I love what they have done with this park. I knew Grange Park for a few decades. It was horrible, lacking any qualities that a city park should have. It was a short cut to most . It wasn't worth spending any time there. When a miracle happened. They turned this into a excellant example how size does not matter. They packed in all sorts of goodies and reworked the park to gem conditions. The biggest surprise and the best surprise is seeing the wonderful Henry Moore giant simmering smooth bronze sculptures. Loved his work when I was a kid and love it even more now. They taken these sculptures from places that were not doing them justice at all. With plenty of room to walk and sit around them. Or even better. Slap them with your hand, climb into one and have a sit. Pure beautiful timeless public art. Free for all. The rest of the park has lovely benches, spots of grass for the doggies and some nice plants that break it up. Into semi private spaces to sit and see nature ,art, and the city all playing nicely in this urban park.

We participated in the Alice in Wonderland themed Clued Up event. We participated by dressing up in character and went down to Grange Park in Toronto. We had to use the app and followed the map to various locations in the surrounding area to solve riddles. The goal was to save Alice from being beheaded by the evil queen. We had my 10 year old son who was not happy about being forced to join us. But when I gave him my phone and told him to lead us to each riddle/ clue, he got right into it. It was so much fun and I loved seeing everyone's costumes. I would do this again!!!

2022 July 4.5★ Located right beside the art gallery you'll find this nice open space along side with an art piece, water feature (possibility for kids) and decent sized play area separated by age. The play structures haven't changed, since the last visit, a wooden climbing structure with a slide and swings under a bed of wood chips. Lots of people picnic or just sit and sub bathe on nice sunny days. Limited Paid Street parking nearby. 2018 5★ Nice place. Water feature. Good playgrounds. Open area is pretty big.

A nice park in downtown Toronto near to Chinatown, and University ave. Our kids love it. We went there several times in the summer, or any season.. whenever we go downtown.
Playground
Two areas with playground in the park. They look modern, and also have a splash pad.
Restrooms
Rest room is provided but never went in.
Dog-friendliness
They have special area with fence, for dogs.
Picnic area
Some bench with picnic tables are provided. I saw some people are having a party there.

A lovely park space next to OCAD and behind the AGO! There's lots of seating, a tiny playground for kids and water area to walk at. They also moved the Large Two Forms by Henry Moore (from the AGO to this park as well). There's also a dog park for dogs to freely roam. You can also see the AGO staircase as well! There's lots of green space and pending on the time of day or weekend, it could get pretty busy. It's still pretty calming to enjoy the public noises and dogs around.

This park located at downtown. Close to AGO, Chinatown and queen street. There is a dog lease area, playground for both younger and senior kids, splash pads, washrooms and the grass ground sits in the middle for pinics. Medium sized, sometimes a bit crowded but still acceptable. Design of playground is quite creative. there are tall sliders for those brave kids. Parking spots on site is quite limited, i don't think there is free parking.

I love this place. The design of the play structure is artistic as it is fun. The backdrop of the city and OCAD feels amazing, like you're in a hidden pocket of the city. It's great for photography, even more so at night. I've seen adults on the playground itself, and it is fun getting up there and sliding down that tall slide. Definitely one of the best urban parks in the downtown core

Very great park. I went there about 3 weeks ago and really enjoyed the playground area. It was very nice. There were a lot of different play ground areas that featured climbing and lots of fun in total. There was also a small splash area. I had lots of fun there. The 2 pictures attached below, show 2 of the smaller areas of the play ground. Very great park, with lots fun.

Love, love, love chilling, decompressing and vibing in this beautiful park! One of my favorites in the downtown core. Lots of space for everyone to social distance safely and if you're lucky you may just get to catch a live jazz band. Perfect for family picnics, friend gatherings and even an off-leash dog park for your furry friends.

Great place for well, dog walking/playing, playgrounds for lil explorers, picnic style tables have replaced the old decrepit ones, good splash of shading trees, great views of historical budings and new ones of great creative Creation! All-around, it's awesome.e...ohand a community garden there too!!! I like going to chill n write.

The park was good. Equipment for kids was well maintained. A lot of kids and parents, not many "special" people so made it pleasant. Sadly all the bathrooms were locked so had to walk long to find one for the kids. Starbucks and coffee shops nearby though. Overall very good, not the best in town but within top 10 id say.

One of my favorite parks in Toronto, situated directly behind the AGO. Great landscape and view of the city. Great space for kids, picnics, tai chi, and dog park. They did a fantastic job renovating the entire park space. Kinda reminds me of Knotting Hill park scene in the end with Julia Robert's enjoying life.

  • Sabrina Craig

Beautiful park lots of shady areas to walk and sit. There’s a dog park which has the double doors for safety. The park overlooks the museum and OCAD University, Ontario college arts and Design. The water functions are only available during the summer season. This park is also nearby lots of great food options.

