I really hope this feedback is taken on board by your sales team because the product quality is there and really, for a long standing business to have its reputation damaged by some staff is a real shame. I work with health care professionals to correct my foot issues, and on their recommendation I have visited Grundy's many times over the years. Each time that I've come into the store (many), I've been given the hard sell on products that I clearly am not interested in. This is an issue particularly with the more mature sales assistants - this is not an ageist issue, just an observation. Never had an issue with the younger staff, all of whom seem easy going and not there to make a quick buck or force a sale. Unfortunately today's assistant was snooty, pushy and disingenuous. Paired with the consistently tone deaf service and the hassle of the whole ordeal, the store has lost this long term customer.

Having had recent bunion surgery on both feet and living in a coastal town in northern NSW, options for good shoes are limited. On a holiday to visit family in Adelaide, I googled this shop. Coincidently my sister is a customer too. I spent an hour with Lisa and she was amazing. She helped me find three pairs of shoes and a pair of Birkenstocks to fit very sore and swollen feet. The next day I went in and saw Christine to make sure I was wearing the new pair of leather Frankies properly. The staff are knowledgeable and honest. I can't recommend this store enough. I was fearful of wearing old grannie flat ugly shoes for the rest of my life, but now I'm wearing trendy fashionable shoes again. Thank you so much and now I know my size I can be an on line shopper.

The staff was great at giving suggestions with the suitable shoes for my feet. But from time to time, she mumbled in the bad manner. I just kept it inside until I was about to pay, just asked if they had any sales on the Birkenstock at all because there were sale signs on the walls. Then she went “No, never. Are you kidding me? The company paid a lot of money to get these shoes in the store and you asked for discount?” There was no harm of me asking that, why she had this attitude kind of insulting me asking? The stars are for her knowledge and the shoes’ quality, but not for this particular staff attitude.

Beware! I've bought the last pair of RM WILLIAMS - DYNAMIC FLEX CRAFTSMAN BOOTS during special (I've checked the website and my size was gone after my order) and got the following message next day: "We are unable to fulfill your order. R.M.Williams are officially SOLD OUT" If the pair was in stock at the time it was purchased and disappeared from the list after my order the company needs to improve the stock management. I guess what actually happened it was sold to the other customer for higher price in store.

The online team at Grundy’s shoes are fantastic! I purchased a pair of boots that were unfortunately sold out but Evangeline and her team were super helpful! I messaged them asking if they’d be restocked and she took down my details to notify my when they will be restocked and also directed me to other retailers in case I needed them urgently. All in all their responsiveness, friendliness and genuine desire to help really makes Grundy’s Shoes stand apart!

I have been shopping at Grundy's since I can remember. I always come back for the friendly, loyal service and the great selection of shoes on offer. I recently came in to buy a pair of ARCHE and could not be happier with these shoes and of course the service. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they always go above and beyond. I love supporting a well-known South Australian family business, thank you Grundy's :)

As soon as we walked into the store, Erin was super friendly and helpful! She sized us up for a pair of Birkenstock’s and was super knowledgeable around the brand. Gave us great tips on how to keep them in the best condition possible, and even checked their other stores’ stock when we were after a different colour. Highly recommend anyone in need of Birkenstock’s to pay Grundy’s a visit!!

After traipsing around the Rundle mall all day shopping looking for “comfortable evening/wedding shoes” a kind sales lady sent me to find Grundys shoes in Rundle street. Within 5 minutes of telling Janita what I needed I had a pair of shoes that I was ecstatic with- just what I wanted. From now on Grundys will be my first stop. Thanks Janita you saved the day

Helpful and friendly staff. A huge range of shoes available at Grundy's. This shop is my only choice if I need footwears because the quality of their product is very nice. The staff is very helpful and all the sections are well classified. Overall this is my favourite and maybe it become your's also if you go with my suggestion of choosing them.

Absolutely love this store. Always have a great variety of shoes for those with needy feet like me (orthotics, flat feet and all that). The staff are amazing. Super attentive, patient, and extremely helpful. Every time I have been here I've found what I've needed and have seen me through to supportive shoes that actually last and I don't hate.

The salesperson was very helpful and a good listener, but also patient too. They had a great variety of brands of shoes and boots for different needs. I recently purchased a pair of ankle boots and they are very comfortable. The leather is nice and soft with a flexible sole.The first time I wore the boots in and I didn't get any blisters.

These guys are good. They're kind of a boutique shoe shop, if that's a thing, and they stock upper quality shoes that you don't generally see in other shops. I've bought shoes from there for some time and they've generally lasted quite a while, with re-soling of course. And they've been generally quite good to deal with.

Very unhelpful and unfriendly staff consistently. I go in regularly to look for shoes and then shop online because of how horrific the customer service is. Grundy's Rundle St you need to re-evaluate your recruitment because this is what is losing you business. The shoes are great but the staff not.

I recently purchased a couple of pairs of shoes from the Grundys Victor Harbor store and I found both sales assistants Kathy and Anna to be so helpful, the shop was amazing and I felt they went above and beyond in helping me with my choices. Keep up the fantastic work lady's I will see you soon.

Very easy to deal with. Called earlier to enquire about shoes for my mother in law and the salesperson was very helpful. On arrival it was an easy transaction. Not our first time and considering the range of Birkenstocks and service, we will be back for future pairs. Thankyou!

We bought three pairs of Birkenstocks, and we came for the brand, and this was our first time in the store, and one of the older women was very rude, like she was impatient to serve us, and we had never seen such a bad waiter. We're never coming to this store again.

Nice shoes however felt so uncomfortable buying shoes, with the worst customer service. The lady looked down at us and was like she was suggesting their shoes was to goo for me. It really put me off buying shoes from them.

Very disappointed when after purchasing 2 pairs of shoes at the total value of $425, finding one of the pair of shoes not $5 not $10 but $80 cheaper. How can this be? My fault I know. Won’t be going back there again.
