I have been to this dental place thrice. The first two times were good but when I visited them recently for a consultation, I did not have a good experience. I was unsure about a black mark on my teeth but Dr. Jesse Ryan confirmed that it was nothing and suggested that I get the fluoride treatment where they put a certain kind of paste on the teeth for 2 minutes. When I was done, the front desk receptionist asked me to pay $24, but I have my insurance and everything is 75% covered. When I asked her why I had to pay $24, she told me that the fluoride treatment is covered every nine months and I already had one a few months ago from them but they did not find it important to ask me if I really want to pay the full price or not. She went back to Dr. Jesse Ryan and came back and told me that the doctor has given me a discount and I do not need to pay. Later that day I got an email from my insurance that the dental clinic had claimed $88 for consultation and they did not even inform me. This is stealing and illegal. When I reached out to the clinic, they did not give me a valid answer and hung up on me. I do not think I will go back to them ever.

Greenwood Dental Portage has been amazing!! I had an accident a few weeks back that left my front teeth loose. I called for emergency service and I was in a dentist's chair within an hour of calling. Dr. Jessy fixed a retainer in place to protect the teeth and allow them time to heal naturally. She even stitched my lip, which healed beautifully. The staff were kind and helped me feel comfortable on what was a very stressful day. Their equipment is modern and clean. They have been monitoring progress of my tooth fracture with X-rays and I feel confident they did everything right. The front desk staff were attentive and had insurance processed quickly. I went back a second time for a cleaning and they had me in & out in record time. Sam, my hygienist was professional, upbeat & focused. I may need a root canal for this damaged tooth down the road and I will absolutely be seeing Greenwood Dental for their services.

I had never been here before but my usual children’s dentist was not returning my messages so I decided to try them out. I took my 4 year old son to see Dr. Jessy for an extraction which was also his first visit ever to the dentist. He was very nervous and Dr. Jessy and 2 other staff Chrissy and Mary went to work giving him treats and toys and balloons to make him as comfortable as possible. They put on his favourite show Paw Patrol and distracted him as best they could. They removed his tooth very quickly and made the extraction as pleasant as an extraction can be. My son even smiled on the way home and made jokes after he realized he was not in pain anymore. Thank you to all the staff who were so kind to my child and made him feel as safe as they could. I would recommend this location at 246 Portage Ave. to anyone needing a new dentist. Jason

It was my first time to visit and it took a while to verify my insurance, but once they verified it and ushered me inside it was okay. Dr. Jessy and Marry Ann attended to me and explained what procedures needed to be done and explained my insurance coverage. I didn't have enough time so I opted to visit back. The clinic was clean and well equipped. They checked my temperature each time and all are wearing a mask. It made me feel safe. They also gave me a call a day before of my appointments as a reminder. I had 2 sessions for filling, root canal and a tooth extraction. I did not feel pain at all during the procedures and Dr. Jessy and Marry Ann really made me comfortable through the whole process. The rest of the staff are also so nice and accommodating. Oh, and I also got a free rechargeable toothbrush. Thank you.

3 weeks ago, I was having severe dental pain and was seen at the Pembina location and referred to the Portage location as I required surgery under anesthesia. This was on a Saturday, that Monday I was called because they had a cancellation and they could do mine the next day (Tuesday)! They even arranged their shuttle service for me. Dr.Jessy did a great job, the entire team was kind, respectful, supportive & professional. The Anesthesiologist made me very comfortable & answered my questions nicely and patiently. If you have anxiety or issues with going to the Dentist, I highly encourage and recommend this place! Dr.Jessy and her assistant did my follow up today(Feb 8)to see how I’m doing post-op and I’m happy to report that I’m in excellent shape dentally!

Worst place for wisdom teeth removal. I ended up in the hospital due to a sever infection after 24 hours of surgery (didn’t eat anything & followed all medical advice) so it was obviously a botched surgery. I wish I would have stayed awake to watch. The medical team was nice but there was one bald older white man who was so rude and rushing me (I was having anxiety). This dental clinic likes to also sue people over reviews which I think scares people from telling the truth, so I can’t say too much. This place should be investigated, for that reason my family will never be back. I would not recommend as I could have died from the infection that’s how intense it was.

That’s my first time being here and I would definitely recommend this dental office to everyone! Everything was perfect - super friendly receptionists checked me in and helped me out with medical history, all assistants were very careful and, of course, Dr.Jessy did a great job with my teeth! By the way, they have direct billing that worked perfectly for me. If you’re still thinking of getting your treatment done here - come in and you won’t regret!

This is the best dentist's office in the city. You may wait slightly longer past your appointment time but they are very busy so that makes sense. The dental hygienist is so gentle and explains everything he's doing. The dentist is kind and to the point. Everything is painless and quick. As long as the staff doesn't change, I won't go anywhere else. They also have a shuttle that will pick up and and drop you off if you need it!

Absolutely fantastic here. I was long overdue for a visit to a dentist. They got me in very quickly, and took such good care of me! Staff was very friendly. I wasn't made to feel bad about the state of my teeth like I felt about them. I know they were in need of some TLC. Overall very professional and will definitely be back sooner rather than another five years down the road haha. Highly recommended.

The hygienist Sam did an amazing job with my cleaning. It was a comfortable and pleasant experience. Dr Jessy was very friendly and professional during my appointment. The receptionists Anna and Lav were very nice and helpful. They made sure to update me about my patient portion and good news they direct bill to lot of insurance companies. I recommend Greenwoods dental for your dental services!!!

First time there and my first time at a dentist since Covid, so I don't know if the way the place is set up is due to Covid or not. I definitely liked the way things are set up, and there is a TV for the patient to watch while being worked on. I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG to say about the place & while no one wants to go to the dentist, I feel that I will not dislike going there if needed.

Very friendly, professional group of people working in all the different departments we experienced, they went out of their way at front desk to assist us with a few inquiries and concerns, namely with non-insured etc, as well as scheduling around poor weather flight issues getting to the first appointment, very satisfied and impressed with this young staff, thank you Mike and Eileen

I recently visited this office due to an emergency, and I was incredibly impressed with the care I received. Dr. Jessy was exceptionally attentive and effectively resolved my issue. I'd like to extend my special thanks to the helpful assistants and receptionists who went the extra mile to make my visit exceptionally comfortable.

Very quiet and calming atmosphere, dentist and assistants are very friendly and welcoming. Plus they make sure I understand everything they tell me about my teeth and explain it right away. They also ask if I have questions about anything before I leave ! Found out I have only three wisdom teeth which is weird but now I know !

Always a pleasant experience going back here with my family, the clinic is always clean, they provide shuttle services, the staff is very friendly and the service is great. Dr.Jesey's very hands on with her patients, very reassuring and we were also helped by very nice and friendly Van & Trix with our appointment today!

Staff was very helpful and friendly. I made an appointment for my daughter via email. They also kept me updated using Facebook messenger, which was very convenient for me. They even got a hold of NIHB for me. They also provided rides to my hotel and from my appointment. Will recommend greenwood to family and friends

It took a while to get my treatment. They could have informed to come earlier than the appointment time to get ready with the insurance part. The receptionist Shannon was nice. I waited longer than the time I was treated. The dentist was nice and she made sure it's painless.
