Avoid Greencross Vets in Narre Warren if you could. In my experience, most of the nursing staff were friendly and considerate but my dog and I had the misfortune of being assigned to a Vet (Stephanie Umina) who was absolutely ruthless in her up-selling efforts. She wasn't very knowledgeable as a vet, but she did know what buttons to push a worried pet owner. She prescribed a strong dose of antibiotics for a dog whose blood tests results were clear and then charged $89.70 for the medication that was about $33.00 elsewhere. She tried very hard to sell me on x-rays for a dog with known cardiac valve problems, despite knowing that the dog was scheduled for an ultrasound the next day. I could go on and on about her cold and unethical efforts to over-charge and up-sell. If this is the sort of practice that Greencross wants to encourage, then I for one will go to a local vet instead!

Our greyhound had a severe foot condition which caused her to cry out in pain and lose a lot of blood. Greencross said they were booked for a week and they couldn’t fit her in. This practice represents what has happened with the corporatisation of many vets. Money has overtaken the welfare of animals. They were prepared to let her suffer for a week before treating the problem despite her pain and an enormous loss of blood. As it was we found another local practice which was also booked out but the receptionist said they couldn’t let her suffer and would find a way to get her in. An hour later they took her in and within a few minutes she was sedated,put on a drip and underwent an operation. The attitude of Greencross left my wife and l highly distressed. We will never walk through their doors again. We would have given zero stars if that was possible.

I couldn't recommend Greencross Vets Narre Warren enough for the exceptional level of care my dog received! I had my 11-year-old labrador have a sudden stomach flip and needed urgent surgery, I called them as soon as I noticed he was off, and the lovely girl I spoke to told me to come down straight away. When I arrived, the beautiful Dr Steph examined Dash and rushed him off to surgery with Dr Jayde. After a traumatic week, Dash is now back to 100% health, and I honestly couldn't be happier neither could he! All the lovely staff and the AMAZING vets at Greencross Narre Warren, I want to say from the bottom of my heart a massive thank you for all you did for Dash, he wouldn't be here without all of you. You guys are the best, forever grateful!!!!

It is a real shame that a veterinary clinic that prides itself on animal care and hygiene would be so careless in the upkeep of their machines. Two of the dog washes were out of both shampoo and conditioner. How did I find this out? By washing my dogs in ice cold water provided by the machine. Once I asked Staff about the lack of products, they provided me with shampoo packets to apply. Although they did attempt to rectify their lack of maintenance, my cold dogs were already half way through their wash cycle. No signs, no maintenance and ice cold water. If you live in the area, best to drive further to an outdoor dog wash facility. At least there the machines will be stocked with product and have warm water.

We sadly had to put our dear 16 year old dog to "sleep" on Tuesday. My wife Jennifer and daughter Casey and myself were present for this deeply sad time. Whilst its still very raw ( I have tears in my eyes as I type this) I felt it was important to highlight how caring and compassionate the team were at Greencross Fountain Gate. They explained the whole process and we were permitted as much time as we needed to grieve. When the final process came of administering the injection that would give our Milly peace the nurse / vet again outlined what was going to happen. Milly passed away quietly and peacefully in our arms. Thank you everyone for your caring nature during this sad time for our family.

I have been bringing my puppy here for nearly a year. They have been fantastic every time! Just this week I tried a different vet due to availability and they were terrible, he was SO anxious, it took 15 mins to get him in the door and then they misdiagnosed him. After going on a cancellation list for Thursday and not being able to get in, Greencross unexpectedly phoned me on Friday to say they can see me today (Saturday)! I hadn’t even asked to be on a future cancellation list! Jade was and is just amazing every time and my puppy loves her to pieces. They are so polite and reassuring and have all the time in the world for worried pet parents. Would highly recommend!!!

Vet almost dropped puppy off the examination table, also thumbled when giving my puppy a routine vaccination causing my puppy to be distressed. Vet was unable to provide answers to basic questions about puppy feeding an ideal weight but was diagnosed as being underweight. After seeking a second vet opinion I was told he was perfectly normal weight for a puppy his age. I also received an email informing me my puppy was overdue for worming and vaccinations despite his vaccination and worming being done only two weeks prior through GreenCross vet Narre Warren. Wouldn't recommend this vet. I'm now travelling 20min further to another vet.

I'd never been here before and was hesitant to try another vet, but from walking into Greencross Vets at Narre Warren it was so different even the receptionists were lovely and friendly, they were also super helpful and when you're taking your much loved pet to a new vet that can make all the difference. The vet was so kind and friendly with him aswell. The whole experience was just great and although my cat doesn't like the vet.. I mean who's pet really does? haha we will definately go back there again :) Thankyou for making it all so easy, quick and friendly and being so amazing with my cat :)

I was in the process of changing vets and thought i would give this one a try, i was impressed by their diligence and car for my four cats, to be vaccinated and checked over. This was the first time for three of them to go to a vet since adopting them, they were calm, kind and patient with them. I was unable to catch them on the first go and they still made time for me, the place is deceptively big inside and appreciated the care that they showed to myself as well as I was in a mess still recovering from catching them.

Greencross vets is a kind and friendly team. I called in early in the morning to ask if I could walk-in, because my cat was unwell. Although they were fully booked out on that day, they also did suggest that maybe I can try a different vet clinic. After I explained my cat’s condition, they arranged for me go in at 9.20am. And the doctor was also friendly and caring. I loved their service and their understanding towards pet owners. My cat is recovering good, started eating in the afternoon on that day. Thank you guys!

