8/14/21 visit this was our go to Chinese take out but on Saturday I was waiting for my order to be bagged as the young kid took my payment I noticed their son walk to the kitchen part of the restaurant and pulled out a piece of chicken used in the sweet n sour chicken from the pan he was laughing at the fact of how small it was he then walked to the front to show his sister and returned to the kitchen where he placed the same chicken back in the pan with his bare hands. I was standing in disbelief as I just knew my order was not being made from that pan well the dad then takes pan and pours it into the clear togo container as if nothing just happened. I asked for a refund because clearly I was not going to eat that food. The mother comes to the front to convince me that I didn’t see what clearly was done in front of me and I just kept asking for a refund she got onto the son but really the damage was done it was a back and forth before they agreed to refund the order. Never again….

I got take from this restaurant and ordered a large pork fried rice and also boneless spare ribs. The boneless spare ribs were good, no complaints. My issue was with the pork fried rice, it didn't contain any egg which was disappointing but not the main problem. The rice itself was undercooked to where it still was somewhat crunchy, the vegetables which were peas and carrots looked as though they bought them dehydrated and then just threw them on top without even cooking them, they were very crunchy and difficult to eat. There wasn't much pork in the friend rice, to the point I thought they had gotten my order wrong and gave me vegetable fried rice. After digging around with my spoon I found a few pieces, but that's it. I ended up throwing away the rest of it after taking a few bites. Aside from that I gave it 3 stars because the staff was friendly, the food was quick, and the boneless spare ribs weren't bad.

There was a hair in my nephews food. I took the food back and asked for it to be remade because he really wanted Chinese food and they where the only ones open. I asked if they could remake my food as well because I was pretty grossed out and didn't want to take any chances. I felt that was a reasonable request seeing as I didn't ask for a refund nor was I rude or impolite. I strongly believe that they just threw my food back in the wok added more sauce to it and put the egg roll back in the grease to make it hot again. The egg roll was soaked in grease, my food was so steamed by Broccoli no longer was crisp it was so soggy and my white rice wasn't the same as it should've been. I know for a fact the hair wasn't mine wrong texture and I wore a hair net still from my own job. I SHOULD'VE JUST DEMANDED A REFUND AND WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This location is the worst experience that I have ever head with a restaurant. Traveling from out of town I came upon a menu from this establishment and decided to give them a chance. Placed my order with a gentleman who really did not understand what I was saying to be fair. He did transfer me to a female that seem to have understood and also reiterated my order to me. Delivery time was excellent although upon inspection of my order I discovered that it was incorrect. When I called back they told me that they did not have what I asked for I asked them what would they do they said there’s nothing they do not offer what was confirmed as my order along with the extra charge. Do not order from this establishment on an item that you have never ordered from before. I never tasted the food from this restaurant as I did get a refund.

I ordered the fried chicken wings (keep in mind that the restaurant is 12 minutes from my place). I have a disability so delivery suits me best for now. The wings were fresh and golden the other day so I ordered more again today and I was completely disappointed. I called the restaurant and informed them that my chicken was dark brown, unpleasant and over cooked but they were too busy to accommodate me. They called me the next day and informed me that they would have a delivery driver bring me fresh wings and I appreciate that because most restaurants don't care to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. This gesture makes me want to continue business with them. We all make mistakes in life but owning your mistakes speaks volumes. Thank you all, I am very pleased.

Really great food. We first tried this place in December, on a "Let's give it a try" basis. I was really impressed! Everything was cooked from scratch. The orange chicken (my daughter's favorite!) had fresh bits of orange zest in it, and tasted *like orange*, not like jam. Their House Special noodles are amazing. The food was so much better than I was expecting. They're now our favorite place to get Chinese. (Bonus points for being close by!) On the down side, when my SIL was here, we placed and order and her General Tso's Chicken appeared to be orange chicken. (We didn't realize it until the driver had left, and I was too lazy that day to run over and ask to get it fixed.) On the up side, literally everything else we have had from there has been great!

The best Chinese food that I have had in Jacksonville. Vegies were cooked perfectly retaining their snap. Seasonings were perfect, delivery was shorter than expected and they deserve kudos for being a restaurant that delivers since so few do anymore. I even got my wife to like duck which she never has. She thought she was eating pork - awesome - which is the perfect word to describe this restaurants food. I had honey chicken, house mein fun ( so good), four seasons, house special duck and the sweet and sour pork which I can honestly say has the best sweet and sour sauce I have had in my whole life. I'm only in my mid thirties but that's still saying something. Five star Chinese food delivered to my door? Yeah the word is Awsome.

