I booked at Greenwich inn for 3 nights via agoda using 2 seperate bookings at different times. One booking was for 2 nights and the other booking for 1 night. I specifically emailed and rang the hotel to ensure both bookings are combined and that I stay in the same room for the 3 nights. After the 2nd night, my belongings (eg suitcase, toiletries, shoes etc) were moved from one room to another for the 3rd night without my permission/knowledge. I was also NOT advised by reception that I would be staying in 2 rooms when I checked in. When I spoke to reception about this, I was advised that someone had specifically requested that room last minute and I had been moved to a different room. Reception also told me how this guest had paid a higher price than me for this room. The new room that I went to looks nothing like the photos, it was smaller, dirtier carpets and uncomfortable bed. I would not have left this review if not for the worse part being that my belongings were touched and moved without me giving permission for this to occur. Reception tried to call which I could not answer as I was at a course but this in no way automatically allowed them to move my stuff to a worse room to accomodate another guest. The other guest should have gone to the room that I was moved to but as it so turned out apparently this other guest didn't end up coming. I found this out because I went to get my phone charger which the cleaner hadn't moved across and I also couldn't locate my items that I put in the fridge. When I complained to the owner/reception about this, he offered me stay an additional night at no cost for that night. I mentioned this is not suitable as I was leaving but I could stay a different night instead for no fee or a nominal fee (provided it was not the worse room where i was moved) but he instead started to bargain over how much I should pay (Eg: he mentioned he can discount $50 to bring to $90 but I mentioned that as I paid $120 so the discounted price would be $70). Why offer a free night anyways when you decide to later bargain the price for a different night? I told him to email me by the end of the day about what the best he can offer but this was not received. Overall if you value your privacy and belongings then stay away !

I can't say enough good things about this place it was a joy staying here the staff are absolute gems and extremely friendly the rooms are almost completely sound prof other than the occasional horn or soaking door from the room next door but even then it's still quiet. The cafe next door is a gorgeous little retreat from the city life and free breakfast of toast cereal and coffs or tea it's a calming way to wake and get ready for the day the main seller and best part of the hotel for those who need is the distance to the hospital from the driveway you can see the RNSH and a short walk your right at it a front door. The train station is a fair walk but from there you can go anywhere in the city or if you want a taxi the amazing staff will call one and have it pull into the driveway so you can have all the room to get into the taxi you need. The only bad thing I can think of if I had to put something is the shared kitchen it a very small and basic the floor could do with a touch up and a new stove but in saying that there is the cafe next door and uber eats is supported In the area so if you don't want to cook there is always a way to get a meal.

It is what you pay for - cheap and cheerful. The staff are lovely, helpful. My room was cleaned well every day. The sheets were fresh and clean. They could implement a green towel policy, I didn't need everything fresh every day but there is no option. And as usual, the corners of the shower could use a bloody good scrub (1/2 star loss). Breakfast was basic cereals and toast - bonus was fruit toast and boiled eggs, nice extras. Another 1/2 star loss for fridge items sitting out for 3 hrs each day, and using hands to take slices of bread from their packet... Also noticed frozen bread used. I had room 21 on second floor at the back after a free upgrade (thank you) . With window closed, air con on and ear plugs I slept like a baby. Light sleepers who dislike these conditions will struggle. The location is excellently placed to public transport, station 15 mins walk, express buse stops in either direction a 2min walk away. Chatswood was 15min bus ride, you need not go into the city for anything. I would stay again for convenience and good price.

According to my record, by the reservation made by one student of my host lab, I stayed two nights here (3rd – 5th APR, 1998) in a single room and payed $516.55 including international phone calls ($198, 3rd APR and $318.55, 5th APR). For my memory, the facility was old and the room was not so comfortable, but considering the location (facing Pacific HWY and about 500 m walk to the St. Leonard Station (14 min to Winyard), it was acceptable. It was named “Inn”, but actually was a motel without enough parking lots. The room itself was small and quite similar to so called “Business Hotels” in Japan. It is not recommendable for sightseeing tourists, but for a business person who needed to select hotels by the cost and location, it might be understandable choice.