Can’t be worse. The staff there told me they should take a general examination before the vaccination to make sure my cat is healthy. However, the only thing the vet do is measuring my cat’s weight... not even check her eyes, ears, teeth or nails! And the examination costs around $100! $100 for measuring the weight, which is ridiculous. I came there because it was close, but I will never go there again. I would rather drive 40km away and go to another vets.

My mums dog got hit by a car so we immediately took her to Greencross Vet where they refused to even look at her, instead they sent us to an emergency clinic. Before leaving, I double checked it they knew if the emergency clinic was open and the two staff members said yes definitely. It wasn't open for an hour an a half. Never have I heard of a vet clinic refusing to even look at an animal who's been hit by a car - speaks volumes about this business!!

The staff are really lovely and friendly. There are only 3 vets so you have the chance to build relationships with them over time. The two vets we have dealt with are great and very good at problem solving. We thought we would have to have our beautiful dog put to sleep given our circumstances but they were able to come up with a solution. Reasonably priced surgery too. Highly recommended. Situated in Pet Barn this is a one stop shop for pet care

I had to have my beloved dog put to sleep agter 13 years of love today. The ladies at this vet are amazing! I'd never been through this process before and they made such a traumatic process just that little bit easier. They also organised my girls cremation and the price was really reasonable. I left there knowing my beautiful girl would be treated with kindness and dignity even though she was gone from this world! Thank you so much

My dog Wallace has been in severe pain with arthritis. We went to the vet and they prescribed a drug that would greatly help him and they said they would call me when as soon as it came in. 4 weeks later they hadnt called so I rang - They had it for some time and forgot to call me. The receptionist was very alloosive. In the mean time Wallace has been suffering. So much for caring about animals!

My 5mth old boy jumped out of the trolley at bunnings. Gave himself a decent bout of Soft Tissur Damage. I took him straight to them, they moved things around during their day because they had 2 hrs till close but he needed xrays and anesthetic ASAP. I was signed up to buy pet food and advised 10th bag free. Paying a little more per bag each time than anywhere else but in the long run about the same with a free 10th bag. Only to be told after nearly 2 years and getting to the 10th bag that the bags must be in the same year.. feel mislead and will never return.. supporting local only to get taken advantage of. Not cool!!!!!

Highly recommend, they were fully booked when I called however due to the condition of my fur baby they managed to see her that day within an hour, unfortunately my fur baby Lulu needed surgery but the staff were amazing throughout the whole process, you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Thank you again for everything you’ve done for Lulu. We really appreciate it.

A mate just called me really distressed that after calling the clinic to come and put down his dog, they refused to come out even after hours though he was willing to pay. It would not have been in the animals best welfare to be picked up and taken to the Vet. Distance Vet would have needed to have travelled was less than 1km. No empathy was apparently shown by the centre.

Very amazing service and so kind and caring! Been taking our dogs here for around 3 years now and they never disappoint us. Our older dog isn't great with the Vet but they are very kind and caring towards her. They always treat us with respect and genuinely care about animals. Will never go anywhere else. Best Vet in the south east!

I was actually in Petbarn which are in the same building which is so convenient taking my Belgian shepherd for bath in their facility. Its so good and clean and so reasonably priced which includes shampoo, rinse,flea protection and blow dry, and doggy cologne. Wow! He's all spruced up. Fantastic! Just make sure you book! Cheers!

Don't go here, not only did they ignore me for over 20mins, whilst having chats on personal travel plans with previous appt and ,the nurses were absent or drinking at the desk, no apology for being late either, vet did not introduce herself either and my animals were not happy (very stressed). Worst experience!!! ever.

Our Dog Milly was very unwell we rushed her up there was told we would have to wait 1 hour or so 3 min later Sarah Monaghan saw us and came over took one look at Milly and took us straight in and took fantastic care of our dog Milly she is the best vet going around thanks Sarah from the Reid family and Milly

Well run veterinary practice starting with friendly, capable receptionists at the front desk to the veterinarians who tended our elderly golden retriever with such care, and also our feisty 15 year old long haired cat with apprehension! It was much appreciated, certainly by us, and also Zoe and Bella.

My fur babies have been seeing these guys for years. The staff have become a ‘sub’ family to ours. Our babies like seeing seeing them and in our tough times, they have been empathathic, caring and genuine. New vet Sunny is just lovely, the nursing staff are divine, and we recommend them highly.

First time going here and I had to make the decision whether or not to put my pet to sleep...they didn't rush me and gave me plenty of time to decide and even went beyond to find the medications it would need to try help it. They where nothing but nice and professional. Highly recommend.

Although new to this clinic, it's been great. Staff are super supportive and accommodating to your pets needs. It's handy being connected to Petbarn, which also has its own DIY wash. I'm able to walk my two dogs around pet barn, easing their restlessness before seeing the vet.

Jade is absolutley lovely. She gives really good advise on training and explaining everything in detail. First visit tina was terrified and second time she was absolutley glad to see Jade. Tina didn't even feel or even notice that she was

Our 11 year old GSP had to have her tail docked as it had an infection and the care given was amazing. Quote for the operation had no hidden 'add ons'. Highly recommend Vet Jayde and her team! We now have one happy fur baby again!