They must have a new cook because my shrimp & broccoli is disgusting. The brown sauce isn't even dark brown like it usually is. Nor does it have that mildly sweet teriyaki soy sauce flavor that I love so much. I've been patronizing this place for a few years but today was a major let down. I've recently moved across town but still took the long drive to this place today because they're usually top tier. $35 for an experience that I did not enjoy today. The other food I ordered was ok but the dinner experience with my family was ruined because of the shrimp & broccoli. Please go back to the original shrimp broccoli recipe and leave it alone.

This was my first and last time ordering from this place. We are new to this area, and decided to try them because they are literally 2 mins down the road from us. Spent $40 here and the food was not worth it. I specifically asked for veggie fried rice (which I was charged extra for!) And clearly there were pork bits in it! It was also very hard and undercooked! The PuPu platter was disgusting! I asked for extra sweet n sour sauce (which I was also charged for & did not get!) We also ordered General Tao's and sesame chicken. The flavor is just not there compared to other places I've tried! Overall I am very dissatisfied and will not be returning. I will gladly drive the extra distance to Hot Wok on University!

I really can't tell you about the food because honestly I paid for it and then threw it away 1st of all I'm not sure what the child labor laws are but they have far underage children working the registers and taking orders I witnessed one of the children that had just took my credit card order digging in his nose with at least 3 different fingers and then wiping it on himself before taking someone else's order while using the cash register it it was very disgusting and it just speaks to the effect of what they're actually doing in that restaurant the bad part is I have eaten here many times that's OK this will be my last

I found this place after my two previous places were bought out and the quality went down. Great Wall has been consistantly good over the years. My only beef is they used to give away free sodas with the size depending on how much you bought. They don't do that at any longer. :-( I do enjoy using my JU discount if I pick the food up, which I like to do on my home at night from class. Over all very good food, very nice people and also clean inside!!! ----EDIT, we have since stop ordering from this place. The service has gone down and the food quality has also. We have moved over to King Wok on Merrill Roadand LOVE the place!!!

I really enjoy the food there although they have gotten a little bit expensive but the quality of the food is awesome. I am a soup type of guy So most of my orders always soups all the way I have tried other dishes there

***Updated review: Unfortunately, the very next time we ordered we found a winged bug of some sort as well as a few bug legs/wings in our egg drop soup. Very disappointed and a little worried about the sanitary conditions. We received our money back for the soup, but will not be returning to this place again. Unfortunate because the food the first time was very good! AMAZING! We have tried other places in the area and they've all been okay, but this place beats the rest by a mile! I ordered the Mongolian Beef last night with a small side of Shrimp Fried Rice and this had to be the worse things I've ever tasted. The pieces of beef were coated in some gooey gritty substance that made my stomach churn. The vegetables were well prepared but lacked seasoning. The shrimp friend rice is so dry and lacks flavor. I use to love eating here and travel from Jax Beach to eat here but lately I have been more and more disappointed. Would not recommend the Mongolian Beef to anyone ever. I ate a few bites and just threw away the remaining.

Isn't yellow rice a Spanish dish? I'm not sure when Chinese people started to think it was ok to pass off yellow rice as Fried rice. I'm also not sure when American's decided to think it was ok and decided not to insist on Authentic fried rice. Any Chinese restaurant that does this should be ashamed of themselves. This is not the only restaurant around Jacksonville doing this. I have only had 1 good meal at this restaurant. It is becoming a bad trend. If you have taste buds and want real Chinese food don't bother with this place.

Since moving down south from New York, I have been looking for Chinese food like we have back home. Each time, I was disappointed. Today I found Great Wall Chinese Restaurant, and it was like being back in NY. They even provided soy sauce and the fried noodles, unheard of in the south. Food was amazing! First time that I have had egg rolls since I moved. I will be back. I look forward to trying everything on the menu.

Order somewhere else. They told me my order would be ready in ten. I waited Extra time, so I wouldn't have to stand around. They never even started cooking my food. Even after they called me direct to verify my order... So I waited over an hour, for my food. Literally everywhere is faster... and the quality isn't worth the wait. Edit: wow, it's been so long, I forgot it was this place and I'm having the same problem again. Wish google would let me hide a business I don't want to use anymore.