Small musty room, legs hung over edge of King sized bed, air-conditioner louvres loose causing a sleepless night(had to get up twice and move louvres up, but they kept on falling down and eventually I switched the air-conditioner off) Bathroom tiny, just able to fit into shower cabinet, I am 6'4" tall and the shower head could not be adjusted and was chest high. No cutlery in room, very badly designed parking, barely managed to fit my car into available space even though Manager guided me. Hot breakfast advertised was non existent, just a toaster and bread with jams and butter. Receptionist advised she would make a hot breakfast but never turned up at the Cafe next door where breakfast was served. I understand it's a budget hotel but not worth the cost, as Urban Hotel next door had better rooms for approximately $30 more than the $120 I paid. Dangerous exit from hotel which was straight onto busy main road.

Don't bother! It's a dump! Dirty stained carpet, VERY noisy air conditioner which didn't work very well. Had to leave on as too hot in the room. Noise from highway was a nightmare! You'll need ear plugs to sleep. Bathroom very tiny with small sink. Can't fill the kettle under sink tap. Nowhere to put toiletries. Basic inclusions. Tea bags & instant coffee no biscuits. No microwave. Noisy fridge. Broken tv leg held up by a bit of rolled up toilet paper! No tissues. No internet for TV. Couldn't connect & no instructions. Linen dirty. Towels were nice. Only good thing I could think of. Overall pretty awful. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!

The room was uncomfortable and the bathroom had a terrible smell. You could very clearly hear anyone in the hall or if another room was being cleaned however, you could not hear the road noise at all. We were also told to park at the hotel next door as there simply wasn't any room to park and looked too cramped even we could. We had to order water from a delivery service as there were no bottles in the room. We were expecting the room to not be great due to the low price point but could never have imagined the wonderful service the staff gave us. They answered any and all questions, printed out our tickets for the events we had going on and gave us very friendly but professional service. The staff alone deserve a 5 star rating.

  • BsCottre

Okay, it was 12:30am when I was awoken by my snoring counterpart. I was just laying back down to try and get back to sleep. I was just dosing off when I felt a definite nudge at the end of my bed. This wasn't my first ghostly encounter. I was watching some TV when the bathroom down open, slowly. It creeped me out, so I downloaded a paranormal activity meter app on my iPhone. I turn it on and faced it to the bathroom, it went off the scale so I decided to face it to the foot of the bed and same results. Beside the ghost it was a good place and however breakfast wasn't much more than cereal and toast. 1 star just because the breakfast was bad!

  • Wendy Nadin

The female receptionist was very nice and helpful, unfortunately after that it went downhill ,the room was small, the bathroom wasnt very clean especially in the shower area ther ewas even a cockroach running around in the bathroom and they didn't have any access for people with a disability. i had difficulty with the key to open the door ,i reported it , but they didnt do anything about it, then the tv didnt work, we had to tune it in ,and we werent told that if we dont check pout before 12midday we would be charged an extra night. They also need the money up front.

  • Jenny Peat

Room was very cold with an icy blowing under front door. Aircon didn't work and small 20cm fan heater hardly made a difference and was really noisy. Bed had only a thin synthetic blanket - we froze. Room not serviced for 3 days so wet towels and dirty cups remained. Toaster provided but no plates or knives and no soap, shampoo etc. They advertise that parking is provided but there are only 9 spaces for 36 rooms. Very poor accommodation and very bad value. They declined us a refund.

I don't understand the low ratings and bad reviews here. First and foremost, you get what you pay for in Sydney. For 90$-110$ you are getting a half decent room, free basic breakfast and free parking. One of the Major issues I've had with hotels in Sydney in parking. Most hotels in CBD charge 30+$ for parking/day. Therefore, I got what I expected when I paid for our room. The staff might look not as well dressed as fancy hotels, but they are nice. The receptionist was kind enough to let us park 3 hours extra for free as we had an appointment nearby.

  • Leah Yous

Our family stayed there for 4 nights. The receiptionist is really friendly and very helpful. We mostly reply on his direction more than google map. He helps us a lot about attractions, directions, shopping place and transport. Good price and very clean. The room has everything and many amenities which u need for your stay. The property is surrounded by shopping centre, public transport, and closed to the city of Sydney. Definitely staying there if coming to Sydney. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Sydney. It will worth of ur money.

