Snoopy: a tale of sheer stupidity, near death experience and a miracle. My fur baby survived a fall from seven stories apartment with no permanent damage. If this is not a miracle, I don't know what is. Long story short, on 26th Dec around 2.30pm, She sneaked past me and managed to make a gap in the net of the balcony, slid past it and slipped from the grill straight to the concrete roof of the driveway, and this all happened within two minutes. Found her within ten minutes of the accident, sighted her first from the roof and had an almost heart attack when I sprinted down all the eight floors and then at close proximity saw her lying sideways with eyes wide open, still bodied and blood around and inside her mouth. My building's Caretaker was kind enough to check her immediately for pulse as I was completely in shock and panic for a few moments and told me she's alive and moving. Then happened the rush to wrap her up quickly, take her to Gulshan pet clinic which took 40minutes and all my mental strength and prayers to make it before it's too late. Her initial diagnosis was she might have severe internal injuries, no visible bone fracture and a cut in her soft palate(inside mouth). After initial emergency treatment, Had to leave her there for observation overnight and a X ray next day if needed. Gulshan Pet Clinic did their best, administering emergency treatment, observing and keeping me up to date, feeding and taking care of her meds, and all that with utmost love, care and sincerity. They told me later that night that Snoopy is walking normally, bleeding stopped, and theres no sign of internal injury. All in all, Snoopy has cut lips and injured soft palate which will need a careful diet next few months, but other than that, she's physically fine, a bit traumatised, super cranky at her caretakers at feeding time(if being ungrateful had a face), and hopefully not terrorising her fellow cat mates in the foster.
