our stuff from Seddon, VIC back to our home town of Hobart. They were fantastic, really generous with their time. Would be a 5-Star review but we took off a star because the lady in the office two weekends in a row said that she would give us a call on the Friday if they were coming. We got no call, so we assumed that we didn't have them coming this morning, and we weren't really ready, the old fridge hasn't been defrosted etc. Thankfully the two young gents who came did their best to fix the office problem and moved stuff around the house that they didn't even deliver! Friendly, careful and spacially aware, great stuff lads.

SAM the receptionist is the rudest person ever . SAM wanted to send a person down to our house to do a quote, I said can I send a list as I have a baby in nicu and my husband can't afford to take time off work , SAM THEN RESPONDED LIKE ITS SOME SORT OF COMPETITION, " WELL I HAVE HAD A BABY IN THE NICU AND A KID WITH CANCER , AND SHE WORKS FULL TIME AND SHE CAN MAKE IT WORK" The most unprofessional person and we will never be using grace removals and I highly suggest anyone else that thinks about this company to not use them based on this !

Could not be happier with Grace Removals. From the initial visit by their consultant to the collection of our furniture and household effects and finally to the return of our things. They made the relocation from Hobart to the Gold Coast very easy. Fantastic staff who were extremely careful with our belongings. Absolutely no damage to a single thing was remarkable. The big thing for me also was they were there when the said they would be. On time every time! Thank you Grace Removals.

Wouldn't recommend these guys at all, once Sam left everything went to S... Then the poor delivery drivers copped it because they were the ones in the field. The people that you don't see (managers) had absolutely no idea. Mucked up our storage delivery then charged a copious amount to get the rest out. DisGRACEful. 1 star because can't give 0 stars. Never again would I use these guys, unless Sam came back.

We spent close to $30,000 with Grace for our move from Newcastle to Hobart in January this year. Broken promises, holding furniture to ransome for extra charges that to this day have never been explained, Damage to property and our belongings totaling over $15000 and Removalists that didn't like to follow instructions made our move with Grace an absolute nightmare. Steer far clear of this company.

We looked at several other removal companies and Grace was the best value so definitely worth giving them a call. On top of that the guys where we dropped our stuff off in Perth were very helpful especially given it was late on a Friday afternoon in 40 degree weather. The customer service at the Hobart depot was also great - they help me get my motorbike on my trailer and safely secured.

We had Nathan, Kon and Angus pack our furniture into a container like genius level Tetris pros. Nathan explained everything really clearly at the start and in what order it would all happen, so we were able to manage the nosey dog. They let us know in advance what time they would arrive and were punctual. Very respectful of our belongings and professional. Great job!

Moved from Melbourne to Hobart then back to Melbourne. In between we had our dogs item sent to Melbourne. Grace removals did a fabulous job. They took care of our items. Nothing broken. Everything was wrapped carefully. I can not thank them enough. From office staff to the men picking up my goods. Keep up the wonderful job. Highly recommended.

Contacted Grace for a quote estimation and after 11 days and several emails; I decided to give up. If they can't even arrange a simple estimation, I wouldn't have faith in them organising my move. I contacted three other local companies and had estimations back on email within 24 hours. Now that's called customer service.

I’m trying to get information on where my furniture is and the help is appalling and I just spoke with Shane from Canberra and he was rude, I have emailed Shane and had no response, the removal men were good it’s the office people letting the team down.When you spend $9000 for a move you expect better customer service.

Very professional service offered by the Grace team in Hobart. Correctly estimated the volume of the move and diligently and carefully loaded of furniture, boxes and other goods. A bit of a glitch with the delivery in Adelaide but in the scheme of things, not a big issue. All unpacked and settled. Thanks Grace .

DisGRACEful is what they should be called. Delivery took more than twice as long as initially told. Half of the boxes look like an elephant had sat on them. A chest of drawers has been dropped multiple times and is beyond repair, absolutely destroyed. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

From our Quote from Tasmania to the final delivery at Loxton S.A. we couldn't have faulted the service. Not one item scratched, dented or broken. The workers are amazing, true professionals! We couldn't believe our luck from beginning to end. We thank you Grace for this.

There efficiency in time was appreciated. They packed up quickly and dropped off the next day as quoted and Scott made sure to keep us updated each step of the way. Everything arrived in tact and I'd be happy to use them again. Highly recommended.

Valuable couch damaged and leg broken off at time of collection. Couch wrapped without Brocken leg and not a word said. Bed legs removed and lost. Delivery guys in Tasmania fantastic! Upset when they discovered! Grace completely disinterested!

Great customer service, nothing was too much trouble from the first phone call to the day of moving. The trucks arrived on time and the men were easy to be around while they carefully packed everything up. All the staff were wonderful.