Entered my delivery address and everything went through perfectly fine… A couple minutes later I got a phone call from the restaurant stating that I need to pick up the food even though the website told me that they could deliver to my house… And they call me and state “they do not do delivery”. I've ordered from Great Wall for years. I find their food is delivered HOT every time. I also appreciate them having Pineapple Chicken & Lemon Chicken on the menu. It's hard to find those menu items here in Jacksonville. They are courteous and friendly. As a matter of fact, I'm getting ready to place a delivery order right now. House fried rice w/extra bean sprouts, no ham & extra shrimp, 2 shrimp egg rolls and an order of fried crab wontons w/sweet n sour sauce.

Beware!!! Do not use their online app to order. It gives you a price then someone from the restaurant calls to say its 7-10 bucks higher. This happened to me twice. First time I paid darn near 40 bucks for something I normally pay 25 - 30 bucks for. 2nd time I questioned them and was told the app doesn't adequately add on for extra, when I said I wanted to cancel my order I was told a much cheaper price!!!! Last time giving them my money food is good tho

Delievery guy tried to steal $10 from me. I had $30 in tens and he grabbed it out my hand and put it in his pocket I told him I had a extra ten in it and he told me I didn’t. When I asked him to empty his pocket he kept pushing the ten down in his pocket. I told him I see my ten so he finially pulled all the money out and there goes my extra $10. Love the food but need trust worthy drivers I always tip but I will not tip a stealer.

The food was great! My son said it was the first Chinese food he’d had in Jax that was not mediocre. I did take one star off because I had to ask that bean sprouts be added to the fried rice, and the fried rice was more yellow than brown. They also don’t give you fortune cookies with your food, but I’m sure that’s due to the economy. Otherwise, I think we’ve found our Chinese takeout place!

We waited over an hour for our food, just to call them and be lied to about our address not being on the GPS! But they charged iur card ironically..They have delivered to our home numerous times..Then they lied again stating our food was on the way. We cancelled our order and had to go out late night to get dinner...smh..never again order from them. No apology or nothin...

I never make negative reviews cause I'm a woman of God but not today smh. Stole money from my card and my sister's card within 48 hrs. Food was always cold and stingy. They were rude and disrespectful. No advertisements but any other place would be better for than this one. They are lucky I did not sue them and shut them down for their repetitive crime.

I am so glad that the closest Chinese food restaurant near me is also a good one. They moved from one end of the plaza to the next (old location was where the Planet Fitness is now) but their food is just as good as before. It's a typical Chinese restaurant, nothing fancy, but the food always tastes the same, which is a good thing since they taste good.

They get a five star because they deliver within an hour and the food portions are huge! Fair warning I've been going through them for years. Delivery takes at least 40 mins. If you're in a rush order early. Food is off the chain and I know because I'm chubby. All the other haters reviewing can order some chain restaurant trash. Fat boy out....

Just visiting in town and decided to order some food for myself and my sister. Ordered chicken and shrimp lo mein and it was great! Portion size was perfect and more than enough for two people and the food was delicious. Service was wonderful too and appreciate the care taken with the order.

I have been ordering from Great Wall for about 5 years. This place consistently puts out a quality Chinese food dish. Using both delivery and take out they seem to get your food cooked in about 5 min and it is always hot. Last time I ordered I got the bourbon chicken and I'm not sure how they make money since there was so much chicken.

Love this place! It is only 2 minutes away from my house. So that makes it even better. The food is always fresh. It is also never dry and priced amazingly well. I love their boneless spare ribs. I will be ordering from them again. Their egg rolls are also greAt. I love it, especially with the spicy sauce!!!!!!!! It’s great!!!!!!!!!

4 of us ordered feom work and was all charged $1.50 for delivery charge without being tolg.(on the menu it states minimum $10 for delivery) The guy was rude and stated he was sick and running fever, he should not be delivering food or touching other peoples food if he is infact running fever. This is a excellent Chinese restaurant. The dishes are scrumptious and fresh. Ct The chicken broccoli I ordered is extremely savory. And the Singapore mei fun I ordered has a rich curry flavor to it. Also the general tso chicken is delicious. And the shrimp lo mein is extremely flavorful. Definitely will come back again.

I went in to get a large fried rice and chicken wings and i paid 14.48 they gave me a small i called and told them she argued with me .i know the sizes I've been going there for yrs.i told her i would bring the carton back but she still argued with me claiming she gave me the right size.never going back

Why can't Arlington have a great asian delivery. Got here fast but rice was hard, no flavor in oily sauce. Meat and veggies not fresh or cooked well.

The pork fried rice was tasteless,the pork was way to subtle. The fried fish was disappointing. No soy sauce or any other chinese sauce to the dish.

They are friendly, fast and efficient. The food is fresh and tastes fantastic everytime. No dried out rice or meats. It's the best in Arlington.
