"A brilliant, well-established gym"
"It's only been a week that I started at Gym 21 and I'm getting already addicted trying to get extra free time so I can attend more often"
"As a long term user of the gym its sad to see the decline of the fight room upstairs, what was once an enjoyable training experience has now become a chore, having to clear up other people's mess and trying to train with damaged bags-more stringency is needed on whos permitted entry as some are clearly not here to train"
"This gym is mainly for people who know what their doing"
"Great gym fully recommend"
A brilliant, well-established gym. The atmosphere kinda blends an authentic American health club with a bit of spit 'n sawdust and the result is something unique. There's absolutely tons of equipment here and it can be quite daunting to a newcomer unfamiliar with the layout. There are enough free weights to satisfy a seasoned lifter and some of the Nautilus and Hammer Strength machines are fairly rare and feel fantastic. This is a no-frills sort of place. A few of the machines' fabrics have seen better days, the toilets are a little rough and ready and the sun bed and steam room no longer function... but let's be honest, are these features really why you'd join an old-school gym? If you're deliberating between joining Gym 21 or your run of the mill fitness chain, choose here. The price is more or less the same and the staff (shout out to Paul) and members are extremely friendly. Nobody judges you - we're all here to lift heavy things and there's people of all shapes, sizes and ages training together under one roof.
It's only been a week that I started at Gym 21 and I'm getting already addicted trying to get extra free time so I can attend more often. I was a bit stressed at first and a bit too self conscious, but all the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcomed and comfortable from day 1, plus they motivate u to go more often which I find really nice of them. You should really go check out the kickboxing and wrestling lessons that are basically free (!) training with 2 different instructors there u will get the most intense training ever, those 2 guys know very well what they doing and they are very friendly and helpful too towards begginers but don't get fooled they not gonna go easy on you they seriously train you, Keep up the good job guys you just got yourself one more regular
As a long term user of the gym its sad to see the decline of the fight room upstairs, what was once an enjoyable training experience has now become a chore, having to clear up other people's mess and trying to train with damaged bags-more stringency is needed on whos permitted entry as some are clearly not here to train..plus a couple more bags and the place will once again be rocking
This gym is mainly for people who know what their doing. Old school lads. People who want results and are surounded by like minded profesionals & also every day folk. Bearing in mind the owner was Mr univers in 1996 BiLL JONES No contracts no hidden stuff what you see is what you get..GREAT PLACE..
Great gym fully recommend. Billy Jones amazing guy and bodybuilder. Perfect for amateur or dedicated gym goers amazing equipment and good old school free weights plus machines always have a good work out easily the best gym in liverpool if not the north west …
The gym itself is ran by Mr Univers Bill Jones 1996, and has been a very efficient gym in most ways,IE great staff and top of the range equipment. Home from home for me.Great gym itself. Great place to get fit and very educational. Five stars..
Recently joined this gym. Paul was brilliant. Showed me all the equipment I needed and really helped me get started. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly and as a woman it feels very safe. No posing or posh gym outfits. It’s a place
Best place to train great staff , the gym is old school that's the best way to train , big shout out to Tommy and Paul cheers …
Really good oldschool type gym and I really prefer this type of gym to fancy new gyms Staff are great And the atmosphere is really good didn't find it intimidating
Old school, hardcore bodybuilding gym. Everything you need for a good workout and then some. You can't have a bad workouts in a place with an atmosphere like this
The best gym in liverpool in my opinion. It's a bit rough and raw but that's what makes it a good gym it's got a piece of equipment for every muscle
Its a true and true body building gym, ive learned alot and gained alot in that place and i dont plan on stoping
I think it looks like a good place but very old school was going to come in to sign up but got a bit unsure
Love it ,just like second home for last 30 + years off and on since 18 now 55 still loving it
Don't like how they have a gym for women only. It's not equal it's putting women above men.
Proper weightlifting and bodybuilding gym. Weightlifting and MMA coaching available also.
If you want to build and what to do it properly this is where to go excellent gym
Good gym but would be better if he would turn on the sauna and steam.