  • Mo ElFar

Spacious park with lots of activities for children. There is a splash area too beside the swings and slides. There is a fenced dogs area which is also nice and fun to watch... there is also an open space for relaxing and playing games for all ages. I have also seen fitness and yoga classes take there.

  • Tim Chase Photography

Nice park and never knew it existed. Took a walk around the park and area today. Nice fall colors and great place for kids to play with some very interesting play ground houses and futuristic playground equipment. Great view through the falls colors to the CN Tower. Very quiet and peaceful area.

  • hamed Mdm

It is sad to see people leave their garbage on the streets and parks and recently lots of liquor bottles! We go to get fresh air but everywhere smells weed. People immigrate to have a better and safer life, but they are making Toronto dirty and unsafe by not following the rules it’s just sad

  • Bill Talbot

It’s the best for tourist and local alike. If your at the AGO go visit the “backyard” too. Who can knock a park that features a large Henry Moore amongst its various other amenities. Good off leash dog park too. But like the rest of the city washrooms and drinking fountains seldom available.

  • Olha Makeieva

Nice place with huge unusual playground. Lash free dog park. Some restaurants near here. However, this place homeless like too can’t avoid to look at their open air shelter just near kids playground. If you downtown view addicted and CN Tower fan you will fall in love with this place.

  • William Khalil

2020.09.23. The park is an OK area to spend a walking break. They have a play area for kids, dogs, and an area for relaxing (sit on grass or benches). Starbucks is 5min away from the park. It is between Queen St and Dundas St. The park is located behind AGO, Art Gallery of Ontario.

  • Rumela Mukherjee

It’s like little nook in the bustling downtown. Has a small dog park too if you wanna let lose your four legged friend. The ambience is very nice as usually there are couples, families and college kids soaking in the sun, playing games and the kids are at the small park.

  • Cindy F

Nice for walks BUT be aware of the squirrel because if they hear any food bags or drinks. They will get really close to you and if you’re not fully watching them and be precautious of them; they will jump on you just to grab whatever you’re munching on.

  • Steven Shih

Awesome awards winning wood chips based playground designed by Earthscape next to AGO. Lots to climb for various ages and huge green space with shades and picnic tables. Public washroom is temporarily closed due to COVID. Must visit site. Built in 2017.

  • Asia Lee

Beautiful park between AGO and OCAD. Brand new playground and little water area for the kids to run around and play. It’s a great place to exercise and there’s a large grass area for picnic. Near to Queen St. to many restaurants and attractions.

  • Saeed Moayyedi

Grange Park, a hidden gem near the iconic AGO and OCAD University in Toronto, offers a vibrant atmosphere that captivated my senses. The park's lush greenery, peaceful ambiance, and beautifully curated art installations make it a must-visit

A great park for children. Younger children (5 and under) should definitely be supported by an adult through some of the bigger / more challenging features. Perfect for sunny days. Probably the biggest playground we have in our neighborhood.

  • Sameer

Used to be the hangout spot way back before having kids. Was the spot to meet up with friends. Close to restaurants and shopping, good place to chill out or take a break. Now I take my kids to enjoy the updated playground with a splash pad.

  • Marlin J McGee

Spent most of my first nite outside here.. scared, homeless, hungry, no where to.go or nowhere to turn. It was hard to hold back tears as to where to go next.. it's nice to know a park like this exists that you can sit for a bit and take a

  • Fondak Jacurutu

Nice downtown park, that is actually a park, not a bench on some concrete next to a dead tree. This park is actually fairly large, has many old trees and features a painted labyrinth, off leash dog area and lots of benches to sit and relax.

  • Alejandro Aspinwall

This is a nice park to bring you kids ... But you will be sharing it with lots of teens in the afternoons so come early. Not an issue most times but can be a bit distracting. The washrooms are a very nice touch and much appreciated.

  • The Wallman

One of the coolest playgrounds in Toronto. The structures are so unique and have such wide utility for a huge age range. Worth the drive downtown, and only a few blocks in any direction from some of the best food in the city!

  • Nate Steiner

Great park with unique play structures just under the shadow of the OCAD building. And nice views of some skyline including CN tower. Had a great stop by here after dinner at one of the nearby restaurants! Would recommend!

This is a great little park downtown! There is an awesome playground and splash pad for the kids, there is an enclosed off leash area for dogs, there is also a nice green space for a bit of sports or a little picnick.

  • Kathryn Brisbin

I really like the park, the only challenge is some of the people that frequent this space. It's open to all but that can create some challenges. Lovely green space in the busy city of Toronto. Love this city!

  • Kunal Asarsa

Kids section. Dog park. Water fountain. Benches for picnic. Mellow lighting in evenings. And location that's very central and accessible. Oh and there's a couple washrooms too! This park has got it all !!

  • flames123 aplenty

The park is a visually stimulating work of art. Not surprising as it is basically the shared backyard of both the A.G.O. and the Ontario College of Art & Design. It's beautiful all year round.