  • kevin joseph

Disappointed..... U guys shouldn't advertise that there is car parking when in reality it's nothing but a total cramped up space..It's just a motorcycle parking n not a car parking. F#$k I would have to get ma car fixed now due to some scratches it has received in just one day. Moving on to the room it's kinda ok, however the aircon n the fridge doesn't function properly. The towels seems as if they were hanging in a wool factory, so many flints on them... Wouldn't not recommend this place to anyone.

  • Sharon Palmer

Clean, well located for buses. No hairdryer. Needed a proper handle on bathroom door. It was a latch lock at top of door that was diffito use. Short person wouldn't be able to reach. Then there was a lock on the outside so someone could lock you in. No rod in wardrobe to hang clothes. As no staff in cafe breakfast area messy with dirt dishes.

Location is a nightmare, it is just on the signal and extremely dangerous to enter the property from the main street. The council should do something about it. Besides, filthy carpets, leaking fridge on the carpet. The staff was kind of accommodating. The air-conditioning was noisy and not sure if it even worked. The breakfast was ok but nothing that they claim to be part of package. The shower was good. Overall close to Sydney cbd

Worst room Ive ever stayed in. 4 tiny walls, no window, like a gaol cell. Natural light provided via sky light, though youd better be early riser as sun beams in at dawn into your eyes. I had a shower, to find no towel in sight. The AC unit turns on but doesnt work, which they know about Im sure as they left a small desk fan there. Dont stay at this dump.

The room is clean, water hot, it has the advantage of being on good transport. However, I was frozen. It is mid winter in Sydney. There was one blanket on the bed, summer sheets and no extra blankets at all. When I asked the receptionist about it she said, "oh they are sometimes moved around," then added "you could have used the heater." (I regard this as dismissive of a genuine problem)> NO instructions for the heater was discerned. I would not return.

AN ABSOLUTE HOVELL *Stains on the linen *Revolting shower *Broken furniture *Couldn't fit the kettle under the basin *Rubbish slop and tea bag drip marks on the wall above bin *Dusty, dirty and smelly I stayed for 5 days and the tea/coffee cups were never changed but the absolute worst part was the wall in front of the toilet, which had foecal smears all over it.

Accommodation was OK, a little bit over priced for what you get. Only had one coffee sachet in room and you could not fill the kettle from the tap as the basin was too small. The advertising said quite sound proof rooms but it sounded like a herd of elephants were running up and down the stairs. But it was close to the RNS which was what I needed

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room - basic, but serviced daily. 5 minute walk to Royal North Shore Private Hospital, with pedestrian lights to cross Pacific Highway. Free off street parking. Breakfast included - not fancy, but functional. Family atmosphere with many other guests in the same situation. Flexible when faced with the problem that I may need to stay an extra day. Will stay here again.

  • Tim Hoban

You get what you pay for. I got a clean room with a comfortable bed. I also got two skylights directly above my bed! On the other hand when I mentioned this the owner (nice guy) gave me a free breakfast. The cafe had a poster of the Sistine Chapel ceiling stuck to the ceiling. It's that kind of place :P

A disgusting bed, dirty linen, and low water pressure in the bathroom were some of my complaints. It was supposed to be a five-day stay, but I only stayed two nights and changed hotels. It is difficult to park a big car in a hotel parking lot. A zero-star rating is appropriate for this property.

Great service, nothing that I requested was a problem. The Gentleman in reception was very helpful and very friendly. The room was a comfortable spacious room. Slept really well, I didn't hear the road noise. Really good shower, very clean room and bathroom. Nice flat walk to RNS hospital. Approx 7mins. This place was all that I needed.

I DO NOT recommend it they false advertise saying they have free wifi because it's not they also advertise a spa bath and there isn't any baths at all the rooms are tiny and the beds are old I checked in went to the room and immediately went straight back out and got a refund and stayed elsewhere not a good experience at all

Room was very clean if a little on the smallish side. Very close to North Shore Hospital and all facilities we needed. Complimentary Continental Breakfast was very much appreciated as was the free undercover parking on site. Rava and staff were very obliging, polite and helpful in every way. Recommend anyone to stay there.

This place is great for a budget stay. Staff are really friendly! Free breakfast is basic but saves some $$$. We stayed for two nights. Was close to a train station (5 minutes down the road). Parking was great. Rooms were clean and had ensuites with great shower pressure. Would recommend for a budget trip.
